연직천연섬유배수재를 이용한 연약지반 개량 (Soil Improvement using Vertical Natural Fiber Drains)

  • 친환경배수재에 대한 현장 적용성을 평가하기 위해 연직배수재와 수평배수재 설치 조합으로 현장시험시공을 수행하였다. 본 시험시공에서는 기존의 천연섬유배수재(FDB)와 새로 개발한 볏짚배수재(SDB) 그리고 플라스틱배수재(PDB)를 연직배수재로 설치하였으며, 화이버매트와 샌드매트를 수평배수재로 사용하였다. 볏짚배수재(SDB) 설치지역을 제외하고는 플라스틱배수재(PDB)와 천연섬유배수재(FDB) 설치 지역에서 측정한 지표침하발생속도와 과잉간극수압 발생/소산 양상은 거의 유사한 것으로 나타났으며, 1차 압밀방치기간동안 측정된 상부 연약층의 콘관입저항력도 설치된 연직배수재 종류와 상관없이 일정하게 증가한 것으로 나타나 천연섬유배수재가 기존의 플라스틱이나 모래재료를 대체할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

직접분사식 압축착화엔진에서 DME의 2단 분사전략에 따른 엔진연소 및 배기특성에 관한 연구 (An Investigation for 2-stage Injection Strategy on Combustion and Emissions in a D.I Compression-ignition Engine Fueled with DME)

  • This work was investigated 2-stage injection strategy on combustion and emissions in a direct injection compression-ignition engine fueled with DME. Single cylinder engine was equipped with common rail. Injection pressure was 700bar, dSOI between the main injection and the pilot injection was varied. Diesel was used as compared fuel of DME in all cases. The results was shown that maximum pressure was higher than all cases and its amount of DME and diesel was similar. Regardless the pilot injection, the main fuel injection timing was same. The heat release rate of the main injection for diesel was high while that of pilot injection for DME was high. The THC was very low regardless of the fuel type and injection strategy. In the single injection, NOx was increased to retard of main injection timing regardless of the fuel type. NOx emissions was decreased with the retardation of the main injection timing regardless of the fuel type in the case of 2-stage injection strategy.

상수관망 파일럿플랜트에서의 누수실험 및 누수탐지 알고리즘의 적용 (Leakage experiments and applications of leakage detection algorithm in the pilot plant of water distribution system)

  • 본 연구에서는 상수관망의 최적 수압모니터링 지점선정 알고리즘과 역추적 계산법을 이용한 누수탐지 알고리즘을 개발하였고 파일럿 플랜트에서 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 먼저 누수탐지를 위한 최적의 모니터링 지점선정을 선정하고 압력계를 설치하여 누수로 인한 압력변위를 측정하였다. 누수탐지를 위한 역추적계산법의 검증을 위하여 누수탐지를 수행하였고 파일럿플랜트에서 실제 재현된 누수의 지점과 누수량을 정확하게 산정하였다. 누수량을 $0.0005m^3/s$로부터 $0.0018m^3/s$까지 변화시키며 누수를 재현하였고 누수지점에 근접한 장소를 찾는데 성공하였다. 본 연구에서는 실험을 통해서 누수탐지기법으로 사용된 역추적계산법이 유효함을 검증할 수 있었다.

  • Gasification has been regarded as a very important technology to decrease environmental pollution and to obtain higher efficiency. The gasification process converts carbon containing feedstock into a synthesis gas, composed primarily of CO and $H_2$. And the synthesis gas can be used as a source for power generation or chemical material production. Through more than nine years, IAE developed and upgraded several gasification/melting pilot plant system, and obtained a good quality synthesis gas. This paper illustrates the gasification characteristics and operation results of two 3 ton/day synthesis gas production facilities. One is entrained-bed slagging type coal gasifier system which is normally operated in the temperature range of $1,400\~1,450^{\circ}C,\;8\~10$ bar pressure. And the other is fixed-bed type gasification/melting furnace system using MSW and industrial wastes as a feedstock.

Pilot-scale의 코크스 오븐에서 석탄 건류시 팽창압 특성 (Characteristics of Coking Pressure during Coal Carbonization in Pilot-scale Coke Oven)

  • 코크스 오븐에서 석탄 건류과정 중에 발생하는 석탄 중심의 가스압 특성에 대한 장입탄 수분, 가열속도 및 일반탄 배합비의 영향을 조사하기 위해 이동벽이 있는 pilot 규모의 코크스 오븐(0.45mW$\times$0.1mH$\times$1.2mL)에서 석탄 건류 실험을 수행하였다. 석탄 중심에서의 가열속도가 상업용 코크스 오븐과 비슷한 건류조건에서 장입탄 수분을 감소시켰을 때, 수분 증발 이후 가열속도는 비슷하였으며, 건류 초기 수증기압은 크게 증가하였고, 석탄 중심에서의 가스압은 습탄에 비해 대략 2.5배 증가하였다. 석탄 중심에서의 가열속도가 상업용 코크스 오븐보다 훨씬 빠른 건류조건에서 장입탄 수분을 감소시켰을 때, 수분 증발 이후 가열속도는 크게 감소하였고, 건류 초기 수증기압은 크게 증가하였으며, 석탄중심에서의 가스압은 습탄에 비해 대략 2배 증가하였다. 석탄 가열속도가 상업용 오븐보다 빠른 건류조건에서 장입탄에 일반탄을 첨가하여 일반탄 배합비를 증가시켰을 때 배합탄 중심에서의 가스압은 현저히 감소하였다.

The entrained-bed pilot scale coal gasifier was operated normally in the temperature range of $1,300{\sim}1,400^{\circ}C,\;2{\sim}3kg/cm^2$ pressure. And Indonesian KPC coal produced syngas that has a composition of $46{\sim}54%\;CO,\;20{\sim}26%\;H_2,\;and\;5{\sim}8%\;CO_2$.

  • In this paper, the effects of water contents on combustion characteristics of paper sludge and capacity of fluidized bed combustor(FBC) were investigated using 0.26m diameter, 1.75m height pilot-plant scale combustor. Combustion tests of paper sludge containing water contents between 40wt% and 50wt% were performed. The temperature and emission variation, the pressure inside combustor were measured to monitor the fluidization quality. The experimental results showed that 30kg/hr feeding rate of sludge containing water up to 45wt% was preferable for this system. Sludge loading rate, heat release rate were calculated from experimental data as major parameters showing FBC capacity. Comparsion with sludge loading rate from other source was also performed

  • The long term drag reduction characteristics of Habon-G solution were investigated in the KIER pilot-scaled district heating simulation system. Test runs were implemented for 30 days without interruption. Pressure drop, flow rate and power consumption of surfactant (Habon-G) solution were regularly observed and compared with those of plain water. The experimental results suggest that the surfactant can be effectively applied to the DH transmission system for considerably long period wthout significant loss of its drag reduction capability even though the concentration of the additive may gradually decrease in the first stage of the experiment because of absorption.

  • Dual-fuel engines are being researched with emphasis on the possible types of natural gas supply systems. Hence, a three-dimensional combustion model by using finite volume method was developed to provide a fundamental understanding of the auto-ignition of pilot distillate and subsequent burning of natural gas, when the natural gas as well as the distillate was directly injected into a quiescent diesel engine like combustion bomb tests and the numerical results were investigated for the mixed combustion phenomena. With high-pressure natural gas injection, it was found that the gaseous fuel injection characteristics had to be well harmonised with that of the pilot distillate. For better combustion efficiency, however, further researches are required for the optimisation of injection system in the existence of air motion.
