The purpose of this study is to identify attitudes of police science students toward police image by Q-Methodology. Q-Methodology provides a method of identifying the subjectivity of each item. A survey was carried out among 40 police science students to classify the 40 selected Q-statements into a normal distribution using a 11 point scale. The collected data was analyzed by QUANL program and principal component analysis was used to identify the types of police image. As a result of this study, the police image was classified into 3 types. Type 1 can be categorized by 'fantastic image', Type 2 can be classified by 'stressful image', and Type 3 can be categorized by 'charismatic image'. These results will be used to develop a programs for improving police science students' education and will be a basis for reforming police image.

The purpose of this study is to understand the types and features of subjectivity perceptions of the police by applying Q methodology that draw upon schematic model in subjectivity study. A survey was carried out among police officers in Gangwon province, South Korea, to classify the 61 selected Q-statements into a normal distribution using a 11 point scale. The collected data was analyzed using QUANL program, and principal component factor analysis using varimax rotation was used to identify the types of perceived image of the police. Type I can be categorized by a strong concern for the education & manpower management, Type II can be categorized by advocating for duty observance, Type III can be categorized by the pursuit of publicized police image and Type IV can be categorized by the suggestions for legal improvement. The use of Q methodology provides insights into the image of the police that would not be available through traditional methodologies and offers a foundation for essential efforts to address and overcome concerns about the image of the police.

The purpose of this research focuses mainly on the establishment of: the image of the police that can be adopted to meet the demands of reality through the development of the design of policewomen's uniform in the times that require reestablishment of the image of the police; the image of the police that is appropriate for the organic structure of the society; and the image of the police that cooperate with the citizens. For background research I have considered the police and their uniforms from a theoretical point of view and have examined the process by which Korean policewomen's uniforms have changed. Actual research was carried out policewomen of Seoul Regional Police Station, was conducted and the results were utilized to figure out what the problem was. This research suggests an improvement measure by making four suits of summer and spring-and-autumn work-uniforms, and six suits of spring-andautumn and winter full-dress uniform. First the colors of work-uniforms and full-dress uniforms are not blue, which incites a feeling of coldness and stiffness, but are colors that are feminine and emit warmth---red, ivory, khaki, black, and beige. second pure, natural fiber is difficult to wash and is not an appropriate material for policewomen's uniforms when considering its cost and etc., fabrics that are a mix of synthetic fiber and natural fiber were chosen. Because mixed fabrics are cheaper and their ability to maintain shape is superior to that of natural fiber, mixed fabric is an appropriate material for policewomen's uniforms. third the feminine image of policewomen was considered; therefore, masculine image, which is rigid and strong, was avoided and the image was expressed in a serene and beautiful way. Also slim line was added to the current uniforms to emphasize feminine beauty. The conclusion of this study is that police officers in the 21st century want to be seen as the citizens cane and benevolent volunteers that live together with the citizens, not as suppressive and powerful people.

Modern society has achieved rapid growth in economy and materials whereas it caused such problems as municipal extension and high density of population, Due to rapid change of social environment, it became more complicated and multifarious than ever it before. Helping the people all kinds of routine affairs police box is giving a negative image to the citizens, for its environment doesn't have got rid of its old fashion . It's being an unharmonious factor to its surroundings, a solution is needed. So, this study is focused on recognizing the change of value system with the flow of time, planning a new image of police box for the change and in consequence recovering the trustworthy between people and the nation. For this , by grasping the characteristics of each space and through space-dividing and design corresponding to it, the plan is provided to make a pleasant interior environment of police box and to make it a symbol of local society. As a result of this study, we will have the police box not only as an office providing the locals with security and service but also as eyes of the country which watches the municipal environment.

The concept of municipal police is in contrast to the national police, which is in charge of the overall people. With increased localization, the need for a municipal police system is emphasized in each region. This study is intended to analyze the role of municipal police uniform considering the change in security from the national to the local level based on the introduction of municipal police system. The study investigators developed the concept of centralized national police system and decentralized self-governing municipal police system based on a literature review and Internet research. The investigators analyzed the design of municipal police uniform by reviewing the systems in several other countries. The results revealed specific formative features of municipal police uniform such as representative ambivalence, expression of visual language, manifest visibility, and reflection of regional characteristics. The municipal police uniform is adapted to changes in local government requiring a shift of awareness on to municipal police compared with the existing national police. The creation of a municipal police uniform enhances the efficiency of work by projecting a resident-friendly image, social support and cooperation, which play a huge role in illustrating the exemplary service to promote a stable and peaceful society locally.

A mission of the police as described by law is to guard the life, body and property of all citizens. Such duties should be accurately performed based on legal and democratic procedures because the works of the police are directively influencing the overall lives of the citizens by restricting their freedom. The national police agency is setting up the figure of the police trusted and beloved by citizens. The strategies of police reform is to recognize the proposition of 'change the mind and you will see the bright future' and the historical mission of 'It is possible to survive only through the reform'. We are frequently watching the traffic police on the street or road. Traffic policing aims to reduce crime and the opportunities for criminal activity in relation to the use of roads, that is to improve road user behavior in order to reduce accidents. This study examines perceptions of drivers on the traffic police. For this purpose, this study surveys the opinion and view of drivers in Andong city based on the survey research and interview methods. The major findings of this study is as follows. Many drivers in Andong city evaluate negatively the kindness toward civilians, fair(rational) law enforcement of traffic police. So, this study suggests the improvement of the traffic police image.(for example, kindness toward civilians, service attitude, fair and rational law enforcement, etc)

Today, the police alone can not prevent a crime. And the police is limited to meet for people's the increased needs on public safety. So the police and the community needs the cooperation of a variety of resources. Police in cooperation with community resources to respond to the crime's most professional and the private sector is a private security. However, the role of private security for cooperation policing is insufficient in South Korea. So for this study to build a cooperative policing in South Korea as private security for the following four kinds of directions are presented. First, as a private security of the United States and Japan, specializes in diversified business sectors. Simple human-oriented private security of the building security get out. Instead, take the high-tech crime prevention or industry complex security should be changed to a professional organization. Second, the interaction between police and private security should be increased. Police and private security through regular meetings between the need for mutual interests and build consensus is needed. The role of private security companies to be represented on the Security Association of South Korea's active role in the matter. Third, efforts to improve the image of private security activities and the publiciy activity of private security is needed. Some of the private security in an effort to escape a negative image to the people and actively promote a positive image is necessary. Finally, for South Korea to the level the cooperation between the police and private security are required to develop system models. Front-line policing priority in the field and the mutual understanding between the police and private security in an effort to have a positive perception is needed. Equal partners, especially the police and private security to private security companies to have recognized experts in their own recruitment and training should be improved by strengthening the expertise.

MR arthrography is a useful modality for evaluating the labrocapsular ligamentous complex(LOLC) of the shoulder. This study was performed to describe normal anatomic variations and pitfalis in image interpretation related to evaluation of the LOLC. MR Arthrogram of 56 shoulders in 41 asymptomatic young, active volunteers were prospectively reviewed to evaluate the labral shapes. capsular insertions and images which may mimic the lesions of glenohumoral instability. The anterior and posterior parts of the labra. respectively. varied in shape: triangular$(72\%,\; 36\%)$. round $(13\%,\; 35\%)$. cleaved$(8\%,\; 1\%)$. notched$(2\%,\; 0\%)$. flat$(5\%,\; 24\%)$ and absent$(0\%,\; 4\%)$. The anterior and posterior capsular insertions. respectively. varied in sites: Mosely and Oevergaard type I$(82\%,\;62\%)$, type II$(13\%,\; 3\%)$ and type III $(5\%,\; 2\%)$. A number of pitfalls in image interpretation were discovered. Articular cartilage undercutting the labrum$(29\%)$ and middle glenohumoral ligament in proximity to anterior labrum $(5\%)$ simulated a labral tear. Joint fluid interposed in the central. superior portion of the sublabral sulci$(25\%)$ simulated a SLAP lesion. Synovial fold$(38\%)$ in axillary pouch resembled a loose body. Knowledge of normal variations and pitfalls in MR arthrogram image interpretation of labral capsular - ligamentous complex will help the orthopedist to accurately detect debilitating derangements associated with the glenohumeral instability.

Public uniforms play an important role in creating the color and image of urban environment beyond the level of simple working clothes for unity and practicality. Hence this study aims to compare and analyze the color characteristics and images of the police officer, fire fighter, and street cleaner uniforms at home and abroad to guarantee the wearer's safety, increase convenience and agreeability, and give emotional satisfaction to citizens in harmony with urban environment color as public uniforms. For study methods, literature review investigated urban environment, color, and uniforms as public design. Empirical study extracted color data from the public worker uniforms of the world's top 20 cities selected by 'Newsweek' in 2010 and analyzed their colors, tones, and color images. The results of this study are as follows. The most common color for police uniforms were PB(dk) as the main color, PB(p) as the sub color, and Wh as the accent color. For fire fighter uniforms, PB(dkg) was the most common main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and ItGy, as the accent color. The most common color for street cleaner uniforms was YR(v) as the main color; GY(v), as the sub color; and mGy, as the accent color. As a result of analyzing color images of these uniforms, it was found that police uniforms commonly used a modern image; fire fighter uniforms commonly used a natural image and a cool casual image; and street cleaner uniforms commonly used a casual image. As examined above, the color of public uniforms suitable for urban environment and job characteristics is very important to establish the image of public institutions, as well as to create an urban image.

The objective of this study is to present the academic implications and developmental direction of the police assigned for special guard system through big data analysis on the objective and macroscopic viewpoint of the media. As research method, this study conducted the analysis on 'police assigned for special guard' and the analysis of related words that would visualize the keywords highly related to keyword trend and news. Also, after dividing the period into the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, the number of relevant articles in each period was drawn for understanding the flow. In the results of this study, the perception of media report of police assigned for special guard was about the recruitment of police assigned for special guard, and relevant events/accidents, which showed the coexistence of positive interest in the recruitment of police assigned for special guard and negative image of events/accidents related to police assigned for special guard. As a result, however, the necessity and demand for police assigned for special guard are increasing. Thus, the police assigned for special guard should be engaged in work after carefully thinking of its role in charge of ethical responsibility and safety as an axis for maintaining the national safety and social order.
