회전 Laser 슬릿 빔을 이용한 AGV의 위치 및 자세의 검출 (Detection of AGV's position and orientation using laser slit beam)

  • The major movement block of the containers have range between apron and designation points on yard in container terminal. The yard tractor operated by human takes charge of its movement in conventional container terminal. In automated container terminal, AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle) has charge of the yard tractor's role and the navigation path is ordered from upper level control system. The automated container terminal facilities must have the docking system to guide landing line to have high speed travelling and precision positioning. The general method for docking system uses the vision system with CCD camera, infra red, and laser. This paper describes the detection of AGV's position and orientation using laser slit beam to develop docking system.

A Study on Certification of Officers in charge of a Navigational Watch on Tug-barges

  • Marine accidents related to the tug-barges are frequent recently, such as oil spill caused by collision between oil tankers and tug-barges. There are many causes of these accidents, but poor working condition of operators takes up a considerable part of most causes. That is, the danger of accidents caused by fatigue accumulation exists in tug-barges of less than 200 gross tonnage engaged on near-coastal voyages or short shipping, because of the long-distance navigational watch by only one master. This paper aims to deduce problems of human element part out of the plan of sqfe navigation, and to propose legal amendments for preventing marine accidents by tug-barges.

  • Although all costs concerned in transportation be separated by region and each terms and conditions of Incoterms that state cleary them who have to pay the charges. But, almost lcl exporters donot want to pay their charges the carriers at loading port eventhough they make the contracts with the importer as FOB and CFR of Incoterms. And the carrier have been do not bill the FOB charges to the shipper. Now, there are no more Incoterms in LCL transportation. So, the importer have been payed loading port charges twice, first, the contract with the shipper, secondly, through the destination charge. These problems make decreasing of trading volume and increasing of logistics costs. We suggest every traders and carriers separate the costs as per the price terms and conditions of incoterms and bill/receive the costs separated the trader who have to pay the charges as per their price terms. It will bring mutual success in the world and increasing trade.

Study on Charge Transfer Characteristics of Self-Assembled Viologen Monolayers

  • Viologen has been extensively investigated in the paper because their well-behaved electrochemistry has led to their use in a variety of theses, including the electron acceptor for the electric charge delivery mediation of the devices. It was formed monolayer in QCM by self-assembly method. We could know the adsorbed mass of viologen molecules from the frequency shift. We calculated that the adsorbed mass was about 196 [$ng/cm^2$]. We studied the electron transfer property of viologen by the cyclic voltammetry among the electrochemical process so we changed an anion like 0.1 M $NaClO_4$ and $Na_3PO_4$ electrolyte solution and investigated the interrelationship between scan rate and peak current when scan rates were increased twice.

In unmanned container terminal, UCT(unmanned container transporter) has charge of the yard tractor's role and the navigation path is ordered from upper level control system. The unmanned container terminal facilities must have docking system that guided landing line to have high speed travelling and precision positioning in unmanned container terminal. The general method for docking uses the vision system with CCD camera, infra red, and laser. This paper describes the investigation for the developed docking method in view point of merit and demerit and introduces 속 result of developing the docking system with LSB(laser slit beam).

  • This paper is concerned with developing a standard costing model based on the case study of PECT and GCT and analysing their profitability in order to improve operation efficiency and design business strategy. In doing so, the model can be a useful tool to analyze current calculation system of lease charge at the two terminals and to judge whether the level of lease charge currently applied to them is justifiable for their profitability. This paper also deals with break-even analysis of container terminal operating companies on the basis of the model and forecast of their profitability. On the top of that, it tries to look into the arguments and to suggest proposals for improving their profitability.

  • 본 연구에서는 STCW 국제협약의 해기 관련 자격증명에 관한 최저요건을 살펴보고 국내 해기교육 및 면허제도, 해군장교능력평가(PQS) 제도를 비교분석하여 해군 PQS 제도의 발전방안을 모색하여 보았다. 해군 PQS 제도의 발전사항으로 평가범위의 조정, 평가내용의 확대와 유형의 다양화, 장교 출신별 해기 관련 교육의 차별화 등의 방안을 제시하였다.

해상운송인의 책임기간에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Period of Carrie's Responsibility)

  • This study focuses on analysing the period of carrier's responsibility. The Hague Rules apply only while the cargo is in carriage. This period of carrier's responsibility begins when the ship' tackle is hooked on the goods for loading and continues until they are unhooked from the lifting gear after discharge. The Hague Rules are consequently said to apply from tackle to tackle. Also The Hamburg Rules lays down the basic principle that the carrier will be responsible for the goods during the time he is in charge of them at the port of loading, during the carriage and at the port of discharge. These period of carrier's responsibility should be determinated according to custom of the port of loading and discharge because of the importance of local custom in the loading and discharge of goods.

인천항 항만하역 재해분석 및 예방대책에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis and Prevention for Cargo Handling Accidents in Incheon Port)

  • The port, differently from general working place, is a closed area to execute security, customs, and quarantine procedures. The loading and unloading is being done differently by cargoes, ships, berths, and equipments. To load and unload a lot of equipments and different types of labor are required, in which work flow is very complicated. As above mentioned the port is very unique and deteriorated working place including danger. The purpose of this thesis is to propose ways to analyze and establish the preventive measure for cargo handling accidents in port. We have collected 923 accidents happened at Incheon Port during the period from 1994 to 2003. And to analyze and establish the preventive measure we have employed an advanced 6sigma DMAIC technology presently in spotlight as the best tool for management innovation. For the purpose of effective safety management of cargo handling in port, this thesis will help to revise and establish the law, system, standard, and standard working manual with respect to the port loading and unloading system. Now frequency of cargo handling accidents in port is highest for the second time among all industries, so we proposed the new safety management system to substitute port safety committee and to take full charge of safety in Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

DME/Diesel 듀얼 퓨얼 엔진의 연소 및 배출 특성에 관한 연구 (Research on the Combustion and Emission Characteristics of the DME/Diesel Dual-fuel Engine)

  • This study investigates the potential of DME/Diesel dual fuel engine for reducing emissions with same power. Dual fuel engine controls the combustion using two different fuels, DME and diesel with different auto-ignition timings. In the previous work, the caracteristics of combustion and emissions under single cylinder engine and ignition is done by compression ignition. Pre-mixture is formed by injecting low-pressure DME into an intake manifold and high-pressure fuel (diesel or DME) is injected directly into the cylinder. Both direct diesel injection and port fuel injection reduced the significant amount of Smoke, CO and NOx in the homogeneous charge compression ignition engine due to present of oxygen in DME. In addition, when injecting DME directly in cylinder with port DME injection, there is no changes in emissions and energy consumption rate even operated by homogeneous charge compression ignition.
