Design and Implementation of Self-Directed Courseware to Study Web Programming (웹 프로그래밍 학습을 위한 자기주도적 코스웨어의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we design and implement a web-based courseware where learners can do self-directed learning to study Web programming languages such as Html, CSS, JavaScript and Dhtml. Each section consists of text class, movie class, practice class, formative assessment, laboratory and bulletin board. And our courseware makes teachers to teach, assess and give scores to learners on Web. In our Web courseware, learners can play a movie class and practice Web programming codes in one screen simultaneously, and execute codes and confirm a results in the same screen also. Therefore, learners can understand Web programming languages efficiently, which are hard to understand immediately by text.

Quality assessment of high performance concrete using digitized image elements

  • The quality of high performance concrete largely depends on water cement ratio, porosity, material composition and mix methods. The uniformity of color, texture and compressive strengths are quality indicators commonly used to assess the overall characteristics of concrete mixes. The homogeneity and share of coarse aggregates play a key role in concrete quality and must be analyzed in a microscopic point of view. This research studies the quality of high performance concrete by taking drilled cores in both horizontal and vertical directions from a 1.0 $m^3$ specimen. The coarse aggregate, expressed in digitized $100{\times}116$ dpi resolution images are processed based on brightness in colors through commercial software converted into text files. With the image converting to text format, the share of coarse aggregate is quantified leading to a satisfactory assessment of homogeneity - a quality index of high performance concrete. The compressive strengths of concrete and the shares of coarse aggregate of the samples are also compared in this research study to illustrate its correlation in concrete quality. It is concluded that a higher homogeneity of aggregate exists in the vertical plane than that of the horizontal planes of the high performance concrete. In addition, the concrete specimen showing denser particle packing has relatively higher compressive strengths. The research methodology provides an easy-to-use, direct measurement of high performance concrete when conducting quality assessment in the construction site.

  • Purpose - Stakeholders play a vital part in the company's CSR activities and they are part of the company's achievement and affect the company's achievement or business objectives. This study aims to add insight into the already existing knowledge how the organizational culture can promote corporate social welfare activities. Research design, Data, and methodology - The current authors obtained text data for the possible practical suggestions which might be used for the creation of coding method. That implies that the present author investigated only trustable textual sources to provide for the possible solutions such as peer-revied sources and published book. Result - Research results indicated that organizational culture promotes corporate social welfare activities by making people know their values and understand how they come about. Not every community knows what its members want and how to achieve its needs. Sometimes, a community can obtain the values and principles of an organization and incorporate them into community values. Conclusion - Executive leadership and customers are part of society. Any strategy that influences their operation and works ethic influences the contact of the community. This research found methods vital in setting up an excellent culture that enhances profitability and the corporate social welfare activities through motivation and communication.

  • In this paper, self-networking and replaceable structure in vector graphics contents are presented for wireless internet service. The wireless networks over 2G or 3G are limited in the sense of the speed and the cost. Considering these characteristics of wireless network, self-networking method and replaceable structure in downloaded contents are introduced in order to save the amount of data and provide variations for contents. During the display of contents, a certain data for the contents is downloaded from the server and it is managed appropriately for the operation of the contents. The downloaded materials are reflected to the original contents using replaceable structure. Also, the downloading and modification are independent of the play. In this implementation, the data consists of control data for control and resource data for image, sound or text. Comparing to the conventional methods which download the whole data, the amount of the transmitted data is very small since only the difference is downloaded. Also, during the play of the contents, the changes are adopted immediately. The whole functions are implemented in wireless handset and the various applications are discussed.

A Qualitative Study of Korean Kindergarten Children's Reading Stances and Responses in Two Contexts: Official Reading Tasks and Spontaneous Reading Activities (유치원 대집단 읽기 활동과 자유 놀이 시간에서의 이야기 책에 대한 접근 관점과 그 반응에 대한 질적 연구)

  • This qualitative study explores the development of young Korean children's reading stances and responses to children's books and discusses their literacy development in relation to school reading experiences. Rosenblatt's theory (1978) of aesthetic and efferent stances is used to characterize the relationship between the reader and the text. A teacher's reading stances in the official school world are analyzed and their relationships to children's stances and responses are discussed. The teacher's efferent stance encouraged her children's responses to he efferent as well. It also influenced children's assumptions and expectations about the teacher's reading activities, so that the children came to view these activities only as ways of obtaining factual knowledge and practicing literacy skills. The children's own interests and intentions during free play time are described in order to understand children's reading stances in the unofficial school world. The children showed various types of stances during free play time even though they were encouraged to take only one type of stance, i.e., an efferent stance, in the official school world. The findings are discussed In terms of their implications for classroom practice and literacy research.

  • The composition of the 'The Game Story' should reflect the game play and development environment. To do that, I borrowed a coordinate format called 'Spatio-temporal Coordinate Array' that was not based on text-based storytelling. I wanted to create a way for the story to describe relationship between 'action' based on time and 'object' based on space. One way to do this was to analyze the concepts using a mystery game in which Spatio-temporal Array is a large role in user's decision-making. As a result, I found that the method -Spatio-temporal coordinates- was an editor containing game play, and a setting tool capable of being used as a conceptual diagram.

  • Comedy has been popular since ancient Greece. In order to visualize comedy more effectively, the actor's acting acts as an important factor. Then active discussion is needed on how actors can actually shape their comedic performance. I would like to approach comedic acting methods, focusing on the character of Kim Seo-young in the play . This researcher played the character of Kim Mi-young, and the characteristics of comedic acting include exaggeration, repetition, fast tempo, changing tone, and exaggerated physical behavior. Comedic acting comes from a dissonance of reactions. This is because unexpected reactions to stimuli can cause audience laughter. Comedic acting is also important in exaggeration and repetition, which must be based on true acting. The fast tempo of the act and the changing tone of the words also affect comedic acting expressions, and the embodiments of 'slapstick' and 'group dance', which are characteristics of farce acting, play an important role in causing audience laughter. In order for these characteristic elements to show comic effects, the actor's true acting must be the basis. What is important in comedic acting is understanding the narrative flow and features of the text and expressing it accurately. Comedic effects can be sufficiently represented if an actor truly expresses his means and faithfully demonstrates what the text requires. It is hoped that such research will help explore various acting arts, the acting education field, and the theater creation process.

Mass Media and Social Media Agenda Analysis Using Text Mining : focused on '5-day Rotation Mask Distribution System' (텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 매스 미디어와 소셜 미디어 의제 분석 : '마스크 5부제'를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes online news articles and cafe articles on the '5-day Rotation Mask Distribution System', which is emerging as a recent issue due to the COVID-19 incident, to identify the mass media and social media agendas containing media and public reactions. This study figured out the difference between mass media and social media. For analysis, we collected 2,096 full text articles from Naver and 1,840 posts from Naver Cafe, and conducted word frequency analysis, word cloud, and LDA topic modeling analysis through data preprocessing and refinement. As a result of analysis, social media showed real-life topics such as 'family members' purchase', 'the postponement of school opening', ' mask usage', and 'mask purchase', reflecting the characteristics of personal media. Social media was found to play a role of exchanging personal opinions, emotions, and information rather than delivering information. With the application of the research method applied to this study, social issues can be publicized through various media analysis and used as a reference in the process of establishing a policy agenda that evolves into a government agenda.

Supporting Media using XML-based Messages on Online Conversational Activity (온라인 대화 행위에서 XML 기반 메시지를 이용한 미디어 지원)

  • This paper proposes how to support various media on online conversational activity using XML(extensible Markup Language). The method converts media information into XML based messages and handles alike conventional text based messages. The XML based messages are unified to an XML document, and then a HTML document is generated using the XML and an XSLT documents in a server. A user in each client can play or present media through the hyperlink that is associated media information on the HTML document. The suggested method supports use of various media (text, image, audio, video, documents, etc) and efficient maintenance of font size, color, and style on messages according to extension and modification of XML tags. For application, this paper implemented the system to support media that has client and server architecture on online conversational activity. A user in each client inputs text or media based message using JAVA applet and servlet on the system, and conversational messages on every users' interfaces are automatically updated whenever a user inputs new message. Media on conversational messages are played or presented according to a user's click on hyperlink. Applications for the media presentation are as follows : distance learning, online game, collaboration, etc.

  • New platform governments will play a role to pull intelligent information technology to drive new ecological government innovation and sustainable development in which the government and people work together. On this, in order to establish the platform of the platform government, we will look at recent research trends and lay the foundation for future policy directions and research bases. using Text Mining method, and went through Topic modeling for the collected text data and network analysis was conducted. According to the result, based on latent topic, the stronger the connection center, the weaker the relationship. Through this study, we hope that discussions will take place in a variety of ways to improve the understanding of the supply and demand approach of Korea's platform government and implement appropriate change management methods such as service public base and service provision in accordance with the value and potential topics of platform government.
