To find out the most effective method of treatments for the induction of sprouting of dormant seed potato pieces for the fall crop production of Irish cobbler, this experiment was carried out with sprout inducing bed and field performance trial. In GA treatments, about 10 days were required to sprout and resulted uniform and thin 3-4 sprouts per tuber piece, but sprouts were slender and rooting was not observed. In Ethrel treatments, 20-25 days were required, and sprouts were inferior than that of GA treatment in uniformity of sprouting, and percentage of rotten pieces and of healthy sprouted tuber pieces, but number of sprouts per tuber pieces was low, being 1-2, and sprouts were short, thick, and healthy, and showed good rooting. In GA and Ethrel mixture treatments, 1-2 more days were required to sprout than GA treatments, but sprouts were relatively healthy, and other sprouting pattern were like that of GA treatments. In Ethylene chlorohydrin and 6-Benzyl-adenine treatments, sprouting was like that of Ethrel treatments, but much more days were required than Ethrel treatments and tendency of severe rotting was observed. Optimum treating methods of promising chemicals found to be 1-2 and 2-5 ppm GA solution, 500 and 1000-2000 ppm Ethrel solution, and 1-2+250-500 and 5+250-500 ppm GA and Ethrel mixture solution for 60 min. treatment of tuber piece and whole-tuber, respectively. Induction of sprouting in dry and hot time resulted severer rotting of tuber pieces during the induction of sprouting and with the advancement of dormancy, being delayed in date of treatment, tendency of promotion of sprouting and rooting was observed. When sprouted tuber piece was transplanted at the same date, yields were in order of Ethrel, GA and Ethrel mixture, and GA treatment, indicating the correlation between yield and healthiness of sprout and rooting status of sprouted tuber piece. In all treatments, earlier transplanting resulted higher yields.
Attitude on smoking and drinking among group of salary earners comprised of 400 primary, middle, and high school teachers, bankers and public servants who serviced in Kwang ju city area, was studied during the period of a month from may to June 1969. The results obtained were summarized as follows ; 1. 144 persons (36.0%) out of 400 salary eaners were smoking cigarettes, and, in sex, 0.7%(1 out of 137) was shown in female and 54.3%(143 out of 263) was in male. 2. More than half of the smokers(59.0%) smoked 11-20 pieces of cigarettes a day, and 36.8% did less than 10 pieces, 1.4% did 21-30 pieces a day. 3. 175 persons (43.7%) out of 400 total interviewers liked to drink. and in sex 63.8% for male and 2.7% for female. 4. On the quantity of drinking Makkuli (special Korean alcoholic beverage, containing 2-4% alcohol) 114 persons (65.1%) showed less than 5 Hop and 37 persons(21.1%) showed 6-10 Hop, and 10.3% showed 11-20 Hop, and 2.9% liked to drink more than 20 Hop.
This study was conducted in 2001 to determine the influence of seed-piece size (SPS) and number (SPN) per mini-tuber produced by hydroponics on growth and yield of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.). Treatments consisted of the combination of six SPS (3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13g/seed-piece) and four SPN (whole tuber, and two, three, and four pieces/tuber). Percentage sprout emergence at transplanting was higher for seed pieces weighing 7 to 13 g (83.0 to 85.4%) and for three and four pieces per tuber (85.4 and 84.8%). As SPS were increased from 3 to 9 g/piece, total yields markedly increased from 2,052 to 2,924 kg/10a and seed tuber (31 to 250 g) yield from 1,589 to 2,428kg/10a with no further increase with SPS. As SPN was increased from one to three/ tuber, total yields increased from 1,918 to 2,982 kg/10a and seed tuber yields from 1,422 to 2,579 kg/10a with no further increase with SPN. Average tuber weight increased with SPS (46.3 to 71.5 g/tuber) and SPN (56.5 to 64.9 g/tuber).

Since concrete is a hardened aggregates of various materials, it needs to be crushed for chemical analyses. However, the effect of sample crushing on the analytical results has not been precisely assessed till today. In this study, we prepared concrete test pieces using Portand cements and fly ashes as binding materials, and ponded ashes and sands as aggregates and analyzed the heavy metals of the test pieces using Standards for Fair Testing of Soil Contamination (SFTSC) and Wastes (SFTW). For this, each test piece was partially crushed at first and sieved for separation of grains of <0.15 mm, 0.15-0.5 mm, and 0.5-5 mm from the same crushed samples (Crushing Method I). Results of those samples using SFTSC showed a clear trend that analyzed heavy metal concentrations are higher in the finer fractions. Particularly, fractions with <0.15 mm indicated much higher concentrations than the theoretical ones, which were calculated based on the concentrations of individual materials and their mixing fractions. In contrast, the analytical results were generally comparable with the theoretical ones when the test pieces were totally pulverized such that all the crushed grains were <0.15 mm in size (Crushing Method II). These results are associated with the fact that cement materials and fly ashes, which are high in heavy metals relative to other materials, are enriched in the fine fractions. The analytical results using the SFTW derived very low concentrations in most of parameters and did not indicate the dependence of concentrations on the crushing methods due to using distilled water as leaching agent.
The movement towards fashion and east-west culture in housewares has placed a requirement upon tableware to be varied and segmentized meals have become more than simply what to eat, where to eat, and how to eat This issue created demand for both practical and aesthetic tableware, that satisfies modern eating habits and lifestyles. Therefore, the following research was commenced in order to assess the development of contemporary tableware and tablecloths that try to harmoniously accommodate tradition and modernity while evoking a younger feel and sophistication. The direction of this study lies in introducing an innovation to tableware, one not based on predetermined combinations, but on an unlimited number of open coordination concepts, an innovation that satisfies movements towards itemization, specialization, and variation of the fashion and fusion represented in the culture of the dining table, and furthermore, the objective of this study lies in the transformation of the conservative image of the Woo Il Yo brand in order for it to exhibit modern sensibilities through a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, as seen in a new tableware design that provides various table settings that implement color coordination through a mix and match concept The development objective of the design efforts was focused on lunch ware comprising of the following: 15 pieces of tableware items based on 15 tableware designs, 4 pieces of tablecloth items based on 3 tablecloth designs, all combined, comprising 19 pieces of design. Additionally, a dinnerware line was also developed comprising of 8 pisces of tableware items originating from 8 tableware designs and one tablecloth design resulting in one item. As a result of the research, S/S lunch ware line was developed comprising of 15 items of tableware and three tablecloth designs, and a F/W oriented dinnerware line was developed comprising of 5 items.
The Kunang cave paleolithic site is located at Tanyang [$N37^{\circ}2'$, $128^{\circ}21'E$], Chungbuk Province, which is in the Central part of the Korean peninsula. The cave is developed at 312 amsl in a karstic mountainous area. The South Han River flows across this region and other caves can also be found near the river. The site was discovered in 1986 and excavated 3 times by the Chungbuk National University Museum until now. The cave was wellpreserved from modem human activities until the first discovery. The full length of the cave is estimated to be ca. 140 m. However, a spacious part up to 11 m from the entrance has been excavated. Eight lithological units are divided over the vertical profile at a depth of 5 m. Each unit is deposited in ascending order as follow: mud layer (Unit 9), lower complex (Unit 8) which is composed of angular blocks and fragments with a muddy matrix, lower travertine layer (Unit 7; flowstone), middle complex (Unit 6; cultural layer) which is composed of fragments with a muddy matrix, middle travertine layer (Unit 5; flowstone), yellowish muddy layer (Unit 4), upper complex (Unit 3; cultural layer) which has a similar composition to Unit 8. the upper travertine layer (Unit 2; flowstone), and finally surface soil layer (Unit 1). The most abundant vestiges in the cultural layers are the animal bones. They are small fractured pieces and mostly less than 3 cm in length. About 3,800 bone pieces from 25 animal species have been collected so far, 90 percent of them belonging to young deers. Previous archaeological study of these bone pieces shows thatprehistoric people occupied the cavenot for permanent dwelling but for temporary shelter during their seasonal hunting activity. More extensive studies of these bones together with pollen analysis are in progress to reconstruct the paleoenvironment of this cave. Only a single date (12,500 BP) obtained from a U-Th measurement of the upper travertine layer was previously available. In spite of the importance of the cave stratigraphy, there was no detail chronological investigation to establish the depositional process of the cultural layers and to understand the periodic structure of the cave strata, alternating travertine floor and complex layers. We have measured five 14C age dating (38900+/-1000, 36400+/-900, 40600+/-1600, more than 51000 and 52000 14C BP) using Seoul National University 14C AMS facility, conducted systematic process of the collagen extraction from bone fragments samples. From the result, we estimate that sedimentation rate of the cave earth is constant, and that the travertine layers, Unit 2 and Unit 3, was formed during MIS 5a(ca. 80 kBP) and MIS 5c (ca. 100 kBP) respectively. The Kunang Cave site is located at Yochonli of the region of Danyang in the mid-eastern part of Korea. This region is compased of limestones in which many caves were found and the Nam-han river flows meanderingly. The excavations were carried out three times in 1986, 1988, and 1998.

Limestone zone in korea have been distributed to diagonal line so that it is wide from the Gangwondo to the Jeonlanamdo. The limestone cavity and fractured zone were formed by chemical weathering. Limestone cavity and fractured zone was reinforced with cemented milk(w/c=60%)by high pressure jet grouting by tripple -pipe to establish bridge foundation on the ground condition like limestone cavity. To analyze property of limestone and solid of cement milk(w/c=65%), mixed solid of cement, core NX size in the limestone cavity and fractured zone and compressive strength. Seismic tomograpy exploration was pcrforn1cd to analyze deformation modulus of limestone. The analysis suggests that deformation modulus of limestone has effect on uniaxial compressive strength, seismic velocity, seismic elasticity modulus. Average static elasticity modulus of limestone is $5.08{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$, cement and coal mixed solid is $0.25{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$, $0.095{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$. Average seismic velocity of limestone is 5.240m/sec, cement and coal mixed solid is 2,211.3m/sec, 1,447.5m/sec. Average uniaxial compressive strength of limestone was $1,221.3kgf/cm^2$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $125.22kgf/cm^2$, $35kgf/cm^2$ each other. Average friction angle of limestone was $49.14^{\circ}$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $38.39^{\circ}, 25.83^{\circ}$ each other. Average cohesion of limestone was $137.7kgf/cm^2$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $23.5kgf/cm^2$, $15.5kgf/cm^2$ each other. Average deformation modulus of limestone was $2.84{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$ and limestone specimen mixed with cement milk and solid of cement milk mixed with coal were $0.4{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2, 0.12{\times}10^5kgf/cm^2$ each other. It was analyzed that the elasticity and uniaxial compressive strength, seismic velocity of solid of cement milk mixed limestone pieces and coal had an highly interrelation regardless of existence of limestones pieces and coal but it had shown that limestones had an lower interrelation. In case of field seismic velocity and deformation of limestone, SIC solid of cement milk mixed with coal and limestone pieces had an highly interrelation.

Recently, personalized-adaptive services became the center of interest in the world. However the services about music are not widely diffused out. That is because the analyzing of music information is more difficult than analyzing of text information. In this paper, we propose a music recommendation system which provides personalized services. The system keeps a user's listening list and analyzes it to select pieces of music similar to the user's preference. For analysis, the system extracts properties from the sound wave of music and the time when the user listens to music. Based on the properties, a piece of music is mapped into a point in the property space and the time is converted into the weight of the point. At this time, if we select and analyze the group which is selected by user frequently, we can understand user's taste. However, it is not easy to predict how many groups are formed. To solve this problem, we apply the K-means clustering algorithm to the weighted points. We modified the K-means algorithm so that the number of clusters is dynamically changed. This manner limits a diameter so that we can apply this algorithm effectively when we know the range of data. By this algorithm we can find the center of each group and recommend the similar music with the group. We also consider the time when music is released. When recommending, the system selects pieces of music which is close to and released contemporarily with the user's preference. We perform experiments with one hundred pieces of music. The result shows that our proposed algorithm is effective.
Recently, hierarchical architectures of databases for location management have been proposed in order to accommodate the increase in user population in future personal communication systems. In particular, a 3-level hierarchical database architecture is compatible with current cellular mobile systems. In the architecture, a newly developed additional databases, regional location database(RLR), are positioned between HLR and VLRs. We propose an efficient cache scheme, called the Double T-thresholds Location Cache Scheme. The cache scheme extends the existing T-threshold location cache scheme which is competent only under 2-level architecture of location databases currently adopted by IS-41 and GSM. The idea behind our scheme is to use two pieces of cache information, VLR and RLR serving called portables. The two pieces are required in order to exploit root only locality of registration area(RA) but also locality of regional registration area(RRA) which is the wide area covered by RLR. We also use two threshold values in order to determine whether the two pieces are obsolete. In order to model the RRA residence time, the branching Eralng-$\infty$ distribution is introduced. Our minute cost analysis shows that the double T-threshold location cache scheme yields significant reduction of network and database costs for molt patterns of portables.

In order to develop the artificial bait of trap for swimming crabs, the attracting effect was analyzed in the duration time of attracting effect, preference and shape recognition to the bait in the water tank and field experiments. According to the result which investigated the mean entrapped number of swimming crabs into the trap for each bait(mackerel, sardine and anchovy) in water tank experiments, the mean entrapped number was found to be higher in the trap with mackerel(6.9 ind.; 23.0%) than in other traps with sardine(5.2 ind.; 17.3%) and anchovy(3.4 ind.; 11.3%). In addition, the mean entrapped ratios of swimming crabs into the traps for 3 kinds of baits were estimated to be over 80% all in 5 hours after soaked in the water tank. For preference of swimming crabs to 3 kinds of baits, the trap with mackerel(6.9 ind.; 23.0%) was evaluated to be higher than the traps with sardine(2.8 ind.; 9.3%) and anchovy(0.2 ind.; 0.7%). In the field experiments, the mean entrapped number of swimming crabs into the trap with mackerel and sardine were found to be similar as 120 and 118 ind., but the trap with anchovy was only 85 ind.. According to the result which investigated the shape regnition of swimming crabs to the bait used mackerel, divided into 8 pieces, 16 pieces and grinded mass in water tank experiments, the mean entrapped number of swimming crabs into the traps that includes the mackerel divided into several pieces was significantly decreased. Moreover, by the presence of skin of mackerel for bait, there was a great difference in the entrapped number of swimming crabs. Therefore, it was thought that the swimming crab was attracted to the bait and entrapped into the trap would indicate that not only the chemical stimuli such as the attactant, but also the visual stimuli such as the shape recognition to the bait might be closely related.
