NbC 코팅된 도가니를 사용한 고품질의 SiC 단결정 성장 (High quality SiC single crystal growth by using NbC-coated crucible)

  • 본 연구에서는 NbC 코팅된 도가니가 SiC 단결정 품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 실험은 흑연 도가니와 NbC 코팅된 도가니를 사용하였으며, 두 실험의 결과를 체계적으로 비교 분석하였다. SiC 결정 성장은 Ar 분위기에서 2300℃ 이상의 온도와 5 Torr의 압력조건에서 PVT 법을 사용하여 진행하였다. 성장된 SiC 결정은 양면 그라인딩과 연마 가공 후 Raman 분석을 통해 결정상 분석, HR-XRD 분석으로 결정성을 분석하였다. 또한 KOH 에칭 후 광학현미경 분석과 SIMS 분석으로 결함 밀도 및 불순물 농도를 분석하여 두 웨이퍼의 품질을 비교하였다.

  • Dental ceramics have good aesthetics, biocompatibility, low thermal conductivity, abrasion resistance, and color stability. However poor resistance to fracture and shrinkage during firing process have been limiting factors in their use, particularly in multiunit ceramic restorations. A new method for making all-ceramic crowns that have high strength and low processing shrinkage has been developed and is referred to as the Vita In-Ceram method. This study was performed to investigate the effect of $CeO_2$ addition in borosilicate glasses on the strength of alumina-glass composites. Porous alumina compacts were prepared by slip casting and sintered at $1,100^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours. Dense composites were made by infiltration of molten glass into partially sintered alumina at $1,140^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours. Specimens were polished sequentially from #800 to #2000 diamond disk. and the final surface finishing on the tensile side was received an additional polishing sequence through $1{\mu}m$ diamond paste. Biaxial flexure test was conducted by using ball-on-three-ball method at a crosshead speed of 0.5mm/min. To examine the microstructural aspect of crack propagation in the alumina-glass composites, Vickers-produced indentation crack was made on the tensile surface at a load of 98.0 N and dwell time of 15 sec, and the radial crack patterns were examined by an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The porosity rates of partially sintered alumina decreased with the rising of firing temperature. 2. The maximum biaxial flexure strength of 423.5MPa in alumina-glass composites was obtained with an addition of 3 mol% $CeO_2$ in glass composition and strength values showed the aspect of decrease with the increase of $CeO_2$ content. 3 The biaxial flexure strength values of alumina-glass composites were decreased with rising the firing temperature. 4. Observation of the fracture surfaces of alumina-glass composites indicated that the enhancement of strength in alumina-glass composites was due to the frictional or geometrical inter-locking of rough fracture surfaces and ligamentary bridging by intact islands of materials left behind the fracture front.

  • The properties of $2^{nd}$ generation high temperature superconducting wire, coated conductor strongly depend on the quality of superconducting oxide layer and property of metal substrate is one of the most important factors affecting the quality of coated conductor. Good mechanical and chemical stability at high temperature are required to maintain the initial integrity during the various process steps required to deposit several layers consisting coated conductor. And substrate need to be nonmagnetic to reduce magnetization loss for ac application. Hastelloy and stainless steel are the most suitable alloys for metal substrate. One of the obstacles in using stainless steel as substrate for coated conductor is its difficulties in making smooth surface inevitable for depositing good IBAD layer. Conventional method involves several steps such as electro polishing, deposition of $Al_2O_3$ and $Y_2O_3$ before IBAD process. Chemical solution deposition method can simplify those steps into one step process having uniformity in large area. In this research, we tried to improve the surface roughness of stainless steel(SUS310). The precursor coating solution was synthesized by using yttrium complex. The viscosity of coating solution and heat treatment condition were optimized for smooth surface. A smooth amorphous $Y_2O_3$ thin film suitable for IBAD process was coated on SUS310 tape. The surface roughness was improved from 40nm to 1.8 nm by 4 coatings. The IBAD-MgO layer deposited on prepared substrate showed good in plane alignment(${\Delta}{\phi}$) of $6.2^{\circ}$.

쌀 가공식품 제조용 소재로서의 도정 부산물 활용 방안 (I) - 흑미 미강 색소 분획의 쌀 배아 산패 억제 효과 - (Application of Rice Polishing By-products to Processed Rice Food (I) - Antioxidative Effect of Black Rice Bran Pigment Fraction on Rice Embryo Lipid Oxidation -)

  • 본 연구는 쌀 배아의 활용을 위한 기초 연구로 배아의 성분 특성을 분석하였으며, 산패되기 쉬운 배아의 저장성을 증진시키는 방편으로 흑미 미강 색소 추출물을 1%와 5%로 첨가하여 색소 안정성과 배아 산패에 대한 항산화 효과를 검정하였다. 배아는 미강에 비해 필수아미노산의 함량이 골고루 많이 분포되어 있어 주요한 아미노산 공급원으로 사용될 수 있는 반면, 지질의 함량이 높아 저장 중 유지의 변패가 우려되었다. 흑미찹쌀 미강 색소 추출물은 $4^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 산성상태를 유지할 경우, 9일간의 저장 후에도 비교적 안정한 것으로 나타났다. 배아는 저장 기간이 길어질수록, 저장 온도가 높을수록 산패의 기준이 되는 산가가 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 또한, 배아에 흑미 미강 색소 추출물을 첨가하였을 때, 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 배아의 산패가 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 흑미 미강 색소 추출물의 배아 유지 산패 저하 효과는 저장 기간이 길수록 더 효과적이었다. 따라서 배아를 이용한 건강 기능성 식품 제조 시에 흑미 미강 색소 추출물을 첨가하게 되면 저장에 따른 배아 유지의 산패를 저하시켜 저장성을 증진시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Examination of working environments was conducted to get more detailed data about harmful working environments and to make a contribution to more effective management. Study was carried out on 722 factories located in Taegu city and eight counties in Kyungpook Province, Korea, for a period of one year, from February 1 to December 30, 1986. The total number and proportion of workers exposed to harmful material was 37,697, 45.2% among 83,368 workers. The results according to exposed material were as follows: 1. In the case of noise, proportion of exceeding the 8-hour TLV was 59%, Included were nail-cutting in assembly metal manufacturing industry and weaving process in textile. 2. Dust in mill process of coal manufacturing industries exceeded the TLV of second class of dust at all parts and exceeded the TLV at 6% as a whole.: 3. The fields of industry lower than 70 lux of illumination were storage equipment of food, auto-winder of textile, painting of wood wares and coal mixing, and 44% of all cases was lower than standard. 4. As a result of temperature index investigation(WBGT), about 12% of all sujects exceeded limit value. Included parts were rolling machine and reducing room. 5. In the case of organic solvents, TLV was exceeded at about 8%, The parts exceeded TLV according to materials belonged to this category were as follows. 1) Toluene: adhesive work in assembly metal manufacturing 2) Xylene: printing and paint mixing in chemical manufacturing 3) Methyl ethytl ketone: paint mixing in all parts examined and coating machine partially in chemical manufacturing 4) Methyl isobutyl ketone: printing in chemical manufacturing 5) Acetone: vapor polishing in assembly metal manufacturing 6. Among specified chemical materials, the concentration of HC1 in the air in metal assembly manufacturing factory exceeded TLV. in one of three assembly metal manufacturing examined. Others, such as benzene, acetic acid, formic acid, sodium hydroxide, formalin, ammonia, copper, chromate etc. were lower than TLV in its indoor atmospheric concentration. As a whole, the proportion of exceeding TLV was about 0.8% 7. The concentrations of inorganic lead were lower than TLV in all parts examined. The results of this investigation show the fact that current management of working environments is not satisfactory, and so more active management is needed.

Sn 및 Cu를 첨가한 치과 주조용 Co-Cr-Mo계 합금제조 및 용해과정 분석 (Manufactures of dental casting Co-Cr-Mo based alloys in addition to Sn, Cu and analysis of infrared thermal image for melting process of its alloys)

  • Purpose: Dental casting #Gr I (Co-25Cr-5Mo-3Sn-1Mn-1Si), #Gr II (Co-25Cr-5Mo-5Cu-1Mn -1Si) and #Gr III (Co-25Cr-5Mo-3Sn-5Cu-1Mn-1Si) master alloys of granule type were manufactured the same as manufacturing processes for dental casting Ni-Cr and Co-Cr-Mo based alloys of ingot type. These alloys were analyzed melting processes with heating time of high frequency induction centrifugal casting machine using infrared thermal image analyzer. Methods: These alloys were manufactured such as; alloy design, the first master alloy manufatured using vacuum arc casting machine, melting metal setting in crucible, melting in VIM, pouring in the mold of bar type, cutting the gate and runner bar and polishing. These alloys were put about 30g/charge in the ceramic crucible of high frequency induction centrifugal casting machine and heat, Infrared thermal image analyzer indicated alloys in the crucible were set and operated. Results: The melting temperatures of these alloys measuring infrared thermal image analyzer were decreased in comparison with remanium$^{(R)}$ GM 800+, vera PDI$^{TM}$, Biosil$^{(R)}$ f, WISIL$^{(R)}$ M type V, Ticonium 2000 alloys of ingot type and vera PDS$^{TM}$(Aabadent, USA), Regalloy alloys of shot type. Conclusion: Co-Cr-Mo based alloy in addition to Sn(#Gr I alloy) were decreased the melting temperature with heating time of high frequency induction centrifugal casting machine using infrared thermal image analyzer.

습식표면처리 및 열 사이클에 따른 Cu/SiNx 계면접착에너지 평가 및 분석 (Effects of Wet Chemical Treatment and Thermal Cycle Conditions on the Interfacial Adhesion Energy of Cu/SiNx thin Film Interfaces)

  • 반도체 미세구리배선 적용을 위하여 구리배선의 습식 표면처리 및 열 사이클에 따른 구리 박막과 실리콘질화막 도포층 사이의 계면접착에너지를 4점굽힘시험을 통해 정량적으로 평가하였다. 구리배선을 화학적 기계적 연마한 후 습식 표면처리를 통하여 구리 박막과 실리콘질화막의 계면접착에너지는 $10.57J/m^2$에서 $14.87J/m^2$로 증가하였다. $-45{\sim}175^{\circ}C$범위에서 250사이클 후, 표면처리를 하지 않은 시편의 계면접착에너지는 $5.64J/m^2$으로, 표면처리를 한 시편은 $7.34J/m^2$으로 감소하였으며, 모든 시편의 박리계면은 구리 박막과 실리콘질화막 계면으로 확인되었다. X-선 광전자 분광법으로 계면 결합 상태를 분석한 결과, 화학적 기계적 연마 공정 후 구리배선의 표면 산화물이 습식표면처리에 의해 효과적으로 제거된 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 열 사이클 처리동안, 구리 박막과 실리콘질화막의 큰 열 팽창 계수 차이로 인한 열응력으로 인하여 구리 박막과 실리콘질화막 계면이 취약해지고, 계면을 통한 산소유입에 따른 구리 산화층이 증가하여 계면접착에너지가 저하된 것으로 판단된다.

공용매가 첨가된 초임계유체 추출공정에서 기능성 지방산의 추출 (Isolation of Functional Fatty Acid in Cosolvent Induced SFE Process)

  • 국내에서 생산되는 현미겨는 약 8.4~14.7 wt %의 지질을 포함하고 있으나 지방산의 양이나 조성은 현미겨의 형태, 토질 상태, 도정과 같은 전처리나 정미도에 영향을 받는다. 현미겨에 포함되어 있는 지질은 보통 palmitic acid, linolenic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid, tocopherol, squalene 등과 같은 지방산으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 초임계유체를 이용하여 현미겨에서 squalene을 함유한 지방산을 추출하였으며, 각각의 공정에 ethanol을 첨가하여 초임계유체 추출을 시행하였다. 추출물은 GC-MSD로 분석을 하였고, 추출된 현미유의 양은 공정 온도, 압력에 따라 달랐으며, 조성은 초임계 이산화탄소의 환산밀도 (${\rho}_{\gamma}$ reduced density)에 영향을 받았다. 4시간의 공정시간에 약 70~80%의 현미유가 추출되었으며, ethanol을 첨가한 초임계유체 추출은 일반 초임계유체 추출에 비해 추출시간이 단축되며 동시에 추출량이 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 용매추출 공정에서 검출되지 않았던 squalene이 초임계유체 추출과 ethanol올 첨가한 초임계유체 추출에서 추출됨이 확인되었다.

치과용 아말감의 미세경도에 관한 실험적연구 (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE MICROHARDNESS OF DENTAL AMALGAMS)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the phases of four different types, low-copper lathe cut (Type II, class 1) and spherical (Type II, class 2) amalgam alloys which are made by Caulk company and high copper Dispersalloy (Type II, class 3) made by Johnson & Johnson and Tytin (Type I, class 2) made by S.S. White and to determine the Vickers hardness number on the individual phase and four different types of dental amalgam. After each amalgam alloy and Hg measured exactly by the balance was triturated by the mechanical amalgamator (De Trey), the triturated mass was inserted into the cylindrical metal mold which was 4 mm in diameter and 12mm in height and was pressed by the Instron Universal Testing machine (Model 1125) at the speed of 1mm/minute with 143$kg/cm^2$ according to the A.D.A. Specification No. 1. The Specimen removed from the mold, mounted and stored in the room temperature for 7 days. The speciman was polished with the emery paper from #220 to #1200 and finally on the polishing cloth with 0.3 and 0.05 um $Al_2O_3$ powder suspended in water. And then each specimen was etched by Allan's method and washed with Sodium Bisulfinite for 30 seconds. Finally differentiation and metallography on each phase were obtained by using metallographical microscope (Versamet, Union) and microhardness was obtained by using microhardness tester (MVH-2, Torsee). The results were as follows: 1. In the low-copper amalgam, the ${\gamma}$, ${\gamma}_1$ and ${\gamma}_2$ phase were observed and in the high-copper amalgam, the ${\gamma}$, ${\gamma}_1$. ${\epsilon}$ and ${\eta}$ phases were observed but ${\gamma}_2$ phase was not observed. 2. Among the microhardness of each amalgam phase measured under pressing a vickers diamond indenter with 2.0gm load for 30 seconds, e phase has the highest V.H.N (314 ${\pm}$ 20), and in low-copper amalgam 12 phase has the lowest V.H.N. (29${\pm}$1) and ${\eta}$ phase which was observed in high-copper amalgam has 230${\pm}$13 V.H.N and this phase is considerd to contribute to strengthen the handness in amalgam. 3. The V.H.N. measured under pressing a Vickers diamond indenter with 300.0gm load for 30 seconds in low-copper amalgam was lower than that of high-copper amalgam.

고체산화물 연료전지용 공기극재료로써의 LSM-YSZ 전극 연구 (Investigations of LSM-YSZ as Air Electrode Materials for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells)

  • 50/50 vol% LSM-YSZ의 복합공기극(LSM=$\textrm{La}_{1-x}\textrm{Sr}_{x}\textrm{MnO}_{3}$(0$\leq$x$\leq$0.5))이 콜로이드 증착법에 의해 준비으며 주사전자현미경과 임피던스 분석기에 의해 연구되어졌다. 재현성있는 임피던스 스펙트럼들이 LSM-YSZ/YSZ/LSM-YSZ로 구성된 향상된 셀을 사용함으로써 얻어졌다. 이러한 셀들의 임피던스 스펙트럼들은 작동온도에 강하게 영향을 받았으며, 가장 안정된 조건은 $900^{\circ}C$에서 도달되어졌다. $900^{\circ}C$에서 공기//공기 셀에 대해 측정된 전형적인 임피던스 스펙트럼들은 2개의 불완전한 호(depressed arc)로 구성되었다. LSM전극에 대한 YSZ의 첨가는 LSM-YSZ 공기극의 저항 감소를 가져왔으며, 전해질 표면의 불순물의 영향을 제거하기 위한 연마는 공기극 저항을 더욱 감소시켰다. 또한 촉매층(Ni 혹은 Sr)을 가진 LSM-YSZ 전극은 촉매층이 없는 경우에 비해 공기극 저항의 감소를 가져왔다. LSM-YSZ 공기극 저항은 전극조성, 전해질의 형태, 인가 전류에 의해 영향을 받았다.
