There are various anti-jamming algorithms for the GNSS system which is vulnerable to jamming, and the methods using array antenna show the best performance. Among them, the DOA estimation algorithms to identify the location of the jammer is very important. However, in case of the rotorcraft, the wireless channel which amplitude and phase changes with time is generated by the rotation of the rotor and it affects the performance of existing anti-jamming algorithms. In this paper, we modeled the effect of the rotor in four scenarios according to the correlation of antennas and assured that the performance of DOA estimation algorithms are degraded and saturated regardless of JNR due to the rotor effect. When we use the averaging method to solve this problem, the performance is improved as increasing samples for estimating. And in case of using moving average method with averaging, it shows similar performance. In addition, it reduces the required memory and moderates the variation of DOA estimation.
In general, as the amplitude and phase information of the physical layer channel impulse response change rapidly in time and frequency according to the high-speed movement of the vehicles in V2X communication systems, it is difficult to accurately estimate these channels at the receiving end. In order to effectively overcome this problem, midamble-based channel estimation methods in which mid-ambles are periodically inserted into a packet have been recently considered. However, as the number of midambles increases, we suffer from the spectral efficiency loss. To relieve such a loss, in this paper, we propose a new bidirectional averaging channel estimation method that combines the existing data pilot-based channel estimation methods and the mid-ambles. Finally, through the simulation results, we demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the existing mid-amble method in terms of packet error rate with fewer number of mid-ambles.
In this thesis, the lead-lag compensator is designed to improve output characteristics of flyback zero voltage switching quasi-resonant converters. The switch and the diode are assumed ideally. And the SMPS is modelled by state equations with four operation modes. And the model for controller design is also achived by using a state space averaging method, which is continuous time average of state variables every period. The lag, the lead and the lead-lag compensator is designed the SMPS respectively. The time domain analysis and the frequency domain analysis are done for each compensated circuit. It is possible increasing the phase margin and improving the transient response by the compensators. The phase lag compensator has small overshoot comparatively. But the bandwidth is narrower than the others, so it has longest settling time. For the phase lead compensator, the response come to steady-state within short period. But the overshoot is the largest due to its large peak gain. Finally, the phase lead-lag compensator has medium characteristics in the overshoot and the settling time.

This paper describes an effort to develop a microcomputer-based parameter identification system for three phase and two phase brushless DC motor. Back EMF equation is derived from back EMF waveform of three phase and two phase brushless DC motor. In this paper, a new identification algorithm for the brushless DC motor parameters by Pasek's technique is de veloped. It is found that Pasek's equation is valid for the brushless DC motor, too. The results obtained clearly shows that it is possible to implement the identification system for the determination of the brushless DC motor parameters. To minimize errors due to the ripple component in the measured armature current, dlgital averaging filter is employed. The whole identification process of signal generation, measuring, parameter determination is fully automated. The use of the pmpased method in the parameter identification system shows that the averaged current curve is in excellent agreement with the estimated current curve. Therefore, this close agreement conf i i the validity of this technique.
Three-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifiers are usually designed under the assumption of ideal ac power supply and input inductance. However, non-ideal circuit parameters may lead to a voltage collapse of PWM rectifiers. This paper investigates the mechanism of voltage collapse in three-phase PWM rectifiers. An analytical stability boundary expression is derived by analyzing the equilibrium point of the averaging state space model, which can not only accurately locate the voltage collapse boundary in the circuit parameter domain, but also reveal the essential characteristic of the voltage collapse. Results are obtained and compared with those of the trial-error method and the Jacobian method. Based on the analysis results, the system parameters can be divided into two categories. One of these categories affects the critical point, and other affects only the instability process. Furthermore, an effective control strategy is proposed to prevent a vulnerable system from being driven into the instability region. The analysis results are verified by the experiments.

The turbulent properties in a mixed statistically stationary flow were investigated experimentally by a pseudo stereoscopic PIV. In order to validate the experimental results, the profiles of the turbulent kinetic energy were evaluated with the flow features. A mechanical agitator having 6 blades was installed at the bottom of the mixing tank (D=60cm, H=60cm). The agitator was rotated with 80rpm clockwise and counter-clockwise. For the measurements, three cameras were used and all were synchronized. The images captured by one of the three cameras was used for the measurement of rotational speed, and the images captured by the other two cameras were used to measure three dimensional components of velocity vectors. All vectors captured at the same rotational angle were phase averaged to construct three-dimensional vector fields to reconstruct the spatial distribution of the flow properties. It was seen that the jet scrolling along the tank was the main source of mixing.

The effects of thermal stratification on the flow of a stratified fluid past a heated circular cylinder were examined in a wind tunnel. Turbulent intensities, rms values of temperature and turbulent convective heat flux distributions in the heated cylinder wake with and without thermal stratification were measured by using a hot-wire and cold-wire combination probe. A phase averaging method was also used to estimated coherent motion in the near wake. It is found that the vertical turbulent motion in the stably stratified flow case dissipates faster than that of the neutral case, i.e., vertical growth of vortical structure is suppressed under the strongly stratified condition. The coherent motion of temperature makes a large contribution like velocity coherent motion. However, the coherent motions of temperature fluctuation become very different with the change of experimental conditions, though the velocity coherent motions are quite similar in all experimental conditions.

This study describes the results of the analysis of measured rotating stall signal in a centrifugal compressor with vaneless diffuser. Unsteady flow and rotating stall in vaneless diffuser were investigated by measuring of unsteady velocity fluctuation using hot-wire anemometer. Experiments were carried out in several impeller rotating speeds, at different radius ratios. Single hot -wire was used to study the characteristics of rotating stall. As a result, the abrupt rotating stall was detected at all measured impeller rotating speeds and the several flow coefficients which are less than 0.16. The number of the stall cell was one at all measured rotational speeds, and the rotating direction was the same as that of the impeller. As the flow rate decreased, the profile of the phase averaged radial velocity component with time changed from a sawtooth to a sine wave.
A robust all-fiber nonlinear amplifying loop-mirror-based mode-locked femtosecond laser is demonstrated. Power-dependent nonlinear phase shift in a Sagnac loop enables stable and power-efficient mode-locking working as an artificial saturable absorber. The pump power is adjusted to achieve the lowest intensity noise for stable long-term operation. The minimum pump power for mode-locking is 180 mW, and the optimal pump power is 300 mW. The lowest integrated root-mean-square relative intensity noise of a free-running mode-locked laser is 0.009% [integration bandwidth: 1 Hz-10 MHz]. The long-term repetition-rate instability of a free-running mode-locked laser is 10-7 over 1,000 s averaging time. The repetition-rate phase noise scaled at 10-GHz carrier is -122 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz Fourier frequency. The demonstrated method can be applied as a seed source in high-precision real-time mid-infrared molecular spectroscopy.

This paper describes a phase-locked loop (PLL) that generates a 51-phase clock with the operating frequency of 125MHz. To generate 51-phase clock with a frequency of 125 MHz, the proposed PLL uses three voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) which are connected by resistors. Each VCO consists of 17 delay-cells. An resistor averaging scheme, which makes three VCOs to connect with each other, makes it possible to generates 51-phase clock of the same phase difference. The proposed PLL is designed by using 65 nm CMOS process with a 1.0 V supply. At the operating frequency of 125 MHz, the simulated DNL and peak-to-peak jitter are +0.0016/-0.0020 LSB and 1.07 ps, respectively. The area and power consumption of the implemented PLL are $290{\times}260{\mu}m^2$ and 2.5 mW, respectively.
