CO2냉매용 제어밸브의 응답 특성 (Transient Response Analysis of a Control Valve for CO2 Refrigerant)

  • Pilot operated control valve for $CO_2$ refrigerant is a valve that can perform various functions according to the user's intention by replacing pilot units, widely used for flow rate, pressure, and temperature control of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. In addition, $CO_2$ refrigerant, that requires high pressure and low critical temperature, can be installed and used in all positions of the refrigeration system, regardless of high or low pressure. In this paper, response characteristics are modeled and analyzed based on behavior of the main piston of the pilot-operated control valve. Although various factors influence operation of the main piston, this paper analyzes the effect of equilibrium pressure depending on valve installation position and application, and inlet and outlet orifice size of the load pressure feedback chamber to determine feedback characteristics of the main piston. As a result, it was possible to quantitatively analyze the effect of change in equilibrium and load pressure feedback chamber flow path size on the change in main piston dynamic and static characteristics.

사판식 액셜피스톤 펌프-레귤레이터계의 선형화해석에 의한 유압제어특성 고찰 (A Study on Hydraulic Control Characteristics of a Swashplate Type Axial Piston Pump-Regulator System by Linearization Analysis)

  • The regulator system has been modeled and combined to a swashplate type axial piston pump. Linear approximation has been performed for nonlinear coefficient terms of an axial piston pump-regulator model without significantly affecting accuracy. Based on the mathematical model of an axial piston pump-regulator system, a couple of characteristic curves of negative flow control and horsepower control are drawn, which show a good correlation with those of experimental results. So the simplified axial piston pump-regulator model in this paper is expected to be utilized not only for the design and analysis of hydraulic circuit of excavator but also for prevention of engine overload.

  • A swash plate-type piston pump is a device used to discharge hydraulic fluid as the volume generated through the piston moves in the direction of the slope by adjusting the angle of its swash plate. In addition, the valve block internalized in the pump includes a flow path for intake from outside, a flow path for discharge, and a pilot conduit line to control discharge pressure and flux. In this study, a numerical analysis is conducted to improve the cracking of the valve block generated during process testing, and the developed pump is evaluated.

  • The closed circuit pump is applied to control rotating speed and direction of hydraulic motor in hydrostatic transmission. To development of this pump, first of all the servo control regulator has to be designed. Mechanical-hydraulic type servo control mechanism is excellent to be compared with electronic-hydraulic type servo control valve to reliability and economy. In this paper to development positive and negative variable displacement type servo regulator, the hydro-mechanical servo control mechanism is calculated and designed with force balance of pilot piston and position feedback of servo piston.

Simulation on Hydraulic Control Characteristics of Regulator System in Bent-Axis Type Piston Pump

  • Variable displacement axial piston pumps are widely used for raising the energy level of the fluid in hydraulic systems. And the regulator is the device which regulates the discharge flow of the piston pump by controlling the swivel angle. The regulator receives the hydraulic pilot pressure and controls the pump output flow depending on the machine load and engine speed. This work deals with constant power control (horsepower control) in the design of a regulator by using a bent-axis type piston pump. In order to effectively use engine power, we must keep the horsepower from the engine to the pump constant. Therefore the regulator operates the constant power control. As a result, optimum power usage is obtained by accurately following the power hyperbola. This study focused on developing a simulation model of a regulator. First, the governing equations of the regulator are derived, and analysis is performed by computer simulation, which can identify significant parameters of regulator. As a result, the variation of the swivel angle, flow rate, hyperbolic curve, inner leakage and responsibility are simulated, and significant parameters of a regulator are identified.

Low-Band Type 능동형 현가제어를 위한 직동식 전자비례 감압밸브의 개발 (Development of a Direct-Operated Proportional Pressure Reducing Valve for Low-Band Type Active Suspension Control)

  • In general direct-operated pressure reducing valves have been gardly applied to a dynamic control system such as active suspension control because of their poor control stability. But they are more robust than pilot-operated type and do not need pilot control flow. In this paper development of a new direct-operated proportional pressure reducing valve for low-band type active suspension control is reported. By means of a special damper directly linked to the valve spool, the control stability could be effectively improved without drawback in response time. The linearity error was less than $\pm$3.5%. Applied to an experimental active suspension system the new valve showed the $-90^{\circ}$ phase delay at 4Hz with 20% sinusoidal signal input and could control the suspension system with almost same performance as that with a pilot-operated type valve.

회전익 항공기 구조건전성 향상을 위한 주륜착륙장치 결함 개선연구 (The Study on Improvement about Structural Integrity of Main Landing Gear for Rotorcraft)

  • 착륙장치는 회전익 항공기 및 탑승 병력의 생명을 보호해야 하는 고도의 안전성이 요구되는 주요 구성품으로 이/착륙 시 충격을 흡수하고 지상에서 활주 및 계류 시 동체를 지지한다. 특히 항공기 동체를 지지하는 주륜 착륙장치는 지면으로부터 시작되는 충격을 완충장치와 타이어를 통해 대부분 흡수하는 역할을 수행하게 되는데, 이를 통해 항공기에 탑승한 조종사의 안전을 보장하고, 임무 수행 간 병력의 작전 운용능력을 만족시킨다. A 기종 회전익 항공기 운용 중에, 우측 주륜 착륙장치 구성품인 피스톤 핀(Piston Pin)이 다수 파손된 것이 확인되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 주륜 착륙장치에서 발견된 피스톤 핀(Piston Pin) 균열 현상에 대한 근본적인 원인을 찾기 위해, 파면 분석에서부터 비행 시험을 통한 착륙 하중 해석에 이르기까지 다양한 원인 규명 방법을 모색하였다. 특히 개발 당시 피스톤 핀에 적용되었던 드래그 빔(Drag beam) 구성품과의 체결 토크에 대한 영향성을 토대로 균열 발생 가능성들에 대한 분석을 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 피로 수명과 구조건전성을 확보할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

VLM-ST 공정의 완전 자동화를 위한 2단계 절단 경로 데이터 생성 방법에 관한 연구 (Generation of Cutting Path Data for Two Steps of the Cutting Process in Full- Automated VLM-ST)

  • A novel rapid prototyping (RP) process, a full-automated transfer type variable lamination manufacturing process (Full-automated VLM-ST) has been developed. In the full-automated VLM-ST process, a vacuum chuck and a rectilinear motion system transfer the EPS foam material in the form of the plate with two pilot holes to the rotary supporting stage. The supplied material is then cut into an automated unit shape layer (AUSL) with a desired width, a desired length, a desired slope on the side surface, and a pair of reference shapes, which is called the guide shape (GS)’, including two pilot holes in accordance with CAD data through cutting in two steps using a four-axis synchronized hotwire cutter. Then, each AUSL is stacked by setting each AUSL with two pilot holes in the building plate with two pilot pins, and subsequently, adhesive is applied onto the top surface of the stacked AUSL by a bonding roller and pressure is simultaneously given to the bottom surface of the stacked AUSL. Finally, three-dimensional shapes are rapidly and automatically fabricated. This paper describes the method to generate guide shapes in AUSL data for the full-automated VLM-ST process. In order to examine the applicability of the method to generate guide shapes, three-dimensional shapes, such as a piston shape and a human head shape, are fabricated from the full-automated VLM-ST apparatus.

파일럿형 압력 릴리프 밸브의 최적설계 (An Optimal Design of pilot type relief valve by Genetic Algorithm)

  • In this study, a novel systematic design procedure by Genetic Algorithm of a two stage relief valve is proposed. First of all, a mathematical model describing the dynamics of a balanced piston type relief valve has been derived. Governing equations such as dynamic equations for the main spool and the pilot spool and flow equations for each orifice are established. The mathematical model is verified by comparing the results of simulation with that of experiments. Furthermore, influences of the parameters on the dynamic characteristics of a relief valve have been investigated by simulation of the proposed model. Major design parameters on the valve response are determined, which affect the system response significantly. And then, using the determined parameters, the optimization of the two stage relief valve by Genetic Algorithm, which is a random search algorithm can find the global optimum without converging local optimum, is performed. The optimal design process of a two stage relief valve is presented to determine the major design parameters. Fitness function reflects the changing pressure according to parameters. It is shown that the genetic algorithms satisfactorily optimized the major design parameters of the two stage relief valve.

디젤 연료 온도에 따른 분무 발달 특성 (Characteristics of the Spray Development with Diesel Fuel Temperatures)

  • 본 연구에서는 디젤 연료 온도에 따른 실제 분사되는 연료량, 분사율 그리고 거시적 분무 발달 과정에 대한 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 시험 결과 동일한 분사 시작 신호 및 분사 기간 신호를 입력하였음에도 불구하고, 연료 온도가 낮아짐에 따라 실제 연료 분사량이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 분사율 측정 결과를 통해 연료 온도가 낮은 조건에서 실제 분사 시작 시점이 지연되며, 실제 분사가 유지되는 기간이 짧아지는 것을 확인하였으며, 이를 통해 실제 분사되는 연료량 저감에 대한 근거를 찾을 수 있었다. 거시적 분무 이미지 촬영 결과를 연료 온도 별 분무 도달 거리로 표현하여 비교 하였으며, 낮은 연료 온도 조건에서 분무 미립화 성능 악화로 인해 분무 도달 거리가 길어지는 것을 확인하였다. 저온 조건에서의 연소 개선을 위해 향후 시도할 선행 평가로서 피스톤 타켓팅 평가를 수행하였으며, 이른 시기에 분사되는 파일럿 연료가 크레비스 영역으로 유입되는 것을 확인하였으며, 이를 통해 파일럿 분사 방식 적용 시 연료량 분배 및 분사 시기 선정이 매우 중요한 인자가 됨을 파악하였다.
