This study aims to classify and find the characteristics of the housing floor plan by their spatial organization, the condition of use, the process of changes in Jeonju Hanok Village. To carry out this study, first the 534 in 779 housings in this village are investigated, and finally 55 of them are investigated and analyzed. They are surveyed and investigated from November in 2008 to January in 2010. The followings are as conclusions; The prototype of housing floor plan in this village is consisted of the main room in the middle part with the toimaru (wooden veranda), kitchen and meoribang (the room that is located back or the side of the main room) and kennen-bang (the room that is located the side of main room) in it's house. They are generated and changed on the basis of this type. The floor plans of the housings in Jeonju Hanok Villages are classified and characterized as the type of original floor plan house (original type), that of semi foreign house with the Korean style by the Japanese style or modern style, that of the house for rent a room or two rooms or one family, that of the house which mixed with commercial function and that of etc. They are generated by the social and economic condition of that period. And they will be studied with the life style of residents.
The post-war period has witnessed the emergence of new towns in a number of countries in Southeast Asia. New town development started in Malaysia with Petaling Jaya as a satellite town in 1953 to accommodate the rapid growing population of Kuala Lumpur. New towns have been designed in accordance with the British town planning principles, based on the modern ideal city. Nonetheless, they have constituted a regional character as they have incorporated local factors such as local technologies as well as site and climatic conditions. In the shaping of the new towns in modern cities, regulatory aspects have played important roles. The regulations decide the basic framework for planning of new town, block plan and unit plan. The ultimate goal of this study is to understand the identity of the new town planning of Malaysia. As a first step, we reviewed the local regulations, standards, and design guidelines which are applicable to the new town planning from the national land use to local plans. As a result, we categorized the guidelines into four areas: urban space, site plan, street system, block plan and unit plan. We expect this study to provide the framework of the Malaysia's new town planning from the perspective of the local regulations.

This study is based on the need to reform mixed use plan of school facilities considering the characteristics of depressed downtown area. It started with the object to make a plan by deducting function of place required and corresponded to the characteristics of depressed downtown area in Pohang city. As the result of researching present status and the characteristics of six elementary schools in Pohang which the number of student has decreased, it is found that they are required to have change in the region of depressed downtown area which have fallen behind and obsolete school facilities which idle classrooms have increased and to have reformations of a city are characterized by 5 types as poor life environment, lack of cultural facilities as community institution, poor open-space and ecological environment, non-activation of conventional market and contraction of commerce industry by outflow of industry, transfer of administration operation function and etc. and the region of school under researching shows these characteristics. I planed the mixed use program with factors of local community facility, status of school facility use and depressed area's characteristics. Finally, I propose the mixed use plan of school facilities as the strong point of sustainable development which influences on and be influenced by regional characteristics and structure of city.
The purpose of this study is to consider the socio-economic development and policy in each five-year economic development plan influences of urban households and to seek a plan of household stability and reasonable consumption expenditure on the aspect of Family economics. Data is based on the "Annual Report on the Family Income and Expenditure survey" of the National Bureau of Statistic Economic Planning Board, Republic of Korea and analyzed as follows: First, in analysis to the structure of consumption expenditure, the averaged percentage of each item to total consumption expenditure is estimated by each Economics Development Plan year. Second, in order to analyze the relative importance value of household consumption expenditure, priority correlation order is derived from comparison of characteristics of household consumption expenditures by multiple regression analysis. Third the patterns of consumption expenditure of salary and wage earner's households in all cities are estimated by the household consumption function, marginal propensity to consume, and income elasticity, according to socio-economic variable, and demographic variable. In the recent Korean economy, income level of household is increased and consumption expenditure level is largely increased because of the execution of economic development plan. But the improvement of income derives the increasment of the consumption needs and over-consumption trend is spread due to the import liberization. And above all, the reasonable household management and economic life are needed.

This study aimed to present a plan that introduces the concept of 'RURITAGE' into the 'Rural Convention' by analyzing the contents of the EU's 'RURITAGE' and the 'Rural Convention.' For this study, the contents and reports discussed on the 'RURITAGE' homepage were analyzed. Also, the applicability was reviewed by analyzing the 'Rural Convention' report and guideline. 'RURITAGE' was resources and heritage, currently possessed by the region rather than large-scale development. 'The Rural Convention' was intended to solve the problem of point-projects through mid-to-long-term planning, integrated support system for construction, and spatial analysis of rural spatial. It was also a policy to increase the satisfaction of the residents with the quality of life by guaranteeing a certain level of living services anywhere in the country. The 'Rural Spatial Strategic Plan' and 'Rural Living Area Revitalization Plan', included in 'the Rural Convention' are judged to be difficult to immediately introduce the concept of 'RURITAGE' due to the limitations of the projects that can implement projects. However, the notion of 'RURITAGE' can be reflected to 'Rural Spatial Maintenance Plan' seamlessly, which will be prepared in the 'Rural Living Area Revitalization Plan'.

With the continuous increase in demand for air transport services and the growth of the air transport industry, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and its member states are facing social demands to expand the capacity of the air transport system and improve the efficiency of its operation. ICAO developed the concept of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) for the purpose of solving problems related to the function and performance of the navigation system. Member countries established an implementation plan in accordance with the resolutionof the ICAO General Assembly, and South Korea established a Performance-Based Navigation implementation plan in December 2009. This paper evaluates the progress made so far based on Korea's Performance-Based Navigation implementation plan and proposes a development direction for Performance-Based Navigation based on changes in the international environment.
The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the Untied Nations' efforts for peace on Korean peninsular after CCF's participation in Korean War. The Untied Nation tried to negotiate th peace plan between two sides from the end of 1950. Once the CCF's entry into the war had been confirmed, the war situation moved to a new phase, and the UN forces, which had guided the war in an effort to destroy the NKP A forces, and to punish North Korea, had to set up new guidelines to cope with the new situation. Accordingly, in late November, 1950, the UN forces camp, mainly the US Joint Chiefs of Staff and the United Nations Command, discussed various options, such as an expansion of the war up to the Chinese territory, a cease fire along the 38th Parallel, or a forced and inevitable evacuation. The Korean delegation to the UN insisted that "the unification of Korea should be achieved only by victory in the war. The Chinese intervention in the war is a Challenge to the UN in the same way as the North Korean invasion. The UN participation in the war was to repulse the invasion. With the same spirit we should drive back the Chinese Communists." The Korean delegation also emphasized to the friendly nations the political objective and will of unification, and that a cease fire at a threshold of unification might return us to the status quo ante bellum, and would be contrary to the Korean nation's desire. At that time, particularly, the US strongly considered the employment of nuclear weapons as one of the new strategies to cope with the Chinese invasion. The international effects of these casual remarks were realized almost at once. The British Prime Minister who had not wanted the expansion of war in the Far East, especially from the view point of the interest of NATO's security, visited Washington. so the conference had a very important meaning for the UN forces' new strategy. On the other hand, at the UN, on the 5th of December, the very day Truman and Attlee agreed to seek a cease-fire under UN auspices, a group of thirteen Asian and Arab states proposed to ask China and North Korea not to cross the 38th Parallel, and sounded out both sides about a cease fire along the 38th Parallel. The United States and the United Kingdom gave their assent, but China and North Korea gave no direct response. The CCF, who were securing the initiative of operation, were not agreeable with the proposal of the UN forces. The Untied Nation has tried to negotiate th peace plan between two sides from the December of 1950 and January of 1951. The Untied Nations' has achieved great results to negotiate for the peace plan on Korean peninsular after CCF's participation in Korean War. It's the results considering both the operation situation and political opinions.
Over the past-decade of reform and opening up to the outside world, China#s GNP doubled which now ranks eighth in the world, making an average 9.6% increase annually. Some industrial products such as steel, crude oil and power generation rank fourth in the world, while output of coal and cement rank first. In the agricultural sector, China ranks first in the output of grain, cotton, meat and basically solved the problem of providing food and daily necessities for 22% of the world#s population, The Chinese government has set the objectives in environmental protection plan to be achieved by the year 2000 together with ecological protection. During the Seventh Pive-Year Plan(1985-90), Chains#s annual investment in controlling environment pollution was about 10 billion Yuan, or 0.7% of her GNP, while during the Eighth Five-Year Plan, effort will be made to increase such investments, in terms of the GNP, possibly to 0.85"1% . However, the expanding development including industrial production will increase large amounts of pollutants into the environment and efforts are underway to deal with these pollution. *대한위생학회장 Regional community are faced with serious environmental problems. For instance, so called# Yellow Sand Storm# from China is one of the case. Recently, to make matter worse, acid rain and dry depositation from transboundary air pollution is tend to increase mainly because of emissions from mainland China. Therefore, the countries concerned in the region, should seek to promote international cooperation on environmental issues. An overall aspects of development and environmental programs in China are presented.

The objective of this study is to define the plans of eco-friendly housing and the meaning of architectural imagination, and to classify diverse sources of the origins of architect's imagination to propose a desirable green housing plan. Generally, imagination which means the process of forming in the mind based on one's previous experience had been perceived negatively for a long time, however, today this perception has changed as new valuation that imagination is the only the motive of human being's behavior patterns comes out. Meanwhile, green design means planning the healthy life in the future by finding the way that people and environment can live together. In order to realize green design in our lives, some plans which concern environment, style, and alternative technology of housing. Especially, in interior design, not only by technology skills but also by green visual environment, eco-friendly houses exist. Therefore, this study examines several elements which gives green atmosphere into the house, and understands how architectural imagination comes out in eco-friendly housing design through verify some examples.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the architectural visual identity, and scheme of conceptional extent of architectural visual identity through literature research and sample analysis by design factors for apartment design. Korea National Housing Corporation's Mapo apartment put first caterer which is continued about 30 years to solve shortage of houses by beginning and the impact of IMF and the price decontrol on second half in the 1990s have changed the housing status to commercial goods. Construction companies have introduced brand concept to satisfy consumer's appetite in production of house goods including apartment under market situation. Importance of visual identity in apartment design occupies has risen in heftily. However most companies are in condition of stay on two-dimensional application that uses symbol, logotype, and character assistance. Several high position construction companies are trying architectural visual identity, but those are applied in partial element and those are not going forward to systematic classification and synthetic visual identity plan within peculiarity of apartment complex. This study is to grasp plan and design tendency to acquire identity of design element of construction field and goods through design examination. In conclusion visual identity in apartment design is architectural visual identity on all of 2 dimensions and 3 dimension for application. Architectural visual identity is a language of form that prescribe identity about external appearance in combination with brand image.
