원형 경량 압전 복합재료 작동기를 이용한 마이크로 펌프의 개발 (Development of Micropump using Circular Lightweitht Piezo-composite Actuator)

  • 본 논문에서는 무밸브 마이크로펌프에 사용되는 압전 다이아프램의 성능을 향상시키는 방법이 연구되었다. 큰 작동 변위와 작동력을 가지는 원형 형태의 경량 압전 복합재료 작동기(LIPCA)를 마이크로 펌프용으로 제작하였다. 유한요소 해석과 실험을 통하여 원형 LIPCA의 성능을 예측하여 최적의 적층 형태를 설계하였다. 최적의 원형 LIPCA를 기반으로 포토리소그라피법과 PDMS 몰딩법을 사용하여 무밸브 마이크로 펌프를 제작하였다. 압전 다이아프램의 작동 변위 및 마이크로 펌프의 유량과 배압을 실험적으로 계측하였고, 반경험식을 사용하여 예측한 유량과 비교하였다. 이상의 연구에서 원형 LIPCA가 마이크로 펌프용으로 사용되는 보통의 압전 작동 다이아프램을 대체할 수 있는 우수한 작동기임을 확인할 수 있었다.

마찰 구동형 압전 작동기를 이용한 카메라 손떨림 진동보상 기법 연구 (On the Compensation of Camera Hand Shaking Using Friction Driven Piezoelectric Actuator)

  • The focal plane image stabilization for a camera is one of the most effective method that can increases the digital camera's image quality by compensating the vibration disturbance. The optical image stabilization can be implemented by making the focal plane to trace the path of incident light. To control the position of focal plane motion compensating stage precisely, a nonlinear control algorithm has been applied by considering coulomb friction which is nonlinear behavior of the compensator system. In our study, we have analyzed the hand shaking vibration using the gyro sensor, and made a mathematical model of compensating stage containing optical sensor and piezo-actuator. Then the nonlinear control algorithm has been designed and its performance has been verified by experiment. In this study, a friction driven peizo-electric actuator with $1{\mu}m$ resolution and 10mm/s speed has been used for stage movement.

  • Piezoelectric-based hydraulic actuator is a hybrid device consisting of a hydraulic pump driven by piezoelectric stacks that is coupled to a conventional hydraulic cylinder via a set of fast-acting valves. Nowadays, such hybrid actuators are being researched and developed actively in many developed countries by requirement of high performance and compact flight system. In this research, a piezoelectric hybrid actuator has been designed and tested. To achieve bi-directional capabilities in the actuator, solenoid valves were used to control the direction of output fluid. The experimental testing of the actuator in uni-directional and bi-directional modes was performed to examine performance issues related to the solenoid valves. The results showed that the bi-directional performance was slightly lower than uni-directional performance due to air bubble developed in the valve system. A new design to solve the vacuum problem has been proposed to improve the performance of the hybrid actuator.

웨이블릿 네트워크를 이용한 압전 구동기의 견실제어 (Robust Control of Piezo Actuator using Wavelet Networks)

  • An iterative robust control design for PZT using Gaussian wavelet networks is proposed. A Gaussian wavelet network with accurate approximation capability is employed to approximate the nonlinear hysteresis dynamics of PZT systems by using an iterative control algorithm. Depending on the finite number of wavelet basis functions which results in unavoidable approximation errors, a robust control law is provided to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop nano positioning system. Finally, the effectiveness of the robust control approach is illustrated through comparative simulations on a PZT.

자성형 급기공을 갖는 외부가압 공기베어링의 섭동압력측정에 관한 연구 (Measurement of Perturbed Pressures under Inherently Compensated Restrictors in Externally Pressurized Air Bearings)

  • In this study, steady state and perturbed pressures are experimentally measured under inherently compensated restrictors in externally pressurized air bearings. A piezo actuator is used for simulating small displacement perturbation in the air film. The pressures under the restrictors are measured by a miniature type pressure transducer and the height of the air film is measured by capacitance type gap sensors developed by Chapman's method. The perturbed pressure is obtained through Fourier transformation of the two signals. The measured perturbed pressures are in good agreement with the calculated values.
