The Design Protection Act of Korea classifies industrial designs into examined-based and unexamined-based articles. For design application and registration under the DPA, applicable product for the design needs to be chosen in order for it to be registered. Clothing and personal belongings under class B in the classification list are subject to unexamined-based articles. A sound and logical classification system will lead to higher administrative efficiency as well as assurance of more convenience for the system users. This paper examines the suitability of the design classification for clothing and personal belongings and purposes to suggest improvements.

The definition of the 'Pocket', according to the Korean encyclopedia, is an accessory that a person puts in small belongings or money and carry on waist or holds with a hand. Since the pockets were not attached to the clothes at that period of time, the portable bag or pocket had been used without distinction of age or sex for carrying personal belongings. The pocket in France was also used in a similar manner, where it was used as a handbag to carry purse, comb, or a key by women during the middle ages. The pockets were decorated, made of quality material such as velvet, silk, or satin with splendid embroidery or beads. This study closely examines the history of the pocket from late 16th century around Renaissance to early 20th century in France and during the mid Cho-Sun dynasty in Korea and compares the different kinds of patterns, symbolism, and the purpose of the pockets. In addition, the relationships between the pockets, belongings, and ornament are examined as well by thoroughly investigating the unique characteristics of the pocket of each country.
Smartphone is very much ingrained into our lives and it has propagated rapidly. With the growing expansion of smartphone, the number of lost smartphones has proliferated all the while. Unlike common personal belongings, smartphone is a high-priced goods and has personal information. In case it gets lost or stolen, it will cause monetary damage as well as secondary damage of personal information leaks. To lesson the damage, diverse applications that prevent the loss of a smartphone have been developed. But existing applications place emphasis on providing countermeasures that tracks the missing smartphones. Therefore, this paper describes the design and implementation of a smartphone application which provides precautionary functions to prevent the loss of a smartphone and countermeasures to track the missing smartphone. The implemented application prevents the loss of a smartphone using satefy zone and movement detection. In the event we lose a smartphone, it helps us recover a lost property using location tracking and remote control functions quickly and efficiently.

In this paper we will discuss a general idea about an information system which provides information a user really needs in user's authentication. We will discuss how RFID could be applied for this kind of system especially from the standpoint of using RFID as a way to collect information of personal belongings. Also we will discuss security issues of using RFID as a component of the proposed system because while RFID could provide usefulness, it could also be very dangerous for revealing private information without user's awareness.
This study investigated legal environments on customers' experiences of accidential losses in a restaurant service. A wide review of the cases showed that restaurant customers' experiences of accidential losses are classified into 11 types as follows; loss of personal belongings with posted warning, loss of personal longings without posted warning, injuries in a restaurant with posted warning, injuries in a restaurant without posted warning, injuries while eating, food poisoning, injuries from defective tablewares, allergic reactions, illegal or unsanitary food supplies, and false labeling of countries of origin. The results of this exploratory study revealed that the respondents had experienced some out of those 11 incidents in average 2.6 times in all of their restaurant visits, and the incidents frequently happened in independent restaurants rather than in fast-food establishments, family restaurants, or hotel restaurants. The results also showed that the accidents from illegal or unsanitary food supplies was happened most frequently and false labeling of countries of origin was mostly anticipated increasing in the future.
