강철보호를 위한 폴리아닐린 분산 코팅의 전기화학 및 부식특성 (Electrochemistry and Corrosion Characteristics of Polyaniline Dispersion Coating for Protection of Steels)

  • 폴리아닐린 분말과 고분자 계면활성제, cyclohexanone용매를 micro-milling장치내에서 분산시켜 (m입자 크기를 갖는 가공용이한 분산액을 제조하였다. 분산액을 백금 전극 위에 코팅하여 얻은 분산박막의 전기화학적 특성들은 순환전압전류법(CV)을 이용하여 조사하였다. CV의 결과에 의하면 폴리아닐린 분산박막이 순수한 폴리아닐린 박막과 유사한 전기화학적 특성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. $3wt.\%$ NaCl용액에서 수행한 분극실험과 열린회로전위 측정 실험에서는 PANI분산액을 철표면에 코팅하면 부식전위가 증가하였다. 분산박막/철 전극의 열린회로전위값(OCP, Voc)이 분산액의 제조 조건에 따라 변화가 있음을 관찰하였다. 이러한 결과들은 본 연구에서 사용한 전도성 고분자 분산액이 철의 부식방지코팅물질로서 유용성을 갖고 있다는 것을 보여주고 있다.

Electrorhelological Properties of Monodispersed Submicron-sized Hollow Polyaniline Adipate Suspension

  • The electrorheoloRical (ER) fluids are composed of a colloidal dispersion of polarizable particles in insulating oil, and it's the rheological property changes by the applied electric field. These changed are reversible and occur fast within a fewmilliseconds. The ER properties of the ER fluid such as increment of viscosity and yield stress come from the particle chain structure induced by electric fleld. When formulating the ER fluid for a speciflc application, some requirement must besatisfled, which are high yield stress under electric field, rapid response, and dispersion stability. While this characteristic makes valuable ER fluids in valious industrial applications, their lung term and quiescent application has been limited because ofproblems with particle sedimentation. In an effort to overcome sedimentation problem of ER fluids, the anhydrous ER materials of monodispersed hollow polyaniline (PANI) and adipate derivative respectively with submicron-sized suspension providing wide operating temperature range and other advantage were synthesized in a four-step procedure. The ER fluidswere characterized by FT-lR, TGA, DLS, SEM, and TEM. Stability of the suspensions was examined by an UV spectroscopy.The rheological and electrical properties of the suspension were investigated Couette-type rheometer with a high voltagegenerator, current density, and conductivity. And the behavior of ER suspensions was observed by a video camera attached toan optical microscope under 3kV/mm. The suspensions showed good ER properties, durability, and particle dispersion.

Micro-Chemical Structure of Polyaniline Synthesized by Self-Stabilized Dispersion Polymerization

  • A variety of NMR techniques were applied to the micro-chemical structural characterization of polyanilines prepared via an efficient synthetic method in a self-stabilized dispersion medium in which the polymerization was conducted in a heterogeneous organic/aqueous biphasic system without any stabilizers. Here, the monomer and growing polymer chain were shown to function simultaneously as a stabilizer, imparting compatibility for the dispersion of the organic phase, and as a form of flexible template in an aqueous reaction medium. Polymerizations predicated on this concept generated polyanilines with a low defect content: solution state $^{13}C-NMR$ and solid $^{13}CDD/CP/MAS$ spectroscopy indicated that the synthesized HCPANi and its soluble derivative, HCPANi-t-BOC, evidenced distinctly different NMR spectra with fewer side peaks, as compared to conventionally prepared PANis, and the complete structural assignments of the observed NMR peaks could be determined via the combination of both 1D and 2D techniques. Ortho-linked defects in HCPANi were estimated to be as low as 7%, as shown by a comparison of the integration of the carbonyl carbon resonance peaks.

Preparation and Properties of Waterborne-Polyurethane Coating Materials Containing Conductive Polyaniline

  • We have prepared an aqueous dispersion of poly(aniline-dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid complex) (PANI-DC) that has an intrinsic viscosity (〔η〕) near 1.3 dL/g using aniline as a monomer, dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid(DBSA) as a dopant/emulsifier, and ammonium peroxodisulfate(APS) as an oxidant. We found that the electrical conductivity of a PANI-DC pellet was 0.7 S/cm. A waterborne-polyurethane (WBPU) dispersion, obtained from isophorone diisocyanate/polytetramethylene oxide glycol/dimethylol propionic acid/ethylene diamine/triethylene amine, was used as a matrix polymer. We prepared blend films of WBPU/PANI-DC with variable weight ratios (from 99/1 to 66/34) by solution blending/casting and investigated the effects that the PANI-DC content has on the mechanical and dynamic mechanical properties, hardness, electrical conductivity, and antistaticity of these films. The tensile strength, percentage of elongation, and hardness of WBPU/PANI-DC blend films all decreased markedly upon increasing the PANI-DC content. The antistatic half-life time ($\tau$$\sub$$\frac{1}{2}$/) of pure WBPU film was about 110 s, but we found that those of WBPU/ultrasound-treated PANI-DC blend films decreased exponentially from 1.2 s to 0.1 s to almost 0 s upon increasing the PANI-DC content from 1 wt% to 15 wt% to > 15 wt%, respectively.

Surface Coating and Electrochemical Properties of LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 Polyaniline Composites as an Electrode for Li-ion Batteries

  • A new cathode material based on Li$Ni_{0.8}Co_{0.15}Al_{0.05}O_2$ (LNCA)/polyaniline (Pani) composite was prepared by in situ self-stabilized dispersion polymerization in the presence of LNCA. The materials were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Electrochemical properties including galvanostatic charge-discharge ability, cyclic voltammetry (CV), capacity, cycling performance, and AC impedance were measured. The synthesized LNCA/Pani had a similar particle size to LNCA and exhibited good electrochemical properties at a high C rate. Pani (the emeraldine salt form) interacts with metal-oxide particles to generate good connectivity. This material shows good reversibility for Li insertion in discharge cycles when used as the electrode of lithium ion batteries. Therefore, the Pani coating is beneficial for stabilizing the structure and reducing the resistance of the LNCA. In particular, the LNCA/Pani material has advantageous electrochemical properties.

PANI 첨가 PU/MWNT 필름의 정전방전특성 (Analysis on ESD Properties of the PANI added PU/MWNT Films)

  • This paper surveys the ESD characteristics of the PANI added PU/MWNT film according to the manufacturing conditions such as variation of the loading contents of PANI and the mixture ratio of 2 dispersion solutions. For this purpose, PANI added PU/MWNT ground films were made with IPA/MWNT 3wt% dispersion solution and PANI/DMF dispersion solutions(5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30wt% contents of the PANI) by the mixture ratio of dispersion solution(10/50, 20/40, 30/30, 40/20, and 50/10part) in the PU (972DF) 100g, which was treated with 500rpm for 30min in the stirrer with condition of the dry temperature $120^{\circ}C$ for 2min. Totally, 36 kinds of PANI added PU/MWNT film specimens were prepared. The physical properties of the PANI added PU/MWNT films such as electrical resistivity, absorbancy by UV-Vis spectrometer, and triboelectricity were measured and discussed with surface characteristics of the PANI added PU/MWNT films by SEM. The dispersion property of PANI to the DMF showed best dispersion at the 25% of PANI content. The surface electrical resistivity of the PANI added PU/MWNT films was decreased with increasing the weight content of PANI/DMF dispersion solution, and it showed the lowest value $10^6{\Omega}$ at the mixing condition of PANI/DMF 20part and MWNT/IPA 40part with 30% PANI. Furthermore, it was shown that the electrical and physical properties of the PANI added PU/MWNT film such as electrical resistivity, and triboelectricity were better than those of PU/MWNT film prepared with no PANI, which was result obtained in previous paper.

유화 중합법에 의한 유기 용매 가용형 폴리아닐린의 합성 및 그 특성 (Synthesis and Characteristics of Organic Soluble Polyaniline by Emulsion Polymerization)

  • 톨루엔, 자일렌 등 유기 용매에 녹는 에머랄딘 염 형태의 폴리아닐린-도데실벤젠술폰산 (PANI-DBSA) 이 한 단계 마이셀 유화 중합법에 의해 제조되었다. 유기 양성자산으로 DBSA가 사용되었으며, DBSA와 아닐린 단량체의 비율이 1.5:1의 중합 조건에서 용해도 및 전기적 특성이 가장 우수하였고, 이때 제조한 PANI-DBSA의 톨루엔에서 용해도는 8 wt% 정도이다. 이들은 유리 또는 플라스틱 필름 기판 위에 도포되어 필름 형상으로 얻어지며, 폴리우레탄 또는 폴리스티렌 등과도 쉽게 혼합되었다. 5 S/cm 이상의 전기 전도도와 500 nm 이하의 필름두께에서 70% 이상의 가시광선 투과도를 보이며, 필름의 표면상태가 수용액에서의 유화 중합법에 의해 제조되는 PANl-DBSA보다 매우 균일함을 AEM을 통해 관찰하였다. 반응생성물의 대부분은 톨루엔 용매에 용해되었지만 용해되지 않은 일부 PANI-DBSA은 50-400 nm크기의 입자로 유기 용매에 분산되어 있음이 확인되었고 이들 입자의 결정상태를 XRD를 통해 관찰하였다.

  • In aqueous phase, we directly prepared conducting and photoluminescent nano-structured particles by oxidation polymerization. Thiophene(PT) was initiated by $FeCl_{3}/H_{2}O_{2}$ (catalyst/oxidant) combination system. And, polydispersed core-shell poly(styrene/thiophene) and polyaniline(PANI)-coated multi core-shell polystyrene latex particles were successfully prepared by oxidative and radical polymerization. The resulting latex particles have fine improved luminescence and conductive efficiency and dispersion state due to the PT and PANI shell. Hyper functionalized nanoparticle would be expected to increase the processibility in various electrical and electro-optical fields.

수용성 폴리아닐린/탄소나노튜브 복합재료의 제조 및 물성분석 (Preparation and characterization of water-soluble polyaniline/carbon nanotube composites)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소나노튜브를 물상에서 균일하게 분산시키기 위하여 물에 녹으면서 분자 내에서 자체 도핑이 가능한 새로운 종류의 그래프트 공중합체(PSSA-g-PANI, poly(styrenesulfonic acid-graft-aniline))를 합성하였고, 그 분산 능력을 실험해 보았다. PANI 고분자는 벤조이드와 퀴노이드 구조가 반복되어 존재하는 판상구조로 탄소나노튜브와 같은 탄소나노 소재의 벽에 강하게 결합할 수 있고, 따라서 짧은 시간의 sonication 처리 만으로 나노튜브를 분산시킬 수 있었고 그 분산 용액의 장시간 안정성은 다른 상용화된 분산제보다 뛰어났다. 또한 PSSA-g-PANI 그래프트 고분자/탄소나노튜브 복합 필름은 대략 1.5-2.5 S/cm의 전도도를 기록하였다.
