Although information communication technology (ICT) is long regard as very useful tool in today's construction engineering and project management environment, organizations must not only operate based upon its original setting, but also requires on-going observation, additional features and fine-tuning actions before the desirable outcome can be achieved. However, it is a very common phenomenon that organizations purchase the licensed "off-the-shelf-software" package and customize it to suit their own business need. Due to the incapability of such software and inefficient customization, the possible result is making that ICT tool not user-friendly and sometimes the whole system becomes obsolete. The purpose of this paper is to review and report those actions taken (between February 2006 and December 2010) by a construction organization to enhance the performance of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system launched in December 2002. Such actions include: improving data inputting method; removing the transition bottleneck; introducing crystallization function; revising the organization's "Delegation and Limits of Authority"; publishing the "League Table" amongst users; integrating the 3D Mode into the system and upgrading hardware. Whilst the ultimate goals of such system are well beyond the time limit of this research study, an obvious interim result, achieved by this case studied organization, was winning a landmark project worth US$500 million after the ERP system was functioned properly and effectively. Their experience and success becomes an exemplar which can be borrowed by those companies, from managerial perspectives and as a roadmap, planning to adopt information technology (IT) strategy and use ICT tool in the construction engineering and project management framework. Singapore, where public housing provisions have been a major concern of their citizens as the building stock gets older.
The purposes of this study were to investigate importance level and performance frequency of the dietitians' duties and task elements, to examine the actual condition of education and need for education, to analyze the interrelation between their tasks and education, and to provide the direction of education for the contracted Business & Industry (B & I) foodservice dietitians. The task elements of receiving, ordering, HACCP management and directing serving process were done almost every day. In terms of the importance of tasks, food sanitation management, personnel sanitation management, receiving and ordering were high. Meanwhile, the computerization of their works was being carried out on the whole, showing a higher frequency in all the details of procurement management and accounting management, as well as task elements such as menu planning, leftover and food waste management, HACCP management and human resource management. In the past three years, HACCP management, cost management, planning work schedule and allotting a task, general business and sale bond management were increased most and rapidly. For the actual condition of education, dietitians got more education for the duty of sanitation, safe and facility/utility management than any other duty, while they did less education of procurement management and office management than others. Meanwhile, the education for sanitation, safe and facility/utility management and accounting management were very much required. For the relationships of frequency of duty and the necessity of education, seven task elements including food sanitation management were correlated positively. Eighteen tasks besides menu planning had a significant positive correlation between the importance of duties and the necessity of education.

Construction management is essential for a achieving any pre-determined objective. It is however seen that in spite of construction management, majority of the project do not keep up their original time schedule and their completion cost is also higher as compared with the estimated cost The main reason for overrun in time and cost is that the planning at the outset of the project was not adequate or method of planning was not a refined one. In this research work, I showed the overall conditions of construction work and management in Sylhet city of Bangladesh and found many drawbacks in the construction management after completing my research. I found several factors affecting proper construction management and I have provided brief results. I have also provided some recommendations after my research work.
A Systematic Wealth Management Framework (SWMF) was developed as a private banking management tool to enable more integrative personal finance management of personal wealth. It is a reference model that provides an unified framework for development, operation, and management and makes provision for personal financial services in today's complex financial environment. This study suggested some practical results from banks and insurance companies that have established SWMF as the differentiation business strategy for wealthy customers. The focus of this manuscript is on capturing the methodological approach most financial institutions in Korea adopted to execute new e-finance planning and implementation based on the SWMF. The alignment between the wealth management business goals and information system architecture at an organization constitutes the main theoretical basis of the study. Relevant discussions are made on the wealth management framework as a general business model for financial industry, on the functional relationship between new information systems and business organizations. Finally, lessons learned from the SWMF implementation are discussed.

Studies on landscape ecology have focused on conceptual aspects, while empirical focus for spatial planning has been rarely conducted. This study conducted an empirical analysis to enhance landscape ecological performance of urban developments using landscape ecology. To do so, concrete criteria and standards to analyze structural, functional and variational mechanisms of urban landscape ecology were developed. An integrated landscape ecology assessment model that can be applied to urban development planning was established by combining the criteria. Next, Landscape Ecological Management System (LEMS) was developed to implement an integrated assessment using GIS. To verify the effectiveness of the system, a case study was conducted using LEMS on Byulnae City in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. The LEMS can be useful for urban planners and policy makers in their selection of desirable planning alternatives. Moreover, the LEMS developed in this study can be a useful tool for academia in terms of the implementation of further related studies, and for planning professionals in their environmental impact assessment tasks.

Roadway construction planning processes involve a large amount of information on design, construction methods, quantities, unit costs, and production rates. GIS (Geographic Information System) is a strong tool for integration and managing various types of information such as spatial and non-spatial data required for roadway construction planning. This paper proposes a GIS-based system for improving roadway construction planning with its 'Spatial Analysis' and 'Visualization' functions. The proposed system cail help construction planner make a proper decision in a unique way by integrating design information and construction information within the system and creating design element modules for space scheduling purposes in real-time with its 'Interactive Planning' function.

Concrete construction requires utilization of many temporary facilities such as formwork, shoring, and scaffolding. Appropriate use of these temporary facilities greatly impacts the quality, cost, schedule, and safety of concrete construction. The current practice in design and planning of temporary facilities is often manual, error-prone, and re-active based on construction site layout, status, and progress in the field. Early design and planning of temporary facilities for concrete construction using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology offers a potential solution. Although some commercially-available software exists that assists in the generation of temporary facility designs, the construction industry lacks tools that support detailed planning and design of many other temporary facilities. This research presents our early work in automating the design and planning of temporary facilities utilizing BIM. Algorithms were developed to automatically assess geometric conditions of work space to detect required temporary facilities and design them. The proposed methodology was implemented in a test model. By automatically incorporating temporary facilities into BIM, more realistic construction models can be created with less effort and errors. Temporary facilities-loaded models can finally be used for communication, bill of materials, scheduling, etc. and as a benchmark for field installation of temporary formwork, shoring, and scaffolding systems.

This study focuses on the application of landscape planning(i.e. including rural landscape character area designation and rural landscape planning etc.). That application of landscape planning provides the probably most operable and comprehensive version of what is generally accepted by the discipline. According to the planning discipline the schemes of planning are to; Firstly, we derived the improvement of landscape and the methods of landscape characterization subsequent to analyze the present condition and grasp the landscape resources in Yesan via reviewing the current study and field survey. Secondly, in order to achieve environmentally friendly rural landscape plan and characteristic rural landscape creation, we planed the draft landscape area such as woodland, hydrology area, urbanized area, rural communities, etc. which was classified by sphere of life moreover, we planed partly outdoor facilities, road and colour suchlike. Thirdly, we tried to seek the programme of conservation and utilization for scenic and characteristic rural landscape area via rural landscape character area designation. Lastly, it is proposed that rural landscape planning lead to inhabitant participation, system improvement, subject performance for carrying out efficient rural landscape planning.
Community Health Planning has been used in public health centers for over 10 years, but little is known about its effect and how it is utilized by public health centers. This paper examines the effect of Community Health Planning on public health centers'organizational performance through the use of the Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) technique. We conducted e-mail surveys of chiefs, people in charge of planning and other staff members in all the public health centers in the country. The instrument measured self-evaluated levels of Community Health Planning, implementation and the effect on the public health centers. The model of the SEM technique has five latent constructs: requirements of planning, plan formulation, implementation, organizational capacity and performance. The SEM technique validated the instrument used in the study and exhibited a relatively good fit. Results of this study were as follows. First, the requirements of planning have positive effects on plan formulation. Second, plan formulation has positive effects on organizational capacity but plan implementation doesn't. Third, there was no statistically significant path between plan formulation, implementation and performance. Fourth, organizational capacity has positive effects on performance. Consequently, this study revealed that Community Health Planning has a positive influence on organizational performance through organizational capacity.
