도관내 원형관의 자연대류 열전달에서 입구 및 출구 길이 효과 (Influence of the Entrance and Exit Lengths on the Natural Convection Heat Transfer of a Cylinder in a Duct)

  • 굴뚝내 수직 원형관의 자연대류에서 굴뚝의 입구길이, 출구길이, 그리고 굴뚝의 직경에 따른 열전달 변화를 실험적으로 연구하였다. 상사성을 이용하여 열전달 실험 대신 물질전달 실험을 수행하였다. 직경 0.054 m, 높이 0.03, 0.07, 0.10 m의 원형관에 대하여 굴뚝의 직경을 0.06 m에서 0.14 m까지, 높이를 0.30 m에서 1.10 m까지 변화시켰다. 이는 Pr 수 2,094, $Ra_L$$4.55{\times}10^9$, $5.79{\times}10^{10}$, 그리고 $1.69{\times}10^{11}$에 해당한다. 굴뚝이 없을 때, 수직 원형관의 열전달은 Le Ferve의 수직평판에 대한 층류 자연대류 상관식과 일치하였다. 출구길이를 증가시키며 실험한 결과, 열전달은 증가하다가 특정 출구길이 이상에서는 일정해 졌다. 반면, 입구길이를 증가시킬 때는 열전달은 감소하다가 특정 입구길이 이상에서는 일정해졌다. 굴뚝효과로 증가된 열전달은 굴뚝의 직경을 증가시킬수록 감소하다가 굴뚝이 없을 때와 같아졌다.

관절 내 종골 골절에서 Ollier 접근법을 이용한 나사못 고정술 시 삼면 피질골 이식 (Tricortical-allobone Grafting in Screw Fixation for Intra-articular Calcaneal Fracture via Ollier Approach)

  • Purpose: Bone grafting is often necessary to maintain a reduction and prevent delayed collapse of reduced fracture in a treatment of severely displaced comminuted intra-articular calcaneal fractures. Herein, we analyzed the usefulness and necessary conditions to perform tricortical-allobone grafting in open reduction of calcaneal fracture via the Ollier approach. Materials and Methods: We performed a retrospective review of 57 intra-articular calcaneal fractures that underwent an operation via the Ollier approach between April 2009 and April 2015. They were divided into two groups: Group 1 (n=17) included those with tricortical-allobone grafts underneath the posterior facet fragment, and group 2 (n=40) included cases without a bone graft. We measured the $B{\ddot{o}}hler$ angle, Gissane angle, height, and width of the calcaneus at preoperative, postoperative, and final follow-up radiograph. We measured the sagittal rotational angle of the posterior facet fragment of preoperative computed tomography to analyze the effect and necessary conditions for bone grafting. We also reviewed the clinical results by the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) scale, visual analogue scale (VAS), and any complications. Results: According to the Sanders classification, there were 3 type-II fractures, 12 type-III fractures, and 2 type-IV fractures in Group 1; whereas in Group 2, there were 26 type-II fractures, 13 type-III fractures, and 1 type-IV fracture (p=0.002). Regarding the preoperative radiologic parameters, there were significant differences in the $B{\ddot{o}}hler$ angle (p=0.006), Gissane angle (p=0.043), and rotational angle of the posterior facet fragment (p=0.001). No significant difference was observed in the preoperative calcaneal height and width, as well as postoperative radiologic parameters. There was no significant clinical difference between the two groups (p=0.546). Conclusion: We suggest that a tricortical-allobone graft may be useful in open reduction and screw fixation via the Ollier approach for displaced intra-articular calcaneal fracture with a bony defect after reduction of collapsed posterior facet fragment. This graft can contribute to the stable reduction via a small approach, even without a plate.

U-항만 환경에서 금속부착을 위한 인셋 급전 마이크로패치 안테나 설계 (Design of Microstrip Patch Antenna using Inset-Fed Layered for Metallic Object in u-Port)

  • 최근 전 세계적으로 ITC 기술을 이용한 항만 물류 분야의 경쟁력이 심화되는 추세를 보이고 있으며 현재 우리나라도 국가 전략적 차원에서 생산성 향상 및 서비스의 개선을 통한 고부가 가치를 획득하기 위한 u-Port(항만 물류) 사업이 진행 중이다. u-Port 사업에서 주된 기술 요소로 RFID/USN 기술이 사용되는데, 이 기술은 금속 환경에서의 태그 인식률이 좋지 않고, 인식거리가 짧다는 문제점들을 이유로 센서 노드들의 추가적인 배치를 통하여 관리를 하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 방법은 오차 범위가 크고 시스템 구축 초기비용 및 유지보수 비용이 많이 들어 U-Port용 시스템 구축에 여러 가지 문제점을 초래하고 있다. 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 금속 태그 제작에 사용되는 급전의 문제점을 개선하고, 주변 환경 요소인 금속 물질로 인한 영향을 줄여 태그를 금속 물체에 부착 할 경우에도 장거리 인식율을 높일 수 있도록 인셋 급전을 적용한 산업용 RFID 적층형 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나를 설계하였다. 인셋 급전은 기존의 유도결합 급전을 이용한 구조와는 다르게 방사체와 급전선이 서로 분리되어 있지 않은 것이 가장 큰 특징이다. 이런 특징의 구조는 낮은 안테나 높이와 태그 칩에 임피던스 정합이 가능한 형태를 생산할 수 있게 해준다. 그러나 무조건 태그 안테나의 높이를 줄이면 안테나의 임피던스는 접지면과 방사체 사이의 기생 캐패시턴스가 증가하여 임피던스 정합의 어려움이 발생할 수 있으므로 단락 구조를 급전에 적용시켜 안테나의 임피던스를 인덕티브하게 만드는 방법을 이용하여 태그 안테나 설계 시 단점을 최소화하고 장점을 극대화 시켰다[1][2]. 이러한 기술적 요소들을 적용하여 본 논문에서는 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나를 변형된 형태로 설계하였고, 부착되는 금속물질의 영향을 줄이기 위해 인셋 급전을 이용하였으며, 안테나의 구성을 단일 층이 아닌 멀티층, 즉 방사체와 접지면 사이에 금속판을 삽입하여 특성저하를 감소시켰다.

Posterior Cervical Fixation with Nitinol Shape Memory Loop in the Anterior-Posterior Combined Approach for the Patients with Three Column Injury of the Cervical Spine: Preliminary Report

  • Objective: The authors reviewed clinical and radiological outcomes in patients with three column injury of the cervical spine who had undergone posterior cervical fixation using Nitinol shape memory alloy loop in the anterior-posterior combined approach. Materials: Nine patients were surgically treated with anterior cervical fusion using an iliac bone graft and dynamic plate-screw system, and the posterior cervical fixation using Nitinol shape memory loop ($Davydov^{TM}$) at the same time. A retrospective review was performed. Clinical outcomes were assessed using the Frankel grading method. We reviewed the radiological parameters such as bony fusion rate, height of iliac bone graft strut, graft subsidence, cervical lordotic angle, and instrument related complication. Results: Single-level fusion was performed in five patients, and two-level fusion in four. Solid bone fusion was presented in all cases after surgery. The mean height of graft strut was significantly decreased from $20.46{\pm}9.97mm$ at immediate postoperative state to $18.87{\pm}8.60mm$ at the final follow-up period (p<0.05). The mean cervical lordotic angle decreased from $13.83{\pm}11.84^{\circ}$ to $11.37{\pm}6.03^{\circ}$ at the immediate postoperative state but then, increased to $24.39{\pm}9.83^{\circ}$ at the final follow-up period (p<0.05). There were no instrument related complications. Conclusion: We suggest that the posterior cervical fixation using Nitinol shape memory alloy loop may be a simple and useful method, and be one of treatment options in anterior-posterior combined approach for the patients with the three column injury of the cervical spine.

디지털 홀로그래피를 이용한 포토리소그래피 공정 제품 패터닝의 폭과 단차 측정 (Measurement of Width and Step-Height of Photolithographic Product Patterns by Using Digital Holography)

  • 반도체 산업은 우리나라 주력산업중 하나로 매년 꾸준한 성장세를 보이며 지속적인 성장을 하고 있다. 이러한 반도체 산업에서의 중요한 기술은 소자의 고 집적화이다. 이는 면적당 메모리 용량을 증가시키는 것으로 핵심역할을 하는 것이 바로 포토리소그래피 기술이다. 포토리소그래피란 마스크의 표면에 빛을 쬐어 생기는 그림자를 웨이퍼 상에 인쇄하는 기술이며 반도체 제조공정에서의 가장 중요한 공정이다. 이러한 공정을 통해 나온 패터닝을 분석 시에 폭과 단차의 균일성을 측정한다. 이에 따라 본 논문은 포토리소그래피 공정이 적용된 시험편 패터닝에 폭과 판 사이와의 단차를 투과형 디지털 홀로그래피를 구성하여 측정하고자 한다. 투과형 디지털 홀로그래피 간섭계를 구성하고 시험편에 임의의 9포인트를 설정하여 각 포인트를 측정하고 상용장비인 SEM (scanning electron microscopy)과 alpha step으로 측정한 결과와 비교하고자 한다. 투과형 디지털 홀로그래피는 측정시간이 타 기법에 비에 짧다는 장점과 배율렌즈를 사용하기 때문에 저 배율에서 고 배율로 변경하여 측정할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 실험 결과로부터 투과형 디지털 홀로그래피가 포토 리소그래피가 적용된 패터닝 측정에 유용한 기술임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Algorithm to determine injection position in olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus

  • This study aimed to develop an algorithm to determine the optimal injection position in olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus when a vaccine is injected into the fish by using a vision-based automatic equipment measruing the total length (TL), width and weight of the fish. Over a 5-month period, 500 olive flounders were examined to analyze the relation of the fish size and to the shape and location of its abdomen, using radiography, a ruler plate and scale. There were significant correlations between the TL and the shape and location of the abdomen. The abdomen was located 0.232TL - 2.7221 mm ($R^2$=0.8787) from the end of the mouth of the fish. The height and width of the abdomen in the fish were 0.1292TL + 1.8768 mm ($R^2$=0.7935) and 0.183TL-5.9791 mm ($R^2$=0.8641), respectively. The injection point in the abdominal region avoiding organs was determined by calculating the center of gravity of the abdomen volume. This can be expressed as g (0.2759TL - 2.0965, 0.1295TL - 4.2325) on the basis of TL line coordinates. The injection point by the expressed coordinates had errors for the x and y axes as 12.15 mm and 8.28 mm, respectively. These were enough to use the algorithm to injection for the equipment. This automated method to determine the position of any part in the fish can also be used for other purposes, for example, intramuscular injection or auto-tagging of fish.

계단내리기 시 우세·비우세 체지의 가방착용과 무게변화에 따른 지면반력 파라미터 분석 (Analysis of the Ground Reaction Force Parameters According to the Change of Position and Weights of Bag during Downward Stairs Between Dominant and Non-dominant in Upper & lower limbs)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze of the GRF (ground reaction force) parameters according to the change of positions and weights of bag during downward stairs between dominant and non-dominant in upper & lower limbs. To perform this study, participants were selected 9 healthy women (age: $21.40{\pm}0.94yrs$, height: $166.50{\pm}2.68cm$, body mass: $57.00{\pm}3.61kg$, BMI: $20.53{\pm}1.03kg/m^2$), divided into 2 carrying bag positions (dominant arm/R, non-dominant arm/L) and walked with 3 type of bag weights (0, 3, 5 kg) respectively. One force-plate was used to collect GRF (AMTI OR6-7) data at a sample rate of 1000 Hz. The variables analyzed were consisted of the medial-lateral GRF (Fx), anterior-posterior GRF (Fy), vertical GRF (Fz), impact loading rate and center of pressure (COPx, COPy, COP area, COPy posterior peak time) during downward stairs. 1) The Fx, Fy, Fz, COPx, and COP area of GRF were not statistically significant between dominant leg and non-dominant leg, but non-dominant leg, that is, showed the higher COPy, and showed higher impact loading rate than that dominant leg during downward stairs. 2) In bag wearing to non-dominant arm, Fx, Fz, COPx, COPy, impact loading rate and COP area showed increase tendency according to increase of bag weights. Also, against bag wearing to dominant arm, non-dominant showed different mechanism according to increase of bag weights. The Ground Reaction Force parameters showed different characteristics according to the positions and weights of bag during downward stairs between dominant and non-dominant arm.

소형 이원추진제 추력기를 위한 재생냉각 유로형상 설계에 대한 선행연구 (Preliminary Research of Regenerative Cooling Channel Design for Small Scale Bipropellant Thruster)

  • 2,500 N급 과산화수소/케로신 이원 추력기의 성능 향상 및 다양한 미션에 적용하기 위하여 재생냉각의 적용가능성을 검토하였다. 1-D 계산을 통해 과산화수소를 냉각제로 하는 경우에 대한 계산을 수행하였다. 설계된 재생냉각 연소기의 노즐 목에서의 열 유속은 18-20 MW/$m^2$로 예측되었으며, 그에 따른 유로의 너비는 2.5 mm 높이는 0.45 mm로 설계 되었다. 설계된 유로형상을 바탕으로 냉각 유로 내에서의 압력강하를 예측하기 위한 평판형 모델을 제작하여 실험을 진행하였고, 수치해석 결과와 비교를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 수치해석과 실험결과와의 최대 오차는 약 13%, 그리고 평균 오차는 약 5%로 계산되었다.

Seismic-resistant slim-floor beam-to-column joints: experimental and numerical investigations

  • The slim-floor solution provides an efficient alternative to the classic slab-over-beam configuration due to architectural and structural benefits. Two deficiencies can be identified in the current state-of-art: (i) the technique is limited to nonseismic applications and (ii) the lack of information on moment-resisting slim-floor beam-to-column joints. In the seismic design of framed structures, continuous beam-to-column joints are required for plastic hinges to form at the ends of the beams. The present paper proposes a slim-floor technical solution capable of expanding the current application of slim-floor joints to seismic-resistant composite construction. The proposed solution relies on a moment-resisting connection with a thick end-plate and large-diameter bolts, which are used to fulfill the required strength and stiffness characteristics of continuous connections, while maintaining a reduced height of the configuration. Considering the proposed novel solution and the variety of parameters that could affect the behavior of the joint, experimental and numerical validations are compulsory. Consequently, the current paper presents the experimental and numerical investigation of two slim-floor beam-to-column joint assemblies. The results are discussed in terms of moment-rotation curves, available rotational capacity and failure modes. The study focuses on developing reliable slim-floor beam joints that are applicable to steel building frame structures located in seismic regions.

장파봉파가 해상표적의 RCS에 미치는 영향에 대한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on the Effect of Long-crested Wave to the RCS of Marine Target)

  • RCS effects of long-crested wave surfaces to marine targets are numerically analyzed using a 4-path model and a direct analysis method, developed based on physical optics and a combined method of physical optics/geometric optics, respectively. Reflectivity of long-crested wave surfaces is described with 'Fresnel reflection coefficients' The MPM(modified Pierson-Moskowitz) ocean spectrum is adopted to simulate long-crested waves in the direct analysis method. A numerical analysis of a benchmark model assures the validity of both methods. The direct analysis method is applied to the RCS calculation of electromagnetically large marine targets, which are vertically oriented or slanted to the long crested wave surfaces randomly generated with various significant wave heights. The long-crested wave surface much highly increases the RCS of the marine target, but those effects are decreased as the significant wave height grows up. At low elevation angle, the vertical model has entirely high RCS comparing slanted model, and the RCS of vertical flat plate is the highest on the calm sea surface, while those of slanted flat plates are the lowest on the calm sea surface. The RCS of marine targets on continuously-varying sea surface is more coherent at lower elevation angles, as well.
