The purpose of this study was to present a guideline for the construction of children park that can create a quality of dwelling and be easily approached and utilized by residents. In order to present a direction of planning, the investigator examined the actual state of children park in low-rise house residential area, and analyzed its general characteristics. And the discriminative characteristics according to the standpoints of planning of children park. The analytic standpoints were classified into the size and disposition of park, the nature of adjacent street and the utilization of park, and the satisfaction and requirement for the internal space of park. The guideline of planning of children park are as follow: (1) The disposition and size of children park: the children park must be disposed convenient use of all the residents. (2) The environment around including approaching streets and facilities around: residents' recognition and access in their everyday life must be considered in relation to the neighborhood streets and surrounding facilities. (3) The composition and utilization of internal space: the internal space must support all the activities of users, and reflect users' requirements in order to induce them to use it continuously.

Recently, the concern of aging society is 'Healthy life' for the elderly and pre-elderly. Especially, realizing the 'Healthy life', it is very important for the elderly to establish living environment for holding and maintaining mental depression. Mental depression is related to dysfunction of sensory organ included physical functions. Therefore, the dysfunction of elderly's sensory organ is required to the guideline of environmental planning. In this study, among five senses, I focused visual sense due to the large proportion of environmental perception. The purpose of this study is to analyze the degree of geriatric depression and preference of simulated images applying preferable color for the elderly. This study conducted literature review and questionnaire survey. Firstly, the previous studies related with the melancholy, sense of isolation, self-regard for the elderly analyzed. Secondly, the questionnaire tool measuring the degree of geriatric depression developed. Thirdly, the tool investigating the preference for the simulated images applied main, sub, and accent colors produced. Applied preferable colors were used from the results previous study. Lastly, based on the result, the basic data of color planning were suggested. It was judged that this study is an useful as the basic guideline of color planning for the elderly's residential spaces and the potential value of considering geriatric depression and the color planning in terms of the elderly's visual sense.

This paper describes a proposed performance criteria and evaluation procedures for transmission system planning in Korea. Performance criteria of the transmission system are expected to be used as a guideline for investment into a transmission network. Moreover, performance evaluation procedures, which are based on current practices and widely accepted theories, are suggested to achieve fair and acceptable results.

Purpose: As declines in the quality of residential environments occur, such as urban heat island effect, tropical night phenomenon, and violations of right to light and privacy due to urban densification and high rise building, these problems are emerging as social issues. In order to improve these issues, design factors which consider environmental aspects must be selected when planning apartment complexes, and ways to reflect them in the planning phase must be explored. Method: In this study, the analytical hierarchy process(AHP) was used to deduce design factors that considered environmental elements during the planning of apartment complexes. Furthermore, the priority and weight for each evaluation index were assessed. The objective was to propose a guideline for planning apartment complexes by finding the best solution for each evaluation index using complex weight values. Result: Floor area ratio was selected as the most important evaluation criterion in the environmentally conscious evaluation index for apartment complex planning. The shape and placement of skylights were selected as the most important evaluation criteria in the sunshine environment for a pleasant residential environment. Ground surface cover design was selected as the most important criterion in the outdoor thermal environment index for improving the microclimate within cities and apartment complexes. Thus, the results of this study can serve as an investigation guideline that concerns policy and regulations, and as reference data that can be used in planning apartment complexes.

This paper describes the path planning method in an unknown environment for an autonomous mobile robot equipped with CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) camera. The mobile robot moves along the guideline. The CCD camera is useful to detect the existence of a guideline. The wavelet transform is used to find the edge of guideline. Using wavelet transform, we can make an image processing more easily and rapidly. We make a fuzzy control rule using image data then make a decision the position and the navigation of the mobile robot. The center value that indicates the center of guideline is the input of fuzzy logic controller and the steering angle of the mobile robot is the fuzzy output. Some actual experiments for the mobile robot applied fuzzy control show that the mobile robot effectively moves to target position.

In this study, we report on the procedure of developing a guideline for clinical research protocol using moxibustion. Systematic review of the literature about moxibustion was conducted as a preliminary study to make basic content. Review and consulting by experts from each field was conducted to improve the quality. And we made checklist by arranging keypoint of this guideline. This guideline, Moxibustion Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial Guideline(MOXRATE), aims to be a guide for future researchers in planning clinical study using moxibustion as an intervention. MOXRATE also reports on an ethical issues.

Owing to a space covered by glass, atrium is an attractive space with a possibility as an inner public space but a typical building type with a high-energy load. From the aspect of global environmental issues, to reduce energy load is an important assignment to solve. Contriving a planning guideline of an opening is considered as the most effective environment adjustment method, to offer a highly assessed amenity space and secure openness to outside, keep the energy load to a minimum, and apply the natural energy such as daylight to a maximum at the same time. Users' assessment of environment was performed by questionnaire survey, then the structure of users' assessment was analyzed and design condition was regulated by multiple regression analysis. The opening design guideline to offer a highly assessed space was proposed with concrete environment adjustment method.

Considering the present outdoor environment of city landscapes, the improvement of well-formed street landscapes is very important issue in Korea. At this point of time, it is very meaningful to understand the outdoor advertising design and the planning condition of buildings and examine various problems about this and the possibilities for improvement. Thus the purpose of this study is to accumulate basic data to establish design guideline and visual factors for the outdoor advertising for useful environment. The conclusions of this study are as follows: outdoor advertising design is powerful design tools as identified to city landscape. Planning factors for outdoor advertising design should be developed systematically and more fit to the street environment and designers in the aspect of control and guidance.
