We consider a single-server queue with service time distribution of phase type where positive customers, negative customers and disasters arrive according to a Markovian arrival process with marked transitions (MMAP). We derive simple formulae for the stationary queue length distributions. The Laplace-Stieltjes transforms (LST's) of the sojourn time distributions under the combinations of removal policies and service disciplines are also obtained by using the absorption time distribution of a Markov chain.

The purpose of this study was to examine the direction and the actual state of environmental behavior of domestic enterprises. This study focused on strategies of environmental management, manufacturing process, product distribution, and waste collection of a enterprise with regard to environmental behavior. the survey was conducted on 30 enterprises, using open type questionnaires. Results of the study were as follows : 1. Enterprises recognized the importance of environmental behavior. their environmental strategies were great, but the actual behavior was poor. 2. In the manufacturing process, environmental behavior was not practised well. 3. In the product distribution and the waste collection phase, they made little efforts for the environmental preservation.

We present an algorithmic solution for the stationary distribution of the M/M/c retrial queue in which the retrial times of each customer in orbit are of phase type distribution of order 2. The system is modeled by the level dependent quasi-birth-and-death (LDQBD) process.

The single phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) has many merits; simple structure and driving circuits, easy operation and speed control, and etc. This paper presents the torque characteristics of disk type single phase SRM by changing the salient pole lengths and pole arcs. The prototype single phase SRM has a three dimensional magnetic flux pattern because of its structure. That is, the radial and axial magnetic flux contributes to torque generation. Thus, 3D analysis is required for computation of its magnetic field. In this paper, 3D FEM is used for analyzing the magnetic flux distribution and magnetic co-energy.

The effects of secondary phase morphology and carbon content on the plastic deformation of 0.2C-1.5Si-1.5mn TRIP(TRansformed Induced Plasticity) steel have been investigated at various annealing and bainitic transformation temperatures. The morphology of ferrite and secondary phases was controlled by the annealing temperature and the distribution of secondary phase was controlled by the bainitic transformation temperature. The secondary phase contributed to elongation and/or UTS depending on the ferrite morphology which determined deformation mode simple elongation or rotation of secondary phase along the tensile direction In case of the sample containing the granular type retained austenite the elongation was improved as carbon stabilized the austenite phase. If the film-shape retained austenite in acicular ferrite was dominant however UTS was enhanced as the transformed martensite was hardened by carbon.

We consider a two-phase queueing system with Bernoulli feedback. Customers arrive at the system according to a Poison process and receive batch service in the first phase followed by individual services in the second phase. Each customer who completes the individual service returns to the tail of the second phase service queue with probability 1 -$\sigma$. This type of queueing problem cad be easily found in computer and telecommunication systems. By deriving a relationship between the generating functions for system size at various embedded epochs, we obtain the system size distribution. The exhaustive and gated cases for the batch service are considered.

In this paper, a method was studied for applying a series resonant type fault current limiter that can be manufactured at low cost to the smart grid distribution system. First, the impact of the harmonic components of the short-circuit fault current injected into the series resonance circuit of the fault current limiter on the peak value of the transient response was analyzed, and a methodology for determining the steady-state response was studied using percent impedance-based fault current computation method. Next, the effectiveness of the method was verified by applying it to a test distribution line. The test distribution system using the designed current limiter was modeled using EMTP_RV, and a three-phase short-circuit fault was simulated. In the fault simulation results, it was confirmed that the steady-state response of the fault current accurately followed the design target value after applying the fault current limiter. In addition, by comparing the fault current waveform before and after applying the fault current limiter, it was confirmed that the fault current was greatly suppressed, confirming the effect of applying the series resonance type current limiter to the distribution system.

We investigated the androgenic effects of 11-ketotestosterone (11-KT) on gonadal sex reversal and spermatogenesis in honeycomb grouper Epinephelus merra by method of gonadal biopsy. 11-KT was injected intramuscularly at a concentration of 1 and $10{\mu}g$ body weight. The proportion of cross sectional area of the gonad occupied by each germ cell type was measured and compared pre- and post-injection group. During the sex change phase, the distribution ratio of oocytes was decreased in all fish of 11-KT treatment group while the distribution ratio of spermatocytes was increased than pre-injection group. In male phase, all fish of 11-KT treatment group shown the increased distribution ratio of spermatocytes, but the distribution ratio of spermatozoa was decreased than pre-injection group. The present results suggest that 11-KT can stimulate degeneration of oocytes, proliferation of spermatocytes and spermiation in honeycomb grouper.

Most researches for impinging jet spray have been focused on under-standing the breakup mechanism of a liquid sheet formed by the collision of jets and modeling the spray breakup using experimental data. For this reason, there have been few studies on the characteristics of the spatial spray distribution which affects significantly the combustion efficiency. Hence, we measured the radial distribution of fuel massflux using a like-doublet type injector. Instead of PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) which has been used only for the point measurement of the drop size of spray, PLIF(Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence) technique was developed lot the 2-D measurement of the massflux distribution of spray Indirect photography technique was also used to verify PLIF data.
