입력분기방식 하이브리드 전기자동차의 구동계 구조에 따른 동력 성능 비교 분석 (Comparative Study of Different Drive-train Driving Performances for the Input Split Type Hybrid Electric Vehicle)

  • In this study, the performances of five input split type hybrid electric vehicle sub-drivetrains were analyzed. The five sub-drivetrains consist of chain, helical gears and planetary gears. For the analyzing above five sub-drivetrains, the mathematical equations were derived. From the analysis, we found that the sub-drivetrain with chain shows slower acceleration performance and larger energy consumption on the city driving. And, the sub-drivetrain with only helical gear shows smallest energy consumption on the city driving. If the sub-drivetrain can change its gear speed, it shows fastest acceleration performance, but it has largest energy consumption on the city driving due to its additional auxiliary components.

  • The gearbox for wind turbine have been increased the size by the wind turbine is needed to produce bigger power. The optimal sizing for gearbox is demanded because of limited space on the nacelle. The volume and weight for the gearbox are influenced especially for size of it. Therefore, the purpose of this study investigates the design characteristics considering types of gear train structure for optimizing the volume and weight of the gearbox.

  • This paper deals with the design and modal characteristics analysis of a drive-train for a paralleltype hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). The function of the drive-train system (DTS) in the HEV combines or divides the torque and velocity from the internal combustion engine along with the induction motor. The system consists of a compound planetary gear and unit's electromagnetic clutch to provide the operation modes such as Engine Only (EO), Electric Vehicle (EV), and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) modes. In order to investigate the characteristics of the velocity and torque flow for the system, dynamic models of the HEV with DTS are derived from the prototype DTS. The performance of the derived dynamic models is evaluated by both computer simulations and experiments according to each mode.

  • In gear-train design, power-flow analysis is a very important process. The method for power-flow analysis apply the power balance equation and torque balance equation to each fundamental circuit. Then, the equation are solved simultaneously to determine the power-flow in planetary gear train. In this paper we perform power-flow analysis of a 6-speed automatic transmission. With this results are used to represent block diagram. In addition, the efficiencies of epicyclic inversion of the 6-speed automatic transmission is obtained.

  • A hybrid finite element analysis was used to analyze the influence of ring gear rim thickness and spline number on the static properties of a planetary gear system with manufacturing errors. Both of these parameters affected the bearing force and critical stress. The effect of changes in the rim thickness on the load sharing between the gears depended on the type of manufacturing error. Ring flexibility improved the load sharing between planetary gears only in systems with planet tooth thickness or planet tangential errors; for other types of error, ring flexibility worsened the load sharing. To improve load sharing, rim thickness and spline number should be controlled within a specific range. The minimum rim thickness limit should be determined considering not only the critical stress but also the load sharing. The effect of the ring gear boundary condition was more apparent in a system with errors than in a normal system.

  • 풍력발전기용 증속기는 유성기어시스템과 헬리컬기어(또는 스퍼기어) 쌍으로 구성된다. 본 연구에서는 AGMA2001 및 ISO281기준으로 설계된 기존 및 제안된 기어열로 구성된 기어트레인들에 대하여 동력전달 특성들을 비교 분석하였다. 기어트레인의 레이아웃 설계는 기어트레인의 총중량, 출력밀도, 99% 수명시간, 최대 기어 굽힘/면압응력이 산출되었다. 설계에 사용된 설계요구조건들은 블레이드 접선속도 40 ~ 100 m/s, 1000 ~ 1800 rpm 의 발전기 입력속도, 그리고 1 ~ 8 MW의 동력 범위이다. 따라서 본 연구에서 도출된 기어열의 특성들은 기어트레인의 고 신뢰성/초 경량화 설계에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

Study on the Vibration Characteristics of Yaw Gear System for Large-Capacity Offshore Wind Turbine

  • Vibration and noise must be considered to maximize the efficiency of a yaw system and reduce the fatigue load acting on a wind turbine. This study investigated a method for analyzing yaw-system vibration based on the change in the load-duration distribution (LDD). A substructure synthesis method was combined with a planetary gear train rotational vibration model and finite element models of the housing and carriers. For the vibration excitation sources, the mass imbalance, gear mesh frequency, and bearing defect frequency were considered, and a critical speed analysis was performed. The analysis results showed that the critical speed did not occur within the operating speed range, but a defect occurred in the bearing of the first-stage planetary gear system. It was found that the bearing stiffness and first natural frequency increased with the LDD load. In addition, no vibration occurred in the operating speed range under any of the LDD loads. Because the rolling bearing stiffness changed with the LDD, it was necessary to consider the LDD when analyzing the wind turbine vibration.

  • We have developed an active front steering system(AFS) with a planetary gear train, which can vary the steering gear ratio according to the vehicle speed and improve vehicle stability by superimposing steering angle. We conducted vehicle tests showing that co-operated control of AFS with ESP can improve vehicle stability by direct control of tire slip angle and that steering reaction torque during AFS intervention can be compensated by torque compensation using electric power steering.

풍력 발전기용 증속기의 유연 핀이 수명에 미치는 영향 연구 (Influence of Flexible Pin for Planets on Service Life of Wind Turbine Gearboxes)

  • 풍력발전기용 증속기의 유성기어열에서 한단 지지 캐리어에 유연 핀을 적용하여 유성 축과 유연 핀의 변형에 의한 자기 정렬 효과가 증속기 유성기어열의 수명에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 유성기어열의 하중 분배 효과를 분석하기 위하여 오일러 이론과 상용 프로그램을 이용하였다. 풍력발전기용 증속기에 한단 지지 캐리어와 유연 핀이 사용됨에 따라 유성기어의 미스얼라인먼트, 치면 하중분포 계수 및 요구수명이 만족할 만한 성능 향상을 가져왔으며, 특히 요구수명에 있어서 증속기가 요구하는 20년 보증 수명을 만족하는 것으로 확인되었다.
