The structural design requirements of an offshore platform subjected to wave induced forces and moments in the jacket can play a major role in the design of the offshore structures. For an economic and reliable design; good estimation of wave loadings are essential. A nonlinear response analysis of a fixed offshore platform under structural and wave loading is presented, the structure is discretized using the finite element method, wave plus current kinematics (velocity and acceleration fields) are generated using 5th order Stokes wave theory, the wave force acting on the member is calculated using Morison's equation. Hydrodynamic loading on horizontal and vertical tubular members and the dynamic response of fixed offshore structure together with the distribution of displacement, axial force and bending moment along the leg are investigated for regular and extreme conditions, where the structure should keep production capability in conditions of the 1-yr return period wave and must be able to survive the 100-yr return period storm conditions. The result of the study shows that the nonlinear response investigation is quite crucial for safe design and operation of offshore platform.

In this paper, we investigate the problem of achieving global optimization for distributed carrier aggregation (CA) in small cell networks, using a game theoretic solution. To cope with the local interference and the distinct cost of intra-band and inter-band CA, we propose a non-cooperation game which is proved as an exact potential game. Furthermore, we propose a spatial adaptive play learning algorithm with heterogeneous learning parameters to converge towards NE of the game. In this algorithm, heterogeneous learning parameters are introduced to accelerate the convergence speed. It is shown that with the proposed game-theoretic approach, global optimization is achieved with local information exchange. Simulation results validate the effectivity of the proposed game-theoretic CA approach.

Understanding the nature of MHD turbulence is of fundamental importance in astrophysics. The results of these studies can be used to develop the star formation theory. While most of previous studies have considered turbulence in uniform media, the stratification of media can play an important role. We performed three-dimensional numerical simulations of isothermal, compressible, MHD turbulence with different plasma beta's and different flow Mach numbers in stratified media to study the effects of stratification on turbulence. We found Statistics of turbulent flow in stratified media is different from in uniform media. In this talk, we present the statistical properties of the MHD turbulence, such as the PDF, power spectrum, and structure function.

In recent years, behavioral disorders of young people and juvenile delinquency tend to increase remarkably in number, and closed up highly as a social and educational problems in Korea. It goes without saying that parents generally play important roles in children's development of personality, and the home is mostly responsible for juvenile delinquency. Therefore, first this paper describes a relation between broken family and juvenile delinquents. Burt, Shideler, Neumayer, and Glueck maintain that broken family is a cause of delinquency, on the other hand, Healy and Sutherland assume a critical attitude toward their contentions. Second, Breckinridge, Merril, and Glueck maintain that poor family is as cause of delinquency, while Sullenger, Neumayer, and Dirksen make a considerable point which poverty has no direct connection with delinquency. Third, abnormal family relationships namely, discord family, abnormal parent-child relationship, and immoral family exert a bad influence upon formation of personality, esepecialy during the period of preschool childhood. These results give some empirical support to the theory that children's conduct disorders and juvenile delinquency are caused by defective family relationships. It is necessary that a community has a supporting structure of children's wholesome development and the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

The distribution and abundance of Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba), particularly in the South Atlantic, has traditionally been viewed as primarily determined by the flow of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current. Krill are viewed as being particles on a conveyor belt that carries them around the Antarctic continent resulting in a single circumpolar population. The evidence to support this viewpoint is largely circumstantial and there is very little direct evidence available of krill being moved by the currents-krill flux. There is also considerable biological and physical evidence which suggests that other factors may play a dominant role in the life history and distribution of krill. This review examines the evidence fur krill flux and also examines evidence that does not accord with this theory. The management implications of assuming krill flux are outlined and some lines for future research are suggested.

Carbon nanotubes (CNT)-metal contacts play an important role in nanoelectronics applications such as field-effect transistor (FET) devices. Using Al and (10,0) CNT, we have recently showed that the CNT-metal contacts mediated via topological defects within CNT exhibits intrinsically low contact resistance, thanks to the preservation of the sp2 bonding network at the metal-CNT contacts.[1] It is well-established that metals with good wetting property such as Pd consistently yield good contacts to both metallic and semiconducting CNTs. In this work, the electronic and charge transport properties of the interfaces between capped CNT and Pd will be investigated based on first-principles computations and compared with previous results obtained for the Al electrodes.

With the increasing demand for intelligent services, knowledge graph technologies have attracted much attention. Various application-specific knowledge bases have been developed in industry and academia. In particular, open knowledge bases play an important role for constructing a new knowledge base by serving as a reference data source. However, identifying the same entities among heterogeneous knowledge sources is not trivial. This study focuses on extracting and determining exact and precise entities, which is essential for merging and fusing various knowledge sources. To achieve this, several algorithms for extracting the same entities are proposed and then their performance is evaluated using real-world knowledge sources.

With the development of AI (artificial intelligence), animation digital publishing has been integrated with intellectualization. This paper adopts the theory of the global value chain, and analyzes the basic structure of the animation publishing value chain. Then focuses on the analysis of digital technology and artificial intelligence technology to play an active role in the topic selection and content customization of animation digital publishing products, optimization of publishing platforms, and user experience of publishing products. Finally, it proposes the use of artificial intelligence data analysis and deep learning technology. The purpose of this paper is to realize the upgrading of animation digital publishing, product upgrading, industrial chain upgrading, and identify some promotion methods for the value chain, such as copyright protection.

This study examines which factors are urging Korean companies to participate in e-marketplaces. By adding interorganizational factors, we extended an innovation-theory-based research model that is often applied to study the information technology adoption. 71 questionnaires from 720 Korean manufacturing companies were collected. Independent variables of the research were environmental, organizational, innovation, and interorganizational characteristics. We found that the environmental characteristics, innovation characteristics, and interorganizational characteristics have insignificant effect on the participation of domestic companies in e-marketplaces whereas the organizational characteristics have significant relationship with the participation in e-marketplaces. The result implies that many Korean companies take wait-and-see strategy in the forming stage of e-marketplaces, However, IT infrastructure and the support of top management for IT play very important role in adopting e-marketplaces.
