  • 본 연구의 목적은 과학고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 '양자점 용액의 발광'을 주제로 하는 융합적 STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) 프로젝트를 수행하게 했을 때 학생들이 어떤 창의성과 어떤 과학적 태도를 보이는지를 조사하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 STEM 프로젝트를 수행하고자 원하는 과학고등학교 2학년생 3명을 한 팀이 되도록 구성하였으며, 이들은 과학고등학교 수준 이상의 과학기술을 공부하기를 원하는 학생들이었다. 이들은 양자점 용액과 관련된 물리적 성질을 탐구하는 것으로부터 시작하여 점차 그들의 생각을 확장해 나가면서 공학, 기술, 수학을 통합해 나갔다. 그 과정에서 학생들은 과학적 문제해결력을 보였고, 아울러 협동심, 인내, 성취에 대한 만족감과 같은 과학적 태도를 나타냈다.

임종돌봄 수행 프로그램 개발을 위한 교육요구도 분석 : 호스피스팀원을 중심으로 (The Importance and Performance Analysis for the Development of Endurance Nursing Education Program : Focusing on Hospice Teams)

  • 본 연구는 호스피스팀원을 대상으로 임종돌봄 수행의 중요도와 수행도 간의 차이를 조사하여 임종돌봄 프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 2020년 12월 1일부터 2021년 2월 15일까지 총 6개 기관의 대학병원, 종합병원, 호스피스의료기관의 호스피스팀을 대상으로 127부의 자료를 분석하였고, 서술적 통계, 임상돌봄 수행 중요도와 수행도의 상호차이(Gap)는 paired t-test를 사용하였으며, 임상돌봄 수행 중요도와 수행도의 상호차이 결과분석은 IPA Matrix를 사용하였다. IPA Matrix로 분석한 결과 '신체간호'과 '심리간호'는 지속적으로 유지 강화해야하는 제1사분면 영역에 속하였고, '영적간호'는 장기적인 개선이 요구되는 제3사분면 영역으로 나타났다. 집중개선이 필요한 제2사분면에 속하는 것은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 호스피스팀의 임종돌봄 수행 교육프로그램 구성 시, 신체 및 심리간호는 계속적으로 유지 강화할 수 있는 전략과 영적간호에 대한 장기적인 개선전략 수립이 필요하다.

Effect of sodium bicarbonate supplementation on two different performance indicators in sports: a systematic review with meta-analysis

  • [Purpose] Sodium bicarbonate shows ergogenic potential in physical exercise and sports activities, although there is no strong evidence which performance markers show the greatest benefit from this supplement. This study evaluated the effects of sodium bicarbonate supplementation on time trial performance and time to exhaustion in athletes and sports practitioners. [Methods] A systematic review was conducted using three databases, including 17 clinical trials. Among these clinical trials, 11 were considered eligible for the meta-analysis according to the criteria for the assessment of methodological quality using the PEDro Scale. Time to exhaustion was assessed in six studies, while time trial performance was evaluated in five studies. [Results] A significant beneficial effect of supplementation on time to exhaustion was found in a random effects model (1.48; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.49 to 2.48). There was no significant effect of supplementation on time trial performance in a fixed effects model (slope = -0.75; 95% CI, -2.04 to 0.55) relative to a placebo group. [Conclusion] Sodium bicarbonate has the potential to improve sports performance in general, especially in terms of time to exhaustion.

Effects of 12-week combined exercise on RANKL/RANK/OPG signaling and bone-resorption cytokines in healthy college females

  • [Purpose] The OPG/RANK/RANKL signaling is a new family of bone metabolism biomarkers belonging to the immune system. However, the bone metabolism response to long-term exercise in the RANKL/RANK/OPG signaling is less evident. The purpose of this study was to examine these biomarkers in healthy college females after 12-weeks combined exercise intervention. [Methods] Participants (N=22, 22.4±1.3yrs) were randomly divided in two different group: 12 in the control group and 10 in the exercise group performing combined exercise program that interventions was conducted 3 times per week for 12 weeks. The outcome measures included serum concentrations of RANKL, OPG and bone metabolic cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6, and mRNA expressions of same variables from PBMC. VO2max and bone mineral density (BMD) were measured at before and after exercise intervention. [Results] There were no significant differences in the serum RANKL, OPG concentrations and all RANKL/RANK/OPG signaling mRNA expression on interaction effect between group and time (NS). Also no significant differences were found in the serum TNF-α and IL-6 concentrations and mRNA expression (NS). The IL-6 mRNA expression only showed significant difference in the main effect of groups (p<.05). There were also no significant differences in the VO2max and BMD on interaction effect between group and time (NS). [Conclusion] These results suggested that there were no effects on bone mineral density and RANKL/RANK/OPG signaling without the effect of 8-weeks combined exercise on cardiovascular endurance fitness.

사무직근로자의 요추부 굴곡근 및 신전근의 등속성 근력평가 서울시 일부지역의 21세 $\sim$ 49세 남자직장인을 중심으로 (Isokinetic Evaluation of the Trunk Flexors and Extensors for the White Collar Workers in Adult Males)

  • After warming-up exercise for 20 minutes, Isokinetic measurement of trunk strength for flexor and extensor was done by using Cybex 6000 TEF Unit on 91 healthy male white workers from 22years old to 49 years old, and compared each other. 20 repetitions of trunk extension-flexion were done at $120^{\circ}$/sec angular velocity. After resting for 1 minutes, Four repetitions at two different angular velocities($60^{\circ}$/sec, $120^{\circ}$/sec) were done with 30 seconds of resting interval between each angular velocity. The purpose of this study is to obtain the isokinetic normative strength values for trunk extensors and flexors, and is to know the correlation between age, height, weight of subjects and data from isokinetic trunk strength measurement, and is to provide a guideline for exercise program of male white collar workers The collected data were analyzed by ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, and Pearson correlation coefficiency in PC-SAS program. The results obtained were as follow; 1. There is significant positive-correlation with the statistic value between weight and peak torque of trunk muscles at two different angular velocities($60^{\circ}$/sec, $120^{\circ}$/sec)(p<01), between height and peak torque of trunk muscles at two different angular velocities($60^{\circ}$/sec, $120^{\circ}$/sec) except peak torque of trunk flexor at $60^{\circ}$/sec(p<01). 2. There is nagitive-correlation between age and peak torque of trunk muscles at two different angular velocities($60^{\circ}$/sec, $120^{\circ}$/sec), there is significant differences with statistic value between age and peak torque of trunk extensor at $120^{\circ}$/sec(p<.01). 3. Mean peak torque and mean peak torque % by body weight of trunk extensor is 1.1 times higher values than trunk flexor at $60^{\circ}$/sec. 4. There is the increase in peak torque angle of trunk flexor with increasing of age, and the decrease in peak torque angle of trunk flexor with increasing of age at two different angular velocities($60^{\circ}$/sec, $120^{\circ}$/sec). there is significant differences with statistic value in peak torque angle of trunk flexor at $120^{\circ}$/sec(p<.01). 5. There is significant decrease in endurance ratio of trunk extensor with increasing of age at $120^{\circ}$/sec(p<.01). In conclusion, peak torque of trunk extensor is 1.1 times higher values than trunk flexor in healthy male white collar workers.

요가와 필라테스 트레이닝이 비만 남자대학생의 비만도, 신체 부위별 근육량 및 체력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Yoga and Pilates Training on Obesity Indexes, muscle mass in each body part and Physical Fitness in Male College Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 요가와 필라테스 트레이닝이 비만 남자대학생의 비만도, 신체 부위별 근육량 및 체력에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 운동처방의 임상적 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 피험자는 비만 남자대학생 총 20명을 각각 10명씩 요가와 필라테스 두 집단으로 무선할당하여 12주간 주 5회 1회당 90분씩 트레이닝을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 요가와 필라테스는 모두 비만도(골격근량 증가, BMI 감소, 체지방률 감소, WHR 감소), 신체 부위별 근육량(오른팔, 왼팔, 몸통, 오른다리, 왼다리 근육량 증가), 체력(하지근력, 근지구력, 유연성, 좌측평형성, 우측평형성 향상)에 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 둘째, 필라테스는 요가보다 골격근량 증가, 신체 부위별(오른팔, 왼팔, 몸통, 오른다리, 왼다리)근육량 증가, 평형성 (좌, 우) 향상에 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 셋째, 요가는 필라테스 보다 BMI, 체지방률, WHR 감소에 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과로 요가와 필라테스 트레이닝은 비만 남자대학생들의 비만도 개선과 건강증진에 유용한 운동프로그램으로 적용 가능하다고 사료되어진다.

4주간 지구성 운동이 흰쥐의 Back Skin Hair Follicle에서 ERK 및 JNK의 활성화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of 4 Weeks Endurance Exercise on Expression of Extracellular Signal-Regulated Kinases and c-Jun N-terminal Kinase in Rat Back Skin Hair Follicle)

  • The effect of a chronic programme of either low- or moderate-to-high-intensity treadmill running on the activation of the Extracellular-signal regulated protein kinase (ERK1/2), Phosphorylated ERK 1/2(pERK1/2) and the Phosphorylated c-Jun N-terminal kinase(pJNK) pathways was determined in rat Back skin Hair follicle. Sprague-Dawley rats were assigned to one of three groups: (i) sedentary group(NE; n=10); (ii) low-intensity exercise group (Bm/min; LIE; n=10); and (iii) moderate-high-intensity exercise group(28m1min; HIE; n=10). The training regimens were planned so that animals covered the same distance and had similar utilization for both LIE and HIE exercise sessions. The report runs as follows; A single bout of LIE or HIE following 4 weeks of exercise led to a twofold increase in the phosphorylation of ERK2, pERK2 and a threefold increase in pJNKl, pERKl. ERKI phosphorylation in LIE Back skin sampled and pJNK2 in HIE Back skin sampled 48h after the last exercise bout was similar to sedentary values, while pJNK2 phosphorylation in LIE Back skin sampled was 70-80% lower than sedentary. 48h after the last exercise bout of LIE or HIE increased ERK2, pERKl and pJNKl expression, with the magnitude of this increase being independent of prior exercise intensity or duration. PERK1/2, pJNKl expression was increased Three- to fourfold in Back skin Hair follicle sampled 48h after the last exercise bout irrespective of the prior exercise programme, but ERKI expression in HIE Back skin sampled was approximately 90% lower than sedentary values. In conclusion, exercise-training of different jntensities/durations results in selective postexercise activation of intracellular signal pathways, which may be one mechanism regulating specific adaptations induced by diverse training programmes.

신장이식 환자의 수술 후 자기효능증진과 운동훈련 프로그램 효과 (The Effect of the Self Efficacy Promotion and Exercise Training Program of Kidney Transplant Recipients)

  • This study was attempted to evaluate how the self efficacy promotion and exercise training program effect on the postoperative general conditions of transplant recipients after kidney transplantations. The subjects were selected randomly among the patients who underwent renal trans- plantations at three major transplantation hospitals in Seoul, Korea. This study was carried out between November 1999 and March 2000. The observed subjects in this study consisted of 56 patients. The exercise training group(n=16) received the self efficacy promotion and exercise training program for 12 weeks which contained general knowledge for compliance instruction, exercise training and self efficacy promotion education. The self efficacy group(n=18) received general knowledge for compliance instruction and self efficacy promotion education but no exercise training was given. The control group(n=22) were not offered any education. The knowledge for compliance, self efficacy, physical conditions(weight, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility), lab studies (hemoglobin, creatinine, cholesterol), activities of daily living and quality of life were evaluated 3 times, before the experiment, at 8 weeks and at 12 weeks. The data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, ANOVA and Scheff test. The results were as follows: 1. The knowledge and self efficacy score of the exercise training group and self efficacy group were significantly increased than those of the control group(p=.0001). 2. The weight of the exercise training group was significantly decreased compared to those of the self efficacy group and the control group(p=.0001). Muscle strength (grip strength, back lift strength), and flexibility of all 3 groups were significantly changed(p=.0001). However, muscle endurance in all 3 groups showed no significant differences. 3. The hemoglobin level of the exercise training group and the self efficacy group were significantly increased compared to that of the control group(p=.0001) and the cholesterol levels of the exercise training group and the self efficacy group were significantly decreased compared to that of the control group(p=,0001). However, the creatinine levels in all 3 groups showed no significant differences. 4. The activities of daily living scores of the exercise training group was significantly increased than that of the control group (p=.0003), and the quality of life scores of the exercise training group and the self efficacy group were significantly better than that of the control group(p=.0001). It would be expected that this self efficacy promotion and exercise training program could be applied widely as an effective nursing intervention for kidney transplant recipients.

산림 걷기 운동이 노인의 기능적 체력과 보행형태에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Forest-Walking Exercise on Functional Fitness and Gait Pattern in the Elderly)

  • 이 연구는 노인들을 대상으로 산림 걷기 운동이 어떻게 기능적 체력과 보행형태에 영향을 미치는지를 규명하고자 하는데 목적이었다. 본 연구를 위하여 37명의 노인들이 참여하였으며 산림 걷기 운동 집단(n=19, $66.34{\pm}4.31$세)과 실내 트레드밀 걷기 운동 집단(n=18, $67.18{\pm}2.78$세)으로 구분되어, 12주간 주에 3회 80분 씩 각각 산림 걷기 운동과 실내 트레드밀 걷기 운동에 참여하였다. 기능적 체력(근력, 지구력, 유연성, 민첩성/평형성, BMI)과 보행형태(보행박자, 보행속도, 보행안정성) 검사는 12 주간 프로그램 전과 후에 측정되었다. 자료 분석을 위하여 평균과 표준편차가 이용되었으며, 독립 t-test와 반복 이원변량분석이 이용되었다. 그 결과, 12주간의 산림 걷기 운동을 실시한 집단이 실내에서 트레드밀 걷기 운동한 집단보다 하지 근력, 허리 유연성, 민첩성/동적 평형성, 그리고 심폐지구력에서 더 크게 향상을 보였다. 그러나 상지 근력, 견관절 유연성, BMI에서는 두집단 모두 똑같은 향상을 보였다. 둘째, 12주간의 산림 걷기 운동을 실시한 집단이 실내에서 트레드밀 걷기 운동한 집단보다 보행박자, 보행속도, 보행안정성에서 더 유의한 향상을 보였다. 따라서 본 연구는 감각-운동신경의 기능적 통합에 기초한 산림 걷기 운동이 노인들의 기능적 체력과 보행형태를 효율적으로 향상시키고, 나아가서 생활을 더 역동적으로 만들며, 낙상을 예방하는 효과적인 운동방법이 될 수 있음을 제안한다.

8주간 데드리프트 운동 시 전신진동운동이 재활스포츠 선수의 근 기능 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect in the Muscle Function Following 8-Week Dead-lift training with Whole-body Vibration in Rehabilitation for Sports Players)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects in the muscle function following 8-week dead-lift training with Whole-body Vibration(WBV) in rehabilitation for sports players. Method : Twenty young sports players. Each subjects were randomly assigned to a resistance training with Whole-body vibration group(TG, n=10), a resistance training without Whole-body vibration group(CG, N=10). The measurements which physical fitness test and joint torque test were performed before the randomization and after the 4-week and 8-week. The WBV group performed the dynamic Dead-lift exercise on a vibration platform during one minute. The CG group performed the equal training without vibration. The WBV and CON group repeated 5 set and trained two times weekly for 8-weeks. Paired t-test was used to test for differences between the groups at baseline and after 4-weeks and 8-Weeks. And independent t-test was used to test for differences between the groups at TG and CG. All analyses were executed using SPSS software 18.0. The level of significance was set at p<.050. Results : Following the 8-Weeks training sessions, an increase in the back-muscle strength was found to be greater for the TG compared with the CG group(p<.05). Muscle endurance was significantly decreased after training than before training only for the CG(p<.05). Isometric Hip/Lumber Extension/Flextion measurement was found to be significantly greater for the TG compared with the CG group(p<.05). The finding indicates that WBV effects as an efficient training stimulus to enhance muscle function by facilitating neural control trail. Following muscle activation in motor unit synchronization of the co-contraction of the muscles. Conclusion : The results imply that the WBV training may have enhanced muscle function in rehabilitation for sports players.
