지팡이 손잡이 형태가 편마비 환자의 균형 회복에 미치는 영향 (The Effects The Type of Canes-Handle Affects in Recovering-Balance of Hemiplegic patients)

  • Purpose: We compared T-type and I-type canes on postural balance in 28 hemiplegic patients. Methods: Subjects were allocated randomly into two groups: a T-shape cane group (n=14) and an I-shape cane group (n=14). Before the test, subjects were trained by a physical therapist to walk with a cane for 6 weeks. The Main Outcome Measures were measured as maximal sway velocity, sway path, sway area, and partial weight bearing using a Balance Performance Monitor (BPM) and ambulation velocity using a 'Timed up and go test'. We also measured the maximal ambulation velocity. Results: The distribution of weight bearing on the affected side without the cane was 35% in the I-shape cane group and 36% in the T-shape cane group. After training, weight bearing on the affected side increased by 45% in the I-shape cane group and 40% in the T-shape cane group. With the cane held in the hand, weight bearing on the affected side in the T-shape cane group decreased by 3%. Conclusion: The I-shaped cane increased static standing balance, including hemiplegic side weight bearing. Therefore, I-shape canes can improve the balance of hemiplegic patients.

마우스 형태에 따른 상지의 근활성도의 변화 (A Study of Muscle Activation in Upper Extremity According Mouse Shape)

  • Background : The purpose of the study was: to investigate muscle activation of upper arm according mouse shape. Methods : Twenty person(mean age : 23. 7) who have healthy condition was participated this study, we collected data of muscle activation using by EMG from upper trapezius(Tr), deltoid middle fiber(De), extensor digitorum(Ed), first dorsal interosseous(Di) during participants was performed click and drag according various mouse. Mouse shape was divided 4 level as follow shape 1 was very small, 2 was small, 3 was moderate, 4 was large. Data was analyzed ANOVA, independent t-test using by SPSS ver18.0. Results : There was significantly difference of muscle activation among each muscle according mouse shape in drag and click. In shape 1, 4, there was significantly difference of muscle activation of Tr, De, Ed between drag and click except Di. In shape 2, 4, there was significantly difference of muscle activation of all muscle between drag and click. Conclusion : We knew that extensor digitroum showed more higher muscle activation than other muscle in drag, first dorsal interoseous showed more higher muscle activation that other muscle in click. We suggest that mouse shape was very important factor in order to prevent skeletal muscular disorder for computer user, and mouse shape can reduce muscle fatigue during computer work.

초음파 도자의 모양에 따른 손목굽힘근의 근전도 분석 (Electromyographic Analysis of Wrist Flexors by the Shape of Ultrasound Head)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate electromyographic activities of the flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS) and the flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU) by the shape of the ultrasound head. Twelve healthy subjects participated and performed ultrasound therapy with a round head and a long handled head during each 5-minute application. Electromyographic activities of the FDS and FCU were recorded by surface electrodes and normalized by maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) values. There was no difference in the muscular fatigue of FDS and FCU as determined by the shape of the ultrasound head (p>.05). Without the shape of head, the mean power frequency decreased with the time. There also was no difference in %MVIC of the FDS and FCU as determined by the shape of the ultrasound head (p>.05), but the force exerted exceeded 20%MVIC. There was however a significant difference in the amount of cumulative workload of the FDS and FCU as determined by the shape of ultrasound head (p<.05). The workload was however not affected by the shape of the ultrasound head. Constant static grasp of ultrasound transducer head during ultrasound therapy is considered a high risk factor of work-related musculoskeletal disease.

지팡이의 형태가 뇌졸중 환자의 보행 시 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (A Review of Falls in the Elderly and Exercise Intervention)

  • Purpose : This study is to determine effects of cane-shape which influenced on the change of muscle activation, gait component in hemiplegic patients caused by cerebrovascular accident. Methods : Twenty one stroke patients using T-shape cane(TCG) and twenty one stroke patients using I-shape cane(ICG) participated in this study. Surface electromyography(SEMG) of erector spinae, transvers abdominis, tibialis anterior, soleus of both side were measured during walking without cane and walking with cane. Results : The activation of tibialis anterior was significantly increased in affected side of ICG. The activation of tibialis anterior was significantly decreased in affected side of TCG. The activation of soleus was significantly increased in affected side of ICG. The activation of soleus was significantly decreased in affected side of TCG. The activation of erector spinae was significantly increased in nonaffected side of ICG and TCG. The activation of transvers abdominis was significantly increased in nonaffected side of ICG and TCG. Conclusion : From the finding of this study, it was suggested that I-shape cane increase weight bearing of affected side in hemiplegic patient. Therefore, I-shape cane can be applied to improve gait asymmetry of hemiplegic patients.

노화에 따른 여성의 신체변화 자각과 자세교정 기능성 의류 수요 특성 (Women's perceptions of physical deformation from aging and demand on postural correction wear)

  • This study investigated the demand for functional clothing that compensates for the physical deformation of women due to aging. For this, the degree of perception of physical deformation at the new silver generation was examined. The demand for functional clothing that corrects body shape and posture according to differences in age and degree of perception was analyzed. Study participants(n=138) were women who ranged from 55 to 65 in age. Perception of physical deformation was investigated in the categories of deformation of body posture, cognition of joint pain, and deformation of body shape. Analysis results showed that cognition of joint pain was the largest of the three elements of body deformation, and each element had a high correlation between each other. Perception for degree of body deformation for women in their 50's and 60's was similar. These results show that changes in posture or body shape occur severely from the late 50's, and this appears as joint pain. The group with a high perception of posture deformation showed an especially high demand for functional clothing that corrects body shape and posture. The group with a high perception of body shape deformation had high demand for functional clothing that corrects body shape by lifting the hips and the breasts, and making the abdomen and waist slimmer. The results of this study show that women of the new silver generation are attuned to deformations in body shape and posture as well as joint pain beginning in their mid-fifties. There is a need to develop functional clothing to correct posture and body shape for the new silver generation women.

멜트블로운 부직포의 형태와 물리적 특성을 제어하는 공정기술에 관한 연구 (A study on the process technology for controlling the shape and physical properties of melt-blown non-woven)

  • Non-woven fabric is a textile product made by spinning thermoplastic polymers without manufacturing processes such as stretching, doubling, twisting, weaving, and knitting to form a sheet-shaped web in which fibers are tangled with each other, and then combining them by mechanical and physical methods. In addition, the non-woven fabric manufacturing process has various raw material choices, high productivity, so it is a textile manufacturing technology that can have various uses and increase added value. This study was conducted to control the shape and physical properties of products by improving the manufacturing method of melt-blown non-woven fabrics using process technology that easily changes the shape of non-woven fabrics and improves mechanical properties. In particular, it is considered that a non-woven fabric with a thin material shape and improved mechanical properties will be easily applied to a continuous secondary battery manufacturing industry such as roll to roll operation.

  • In the shape design optimization of an airfoil, the shape function has been used to find the optimal airfoil shape for given conditions. The parameters determining the airfoil shape are used in the shape design optimization as design variables. However, they usually don't have physical meaning. The PARSEC (Parametric Shapes) function is a recently proposed shape function and its parameters have the physical meaning. In this study the usefulness of the PARSEC is tested for the RAE2822 airfoil in the transonic flow region to reduce the shock strength and the result is compared with Hicks-Henne function. The optimized airfoils reduce the shock strength and they show similar result.

배경 깊이정보가 이차원 자극의 형태 판단에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Background Depth Information on the Judgment of Two-dimensional Shapes)

  • 깊이정보가 이차원 자극의 형태 판단에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 Posner 등(1969)의 물리적 대응과제를 이용한 두 실험을 실시하였다. 두 실험 모두 연속적으로 제시되는 두 문자나 도형이 물리적으로 동일한 형태인지 여부를 신속 정확하게 판단하는데 있어서 배경의 깊이정보가 미치는 영향에 초점을 맞추었다. 실험 1에서는 인공적으로 구성한 선형조망 단서와 결기울기 단서를, 실험 2에서는 실제 장면인 도로를 이용한 단서들을 사용하였다. 두 실험의 결과는 모두 깊이단서가 제공하는 깊이정보가 이차원 자극의 형태지각에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 물리적으로는 형태가 동일하더라도 두 번째 대상이 깊이단서에 의해 다른 형태로 지각될 가능성이 있는 경우에는 "같다"는 물리적 대응반응의 정확도가 낮아지고 반응시간이 증가하며, 물리적으로는 형태가 다르더라도 깊이단서에 의해 동일한 형태로 지각될 가능성이 있는 경우에는 '다르다'는 정확반응이 낮아지고 반응시간이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과를 모양 항등성에 대한 선행연구들의 개념적 방법론적 문제점 그리고 향후 수행해야 할 연구방향의 측면에서 논의하였다.

초등학생의 통증과 척추 형태에 관한 조사연구 (The Investigation of Pain and Spine Shape in Elementary School Students)

  • PURPOSE: This study was to investigate of pain and spine shape in elementary school students. The aim of this study was to prevent pain and spinal misalignment is to provide basic data and the need for regular screening for elementary school students. METHODS: This study had a survey research about pain and spine shape by using questionnaires and Formetric 4D. Subjects were 301 Elementary School Students RESULTS: In the presence or absence of pain and the presence of pain was in a high proportion and many of them indicated the back as a pain area, As a result of the spine shape contour, pelvic tilt was normal and trunk inclination was asymmetric as well as thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis were diminished. There was a significant difference in relationship of trunk inclination according to pain CONCLUSION: The asymmetric of trunk inclination influenced the pain, In contrast, the pain did not influence thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis in diminished. but, the diminution in thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis are potential sources of pain. Regular checkups are necessary to prevent elementary school students from a change of spine shape and a pain, Moreover, education of maintaining normal posture should be followed.
