Effect of the Cooling Rates on the Corrosion Resistance and Phase Transformation of 14Cr-3Mo Martensitic Stainless Steel

  • Martensitic stainless steel is used when mechanical properties such as high tensile strength and hardness are required. Medium carbon-contained martensitic stainless steel which contains more than 0.2 wt% of carbon should be heat-treated and quenched at the temperature where undissolved carbides are totally dissolved into the matrix. In particular, the dissolution and reprecipitation behaviors of various forms of carbides are affected by such parameters as heating rate, heating temperature, duration time and cooling rate. This study is to investigate the effects of heat treatment parameters of 14Cr-3Mo martensitic stainless on corrosion resistance and phase transformation in relation to the dissolution and reprecipitation of carbides.

  • The multicasting is defined as the distribution of the same information stream from one to many nodes concurrently. There has been an intensive research effort to design protocols and construct multicast routing graphs for a single multicast group. However. there have been few researches about the relation between multiple and concurrent multicast groups. In this paper, the multiple multicast tree allocation algorithm to avoid congestion is proposed. The multicast group with different bandwidth requirement is also considered. A two-phase algorithm is proposed. The first phase is for basic search and the second phase for further improvement. The performance of the proposed algorithm is experimented with computational results. Computational results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms an existing algorithm.

  • Recently a construction industry introduces information that brings about many advantages in the early planning phase, design phase and construction phase. Especially it replaces 2D, 3D systems(usually using explanation of drawing information) ai 4D CAD(offering a sort of 4D-having relation of construction schedule and 3D drawing information). Nevertheless a 4D has these benefits, it has limits which are not only usually using 3D modeling but also limit of making full use of practical affairs because of a lack of connecting varietals of progress of work. To solve these uppermost limits, this research is presenting unified systems to use in risk management which are efficient management of space and non-space information, space analysis, making full use of data base, introducing GIS system of easy interaction.

  • The technology of production of the thermoplastic composite rocket propellants is based on a two-phase production procedure. The first phase represents the production of a semi-product in the sheet (foil) form (thickness: 0.5 mm ~ 5 mm), whereas the second phase is realized independently from the first one and it is based on the semi-produced product and thus the final form of the propellant grain is realized in relation to the defined geometry. Well done mechanical characteristics of the propellant grain enable that the same thing could be used as a mandrel in the filament winding procedure in creating the motor chamber of the composite material.

  • This paper presents exact Autotransformers(ATs)-fed AC electric Railroad system modeling using constant current mode far locomotives. An AC electric railroad system is rapidly changing single-phase load, and at a feeding substation, 3-phase electric power is transferred to paired directional single-phase electric power. As the train moves along a section of line between two adjacent ATs. The proposed AC electric railroad system modeling method considers the line self-impedances and mutual-impedances. The constant current mode model objectives are to calculate the catenary and rail voltages with the loop equation. When there are more than one train in the AC electric railroad system, the principle of superposition applies and the only difference between the system analyses for one train. Finally, this paper shows the general equation of an AC electric railroad system, and that equation has no relation with trains number, trains position, and feeding distance.

  • Love which is one of the emotional of mankind, has been studied in sociology and psychology as a matter of grate concern. In this paper We represent romantic behaviors in the love equation of Romeo and Juliet as time series and phase portraits. Also we analyze the behavior's relation by using time series and phase portraits when external force applied as the third person between Romeo and Juliet.

  • The investigation includes phase equilibria of Al2O3-HfO2 Cr2O3-ZrO2, Cr2O3-HfO2, Al2O3-Cr2O3-ZrO2, Al2O3-Cr2O3-HfO2, Al2O3-ZrO2-HfO2, Cr2O3-ZrO2-HfO2, Al2O3-Cr2O3-ZrO2-HfO2. In the systems the solubility near the end members has been studied at 1500$^{\circ}C$ and 1600$^{\circ}C$, respectively. Selective Compositions were investigated in the area of the guarternary system where the phae relation was examined.

  • Various kinds of practical machines using single phase induction motor(SPIM) are necessary to control speed and torque. In particular, capacitor-run type SPIM has constitutional characteristics, the motor torque is changed by auxiliary capacitance variation. In this study, we manifest equivalent model having more simplicity, and study the relation between torque and capacitance value of SPIM. And analyze Magnetic vibration for FEM(Finite Element Method) simulation. Also, We design the experimental controller which is able to speed control accurately by phase angle control of AC input voltage. Through the simulation and experimental results, we confirmed validity of this study.

Shear waves propagation in an initially stressed piezoelectric layer imperfectly bonded over a micropolar elastic half space

  • The present study investigates the propagation of shear waves in a composite structure comprised of imperfectly bonded piezoelectric layer with a micropolar half space. Piezoelectric layer is considered to be initially stressed. Micropolar theory of elasticity has been employed which is most suitable to explain the size effects on small length scale. The general dispersion equations for the existence of waves in the coupled structure are obtained analytically in the closed form. Some particular cases have been discussed and in one particular case the dispersion relation is in well agreement to the classical-Love wave equation. The effects of various parameters viz. initial stress, interfacial imperfection and micropolarity on the phase velocity are obtained for electrically open and mechanically free system. Numerical computations are carried out and results are depicted graphically to illustrate the utility of the problem. The phase velocity of the shear waves is found to be influenced by initial stress, interface imperfection and the presence of micropolarity in the elastic half space. The theoretical results obtained are useful for the design of high performance surface acoustic devices.
