Luminescent solar concentrator (LSC), consisting of luminophore included glass or substrate with edge-mounted photovoltaic cell, is semi-transparent, energy harvesting devices. The luminophore absorbs incident solar light and re-emit photons, while the waveguide plate allows re-emitted photons to reach edge or bottom mounted photovoltaic cells with reduced losses. If the area of LSC is much larger than that of photovoltaic cell, this system can effectively concentrate solar light. In order to improve the performance of LSC, new materials and optical structures have been suggested by many research groups. For decreasing re-abosprion losses, it is essential to minimize the overlap between absorption and photoluminescence solar spectrum of luminophoroe. Moreover, the combination of selective top reflector and reflective optical cavity structure significantly boosts the waveguide efficiency in the LSC. As a result of many efforts, commercially available LSCs have been demonstrated and verified in the outdoor. Also, it is expected to generate electricity in buildings by replacing conventional glass to LSCs.

In case of the silicon solar panel being used in Korea, the production specification is designed to give maximum output at the limit of -0.5 to 0.05℃, so the output of 0.45~0.55% decreases when the temperature rises by 1℃. As a result, the photovoltaic power generation is reduced according to the surface temperature rise of the photovoltaic module due to the characteristics of the solar cell. The decrease in output reduces the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation, and if the efficiency decreases, the result is that the profit of electricity sales according to the amount of photovoltaic power generation decreases. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of spraying cooling air to the lower (or surrounding) of the photovoltaic module when it is identified above the set temperature by the temperature detection sensor. In addition, the amount of power generated is increased by utilizing the lost solar energy, and by applying cooling function through cooling air, the power generation can be further increased.

In our study, we collected data from a 100 kW floating photovoltaic (PV) system installed in Gyeongnam Hapcheon Dam and observed correlations between the power generation of the floating PV system and the irradiance, water temperature, humidity, ambient temperature, wind speed, and module temperature. Firstly, there was little correlation between the water temperature and power generation. Secondly, the ambient temperature, wind speed, and humidity all showed greater correlations with power generation. Finally, the power generation was very highly correlated with the irradiance and module temperature. In conclusion, the power generation of the floating PV system is related individually to environmental factors.

A solar cell is a device which converts solar energy into electricity without any polluting by-product. Solar cells are useful when they are connected together to form modules. Total production of PV modules worldwide jumped 20 % in 1995 to reach a new record 84.8 MW. In this paper, the recent market trends in photovoltaic industries, principles and characteristics of solar cells and photovoltaic systems are reviewed.
This article interprets the operating characteristics of the photovoltaic system during the winter and spring seasons, and based on the theoretical knowledge, analyzes the operational characteristics and the power electricity during the tentative application and operation of this system. Through the long-term measurement of the sunshine time and collection of the data related to this, we examine the study of graphic presentation and monitoring systems.
In photovoltaic generation, PV module is used to generate the electricity, and this system has been in limelight as nonpolluting alternative energy source. But, as energy density is low and PV module cost is high, there is a disadvantage that initial investment cost go up. In this study, we studied the method of allowing a tracker, adequate to photovoltaic generation, for Increasing the generating. We determined the proper error angle in order to decrease the repeating number of tracking without a reduction of the generating by using our developed simulator. And, we presented the photovoltaic approach tracking control and achieved its experiment. Through the result of experiment, it is expected that the fault rate and the consumption of electric power in a tracker get reduced and its cost become cut down.

In this paper, I suggested the energy flexibility for photovoltaic energy. The cost for PV is surely high. But renewable energy is an one of the key solution for next energy resource. The latest technology needs more electricity. So many people are carrying more mobile charge in their batteries. Looking at the poor country people and nation, it is necessary to supply and share the advanced energy resources like photo voltaic. So in this open seminary I want to share the idea for this theme. The detail discussion will be shown in the following paper.

This paper presents the experimental operation of invertactive 50kW photovoltaic system for monitoring periods. Form these performance monitoring results, the PV system performance has been evaluated and analyzed for component perspective. It has produced a regression equation. Using the equation, it is possible to estimate the annual electricity generation. The result of this study will be used to determine the appropriate capacity of PV system in different systems.
Setback regulations stand out as a primary hindrance to the widespread adoption of renewable energy in South Korea. This study analyzed the current status of domestic and international setback regulations, laying the groundwork for an in-depth discussion aimed at improving regulations related to solar photovoltaic setback distances. While setback regulations lack universal standardization across nations, regulations in the United States exhibit certain similarities to those implemented in South Korea. Notably, South Korea has seen a gradual tightening of regulations from 2018 to the present, implementing standards approximately 5 to 10 times stricter than those in the United States.
In this work, we analyzed correlations between life-cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and life-cycle cost of energy resources. Energy resources studied in this paper include coal, natural gas, nuclear power, hydropower, geothermal energy, wind power, solar thermal energy, and solar photovoltaic energy, and all of them are used to generate electricity. We calculated the mean values, ranges of maximum minus minimum values, and ranges of 90% confidence interval of life-cycle GHG emissions and life-cycle cost of each energy resource. Based on the values, we plotted them in two dimensional graphs to analyze a relationship and characteristics between GHG emissions and cost. Besides, to analyze the technical maturity, the GHG emissions and the range of minimum and maximum values were compared to each other. For the electric generation, energy resources are largely inverse proportional to the GHG emission and the corresponding cost.
