  • In this paper, the asynchronous quasi dual-port SRAM employing a single port structure in SRAM embedded SOC (System On Chip) is proposed. External host can access the internal SRAM freely and the data on internal SRAM can be transferred to an another external circuitry without a synchronous signal of an external host, which operates as an asynchronous dual-port SRRAH The performances of the proposed circuits and control structure are verified through the simulation and we fabricated it using a 0.35um CMOS technology. As the results, the chip shows reduced area about 20% and saved power also 20% than conventional architectures.

  • In this paper, a method of inputting one analog input and two digital switch inputs by using one analog port of microcontroller embedded in IoT device was proposed. In this method, the upper limit and the lower limit of the input voltage range of the analog input port are determined, and the analog input voltage is input to this interval. The digital switches are configured to exceed the boundaries of the upper and lower limits, respectively. To verify the performance of the proposed method, an experimental circuit was constructed and tested using a microcontroller. As a result, all three inputs can be sensed using a single analog port, thus confirming that the three required input ports are reduced to one input port, ie, 33%.

  • The Netherlands is a human-made country and an extremely well-designed European country as well. The general Dutch spatial planning for the city and environment takes place at a regional level. The local community determines the primary development conditions, and the prospect is included in a legally binding land-use plan. Especially, Rotterdam is a representative port city as the center of world trade and the gateway to western Europe. According to the history of war, the city reconstruction and the movement of the port area have led to a general change in Rotterdam and the regional redevelopment project on the southern port area of Mass river for the expansion of city functions and the balanced development. The research purpose is to understand the spatial development of the Netherlands city-region based on the analysis regarding the Kop van Zuid project, which is a representative implemented case in Rotterdam. The theoretical framework is the five dimensions and twelve indicators of territorial governance from the TANGO research project by the EU. The target case is assessed by planning and social aspect, respectively, and the results are discussed based on the theoretical framework. This research has the possibility to be utilized as advanced research by the European perspective for spatial development in other city-regions with the port area, such as Incheon and Busan in Korea.

  • Spain is Europe's second-largest country with total throughput reaching 16.7 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) by 2020. The purpose of this study was to measure and compare the efficiency of 17 container terminals. As a study method, the DEA-CCR model, undesirable variable, and Malmquist Index (MI) were used for data envelopment analysis (DEA). The study results are as follow: (1) DEA-CCR is used to evaluate basic efficiency. The most efficient terminals are decision-making units DMU 1 (APM Terminals (Algeciras Port)), DMU 2 (Total Terminal International Algeciras (Algeciras Port)) and DMU 5 (Barcelona Europe South Terminal (Barcelona Port)). (2) Undesirable DEA was conducted to suggest inefficiency from the undesirable output. Overall, the efficiency scores were reduced. However, DMU 1, DMU 2, and DMU 5 maintained efficiency scores regardless of the finish factor. (3) Malmquist Index was used to observe technology and efficiency changes dynamically. The changes in TCI affected Spanish container terminals more than the Technical Efficiency Change Index (TECI) in 2018-2019. However, in 2019-2020, the TECI was 2.706, higher than the TCI value, indicating that the change in TECI had more influence on the increase in productivity. This study offers a broader understanding of Spanish container terminals.

  • It is no exaggeration to say that today's world economy is dependent on international trade, which is the result of inter-state transactions. As the vast majority of international goods transport is transported by international shipping, interest in the seaborne transport field is natural in international and trade studies. In particular, in the case of international shipping, as it is the basis of typical international transportation, changes in international shipping due to the innovation of technology may have an effect on international trade norms. In this study, as a result of evaluating port preference in a hypothetical scenario by using the Design of Experiments method, bunkering as well as port service, which is traditionally important, was identified as a major competitive factor of future ports. It has been revealed that, above all, the port to respond to the future is the continued importance of port services and the supply of ship fuel. Therefore, port authorities are providing implications that LNG bunkering infrastructure suitable for international environmental regulations is important.

  • Reduced-port gastrectomy (RPG) includes all procedures derived from various efforts to minimize surgical invasiveness, with single-incision laparoscopic gastrectomy (SILG) being the ultimate reduced-port technique. However, there are challenges related to its feasibility, oncological validity, training, and education. This review describes the current issues and challenges, as well as the future prospects of RPG for gastric cancer. Gastrectomy, which started as an open surgery, has evolved into a laparoscopic surgery. With the advancements in laparoscopic technology, SILG has been used to minimize surgical scarring. However, owing to the technical difficulties of SILG, cases involving the addition of 1 trocar or needle grasper alongside the multichannel port have also been reported. Additionally, 3-port laparoscopic gastrectomy (3PLG) using only 3 trocars is also being performed. RPG, as a concept, includes a range of approaches such as SILG, 2-port laparoscopic gastrectomy, and 3PLG. These techniques aimed to reduce the number of ports or incisions required for laparoscopic gastrectomy. Despite technical difficulties, RPGs offer numerous advantages, including minimal invasiveness, excellent cosmetic outcomes, and the potential for improved postoperative recovery, such as reduced length of hospital stay and post-operative pain. It could be considered similar to conventional laparoscopic gastrectomy, and may not be oncologically inferior. Ongoing studies, such as the KLASS 12, are required to gain further insights.

  • In this study experiments are conducted with a mid-layer type structure. This structure can operate not only at water surface but also in water. Six degrees of freedom oscillations of the structure and mooring force were measured by model experiments. From these experiments, it was shown that the lattice model has two peaks in the surge response curve and the oscillation amplitude and mooring forces increase according to the distance of separation between water level and upper deck.

  • Presently, cycle-slip detection is done between adjacent two points in many cycle-slip methods. Inherently, it is simple wavelet analysis. A new idea is put forward that the number of difference point can adjust by a parameter factor; we study this method to smooth raw data and detect cycle-slip with wavelet analysis. Taking CHAMP satellite data for example, we get some significant conclusions. It is showed that it is valid to detect cycle-slip in GPS phase measurement based on this wavelet function, and it is helpful to improve the precision of GPS data pre-processing and positioning.

  • In this research, We'll focus on warm environment and ventilation characteristics when utilizing intake ports, exhaust port and 4-way cassettes for removing heat and polluted air. Four way cassettes have been typical air conditioning units for offices since the multi air-conditioner was introduced. The following installation cases will also be discussed: 1) 4-way cassette's operation without intake ports and exhaust port. 2) Effect of the position of intake port and exhaust ports. 3) cooling air flow, temperature. distribution and local supply index according to the air flow rate from 4-way cassettes.

  • A two-stroke Schnurle-type gasoline engine was modified to enable compression-ignition in both the port fuel injection and the in-cylinder direct injection. Using the engine, examinations of compression-ignition operation and engine performance tests were carried out. The amount of the residual gas and the in-cylinder mixture conditions were controlled by varying the valve angle rate of the exhaust valve (VAR) and the injection timing for direct injection conditions. It was found that the direct injection system is superior to the port injection system in terms of exhaust gas emissions and thermal efficiency, and that almost the same operational region of compression-ignition at medium speeds and loads was attained. Some interesting combustion characteristics, such as a shorter combustion period in higher engine speed conditions, and factors for the onset of compression-ignition were also examined.
