  • In this paper, we propose the PingPong-128(PP-128) keystream generator, based on summation generator. Proposed PingPong-128, a specific cipher of the PingPong Family, takes 128 bits key and 128 bit initial vector, has 258 bit internal state, and achieves a security level of 128 bits. The security analysis of PingPong-128 is presented, including the resistence to known attacks against the summation generator and other clock-controlled generators.

  • Nowadays, authentication is essential to identify the legal users in a network communication. Usually, there are few wars to achieve authentication over a publicly accessible network system in order to protect certain private data from the unauthorized users, ranging from simple ID/Password to Biometrics System. One of the most active areas in OTP(One Time Password) research today aims at exploiting OTP to provide authentication in the finance and security industry. OTP is usually discarded once it has been used. this prevents huge loophole of traditional authentication system which employs the same ID and Password every time. However this OTP system also has its weaknesses in surviving some attacks. this paper proposes an advanced OTP protocol using PingPong-128 without loop hole of pre-existing OTP.

  • In the internet communication technology, authentication of the user is main task. So far, very popular researches have been proposed for user authentications based on user_id and password. These existing methods have some merits as well as demerits also. In this paper, we analyzed the existing authentication method problems and implement a secure PingPong-128 based key generator for internet technology. In our new scheme, we are using one time password and security card numbers to generate the secure tokens for the user and internet service provider.

  • Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are an emerging technology and offers economically viable monitoring solution to many challenging applications. However, deploying new technology in hostile environment, without considering security in mind has often proved to be unreasonably unsecured. Apparently, security techniques face many critical challenges in WSNs like data security and secrecy due to its hostile deployment nature. In order to resolve security in WSNs, we propose a novel and efficient secure framework called TriSec: a secure data framework for wireless sensor networks to attain high level of security. TriSec provides data confidentiality, authentication and data integrity to sensor networks. TriSec supports node-to-node encryption using PingPong-128 stream cipher based-privacy. A new PingPong-MAC (PP-MAC) is incorporated with PingPong stream cipher to make TriSec framework more secure. PingPong-128 is fast keystream generation and it is very suitable for sensor network environment. We have implemented the proposed scheme on wireless sensor platform and our result shows their feasibility.

  • In this paper, we study and develope a special secure Dongle to be adapted in GSM SmartPhone for secure voice communication to the serial 20-pin connector in SmartPhone. We design and implement the Dongle module hardware, firmware, and software including cipher crypto-synchronization and cipher algorithm. Also we study and emulate the SmartPhone GUI software interface including communication software module to the Dongle. Finally, we analyze the performances of crypto-synchronization in some noisy environment and also we test the secure Dongle module.

  • The purpose of this paper is to discover how the use of digital applications can affect students' attitudes toward positive classroom participation and performance in learning a foreign language. Participants of this study were 128 students who took a foreign language class at a high school in central Korea. To find out students' perceptions and attitudes toward the effect of using a digital application for their foreign language study, online questionnaire and focus-group interview were conducted. Our research findings revealed that these students could engage in active language learning and experience learning improvement while studying a foreign language with digital applications. The improvement was possible by creating more interactive activities and quizzes. In addition, the digital application provided students immediate feedback. It gave students and teachers various motivations beyond the traditional 'chalk and talk' format of text-only-classes. This study provides an overview of the usefulness of digital application. In addition, it provides understanding for students' perceptions and involvement using digital application in a foreign language classroom.
