Energy Level이 다른 분산염료를 이용한 Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)섬유의 염색성 (The Dyeing Properties of Poly(trimethylene terephthalate) by Disperse Dyes with Different Energy Level)

  • In order to investigate the dyeing property of poly trimethylene terephthalate(PTT) fabric, the dyeing of PTT fabric was carried at under condition of different dyeing temperature by using several disperse dyes with different energy level. Particularly, this study discussed the PTT dyeing thermodynamically. Used disperse dyes were selected based on the their chemical structure and energy level. The obtained results were as followings; The dye adsorption of S type disperse dye such as C. I. Disperse Blue 79 increased with increasing dyeing temperature. In a exhaustion rate of PTT fabric with disperse dyes, C. I. Disperse Blue 56 showed higher values than that of C. I. Disperse Orange 29 and Blue 79. For the interpretation of thermodynamic dyeing behavior, the partition coefficient ( K ) and some several thermodynamic parameters such as standard affinity$(-\mu^\circ)$ and heat of dyeing$(\Delta{H}^\circ)$ calculated from the adsorption isotherm. From above results, as the energy level of disperse dye is small, the partition coefficient and standard affinity increased. But the heat of dyeing of PTT fabric with disperse dye showed high negative value in order of E type(C. I. Disperse Blue 56), SE type(C. I. Disperse Orange 29) and S type(C. I. Disperse 79).

  • 본 연구에서는 초임계이산화탄소 분위기 하에서 고분자섬유인 PTT(poly(trimethylene terephthalate))와 PET(poly(ethylene terephthalate))에의 분산염료 C. I. Disperse Yellow 54의 평형수착량을 온도와 압력, 그리고 시간에 따라 측정하였다. PTT와 PET 모두 온도와 압력이 증가함에 따라 염료의 수착량이 증가하였으나, 압력에 따른 수착량의 증가속도는 감소하였다. 또한 PTT가 PET보다 훨씬 더 큰 염료의 수착량을 나타냈으나, PTT와 PET 모두 같은 온도와 압력에서의 수착량의 증가속도는 시간이 지남에 따라 감소하였다.

  • Dyeing properties of a series of 4-amino-4'-fluorosulfonylazobenzene disperse dyes on poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) were investigated. Build-up properties and color properties on PET were examined. In particular, the 4-aminoazobenzene dyes containing a nitro group instead of a fluorosulfonyl group at 4'-position were also synthesized in order to compare their dyeing properties on PET with that of 4'-fluorosulfonyl analogues.

  • The dyeability of poly(lactic acid) [PLA] with a range of commercial disperse dye was examined and compared to that of poly(ethylene terephthalate) [PET] in addition to the colour and fastness of the resultant dyeings. A screening exercise in which twenty dyes of differing energy types and chemical classes were applied to PLA revealed a substantial variation between the dyes in terms of dye uptake (12-88 % at 4 % o.w.f.). Nine dyes exhausted above 70 % and were selected for further study, which involved comparison of shade and fastness of PLA dyeings with those of the corresponding PET dyeings. Differences in shade depended on hue while wet fastness of each of the PLA dyeings was either the same or 0.5-1.0 point lower than its PET counterpart. In all but one case, dye photostability in PLA was found to be very similar to that in PET. Dye build-up profiles on PLA were also investigated and from these results mixtures of compatible dyes identified.

  • 초임계이산화탄소 분위기 하에서 C. I. Disperse Yellow 54 분산염료의 수착량을 압력, 온도 및 시간에 따라 측정하여 고분자 섬유인 PTT (poly(trimethylene terephthalate))와 PET (poly(ethylene terephthalate)) 내에서의 염료의 확산속도를 계산하였다. 고분자 섬유 내에서의 염료의 확산계수(diffusivity)는 $10^{-12}\;cm^2/sec$의 매우 작은 값을 가지며, 일정 압력에서 온도가 증가함에 따라, 그리고 일정 온도에서 압력이 증가함에 따라 그 값이 증가하였다. 또한 PTT 내에서의 확산계수는 PET 내에서의 확산계수의 $1.5{\sim}3$ 배 정도로 더 높았다. 섬유가 매우 가늘므로 섬유 내에서의 농도는 거의 균일하였다.

  • The diffusion coefficient of C.I. Disperse Red 4 in the dyeing of carrier-pretreated poly (ethylene terephthalate) film was Investigated by Sekido's film-rolled method. From the result it was shown that the diffusion coefficient increases exponentially with the content-ration of carrier in the film, and, for the films containing same concentration of carrier, the carrier effect was enhanced with the molar volume of the carriers. The greater carrier effect was accompanied by the decrease in diffusion activation energy and entropy, which shows that the carrier with larger molar volume plasticizes PET film to more extent.

  • To interpret the dyeing behavior of PTT fiber with C. I. Disperse Violet 1, the thermodynamic Parameters of dyeing, such as standard affinity, heat of dyeing(enthalpy change), entropy change, diffusion coefficient, and activation energy of diffusion, were obtained from isotherms and dyeing rates at various temperatures and compared with those of PET fiber. The heat of dyeing(enthalpy change) and the entropy change of PTT fiber showed smaller negative values than those of PET fiber. This means that the dye molecules in the PTT fiber are combined more loosely than in the PET fiber and that is due to the flexibility of polymer chains of PTT fiber. The diffusion coefficients of C. I. Disperse Violet 1 into the PTT fiber were larger than those for PET fiber, and the activation energy of diffusion on PTT fiber was smaller than that on PET fiber.

  • Poly(ethylene-co-vinylacetate) (EVA) microspheres were prepared by thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) in toluene. The microsphere formation occurred by the nucleation and growth mechanism in metastable region. The effects of the concentration and component of the polymer and cooling rate on microsphere formation were investigated. The microsphere formation and growth were followed by the cloud point of the optical microscope measurement. The microsphere size distribution, which was obtained by particle size analyzer, became broader when the polymer concentration was higher, the content of vinyl acetate in EVA copolymer was higher, the cooling rate of EVA copolymer solution were lower. The content of disperse dye in EVA microsphere was obtained by TGA thermal analysis, the dye content of EVA15 and EVA18 were 3.5 and 2.0 wt% respectively.

  • The dyeing of poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT)/silk mixture fabrics can be accomplished by a two bath dyeing method with separate application of the disperse dyes on the PTT, reduction cleaning of the stained silk and then dyeing the silk with the acid dyes, or by one bath dyeing method with mixed dye ranges, possibly followed by a cleaning treatment. The two bath dyeing method has the advantage of better results with respect to dry cleaning fastness properties thanks to the possibility of an intermediate reduction clear. On the other hand, as compared with the two bath dyeing method, one bath dyeing method with a mixed dye range permits rapid and more reproducible dyeing, without the risk of great difference with respect to the shade of the strike on both substrates as well as savings of time, energy and water usage. This study was carried out to investigate dyeing characteristics of PTT/silk mixture fabrics with disperse dyes/acid dyes by one bath dyeing method in comparison with two bath dyeing method in the interests for rationalization of the dyeing process.

분산염료에 의한 폴리에스터 Bulky Yarn의 염색거동 (The Dyeing Behavior of PET Bulky Yarn with Disperse Dyes)

  • The dyeing behaviors of poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET) bulky yarns, DTY(draw textured yarn) and SSY(latent crimped yarn), were investigated with different energy type disperse dyes compared with those of SDY(spin draw yarn). The maximum exhaustions of E-type disperse Red 60, Blue 56 and Yellow 54 on SSY were 99%, 94% and 93%, respectively. The maximum exhaustions of S-type disperse Red 179, Blue 79 and Orange 30 on SSY were 96%, 97% and 97%, respectively. The K/S values of SSY were significantly higher than those of DTY and SDY in all energy type of disperse dyes. The knit fabric composed of SSY became bulky at the end of high temperature dyeing process because of their thermal shrinkage property due to melt viscosity difference.
