  • This paper presents a binary clustering network (BCN) and a heuristic algorithm to detect pitch for recognition of keywords in continuous speech. In order to classify nonlinear patterns, BCN separates patterns into binary clusters hierarchically and links same patterns at root level by using the supervised learning and the unsupervised learning. BCN has many desirable properties such as flexibility of dynamic structure, high classification accuracy, short learning time, and short recall time. Pitch Detection algorithm is a heuristic model that can solve the difficulties such as scaling invariance, time warping, time-shift invariance, and redundance. This recognition algorithm has shown recognition rates as high as 95% for speaker-dependent as well as multispeaker-dependent tests.

  • Fetal monitoring is a routine procedure to obtain a record of physiologic functions during pregnancy and labor. It is required to determine fetal heart frequency accurately. There are various types of fetal heart rate(FHR) determination and the most frequently applied method is transabdominal Doppler ultrasound. However, in the case of weak or noise corrupted Doppler ultrasound signals, conventional peak detections and the autocorrelation function method have many difficulties to determine FHR precisely. Also the autocorrelation function is effected by threshold level and window size. To solve these problems, the high resolution pitch determination algorinthm is introduced to detect FHR from Doppler ultrasound signals. This scheme digitally processes Doppler ultrasound signal for digital rectification, envelope detection, decimation and correlation calculation of two interconnected segments and then FHR is determined by its maximal value. Even in the case of a greatly smeared noise signal, this algorithm is able to search FHR more accurately than autocorrelation function by means of compensating FHR with a constant correlation threshold. This algorithm is simulated by 386-MATLAB on PC 486/DX and verified that it is superior to the autocorrelation function method.

선저고정형 소나의 탐지성능 향상을 위한 빔 안정화 빔형성 기법 (Beam Stabilization Beamforming Technique for Hull-Mounted Sonar Performance Enhancement)

  • Hull-Mounted Sonar(HMS) has been the main equipment to detect and track underwater threats like torpedoes and enemy submarines. The HMS has short warming-up time and is employable independently with sea-state and weather condition. But these bad environmental condition and ship maneuvering make ship's roll and pitch. Ship's roll and pitch make unstability of sensor position, then cause degradation of the HMS performance. In this paper, we will show how the unstability influences the HMS performance, propose the 'Beam Stabilization Beamforming Technique' to overcome these phenomenon. And present the effectiveness of proposed technique by comparing with conventional beamforming result.

초음파를 이용한 CFRP 복합재의 일방향 비파괴 평가 (One-Sided Nondestructive Evaluation of CFRP Composites By Using Ultrasonic Sound)

  • It is well known that stiffness of composites depends on layup sequence of CFRP(carbon fiber reinforced plastics) laminates because the layup of composite laminates influences their properties. Ultrasonic NDE of composite laminates is often based on the backwall echoes of the sample. A pair of such transducers was mounted in a holder in a nose-to-nose fashion to be used as a scanning probe on composites. Miniature potted angle beam transducers were used (Rayleigh waves in steel) on solid laminates of composites. Experiments were performed to understand the behavior of the transducers and the nature of the waves generated in the composite (mode, wave speed, angle of refraction). C-scan images of flaws and impact damage were then produced by combining the pitch-catch probe with a portable manual scanner known as the Generic Scanner ("GenScan"). The pitch-catch signal was found to be more sensitive than normal incidence backwall echo of longitudinal wave to fiber orientation of the CFRP composites, including low level porosity, ply waviness, and cracks. Therefore, it is found that the experimentally Rayleigh wave variation of pitch-catch ultrasonic signal was consistent with numerical results and one-side ultrasonic measurement might be very useful to detect the defects.

고음질 음성합성을 위한 LSP를 이용한 피치검출 성능향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pitch Extraction Improvement Using LSP for the Synthesis of High Speech Quality)

  • 본 논문에서는 스펙트럼 신호를 최대한 평탄화시킴으로써 포만트의 영향을 제거하고 고조파 성분을 분리해 내어 이를 피치검출에 사용한다. 스펙트럼 신호로부터 포만트의 영향과 천이진폭의 영향을 제거하기 위해 주파수 대역을 LSP(Line Spectrum Pair)를 기준으로 서브밴드로 나누고 각각의 서브밴드에서 기울기를 취한 후에 역기울기로 스펙트럼을 보상한다. 실험 결과 제안한 방법이 LPC법, Lifter법, Cepstrum법을 이용하여 평탄화시킬 때 보다 평탄화 정도가 좋아짐을 알 수 있다. 또한 제안한 방법 이외에 가장 양호한 성능을 나타낸 LPC법을 이용하여 피치를 구했을 때 제안한 방법의 조오율이 평균 1.30% 감소하였다. 또한 제안한 방법은 잡음을 부가한 음성의 경우에도 낮은 에러율을 보여 배경잡음에 강하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • In a large number of words and the continued speech recognition system using a phoneme as teh recognition unit, it is necessary to segment processing. In this paper, a normalized AMDF new method. The suggested parameter represents a degree of sharpness at valley point. This method can detect the speech segment between the steady state and transient region to the continued speech without a prior information of speech signal.

  • Measurement of straightness errors (vertical, horizontal),and angular error (roll, pitch, yaw) have been classified as difficult tasks in the machine tool metrology field. In this paper, computer aided measurement techniques are proposed using quadrant type photo pin diode. In the developed system, three photo diodes are mounted on the positioning table to detect the five degrees of movement error simultaneously. Outputs from the photo diode are analyzed in the computer and are displayed graphically.

  • We implementated an ultrasonic wave cane for the blind. The cane detect walking obstacle and provide a walking direction. The cane used time of flight method of ultrasonic-wave for a measurement of obstacle distance and fluxgate geomagnetic sensor for guidance of walking direction. This system can detect an obstacle of upward, forward, downward and that warn to the blind with vibration, pitch sound. And the blind can know walking direction to voice output. As a result, the blind could efficiently avoid a exposed obstacle, obstacles beyond knee, an exposed street obstacle, a branch of tree person's height and it is usable search for surrounding land mark.

Four Degree-of-Freedom Geometric Error Measurement System with Common-Path Compensation for Laser Beam Drift

  • A precision four-degree-of-freedom measurement system has been developed for simultaneous measurement of four motion errors of a linear stage, which include straightness and angular errors, The system employs a retro-reflector to detect the straightness errors and a plane mirror to detect the angular errors. A common-path compensation method for laser beam drift is put forward, and the experimental results show that the influences of beam drift on four motion errors can be reduced simultaneously. In comparison with the API 5D laser measuring system, the accuracy for straightness measurement is about ${\pm}1.5{\mu}m$ within the measuring range of ${\pm}650{\mu}m$, and the accuracy for pitch and yaw measurements is about ${\pm}1.5$ arc-seconds within the range of ${\pm}600$ arc-seconds.

데이터 증강기법을 이용한 음성 위조 공격 탐지모형의 성능 향상에 대한 연구 (Data augmentation in voice spoofing problem)

  • 본 논문에서는 음성위조공격탐지(Voice spoofing detection) 문제에 데이터 증강을 적용한다. ASVspoof 2017은 리플레이 공격 탐지에 대해 다루며 진짜 사람의 음성과 환경이나 녹음·재생 장치의 조건들을 다르게 하여 위조한 가짜 음성을 분류하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 지금까지 이미지 데이터에 대한 데이터 증강 연구가 활발히 이루어졌으며 음성에도 데이터 증강을 시도하는 여러 연구가 진행되어왔다. 하지만 음성 리플레이 공격에 대한 데이터 증강시도는 이루어지지 않아 본 논문에서는 데이터 증강기법을 통한 오디오 변형이 리플레이 공격 탐지에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 탐구해본다. 총 7가지의 데이터 증강기법을 적용해보았으며 그 중 DVC, Pitch 음성 증강기법이 성능향상에 도움되었다. DVC와 Pitch는 기본 모델 EER의 약 8% 개선을 보여주었으며, 특히 DVC는 57개의 환경변수 중 일부 환경에서 눈에 띄는 정확도 향상이 있었다. 가장 큰 폭으로 증가한 RC53의 경우 DVC가 기본 모델 정확도의 약 45% 향상을 이끌어내며 기존에 탐지하기 어려웠던 고사양의 녹음·재생 장치를 잘 구분해냈다. 본 연구를 토대로 기존에 증강기법의 효과에 대한 연구가 이루어지지 않았던 음성 위조 탐지 문제에서 DVC, Pitch 데이터 증강기법이 성능 향상에 도움이 된다는 것을 알아내었다.
