모형 Gabion의 오염물질 포착률 (Model Gabion's Pollutant Accumulation Efficiency)

  • This study was performed for the research on the method for reducing non-point pollutant with the gabion which was made of gravel-packed plastic frame, and for the characterization of gabion adsorbing pollutant. The result showed that the concentrations of suspended solid in turbid water were reduced to $77.7{\sim}84.7%$ when the water was flowing through the gabion. The uniformity coefficients on the grain size accumulation curves of the adsorbed pollutant were larger on the large grain size gabion than those on the small grain size gabion, and the coefficients of curvature were smaller on the large grain size gabion than those of the small grain size gabion. The adsorption rates were dependent on the grain size of packed gravel. The rates were smaller on inlet and outlet than those on middle place on the series of gabion.

항공기 엔진에 의한 대기오염 (Air Pollution by Airplane Engines)

  • Air pollutant emissions from airplane engines are estimated about 2 to 4 % of mobile source of USA and European countries which is not a large portion of current air pollution. But the passengers and airfreights are continuously increasing 5 to 7% annually and potential demands of air transportation services come to present, it could effect air pollutant emissions of USA will increase within 15 years. In case of our country, there has been continuous increase of air transportation service due to considerable economic growth in recent years and increase of air pollutant emissions of major international airports has followed. Rapid increase of air transportation due to launching of Inchon International Airport could effect air pollution dominantly. By this circumstance environmental specialist as well as mass communication raised necessity of air pollutant emission regulation from airplane engines. It is estimated that air pollutant emissions from airplane engines in our country is 2.7% of automobile sources, 10,809 ton, which is the same level as USA and European countries. It is increased by 12,2% compared to air pollutant emissions during 1996 and it will be increased more than a half of current air pollutant emission within 15 years due to our country's economic condition. Therefore implementation of airplane engine emissions regulation as well as test standards and accumulation of technology about characteristics of airplane engine emission and reduction method are needed. And continuous estimation of air pollutant emission from airplane engines and monitoring of increment as well as development of countermeasures by long term are necessary.

영일만 유입오염부하량과 수질의 시ㆍ공간적 변동특성(I) - 하천유량과 유입오염부하량의 계절변동 - (Spatial and Temporal Variation Characteristics between Water Quality and Pollutant Loads of Yeong-il Bau(I) - Seasonal Variation of River Discharge and Inflowing Pollutant Loads -)

  • This study investigates the seasonal variation and spatial distribution characteristics of pollutant load, as executing the quality valuation of pollutant load inflowing into Yeong-il Bay from on-land including the Hyeong-san River. Annual total pollutant generating rate from Yeong-il Bay region are 202ton-BOD/day, 620ton-SS/day, 42ton-TN/day, and 16ton-TP/day, respectively. Particularly, the generating ration of the pollutant loads from the Hyeong-san River is greater than that of any other watershed of the Yeong-il Bay, of which BOd is about 78.2%, SS 88.5%, T-N 62.5%, T-P 73.1%, As calculating Tank model with input value of daily precipitation and evaporation of 2001 year in drainage basin of the Hyeong-san River, the estimated result of the annual river discharge effluence from this river is 830106㎥, As a result to estimating annual effluence rate outflowing at the rivers from each drainage basin. annual inflow pollutant rates are 10,633ton-BOD/year, 19,302ton-SS/year, 15,369ton-TN/year, 305ton-TP/year, respectively. The population congestion region of the Pohang-city is a greater source of pollutant loads than the Neang-Chun region with wide drainage area. Therefore, the quantity of TN inflowing into Yeong-il Bay is much more than T-P. The accumulation of pollutant load effluenced from on-land will happen at the inner coast region of Yeon-il Bay. Finally, We would make a prediction that the water quality will take a bad turn.

The III basin which is population congestion region of the Pohang-city drain away a good many pollutant load than the V basin including the Neang-Chun with wide drainage area. Especially, a great many T-N than T-P inflow into Yeong-Il bay. The accumulation of pollutant load effluenced from on-land will happen on at the inner coast region of Yeong-Il bay, finally we would make a prediction that the water quality will take a bad turn.

Analysis of pollutant build-up model applied to various urban landuse

  • This study was conducted to analyse the application of pollutant build-up model on various urban landuses and to characterize pollutant build-up on urban areas as a source of stormwater runoff pollution. The monitored data from impervious surfaces in urban areas such as commercial (8 sites), industrial (10 sites), road (8 sites), residential (10 sites), recreational (5 sites) from 2008 to 2016 were used for the analysis of pollutant build-up model. Based on the results, the average runoff coefficients vary from 0.35 to 0.61. In all landuses except recreational landuse, the runoff coefficient is 0.5 or more, which is the highest in the commercial area. Commercial landuse where pollutants occur at the highest EMC in all landuse, and it is considered that NPS management is necessary compared with other landuses. The maximum build-up load for organic matter (BOD) was highest in the commercial area ($4.59g/m^2$), and for particular matter (TSS) in the road area ($5.90g/m^2$) while for nutrient (TN and TP) in the residential area ($0.40g/m^2$, $0.14g/m^2$). The rate constants ranged from 0.1 to 1.3 1/day depending on landuse and pollutant parameters, which means that pollutant accumulation occurs between 1 and 10 days during dry day. It is clear that these build-up curves can generally be classified based on landuse. Antecedent dry day (ADD) is a suitable and reasonable variable for developing pollutant build-up functions. The pollutant build-up curves for different landuse shows that these build-up curves can be generally categorized based on landuse.

친환경 리조트 개발사업을 위한 비점오염원관리: 비점저감시설을 통한 오염물질 삭감량 산정 (NPS Control in Environment-kindly Resort Development: Determination of NPS Loading Rates by BMPs)

  • 환경부에서 국내 4대강에 도입한 수질오염총량관리제는 점오염원뿐만 아니라 비점오염원의 관리를 통해 주요 상수원수인 4대강의 수질을 개선하고자 함이다. 비점오염원의 주요 근원은 토지이용이며, 개발사업은 토지이용의 변화를 의미하고 비점오염물질의 유출 증가를 의미한다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 국내에서 유일하게 수질 오염총량관리제가 도입되어 개발할당량이 주어져 있는 한강수계의 리조트 개발사업에서 개발계획에 따른 토지이용의 변화와 더불어 유출이 증가하는 비점오염물질의 양을 산정함으로써 효율적인 비점오염원 관리방안을 수립하고자 한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 개발사업 전후의 토지이용에 따른 비점오염물질의 발생 및 배출부하량 변화를 산정하였으며, 이를 근거로 비점오염물질 유출 관리가 요구되는 토지이용을 선정하였다. 또한 그 결과를 이용하여 적정 비점오염물질 관리방안(최적관리방안)을 수립하고자한다.

격자기반의 지형 및 지리정보자료와 GIS분석기법을 이용한 유역의 유출량 및 오염부하량 추정 (Estimation of Flows and Pollutant Loads from GIS Analysis using Cell-based Geospatial and Georgraphic Information Data)

  • 본 연구는 하천 유역에 대한 수문분석의 대표적인 요소인 유출량과 오염부하량을 추정하는데 있어서 기존의 수문학적 모델링 방법과는 달리 GIS분석기법을 적용하였다. 분석을 위한 기본 자료로는 토양도, 토지이용도, 수계도, 강수량 등의 유역형태 및 기상학적 특성을 정량화한 지리정보자료와 수치표고모형과 같은 지형 자료를 이용하였다. 토양, 토지 이용 인자에 대한 기준값으로는 미국토양보존국(SCS)에서 제시하고 있는 토양 분류 기준 및 유출곡선지수(CN)와 환경부에서 제시하고 있는 토양의 기대평균농도(EMC)를 적용하였다. 고흥군 고읍천 유역의 2010년 7월~8윌의 9개 강우사상에 대하여 유출량 및 오염부하량의 추정값과 실측값을 비교한 결과, 유출량은 평균 3.86%의 차이를 갖으며, 오염부하량은 평균 5.67%의 차이를 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 각 강우사상별 분석결과 추정 유출량은 강우량이 적을수록 그 오차가 매우 커지며, 추정 오염부하량은 강우량 및 계절의 변화에 따라 오차량에 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 우리나라의 토양 및 토지이용에 적합한 배수 분류기준과 지역별 특성을 고려한 기대평균농도가 제시된다면 보다 정확한 유출량 및 오염부하량의 추정이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

잔류성 유기오염물질의 전 지구적 거동: 다매체 환경모델의 결과해석 및 개선방안 (Global Fate of Persistent Organic Pollutants: Multimedia Environmental Modelling and Model Improvement)

  • 본 연구에서는 다매체 환경모델인 Globe-POP(persistent organic pollutant)을 이용하여, 1930년대부터 대기 중으로 배출된 polychlorinated biphenyl(PCB)의 전 지구적 환경거동에 대해서 살펴보고, 다매체 환경모델의 보완사항을 논의하였다. 각 환경매체의 PCB 축적은 대기 중으로의 배출패턴에 직접적인 영향을 받는 것이 확인되었으며, 이 외에도 환경매체의 면적, 분배계수, 분해율 등에 따라서 결정되었다. 지난 70년 동안 각 기후대의 배출량 분포는 일정하게 유지되었으나, 고위도 환경매체로의 축적량이 시간에 따라 증가하는 저온응축 현상을 확인하였다. 북반구 온대지역은 PCB 배출량과 환경매체로의 축적량에 있어서 가장 중요한 지역으로 평가되었으며, 대부분의 PCB는 토양과 해양으로 축적되는 것으로 예측되었다. 한편, 남극에는 중요한 오염원이 없음에도 불구하고, 매우 낮은 온도로 인해 전 지구적인 오염원 위치와는 크게 상관없이 POPs가 축적되는 것으로 추정되었다. 남극을 포함한 극지와 계절적 강설이 있는 북반구 고위도 지역의 POPs 거동을 신뢰성 있게 파악하기 위하여, 설빙을 포함한 water balance의 작성을 제안하였다. 이와 같이 개선된 다매체 환경모델은 미래의 기후변화에 따른 전 지구적 POPs 거동을 예측하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

오수처리용 인공습지내 토양의 이화학적 특성조사 (A Study on the Physical and Chemical Characteristics of the Constructed Wetland Soil for Sewage Treatment)

  • The soil from constructed wetland system for sewage treatment was analyzed to examine physical and chemical characteristics. Clogging and lowered permeability were the physical matters of concern, and nutrient and salt accumulation were the chemical matters of concern. However, the soil properties of the constructed wetland system after 3 year operation demonstrated no degradation and still the soil works almost same as the initial stage. Encouragingly, no sludge accumulation was observed inside the system. Therefore, it implies that the wetland sewage treatment system can work continuously as long as it is operated and managed properly not to cause excessive pollutant loading.

  • As the air pollution caused by diesel vehicles goes worse, so non-road vehicles exhaust gas standards are more strict in an foreign countries. There is growing evidence that diesel vehicles could play the important role in determining health effects. Most of the particle number emitted by diesel engines is in the nanopaticle range, D$\_$p/ < 50nm, while most of the mass is in the accumulation mode, 50nm < D$\_$p/ < 1000nm range. The aim of this work was to investigate pollutants in the exhaust of railroad diesel rolling stock under load tests.
