  • The microwave Radar used for special purposes in the past is being applied in various areas due to the technological advancement and cost reduction, and is particularly applied to autonomous driving in the automobile field. The FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) Radar can acquire level information of liquid in vessel based on the beat frequency obtained by continuously transmitting and receiving signals by modulating the frequency over time. However, for cryogenic fluids with small impedance differences between liquid medium and gas medium, such as liquid nitrogen and liquid hydrogen, it is difficult to apply a typical Radar-based level meter. In this study, we develop an 80 GHz FMCW Radar for level measurement of cryogenic fluids with small impedance differences between media and analyze its characteristics. Here, because of the low intrinsic impedance difference, most of the transmitted signal passes through the liquid nitrogen interface and is reflected at the bottom of the vessel. To solve this problem, a radar measurement algorithm was designed to detect multiple targets and separate the distance signal to the bottom of the vessel in order to estimate the precise position on the liquid nitrogen interface. Thereafter, performance verification experiments were performed according to the liquid nitrogen level using the developed radar level meter.

Mid-level Feature Extraction Method Based Transfer Learning to Small-Scale Dataset of Medical Images with Visualizing Analysis

  • In fine-tuning-based transfer learning, the size of the dataset may affect learning accuracy. When a dataset scale is small, fine-tuning-based transfer-learning methods use high computing costs, similar to a large-scale dataset. We propose a mid-level feature extractor that retrains only the mid-level convolutional layers, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced computing costs. This mid-level feature extractor is likely to provide an effective alternative in training a small-scale medical image dataset. The performance of the mid-level feature extractor is compared with the performance of low- and high-level feature extractors, as well as the fine-tuning method. First, the mid-level feature extractor takes a shorter time to converge than other methods do. Second, it shows good accuracy in validation loss evaluation. Third, it obtains an area under the ROC curve (AUC) of 0.87 in an untrained test dataset that is very different from the training dataset. Fourth, it extracts more clear feature maps about shape and part of the chest in the X-ray than fine-tuning method.

  • In this paper, the design of boiler drum level control system is important in power plant is studied. First of all, pressure compansation of level for boiler drum which is close tank with high temperature and pressure is designed. Physical penomena of drum level are analysed, controllers are designed, and simulation results are shown. Designed controller have a good performance compare with PI controller. Predictive controller of boiler drum level control system is proposed. It will be good system for boiler drum level control to reject the disturbance according to lead increase or decrease.

Analysis on the contents and satisfaction level of the dental hygiene students' Clinical Practice (치위생과 학생의 임상실습 내용과 만족도 분석)

  • Objectives : This research identified the frequency and satisfaction level of the observation and performance practice during the clinical practice process conducted by dental hygiene students. With the goal of providing base data required for the development and operation of increasingly effective clinical practice program and for the improvement of the existing clinical practice training. Methods : The subjects in this study were 278 students of a university located in Masan. Survey comprised of 49 questions in 10 clinical practice domains was conducted. Results : 1. As for the observation practice by each grade, there was significant difference in oral radiology, pediatric dentistry, periodontology, oral surgery(p<0.05). As for the performance practice executed for each grade, there was significant difference in the oral radiology, preventive dentistry and oral surgery(p<0.05). As for the satisfaction level for each grade, there was significant difference in basic medical service(p<0.05). 2. As for the observation practice by each clinical practice institution, there was significant difference in oral medicine, oral radiology, preventive dentistry, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and oral surgery(p<0.05). As for the performance practice executed by each practice institution, there was significant difference in basic medical service, oral medicine, oral radiology, operative dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery(p<0.05). As for the satisfaction level by each practice institution, there was significant difference in the oral radiology, preventive dentistry, operative dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery(p<0.05). Conclusions : As for the satisfaction level for the clinical practice, basic medical service is the crimary care clinical practice which is most basic and that is executed the most in a dental clinic. Satisfaction level was the highest in the domains where there were extensive observation and practice frequency. By conducting observation and practice frequency in the clinical practice process by each clinical practice domain in a broad and diverse manner, it would be possible to improve the ability of the clinical practice trainees who improve their clinical work execution capability and satisfaction level on the clinical practice.

  • CSA(Control Self Assessment) is a new internal control technique whose objective is to control the human resource performance, the manager's philosophy, the business ethics, the effective communication and decision making etc. The purpose of this study is to find out if the CSA improve the quality of internal control. With the questionnaire method the following conclusions are reached. 1) Level of the management supports influence the level of the workshop participation. 2) Anonymity during the workshop session influences the level of workshop participation. 3) Level of the organizational committment influences the level of the participation 4) The level of workshop performance significantly influences the level of internal contro improvement.

  • This paper proposes an efficient system level simulation method for MIMO-OFDM based system in the multi-cell environment. The proposed method analyzes effects of the cell structure, radio channel characteristics and user mobility. The user mobility effect on the system level performance is considered in both channel gain and distance. The receiver SINR calculation procedure is presented in the system which adopts MIMO-OFDM scheme under various system environments. This method can be flexibly extensible to various system environments and provides computationally efficient system level simulation technique which utilizes link level performance analysis. Extensive computer simulations results are presented to obtain the system performance in the various mobile cellular channels using the proposed method. Also this results are analyzed based on the packet error rate for different distances between the base station located in the center of the cell and the mobile user.

EFFECTS OF LYSINE LEVEL AND NA+K-CI RATIO ON LUSINE-ARGININE ANTAGONISM, BLOOD pH, BLOOD ACID-BASE PARAMETERS AND GROWTH PERFORMANCE IN BROILER CHICKS

  • To determine the effect of sodium plus potassium to chloride ratio and lysine level on blood pH, blood acid-base parameters, lysine-arginine antagonism and growth performance, four hundred and thirty two chicks of 3 days age were used in a completely randomized $3{\times}3$ factorial experiment. Variables contained three levels of lysine (0.8, 1.2 and 1.6%) and dietary electrolyte (100, 200 and 300 mEq/kg). Birds fed 200 mEq/kg and electrolyte had the best growth rate and feed efficiency, followed by those fed 300 mEq/kg and 100 mEq/kg electrolyte. It is proposed that high levels of dietary electrolyte may improve the growth of chicks fed diets containing excess lysine by increasing lysine catabolism. High or low levels of lysine and dietary electrolyte resulted in higher mortality than those of optimum level (1.2%) of lysine and 200 mEq/kg of electrolyte balance. When the electrolyte level was increased, the pH, $pCO_2$, base excess, $HCO_3{^-}$ and total $CO_2$ of blood plasma were increased. The utilization of nutrients was changed when the electrolyte and lysine were manipulated. Plasma chloride tended to be greater in chicks receiving high chloride diet and was the highest in chicks fed the high lysine diet. Plasma sodium and potassium were unaffected by dietary lysine. Diet containing high lysine decreased the level of arginine and excess dietary electrolyte increased arginine level in plasma. It may be concluded that cation supplementation tended to alleviate the lysine-arginine antagonism but chloride exacerbated. Tibia bone length and ash contents were significantly affected by electrolyte balance and lysine level.

  • Diversification strategy is important for the enterprise which intends to expand its competitive advantage. However, it is not always a success because of its different form and level which brings us totally different results also. This study analysis the effect from diversification strategy on firm performance and we divided the diversification strategy into two different level: products diversification level and international diversification level. We select financial data from 88 China listed enterprises during the year from 2008-2013 and use fixed effect model to do the analysis. According to the result, there is a positive effect between diversification strategy and firm value. A company which has the higher products diversification level and international diversification level will more possibly achieve success in diversification strategy. However, there is no significant effect on firm's profit. Considering the time effect of profit, we used after 1 year profit data and find that the enterprise which has a higher level of international diversification will have less profit, but there is also no significant effect between product diversification and firm's profit.

Diagnosis of Low-Level Aviation Turbulence Using the Korea Meteorological Administration Post Processing (KMAPP) (고해상도 규모상세화 수치자료 산출체계(KMAPP)를 이용한 저고도 항공난류 진단)

  • In order to diagnose low-level turbulence in Korea, diagnostic indices of low-level turbulence were calculated from Aug 2016 to Jul 2019 using a Korea Meteorological Administration Post Precessing (KMAPP) developed by the National Institute Meteorological Sciences (NIMS), and the indices were evaluated using Aircaft Meteorological Data Relay (AMDAR). In the mean horizontal distribution of diagnostic indices calculated, severe turbulence was simulated along major domestic mountains, including near the Taebaek Mountains, the Sobaek Mountains and Hallasan Mountain on Jeju Island due to geographical factors. Later, detection performance was evaluated by calculating the KMAPP Low-Level Turbulencd index (KLT) on combined index, using AUC value of Individual diagnostic indices as a weight. The result showed that the AUC value of KLT was 0.73, and the detection performance was improved (0.02-0.13) when the index was combined. Also, when looking for the AMDAR data is divided into years, seasons, and altitudes, up to 0.94 AUC values were found in winter (DJF) and the surface (surface-1,000ft). By using high-resolution numerical data reflecting detailed terrain data, local turbulence distribution was well demonstrated and high detection performance was shown at low-level.

Effect of Vitamin Levels and Different Stocking Densities on Performance, Nutrient Digestibility, and Blood Characteristics of Growing Pigs

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary vitamin levels and stocking densities on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and blood characteristics in growing pigs. A $2{\times}3$ factorial (two vitamin levels, three regimens of stocking densities) arrangement was utilized with 96 pigs ($23.10{\pm}0.95$ kg initial body weight and 63 d of age) for 36 d. The pigs were allocated to pens with different stocking density (0.64, 0.48, and 0.38 $m^2/pig$, respectively). The diets used in this study were a normal diet (based on NRC) and a high level of vitamin diet (2-fold higher than normal diet). The ADG and ADFI of pigs were decreased as the stocking density increased (p = 0.03 and p = 0.01, respectively). The G/F of pigs was 5% lower in the high vitamin treatment (p = 0.03) as compared with the control treatment. The apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD) of DM and N digestibility was negatively affected by the high level of vitamin in diets (p = 0.05 and p = 0.04, respectively). Moreover, a significant and negative effect on the ATTD of N was detected in the large groups (linear, p = 0.02). Blood cortisol concentration was increased with increasing stocking density (linear, p = 0.05), and was decreased by high level of vitamin (p = 0.04) at the end of this experiment. Stocking density also caused a linear reduction in WBC concentration (p = 0.05). Our data indicated that the principal effect of stocking density was not reliant on dietary vitamin levels. In conclusion, results indicated that doubling the vitamin supplementation did not improve the growth performance of pigs in high density. However, the blood cortisol concentration was decreased but the ATTD of N digestibility was impaired by high level of vitamin diet.
