지역적 정보 공유를 활용하는 멀티 에이전트 시스템 기반의 공급사슬 관리 아키텍쳐 (A Multi-agent Architecture for Coordination of Supply Chains with Local Information Sharing)

  • Multi-agent technology is being regarded as one of the promising technologies for today's supply chain management because of its desirable features such as autonomy, intelligence, and collaboration. This paper suggests a multi-agent system architecture with which companies can improve the efficiency of their supply chains by collaborative operation. Reflecting the practical difficulties of collaboration in complex supply chains, the architecture allows agent systems to share information with only neighboring companies for the coordinated operation. The suggested architecture is elaborated with a collaboration model based on Petri-net, conversation models for communication, and internal behavior models of each agent. A simulation experiment was performed for the evaluation of the suggested architecture. The result implies that when the estimation of market demand is higher than a certain level, the suggested architecture can be beneficial.

  • The surge of Internet traffic makes the bottleneck nowadays. This problem can be reduced by substituting the media of network, routers and switches with more high-performance goods. However, we focused radically the server performance of processing the service requests. We prepose the method improving performance of server in the Linux kernel stack. This accelerator accepts the requests from many clients, and processes them using not user threads but kernel thread. To do so, we can reduce the overhead caused by frequent calling of system calls and the overhead of context switching between threads. Furthermore, we implement CPN(Coloured Petri Net) model. By using the CPN model criteria, we can analyze the characteristics of operation times in addition to the reachability of system. Benchmark of the system proves the model is valid.

  • 본 논문은 멀티미디어 페트리 넷을 분석하는 방법을 제공한다. 멀티미디어 시나리오는 결정적으로 진행됨으로 멀티미디어 페트리 넷은 마크드그래프라야 한다. 또한, 멀티미디어 시나리오는 시작 화면에서 시작하여 멀티미디어를 구성하는 모든 화면을 차례로 출력하고 종료 화면에서 끝나야 함으로 멀티미디어 페트리 넷은 Start place에만 하나의 토큰이 놓인 상태에서 격발을 진행하면 모든 트랜지션을 꼭 한번씩 격발한 다음 End place에만 꼭 하나의 토큰이 놓인 상태에 도달하는 성질이 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 성질들을 바탕으로 멀티미디어 시나리오의 무결성을 검사하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 멀티미디어 페트리 넷의 분석 방법을 제공한다.

  • For Video on Demand(VoD) servers, a design of an efficient scheduler is important to the support a large number of clients having various playback speeds and receiving rates. In this paper, we propose the scheduling algorithm to handle establishing deadlines and selection using the earliest deadline first. To establish deadlines and selections, the period of the receiving rates for each client is located between the over-max receiving rate and the over-playback rate. To avoid video starvation and the buffer overflow of each client, the proposed algorithm guarantees providing the admission control. Because of establishing deadlines and selection, period of each client receiving is between one over max receiving rate and one over play back rate. Using Virtual Buffer in server, scheduling load is reduced. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is verified using a Petri Net_Based simulation tool, Exspect.

  • Assembly is usually performed by one robot and fixtures. This type of assembly system has Low flexibility in terms of variety of parts and part-presentation that the system can handle. This paper addresses assembly without fixtures using two-manipulator robot. An active method using force feedback is proposed for the peg-in-hole assembly in highly uncertain environment. Assembly states are described by extended contact relations. Qualitative templates for events are easily derived from the token vector of the Petrinet model. The states are recognized through identification of the events using two 6-d.o.f force/moment sensors. The proposed method is verified and evaluated through experiments with round peg- in-hole assembly.

  • In this work, an automatic software verification method for Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) protection system is developed. This method utilizes Colored Petri net (CPN) for modeling and Prototype Verification system (PVS) for mathematical verification. In order to help flow-through from modeling by CPN to mathematical proof by PVS, a translator has been developed in this work. The combined method has been applied to a protection system function of Wolsong NPP SDS2(Steam Generator Low Level Trip)and found to be promising for further research and applications.

  • This paper describes a noble fault diagnosis method using inter node search technique in PN model. First, a complicated fault system is modeled as PN graphic expressions. Next, to find out sources for faults on which we focus, the PN model is analyzed using the backward chaining of T-invariance. In this step, the technique of inter node search is applied for reducing some range of sources in a fault. Also, colnposing method of incidence matrix in PN is proposed. Then, it makes the diagnosis system to very flelible system because new knowledges about the sources in a fault can be added easily to conventional systems. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the automobile trouble diagnosis system to confirm the validity of the method.

밀결합 멀티프로세서 시스템의 구현 및 성능평가 (Implementation and Performance Evaluation of a Tightly-Coupled Multiprocessor System)

  • In this paper, a tightly-coupled multiprocessor system is implemented with four processing elements based on MC68000 CPU, a common menory (128KB), and a single time-shared bus. The multi-tasking operating system, MTOS, is modified so that the multiprocessor system can support multitasking and multiprocessing. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated by stochastic Petri Net system modeling. The efficiency and the processing power are simulated for various load factors and up to 16 PEs. By running benchmark programs, such as quicksort, FFT, and matrix-multiplication, the speed of parallel processing is compared with that of a single processor.

  • Since the radio spectrum is limited, future wireless system will have micro cellular architecture in order to provide multimedia traffic services on personal communicatons network. The small coverage area of micro cellular systems results in frequent hadnoffs and location updates. We focuse on network load and terminal power due to frequent location updates and propose a location tracking scheme using embedded-pager PCS terminals. The proposed scheme is expected to minimize theconsumption of PCS terminal powr and improve the receiving rate of callee because of the power saving mechanism and the embedded-pager PCS terminal. This paper proposes signaling flows among the network elements for the proposed location tracking scheme. The signaling flows are accomodated to not only the existed network architectures but alsothe ATM backbone network arcitecture. To verify the signaling flows, we used petri-Net model. The resutls show that the signaling flows are suitable to our proposed location tracking scheme.

  • 時分割 버스 구조를 갖는 멀티프로세서 시스템의 단점을 보완하기 위하여 각 PE의 로칼메모리를 다른 PE가 직접 액세스하는 것이 가능하도록 시스템 버스를 提案하였다. 이를 위하여 이중 입출 메모리 콘트롤러와 중재기를 설계하였으며 이를 이용한 멀티프로세서 시스템의 具現例를 보였다. 性能評價를 위하여 SPN에 의한 모델링과 부하율에 따른 processing power, 效率 및 시스템 버스의 이용율을 측정하였다.
