The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of facing plan on store image and preference of young casual fashion store. The subjects were 545 male and female university students in Chungnam province. The measuring instruments were 7 stimuli manipulated by facing plan, an important VMD element, and self-administrated questionnaire consisted of store image, store preference and subject's demographic characteristics. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test, using SPSS program. The results were as follows. First, facing type significantly affected consumer' store image; folded type had more neat and elegant image than other facing types, and face out type had most comfort image, whereas sleeve out type had discomfort image. Second, arrangement of facing types also affected store image; style arrangement had more sophisticated image than color arrangement in sleeve out type, and vertical and horizontal arrangement had more neat, sophisticated, attractive and comfort image than separate arrangement in folded type. Third, facing type affected store preference; folded type showed higher store preference than sleeve out type. Forth, arrangement of folded type affected store preference; vertical and horizontal arrangement showed higher store preference than separate arrangement. Fifth, store image and preference were different by subject's sex; male subjects perceived style arrangement as more elegant, characteristic and attractive image, and showed higher store preference than female subjects on separate arrangement of folded type.
The purpose of this study was to search out an relativeness to the apartment housing unit plans and the unit plans of rural houses. Unit plans data were collected from housing registration records or field survey methods. 45 rural plans and 53 apartment plans were analyzed. The results were as follows; First, the floor planning characteristics of rural houses were 'ㅋ'type of floor plan shape, 2.5 or 3 bay arrangement, L-DK type of social space, and the front entrance. Second, the floor planning characteristics of apartment houses were '-'type of floor plan shape, 2 bay arrangement, L...DK type of social space, and the side or rear entrance. Third, 3 bay arrangement method of rural houses effected to apartment houses, and L...DK type of apartment houses effected to rural houses. Utility or balcony spaces of rural houses was inversely effected from apartment houses.

The purpose of this study was to find out tendencies in the planning characteristics focused on the community, single building, shared spaces and interior concept of apartment houses in Daejeon City, and to analyze these characteristics according to apartment unit floor plan based upon the arrangement of room, the type of main entrance, the type of LDK, anbang, kitchen, bathroom and the 3rd space. This study used the content analysis method and analysis was made on drawings and descriptions showing planning characteristics of apartment houses. Above all, 34 cases of apartment houses and 159 unit plans were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The most important characteristics of the direction of housing development was the "well-being" concept including greenzone and natural environment. The most mentioned community spaces were children's playgrounds and parks. The emphasized interior concepts were noble, well-being and natural concepts. 2) The most prominent front arrangement type was the 3-bay unit plan, front space arrangement was focused on rooms and, livingroom. The most prominent front space arrangement types were R/L/R, R/L/R/R and there is a new tendency towards KD/L/R/R. 3) The most prominent LDK floor plans were of the LDK type. The type of "Anbang" arrangement consisted mainly of room-bathroom-dressing room. The type of public bathroom arrangement consisted mainly of bathtub-toilet-washbasin and the "Anbang" bathroom arrangement was shower-booth-toilet-washbasin.

The purpose of this study is to classify the building layout and plan types according to the urban location, use and function of civil and to analyze the characteristics by the type classified. After constructing a framework (Mathia type, Nagaya type, Detached House type) for analyzing Modern Private Housing Architecture in Gunsan, the research was conducted on 30 representative buildings, and a plot plan, a floor plan and elevation were created. After analyzing the relationship between the lot of land and the urban street, we classified the type of arrangement into Mathia type and Nagaya type which directly enter the building from the road, and derived the Detached House type which indirectly enters from the road. When we look at the use of the derived arrangement types, most of the Mathia type are commercial and residential buildings, and some of them are specially designed for commercial buildings. The Nagaya type appears in the form of commercial and residential house or residential private house, and the Detached House type is classified as residential style. As a relation with the urban street, the Mathia type and the Nagaya type are generally located on the main urban street, whereas the Detached House type is located on the small urban street. As a result of analyzing, the floor plan was changed according to the plot plan. The plan of the Mathia and Nagaya type are arranged to enter directly from the street, with commercial space being mainly located on the street, and the residential space being composed on the back or the second floor. the plan of the Detached House is a type that enters indirectly into the interior through a separate space (Courtyard), and forms an organic space between the residential interior and the front and rear yard. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Characteristics of a plot plan and a floor plan of Modern Private Housing Architecture in Gunsan by means of analysis considering the urban street, Uses of buildings, Construction method and the yard through actual measurement.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Characteristic of Block Plans related to site types of Elementary Schools in Kangju city. With analysis of 17 elementary school plans, we reached same conclusions. First, there is a possibility of seeing 4 examples that contiguity road condition and proportion of site, neighborhood park location, district units planning, which as classification the condition to feature of location. But the condition which is considered actually from Block Plan appeared with only contiguity road condition and district units planning two onlines. Second, despite there are elements having the possibility effecting to Block Plan, some arrangement forms are repeatedly used. There is a possibility of searching for that cause that it falls in mannerism of space form, type and place when it follows the arrangement form of existing defined as school.

This study attempted quantitative analysis by space syntax on the plan of a non-hierarchical arrangement, which selected SANAA's work after Almere Stadt Theater, and analyzed the difference in the quantitative value of the non-hierarchical arrangement in plan that appears externally. The analysis results were as follows. First, SANAA's spaces with a non-hierarchical arrangement plan that appears externally showed a definite quantitative value difference, and had a hierarchical space difference in the plan that does not appear externally. Second, the spaces with a high integration value also had a high connectivity value, which is indicated by increasing the number of space openings using the method of giving hierarchy to the non-hierarchical arrangement plan or adjusting the size of the room or location to grant hidden hierarchy. Third, SANAA used exterior corridor rather than interior corridor in grid-type plan to solve the accessibility problem, and the open coat spaces between rooms provide natural lighting and ventilation and are used as equipment that controls the hidden hierarchy of space at the same time.

Purpose: To improve and establish functions for public health centers in rural public, an analysis will be done on arrangement plan and area by function for public health centers in farming and fishing villages. After finding out this relationship and architectural characteristics, spatial organization and area ratio for providing efficient medical service and the relationship between the two will be examined. Methods: 8 of them were selected and site visit and interview with the person in charge were conducted to investigate the current status. The drawings collected for analysis were input as CAD data and schematized. The relationship between the arrangement type and area for the public health centers in farming and fishing villages was analyzed and based on this, an analysis was done on agricultural scale and characteristics, and putting these analyzed results together, an appropriate method of improvement was proposed for spatial organization by function for public health centers in farming and fishing villages and to provide efficient service. Results: Firstly, the Plan types found in the public health centers in farming and fishing villages could be classified into three including single-type, multiple-type and radial-type. Secondly, according to an analysis of areas by function, in the case of treatment function, there was a difference in the area ration for selective treatment. This ratio is considered to be greatly influenced by the project each public health center focuses on. Thirdly, I could become aware of the relationship between spatial organization and area ratio based on the analysis of arrangement and area derived above. Implication: As the data to refer to in future research on spatial organization for public health centers, if the object of analysis becomes more expanded and investigated, it will be utilized in detail for spatial planning of public health centers, thereby being expected to contribute to more efficient and qualitatively enhanced medical service provided by public health centers.
The purpose of this study is to grasp the spatial characteristic of the unit plan for a Super-High-Rise-Residence. This study is focused on the open air contact sides for a tower type Super-High-Rise-Residence. A tower type Super-High-Rise-Residence which has open air contacts from 1 to 3.5 sides differed in spatial characteristics of the unit plan for other apartment units. The current study analyzed 188 unit plans for the size of 40 pyong or larger in Seoul and the metropolitan areas which have been built since 1990. Open air contact side was classified as under 2 sides, 2 sides, and over 2 sides. The unit plan which belong to each open air contact side was Investigated according to the location of public area, the relationship between livingroom and master bedroom, and a method of entry to the master bedroom. The results of this study are as follow: According to increase open air contact sides is changed the location of public area in unit plan from an typical arrangement to various arrangement. Also the relationship between livingroom and master bedroom becomes loose and in a method of entry to the master bedroom increase an indirect approach through other room.
The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics of floor plan of $85m^2$-sized housing units with 2-bay and 3-bay and the residents' satisfaction with them. The subjects for analyzing floor plan were six floor plans of $85m^2$-sized housing units with 2-bay and nine floor plans of housing units with 3-bay in the new town, Hwamyeong-dong, in Busan. The floor plans were analyzed based on seven characteristics of floor plans such as the composition type of entrance core hall, the entrance arrangement, width and depth of the housing unit, size of each room, LDK arrangement, arrangement of family bathroom and private bathroom for husband and wife, and balcony arrangement. The subjects for grasping satisfaction with each housing unit were 400 residents of $85m^2$-sized housing units. A half of them lived in housing units with 2-bay and another half of them with 3-bay in the same area. They answered about the degree of satisfaction with the characteristics of each room and the preferred floor plan type if they move to the same size housing units through a questionnaire. The results were as follows; First, the floor plan with 3-bay had more diverse elements than one with 2-bay. Second, the residents who lived in 3-bay housing unit were younger, higher education, and higher income than the ones in 2-bay. Third, the residents who lived in $85m^2$-sized housing unit were more satisfied with and preferred to 3-bay housing units than 2-bay one.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the state of the living arrangement plan, the housing plan, and economic plan for elderly's life and contributing factors to their life plan. The sample in this study consisted of 713 middle-aged and aged couple living in Korea. Statistics employed for the analysis were frequencies, means, x2 test, logit analysis and multiple regression. The results could be summarized as follows. The middle-aged and aged couple were planning to live independently in their elderly life. The husband's age, religion, living area, total income, total asset, home owenership had significant effects on the living arrangement of the middle-aged and aged. They had a plan to live in single detached house in their elderly life. And husband's age, educational attaintment, job, and living region were affecting the housing type in their elder life. The middle-aged and aged people had a economic plan that they estimated 970,000 won as living cost in their elderly life. And the factors affecting living costs were husband's educational attaintment, job, and total asset.
