It is very important for elementary school students in sixth grades who are reaching the age of puberty to acquire right knowledge and desirable attitude toward sex so that can overcome psychological instability caused by physical growth, be responsible for their behaviors and lead happy lives. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the effects of sex educatin in the population of primary school students. The subjects of this study were 767 six-grades in one private and two public elementary school in Seoul. The research tool was a questionnairebased on a literature review. The sex education given to the subjects included 50 minutes lecture. The research methodology included data collection done before and the sex education was given to the subjects, to assess their knowledge of, and attitude toward sex, one week later after the sex education was given to assess change in knowledge of, and attitude to, sex. The data was analyzed through pc-SAS program. real numbers, percentage, 1-test, and ANOVA were utilized. The results of this study are as follows : 1. After sex education, the score of sixth grade elementary students’ sex knowledge was higher than before(t=11.92, p=0.0001) 2. After sex education, the score of sixth grade elementary students’ sex attitude was higher than before (t=2.08, p=0.0373). From the above findings, it can be said that sex education given to the children reaching the age of puberty significantly influences their knowledge of, and attitude toward. Therefore, for children to have the sound knowledge and positive attitude of sec, it is suggested that sex education should be included in their curriculum in order that systematic sex education be practiced.
Improving the urban environmental quality relies mainly on the increasing of urban forests capacity to store carbon dioxide. This study assesses the floristic diversity of urban institutional lands in Bukavu and their potential to reduce atmospheric $CO_2$. An exhaustive inventory over three sites ($Coll{\grave{e}}ge$ Alfajiri, $Cath{\acute{e}}drale$ Notre-Dame de la Paix and Institut $Sup{\acute{e}}rieur$$P{\acute{e}}dagogique$) of Bukavu led to the identification of 1,113 trees of which the diameter at breast height (1.30 m) ranged from 4.9 to 161 cm. Results reveal a floristic diversity made up of 4 families of conifers with 4 species and 14 of broadleaves with 21 species. Average densities were of $54trees\;ha^{-1}$ and $5.21m^2\;ha^{-1}$ of basal area. Urban-based allometric equations used yielded up to 312.8 tons of carbon stored in trees aboveground biomass equivalent to 1,147.9 tons of $CO_2$ reduced from the atmosphere over the three sites. The rate of carbon storage reaches $15.1tons\;ha^{-1}$. Thus, trees of the three institutional sites in Bukavu play an important role in reducing atmospheric $CO_2$ and contribute, thereby, to mitigate global climate change effects. Given the current environmental challenge associated with high population growth rate in cities, the urban forest ecosystem in DRC requires to be extended and further investigation.
Background: Family planning is widely practiced today to resolve the over-growing population and overcome obstacles that thwart socio-economic growth. While Ghana was the first country in Africa to implement family planning program, its birthrate is still twice as much as world average due to weak infrastructure and strategic plans to enforce the policy. Thus, there is a need to objectively verify the factors that affect family planning of fertile women of Ghana. Methods: Total of 630 self-administered questionnaires were distributed from April 8 to 17 of 2013 to collect data. Six-hundred eighteen questionnaires were analyzed, excluding the 12 incomplete questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed using PASW SPSS ver. 18, and logistic regression analysis was performed to verify the factors that affect practice of family planning. Results: Satisfaction with health and medical facilities, experience with family planning education and awareness of birth control methods significantly affected practice of family planning. Based on analysis using odds ratio, enforcement rate of family planning increased by 4.574 times when the subjects were satisfied with health and medical facilities, by 3.920 times when received family planning education, and by 3.284 times when they were aware of birth control methods. Conclusion: By adopting family planning education program, government should be able to change fertile women's perception of family planning. A strategic plan is necessary in order to increase access to medical facilities, improve service satisfaction, and induce women to enforce family planning voluntarily.
Our conuntry have come out to the phenomenon to the atrocity crimes, make into a intellecture crims and specialization with them due to various change to the expension of economy growth, drift of population to cities and sense of value is plunged in confution, Now that things have come to this day, since foundation of the security guard law it first begin, ten years, civilian securities guard law was include to the civil service securities law due to amendment fo the civility secuties law newly on Dec. 30, 1995. According to the amendment, the part of the public peace of peoples livelihood were slough of the visual angle in knowledge which function of the civilies security were only be in under the government dimension were put in order to be tointly according to the such state of affairs, should found the consider a counterplan fundamentally regarding to the what to doing efforts foster the civilities securitylaw and qualitalive elevation of presidential guards. To make a long story short by few words, the question resolves itself into the following five points. The first, peoples arrengements for the attitude fo public duty service with devotedly Sustaining publicity work activities for the thire divert of the understanding of civilian security guard. The secondly, Existing security traders and security association should to support to the civilian security works. The third, The government office concerned should strengthen the licensing system in order to improve the quality of existings in order to may establishment newly systems of license and technical institute of regarding to them. The fourth, Should be newly organixed the exclusive organization of personal protective works in the police buroau for the sustaining development of civirity guard works and soundness of the upbringing. The fifth, It is necessary to found the reserch institute for the study on oretical, scholarly, study for the technical reserch and enlargement of effeciveness And try to find a solution to the Universitys function and duty, activity plan, support plan to the Department of security specialist for the come forward in succession it under the national assistance. The finally, I am sure that the Korean security association could be transiormed into the organization which reliable and receive a love from the peoples when doing best utmost to do pursuit of the structure to be a securitys legalism, specialization and total security systems.
The goal of this research is to explore quantitative and residential features and spatial patterns of two-person households to suggest policy implications for housing supply and development in Seoul. Major findings of this study are as follows. First, the number of two-person households has increased rapidly mainly due to the growth of the elderly and single-parent households. They are mainly composed of the elderly over 60s and the youth of 30s of householder age. They are less likely to have well-paying jobs, and thus more likely to suffer from poverty. They are also inclined to live in rental and small-sized residential units and spatial segregation between the youth and the elderly became serious. In addition, their residential area can be classified into four types: area adjacent to employment centers, hinterland of urban centers, affordable multi-family housing area and redeveloped apartment area. It is necessary to change the current housing policy directions to take changing population and household structure into consideration. Also, diversified housing strategies and programs should be prepared to consider various household types and their needs and demands. Place-based strategies for housing supply and development are needed in consideration of spatial patterns and locational attributes of two-person households. Attention needs to be paid to resolving the social issue of residential segregation between different generations.
Environmental problems such as global climate change, depletion, ocean and air pollution, and resource degradation-compounded by an expanding world population-respect no border and threaten the health, prosperity and jobs of all mankind. Our efforts to promote democracy, free trade, and stability in the world will fall short unless people have a livable environment. We have an enormous stake in the management of the world's resources. By increasing demand for timber, natural gas, coal and consumer's goods have destroyed the grounds for living. Greenhouse gas emissions anywhere in the world have threatened coastal communities, and then changed the Earth's climate system. The burning of coal, oil, and other fossil fuels is increasing substantially the concentration of heat-trapping gasses such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide in our air. The earth's temperature and sea levels are rising as a result. Since 1972 there has been a marked growth in the number and scope of environmental treaties. In particular, after the 1992 Rio Conference, international legal instruments became more concentrated on addressing environment within the context of sustainable development and incorporated a number of new concepts and innovative approaches. A preliminary analysis of recent conventions and in particular those associated with the Rio Conference indicates various ideas, concepts and principles which have come to the fore including sustainable development, equity, common concern of humankind, common but differentiated responsibilities and global partnership. However, international trade also has an environmental impact which must be minimized or countered. Positive measures are to be preferred to achieve environmental goals, but where trade provisions are necessary, they should be appropriately used within environmental conventions to facilitate the reduction and limitation of the negative impacts of trade and to enhance the complementarity of the multilateral trade regime with the imperatives of environmental protection, in the interests of environmental protection and sustainable development generally. The international community has to recognize and endorse this need to achieve complementarity between trade and environment issues.
Population growth and increasing consumption of resources in the process of the industrial development has caused environmental pollution, climate change, and resource exhaustion. Therefore 'sustainable development' has become the important issue for the future. The sustainable development aims at effective resource use, less environmental impacts, and higher social security. Generally the rural area including agricultural fields and forest has various and plentiful natural resources which could make future development sustainable. To develop potential rural resources, the values for energy, environment and economy should be assessed considering the life-cycle of resources. The purposes of this study are to suggest the E3 (Energy, Environment, and Economy) assessment model for rural biomass considering life-cycle of resource and to apply the model to rice, the major agricultural product. As the results of this study, it turned out through E3 assessment that economic gain of rice cultivation is 578,374 won/10a, carbon absorption is $1,530kgCO_2/10a$, carbon emission is $926.65kgCO_2/10a$, and bio-energy potential of by-product is 394,028 kcal/10a. When E3 assessment was applied to by province, the results varied by regions because of the amount of input during cultivation. These results would be useful to realize the rural biomass and design regional resources plan in integrated E3 perspective.
Because of the radical changes in the domestic and foreign economic circumstances Koreaa fisheries is confronted with difficulties. Along the end of the UR marine products of other nations are rushing into Korea. Also migration of labor to other industries and rise of wage level in Korean fisheries deteriorate managerial conditions. But in Korea which has little natural resourses fisheries is still more important. That is \circled1 creating job opportunites \circled2 increase of income \circled3 supply of foodstuffs and animal protein \circled4 acquisition of foreign currency \circled5 enlargement of domestic market for industrial products \circled6 development of other interrelated industries \circled7 rational use of domestic resourses \circled8 diversification of population and production activites \circled9 contribution to balanced growth of national economy by the developing regional economy. These roles of fisheries in national economy mentioned above are to be excuted forward. In spite of the radical change in the economic circumstances at the end of the UR fisheries if crucial in Korea as a industry. For this our fisheries is to be made to compete with foreign fisheries. Through the cheap price and high quality our fisheries must be came to compete with foreign fisheries and meet the people's needs for marine products. For this it is necessary to maintain high productivity and competitive power. Now with the exception of a portion of the deep - sea fishing, our fisheries is generally paltry, Especially inshore fishery which is the main stock in our fisheries is very paltry and so productivity and competetive power are very low. So to develop our fisheries which has s comparative disadvantage active polices that follows below are to be promoted on a large scale. \circled1 improvement of structure \circled2 augmentation of productivity in fishing ground by making fisheries resourses \circled3 enlargement of finantial and monetary assistance \circled4 effective administration of fisheries cooperative union \circled5 activation of R&D etc These polices which need to be scientific and comprehensive are very valuable. Especially without making fishieries resources we cannot expect economy of scale, promotion of productivity and development of fisheries. And we do also endeavour to gather the results of the study and investigation about fisheries domestic and foreign and do ceaselessly put these to practical use systimatically.
To build a suitable National Health Care System for the coming 21s1 century, Nursing must also be renewed. The future Korea will be united and the majority of its population will raidly consist of the aged. Economically standing on the same level with developed countries the growth of scientific technologies will foster communications, firing astounding changes in the medical field. While the overall life style pattern of Koereans not to mention the structure of diseases undergo change, the possibility that the reckless induction of high-tech health care may only cause medical fees to eascafate. It can전so be expected that the health care system will evolve towards the consumers. Nursing in the 21s1 century will be of two scenarios according to WHO, which presents the role of the nurse. The first scenario is that "a gen-eric health care work force" namely a "care giver" will replace all other health professions. If Nursing does not become the compatent profession fitting to this purpose it will eventually dei out. The second scenario is that nurses who are educated in a well grounded and extensive general background and have command of a specialized area will undertake services varying from health pro-motion to treatment and rehabilitation both direct and indirectly, while supervising other personnel. The nurse here would become the "care giver". To become the necessary health care profession in the 21s1 century, nurses should be provided with more educational opportunities, variating in its con-tents, course, and system, enabling them to grow. Clair Faign points out that the minimal educational entry for the nursing profession is a 4 year undergraduate education in this aspect, now in the time to set the future of Nursing into the course of the first scenario. A new educational system stipulating a baccalaureate nursing degree is in urgent need, and aside from govermental actions nurse themseives should formaily officiallze this process, striving for quality assurance. While considering 6 years nursing education programs, multifarious degree courses for existing 3 years educated nurse should be provided Junior nursing schools must devise measures to grow into baccalaucate institutions, also. Among the existing courses, the Self Study Degree Program should be converted into RN, BSN courese provided by universities, and clinical training for the University on the Air must be supplimented, The possibility of establishing nursing courses into commercial high school programs only jeopardizes the development of the nursing profession.
