중공 복합사 직물의 기공도 특성이 고감성 의류용 직물의 쾌적특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Porosity Characteristics of Hollow Composite Yarns to the Comfort Property of the Fabrics for the High Emotional Garment)

  • The wearing comfort of garment is governed by two kinds of characteristics such as moisture and thermal transport properties and mechanical properties of fabrics. The porosity influenced by yarn and fabric structural parameters is known as main factor for wearing comfort of garment related to the moisture and thermal transport properties. This study investigated effect of porosity of composite yarns to the moisture and thermal comfort properties of composite fabrics made of hollow composite DTY and ATY yarns. The theoretical porosity and pore size were inversely proportional to cover factor of fabric, but cover factor was not correlated with experimental pore size. The wicking property of hydrophobic PET filament fabric showed inferior result irrespective of porosity, pore size and cover factor. The drying rate was superior at composite fabrics with high pore size and low cover factor, and pore size was dominant factor for drying property. On the other hand, thermal conductivity of composite fabric was mainly influenced by cover factor and not influenced by porosity. Air permeability was influenced by both porosity and cover factor and was highly increased with increasing porosity and decreasing fabric cover factor.

저융점 폴리에스터 자카드직물의 물성에 대한 열처리 효과 (Effect of Heat Treatment on the Physical Properties of LM PET Jacquard Fabrics)

  • There has been an increasing demand for high performance and energy-saving of blind. In order to develop the eco-friendly blind textiles, heat treatment process has been utilized for LM(Low Melting) polyester fabrics and the changes of the physical properties of the treated fabrics were examined according to temperature of heat treatment. Morphology, surface reflectance, contact angle, luster, thermal property and mechanical property of heat treated LM polyester fabrics were investigated. As results, morphology analysis of thermal treated fabrics confirmed that degree of fusion of LM polyester yarns improved with increase of temperature. Surface reflectance of thermal treated fabrics decreased with increase of temperature. Luster and contact angle of a water droplet on thermal treated fabrics increased slightly with increase of temperature. The mechanical properties of the fabrics by KES-FB system were found to be temperature-dependent and especially, bending and shear properties among them were highly related to temperature.

딥러닝 기반의 반려묘 모니터링 및 질병 진단 시스템 (Cat Monitoring and Disease Diagnosis System based on Deep Learning)

  • Recently, several ICT-based cat studies have produced some successful results, according to academic and industry sources. However, research on the level of simply identifying the cat's condition, such as the behavior and sound classification of cats based on images and sound signals, has yet to be found. In this paper, based on the veterinary scientific knowledge of cats, a practical and academic cat monitoring and disease diagnosis system is proposed to monitor the health status of the cat 24 hours a day by automatically categorizing and analyzing the behavior of the cat with location information using LSTM with a beacon sensor and a raspberry pie that can be built at low cost. Validity of the proposed system is verified through experimentation with cats in actual custody (the accuracy of the cat behavior classification and location identification was 96.3% and 92.7% on average, respectively). Furthermore, a rule-based disease analysis system based on the veterinary knowledge was designed and implemented so that owners can check whether or not the cats have diseases at home (or can be used as an auxiliary tool for diagnosis by a pet veterinarian).

스포츠웨어 착용에 따른 운동시 온열생리반응에 미치는 영향 (Physiological Responses to Different Exercise Intensities while Wearing Different Types of Sportswear Materials)

  • For the purpose of examining the relationship of physiological and subjective responses to different exercise intensities and varied types of sportswear material, under environmental condition $20{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ $50{\pm}3%$RH, five men who wear four different kinds of sportswear which have same clothing cover area. The subjects exercised for 20 min with a 20 min pre-exercise rest period and another 20 min post-exercise recovery period. Throughout the 60 min. duration, we monitored the local skin temperature, rectal temperature, clothing microclimate and subjective sensation. The mean skin temperature was recorded to range from $33.5{\sim}34.1^{\circ}C$ for the entire duration of the experiment with the highest temperature observed at the 7th min after starting the exercise. During the exercise intensity at THR 20, the lowest recorded temperature was at the 5th min of the recovery time and stabilized at the 10th min. However, in the exercise intensity condition at THR 70, the temperature declined steadily until the end of the experiment. With regard to clothing materials, cotton 100% and Polyester/Cotton blended fabrics knit(35/65) was $0.5{\sim}0.7^{\circ}C$ maintained lower than Polyester 100% and polyester/Cotton blended woven fabrics (65/35). In the case of the rectal temperature at THR 70 in case of PET 100%, Polyester/Cotton blended woven fabrics (35/65) was higher $0.2{\sim}0.5^{\circ}C$ than other sportswear throughout the duration of the experiment.

조선대학교 사이클로트론 시설의 RI 배기필터 성능평가 및 18F 배출저감 연구 (Performance of the RI Exhaust Filter at Chosun University Cyclotron Facility and 18F Emission Reduction)

  • Recently, the number of PET cyclotrons has increased in Korea. A cyclotron mainly produces $^{18}F$, which is used for the production of [$^{18}F$]FDG, a cancer diagnostic radiopharmaceutical. For radiation protection, the discharge control standard under the Nuclear Safety Act limits the radioactive concentration of $^{18}F$ in the exhaust discharged from a nuclear power utilization facility to below $2,000Bq\;m^{-3}$. However, the radioactive concentration of $^{18}F$ discharged during [$^{18}F$]FDG production at the cyclotron facility at Chosun University is maintained at about $1,500Bq\;m^{-3}$ on average, which is 75% of the concentration limit of the discharge control standard, and temporarily exceeds the standard as per the real-time monitoring results. This study evaluated the performance of the exhaust filter unit of the cyclotron facility at Chosun University by assessing the concentration of $^{18}F$ in the exhaust, and an experiment was conducted on the discharge reduction, where $^{18}F$ is discharged without reacting with the FDG precursors during [$^{18}F$]FDG synthesis and is immediately captured by the [$^{18}F$]FDG automatic synthesis unit. Based on the performance evaluation results of the exhaust filter at the cyclotron facility of Chosun University, the measured capture efficiency before and after the filter was found to be 92%. Furthermore, the results of the discharge reduction experiment, where the exhaust $^{18}F$ was immediately captured by the [$^{18}F$]FDG synthesizer, showed a very satisfactory 94.3% reduction in the concentration of discharge compared to the existing discharge concentration.

Development of Freeze-Dried DOTMP Kits for Labeling with 68Ga

  • Lyophilized DOTMP kits were prepared using DOTMP, ammonium acetate, and ascorbic acid. The $^{68}Ga$-DOTMP was prepared by incubating the kit dissolved in 0.5 ml of concentrated $^{68}Ga$ using NaCl method and 0.5 ml of DDW, at $100^{\circ}C$ for 7 min. The labeling yield was evaluated by two solvent systems of TLC. 1 MBq of concentrated $^{68}Ga$ was labeled with $0.8{\mu}g$ of DOTMP by high radiolabeling yield (>98%), which was determined by two TLC methods. The composition of the prepared freeze-dried vial is $400{\mu}g$ of DOTMP, 19.27 mg of ammonium acetate and 17.62 mg of ascorbic acid. ~555 MBq of $^{68}Ga$-DOTMP was prepared with excellent radiochemical purity (>98%) and it was stable for 4 hr at room temperature. In conclusion, Freeze-dried DOTMP kits for the convenient preparation of $^{68}Ga$-DOTMP have been developed. Availability of this kit is expected to stimulate the widespread use of $^{68}Ga$-DOTMP in the fields of nuclear medicine.

Investigation of dry dog food market trends and valuation of carbohydrate sources for dog diets

  • Plant-based, grain-free, and gluten-free diets have been the focus of recent research, as part of the premiumization trend in dog food. However, the lack of comprehensive information regarding carbohydrates in dog food makes it difficult to produce nutritionally balanced meals. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the nutritional value of carbohydrate ingredients commonly used in commercial dog foods. First, using data from Euromonitor, we investigated the trends in the dry dog food industry and analyzed the annual volume of dry dog food sales, as well as the dog population from 2010 to 2021 in Korea. The growth of the market was greatest in 2021, when the total value of sales of premium dry dog food was 254.3 billion KRW (Korean won) more than in 2010. In addition, sales of dry dog food by age category were marked by a significant increase (404.8%) in the market for dry food for senior dogs. Second, we examined the frequency of carbohydrate ingredients used in dry dog food and conducted a proximate analysis of the top 10 most frequently used ingredients. Subsequently, we analyzed the crude protein, crude fat, and nitrogen-free extract in the carbohydrate ingredients based on dry matter (DM) and calculated the ratio of metabolic energy content supplied from each nutrient in the carbohydrate ingredients. The ratio of metabolic energy content in the carbohydrate ingredients indicated that mung beans had the highest crude protein content (31.3%), whereas oats exhibited the highest crude fat content (23.3%). Sweet potatoes had the highest nitrogen-free extract content, measuring at 93.6%. The results of this study are expected to provide a valuable foundation for the growth and development of the domestic dog food industry, while also contributing to a deeper understanding of the specific role of each ingredient as a carbohydrate source.

순환식 수경재배에 적합한 방울토마토 '꼬꼬' 배양액 개발 (Development of Optimal Nutrient Solution of Cherry Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. 'KoKo') in a Closed Soilless Culture System)

  • The experiment was conducted to investigate the nutrition absorption pattern in the growth stage and develope the optimal nutrient solution hydroponically grown the cherry tomato 'Koko' in closed substrate culture system with the nutrient solution of National Horticultural Research Station in Japan into 1/2S, 1S, and 2S. When plant was grown in 1/2S, the growth and yield were high and the pH and EC in the root zone were stable. Suitable composition of nutrient solution for cherry tomato was $NO_3-N\;6.8,\;PO_4-P\;2.7,\;K 3.2,\;Ca\;3.6\;and\;Mg\;1.1\;me\;L^{-1}$ in the early growth stage, $NO_3-N\;7.3,\;PO_4-P\;2.2,\;K\;3.7,\;Ca\;3.6;and\;Mg\;1.1\;me\;L^{-1}$ in the late growth stage by calculating a rate of nutrient and water uptake. To estimate the suitability for the nutrient solution in a development of cherry tomato developed by Wongkwang university in Korea (WU), plant was grown in perlite substrate supplied with different solution and strengths(S) by research station for greenhouse vegetable and floriculture in the Netherlands (Proefstation voor tuinbouw onder glas th Mssldwijk; PTG) of 1/2S, 1S, and 2S, respectively. The growth was good at the PTG and WU 2S in the early stage and the PTG of 1S and WU of 1S and 2S in the late stage. The highest yield of cherry tomato obtained in the WU of 2S. pH and EC in root zone of WU of 2S were stable during the early and late growth stage. Therefore when cherry tomato plant was grown in WU of 2S of EC $1.6{\sim}2.0\;dS\;m^{-1}$in the nutrient solution, not only stable growth and yield but also fertilizer reduction can be obtained than that of PTG.

감성의류용 형상기억 PP직물 소재 개발과 물성분석 (Development and Analysis of Physical Property of PP Shape Memory Fabrics for Emotional Garment)

  • 이 연구는 감성의류용 형상기억 메모리직물의 제조 방법과 물성을 조사하기 위해 저온열처리와 정장열처리 가연법을 폴리프로필렌 POY와 SDY에 각각 적용하고 이들 사를 사용하여 PP형상기억메모리 직물을 air-jet직기에서 제조하였다. 물성비교를 위해서 PET와 PTT형상기억메모리 직물도 같이 제직하여 4가지 형상기억 메모리 직물시료를 만들고 이들의 여러 가지 물성을 측정 비료분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. PP형상기억 메모리 직물에 사용하기 위해 저온가연법과 정장열처리법에 의해 만든 PP가연사의 물성은 절단강 신도가제직성에 문제가 없는 값을 가졌으며 특히 열수축율이 습열은 1.5% 이하 건열은 3~5% 범위를 가짐으로써 PTT의 5~8%의 높은 열수축율에 비해 열적 안정성을 가졌다. PP형상기억 메모리 소재의 변형된 형태를 유지하는 소성적 성능 특성 평가법인 Toray 방추성 평가는 PP소재가 PTT와 같은 5급을 나타냄으로써 우수한 변형 유지특성을 보였다. 또한 PP형상기억 메모리소재의 보온성은 PTT소재보다 약 56% 향상된 결과를 보였으며 스프레이법에 의한 발수성은 PTT소재에 발수처리한 소재와 동일하게 5급의 우수한 발수성을 보였다. 그리고 PP형상기억 메모리소재의 형상기억 특성을 평가 할 목적으로 3D 이미지 방법과 카메라 측정결과 PTT소재와 비슷한 형상기억 특성을 보임을 확인 할 수 있었다.

스크린 프린팅 기법을 이용한 눈부심 방지 기술 개발 (Development of Anti-Glare Coating Technique Using Screen Printing)

  • 본 논문에서는 옥외용 디스플레이의 눈부심 방지 강화유리 생산 방법을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 옥외용 디스플레이를 위한 커버글라스의 주요 사양은 내강도와 눈부심 방지이다. 내강도는 커버글라스를 고온로에서 열처리한 강화유리를 사용하여 그 요구 사양을 만족시키고 눈부심 방지를 위해서는 AG(Anti-Glare)필름을 강화 유리에 접착하여 주로 사용한다. 그러나 필름 형태의 눈부심 방지기술은 PET 필름자체의 내마모성이 3H정도로 취약하여 AG 성능이 지속적으로 유지되기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 AG 필름이 가지는 내구성의 단점을 보완하고 기존 강화유리 생산 공정을 이용하는 눈부심 방지 기술을 제안하였다. 제안된 눈부심 방지 코팅은 ZBS ($ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2$) 분말을 유리 표면에 도포하고 강화공정을 수행하여 내구 강도와 눈부심 방지 성능을 높일 수 있도록 하였다. ZBS 분말을 유리 표면에 도포하기 위해서는 스크린 프린팅 공정을 이용하여 분말이 유리표면에 균일하게 도포되도록 하였다. 스크린 프린팅 시 고려되어야 하는 주요 변수는 분말을 희석하기 위한 오일의 농도와 메쉬 오프닝 사이즈이다. 이 두 변수의 설정에 따라 스크린 프린팅 공정에서 도포되는 ZBS 분말의 양이 조절되므로 이에 대한 상관관계를 실험을 통해 규명하였다. 제안된 제조 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 상업용 시장에서 널리 사용되는 haze, 표면 거칠기 및 투과도를 성능 지표로 선정하였고 눈부심 방지를 위해 일반적으로 사용되는 AG필름과 비교하여 그 성능을 검증하였다. 비교 결과 제안된 제조 방법에 의한 강화유리의 투과도는 AG필름의 89.5%보다 다소 감소한 83.1%이지만 막강도는 7H로 두배 이상 향상됨을 확인하였다.
