This study aims to provide policy suggestions by examining the perception and attitude of Koreans toward the welfare rights. The study was done through a telephone survey conducted by an opinion research institute on 2,050 respondents in 16 cities and provinces. The results are as follows. First, a majority of Koreans responded that the primary responsibility for welfare rests with the government and perceived their welfare receipt rights in a positive way. Respondents also showed an assertive attitude toward exercising their rights by stating that they intend to file a demurrer or participate in civic activities. Second, in terms of duty performance, most respondents showed different positions concerning tax hike and insurance rate increase, although they showed a stronger opposition to an increase in insurance fee. In addition, 90% of the respondents were in favor of building welfare institutions in the residential area and an overwhelming proportion of the respondents indicated that they would take an active part in welfare development by regularly paying taxes and volunteering. Third, the respondents gave a very negative rating to Koreas welfare system and its overall level. That is, people thought that the level of Koreas welfare system is on a par with that in developing or underdeveloped countries, and that the welfare system benefits no one or only the rich. People generally felt that there was not one proper welfare institution. In conclusion, the study found that Koreans have keen awareness of their welfare rights and proactive attitude toward welfare development, whereas negative viewpoint toward tax and insurance fee increases. This may stem from peoples distrust of government welfare policies and the existing welfare system. This study suggests that welfare policy is an important factor in determining peoples political attitude. Therefore, government authorities must recognize people not as passive receivers of welfare benefit but as active policy partners, and establish policies that reflect peoples high welfare rights perception and willingness to take part in welfare development.

Background : Radiation pneumonitis(RP) is the major serious complication of thoracic irradiation treatment. In this study, we attempted to retrospectively evaluate the long-term prognosis of patients who experienced acute RP and to identify factor that might allow prediction of RP. Methods : Of the 114 lung cancer patients who underwent thoracic radiotherapy between December 2000 and December 2002, We performed analysis using a database of 90 patients who were capable of being evaluated. Results : Of the 44 patients(48.9%) who experienced clinical RP in this study, the RP was mild in 33(36.6%) and severe in 11(12.3%). All of severe RP were treated with corticosteroids. The median starting corticosteroids dose was 34 mg(30~40) and median treatment duration was 68 days(8~97). The median survival time of the 11 patients who experienced severe RP was significantly poorer than the mild RP group. (p=0.046) The higher total radiation dose(${\geq}60Gy$) was significantly associated with developing in RP.(p=0.001) The incidence of RP did not correlate with any of the ECOG performance, pulmonary function test, age, cell type, history of smoking, radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy, once-daily radiotherapy dose fraction. Also, serum albumin level, uric acid level at onset of RP did not influence the risk of severe RP in our study. Conclusion : Only the higher total radiation dose(${\geq}60Gy$) was a significant risk factor predictive of RP. Also severe RP was an adverse prognostic factor.
The objectives of this study was to evaluate the effect of thermocycling on the ${\mu}TBS$ (microtensile bond strength) to dentin with four different adhesive systems to examine the bonding durability. Freshly extracted $3^{rd}$ molar teeth were exposed occlusal dentin surfaces, and randomly distributed into 8 adhesive groups 3-steps total-etching (Scotchbond Multi-Purpose Plus; SM, All Bond-2; AB), 2-steps total-etching (Single Bond; SB, One Step plus; OS), 2-steps self-etching (Clearfil SE Bond; SE, AdheSE AD) and single-step self-etching systems (Promp L-Pop; PL, Xeno III; XE) Each adhesive system in 8 adhesives groups was applied on prepared dentin surface as an instruction and resin composite (Z250) was placed incrementally and light-cured. The bonded specimens were sectioned with low-speed diamond saw to obtain $1\times1mm$ sticks after 24 hours of storage at $37^{\circ}C$ distilled water and proceeded thermocycling at the pre-determined cycles of 0, 1,000 and 2,000. The ${\mu}TBS$ test was carried out with EZ-tester at 1mm/min. The results of bond strength test were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA/ Duncan's test at the a < 0.05 confidence level. Also, the fracture mode of debonded surface and the interface were examined under SEM. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. 3-step total etching adhesives showed stable, but bond strength of 2-step adhesives were decreased as thermocycling stress. 2. SE showed the highest bond strength, but single step adhesives (PL, XE) had the lowest value both before and after thermocycling. 3 Most of adhesives showed adhesive failure. The total-etching systems were prone to adhesive failure and the single-step systems were mixed failure after thermocycling. Within limited results of this study, the bond strength of adhesive system was material specific and the bonding durability was affected by the bonding step/ procedure of adhesive Simplified bonding procedures do not necessarily imply improved bonding performance.
its digests on the performance of broiler chicks and taurine content in broiler meat. A total of 100 broiler chickens were assigned to five dietary treatments; Control, PM diet(FM), NaOH treated FM diet(NaOH-FM), HN03 treated FM diet(HN03 - FM) and 0.5% synthetic taurine supplemented diet(Taurine). Treated diets were supplemented with FM or FM digests at the level of 5% to the control diet Treated diets were fed during the last 3wks of 6wks feeding. During the finisher period, weight gain of chicks fed FM treatments tended to decrease in general. Feed intakes of FM and Taurine were significantly lower than the control but were not significantly different from NaOH - FM or HN03- PM. Feed conversion rate(feed intake/gain) of NaOH-FM was significantly higher than those of FM and HNOJ - FM but not different from those of the control and Taurine. Taurine content of the control was highest in heart muscle(1482 J1.g/g) followed by leg muscle(778f.lg/g) and breast muscle(79 J1.g/g). Taurine contents of leg and breast muscle were significantly(P< 0.01) affected by treatments but that of heart muscle was not. Taurine content of Taurine treatments was highest in both leg and breast muscle. Taurine content of leg muscle was increased 170"10 by Taurine supplementation, 123% by FM supplementation, 122% by NaOH - FM supplementation and 63% by HNOJ- FM supplementation compared with control. Taurine content of breast muscle of Taurine treatment was 246% higher than the control, but other treatments were not different from the control. In conclusion, supplementation of feather meal at 5% level of broiler diet can enrich taurine content of leg muscle. Chemical treatments of FM were not effective in improving taurine enrichment of broiler meat.

The government has run and managed various forms of direct payment systems, such as the paddy and field direct payment, to ease the instability of farm incomes with respect to market opening, and preserve farm income. Direct payments to the agricultural sector is a center in the key policy instrument that plays an important role in income stabilization. Despite the large amount of spending in the farm unit, the status of direct payment, and policy effects the analysis of direct payments, such as stability of income contribution, are insufficient. This paper, using the farm unit DB in 2014 and 2015, performed farm level analysis of direct payment, and derived the implications of the performance evaluation system. As a result, the distribution of direct payment showed considerable bias to the left side compared to the normal distribution curve. Approximately half of the farms (49.3%) in 2014 DB should receive below 100,000 won per year by a direct payment. A larger-scale farm showed a significantly increased income effect and income stabilizing effect because direct payments make higher contributions to farm income in proportional to the area. In the more elderly farmers, a high contribution by direct payment to farm income was found to be an advantage; however, in small-scale farms of less than 0.5ha, direct payment contribution on farm household income was only 3%. In large-scale farms, 10ha or more, the contribution to farm income were found to be 29.4%. The income of large farms was 10 times larger than small farmers, and the direct payment entitlements that were received were 110 times larger. Through this policy, direct payments are required for future improvements and modifications.
In the division of labor (or teamwork) in medicine, the responsibility of medical and nursing staff should be separated or distributed to justify negligent criminal offenses. The present work refers to the standards by which the due diligence and responsibility of the individual persons are to be determined and delimited. In this context, it has been proven that objective theory as a measure of due diligence is appropriate. From a moral point of view, when assessing due diligence, it makes sense to impose greater individual or higher performance demands on the perpetrator, but law and order require that due diligence should result from socially relevant human behavior. To give objective measure of negligence and to provide the highest level of personal responsibility, so that man can not be burdened too much responsibility and it is accordingly with an equality theorem. Afterwards some points are presented, which should be considered in a concrete fact in the determination of the medical negligence. Medical action has specific characteristics such as professionalism, discretionary and exclusive, unbalance of information. These characteristics distinguish medical actions from general negligence. The general level of knowledge, the urgency, working condition and working environment of the medical facility, duration of the professional practice, assessment of the medical activity are crucial in this context. As a standard of delineation of due diligence, I have used the permitted risk and the principle of trust. In the horizontal division of labor, the principle of trust applies. The principle of trust applies in principle in cases of division of labor interaction, when doctors in the same hospital exercise their own specific occupational field or everyone works in another hospital. However, this is not true for every case. In the vertical division of labor, the principle of trust does not apply and the senior physician can not trust the assistant doctors. In this case, the principle of trust is converted into a duty of supervision for assistant doctors by the senior physician. This supervision requirement could be used as a random check.
A thermally cross-linkable polymer, poly[(2,5-dimethoxy-1,4-phenylenevinylene)-alt-(1,4-phenylenevinylene)] (Cross-PPV), was synthesized by the Heck coupling reaction. In order for the polymer to be cross-linkable, 20 mol% excess divinylbenzene was added. The chemical structure of Cross-PPV and thermally crosslinked Cross-PPV were confirmed by FT-IR spectroscopy. From the FT-IR, UV-Vis, and PL spectral data, thermally crosslinked Cross-PPV was insoluble in common organic solvents. The HOMO and LUMO energy level of thermally cross-linked Cross-PPV were estimated -5.11 and -2.56 eV, respectively, which were determined by the cyclic voltammetry and UV-Vis spectroscopy. From the energy level data, one can easily notice that thermally crosslinked Cross-PPV can be used for hole injection layer effectively. Bilayer structured device (ITO/crosslinked Cross-PPV/PM-PPV/Al) was fabricated using poly(1,4-phenylenevinylene-(4-dicyanomethylene-4H-pyran)-2,6-vinylene-1,4-phenylenevinylene-2,5-bis(dodecyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene (PM-PPV) as the emitting layer, which have HOMO and LUMO energy levels of -5.44 eV and -3.48 eV, respectively. The bilayered device had much enhanced the maximum efficiency (0.024 cd/A) and luminescence ($45cd/m^2$) than those of a single layer device (ITO/PM-PPV/Al, 0.003 cd/A, $3cd/m^2$). The enhanced performance originated from that fact that cross-linked Cross-PPV facilitatse the hole injection to the emissive layer and the injected hole and electron from ITO and Al are recombined in emitting layer (PM-PPV) effectively.

This study investigates the effect of a feed concentrate on the growth performance, feed requirement, and rearing expenses of growing black goats. Forty female growing black goats were divided into four groups and fed rice straw (ad libitum) mixed with different levels of the feed concentrate: T1 (1.5%), T2 (1.8%), T3 (2.1%), and T4 (0%, control). The average daily weight gain (body weight per day) was as follows: T1 < T2 < T3 < T4 (50.23, 60.37, 71.46 and 98.90 g/day, respectively) (p<0.05). The intake of rice straw decreased significantly with increase in the concentrate level (p<0.05). Rearing expenses amounted to 46,704, 49,998, 54,701, and 74,613 won for feed concentrate levels of 1.5%, 1.8%, 2.1%, and ad libitum, respectively. Increase in feed concentrate levels led to an increase in rearing expenses. In conclusion, a concentrate level of 2.1% was determined to be idea for a rice-straw-based feed for growing black goats.
In order to evaluate soil factors affecting the growth of Italian poplar, 23 areas planted with Italian poplar were surveyed. These 23 areas were classified into 3 categories, river-side, fallow-land and hill-side. The growth performance and soil factors for each area were investigated. The growth of Italian poplar at river-side was shown to be superior to that of fallow-land and fill-side. The rates of growth for fallow-land and hill-side are decreased by 8% and 21% compared to those of river-side, respectively. This suggests that plantation of Italian poplar at hill-side would not be profitable. Soil conditions of high productive area appeared liquid phase 20%, porosity 45%, water holding capacity 35 - 40%, soil hardness $1kg/cm^3$. pH 6 and rich in organic matter and total nitrogen. The results of factor analysis for soil factors affecting to Italian poplar growth that showed eigenvalue over 1 and communality value over 70% explained factor 1 : liquid phase, porosity and water holding capacity, factor 2 : pH and calcium, and factor 3 : soil hardness. This suggests that physical characteristics of soil is more important than chemical characteristics for Italian poplar growth. Multiregerssion analysis was conducted between diameter growth and soil hardness, liquid phase and calcium. The t-values for each independent variables showed significance at 1 - 10% level, but water holding capacity and pH are not significant. It is supposed that sites suitable to Italian poplar were alluvial plain of sandy loam or part of banking soil, well-ventilating soil, lower soil hardness, apposite soil moisture absorbing with about 100cm of ground water level, plentiful organic matters and total nitrogen and little acidity soil.
The quality control is needed to ensure the accuracy of medical information and achieved by evaluating the performance of and maintaining the system and practicing various measurements and evaluations. The Korean Institute for Accreditation of Medical Image, therefore, have held educational program for quality control of special medical equipments. The major of programs participants, however, are radiology specialists with only small number of radiological technologists from some hospitals, furthermore, the follow-up education and the share of information between participants and non-participants are insufficient in general, thus, the knowledge level of radiological technologists, regardless of their participation, is relatively low. This study carried out the questionnaire research for the 500 radiological technologists registered in Korean Society of MRI Technology, on the basis of 2008, and performed analysis for five months from May to Oct., 2008. The questionnaires were delivered by post to each radiological technologists and the response rate was 36%(n=180). The results of this revealed that the 86.7% of respondents felt the necessity of inspection on quality management, while only the 27.8% completed the educational program for manager of special medical equipment. and only the half(53.9%) had the knowledge about inspection on quality management. The completion of educational program had no correlations with sex, age, size of occupying hospital, the number of radiological technologists in occupying site and MRI laboratory, career year of general radiologist and in MRI laboratory, and the presence of biomedical engineering department in occupying hospital. The 78.0% of participants at the educational program for quality management held by the Korean Institute for Accreditation of Medical Image had the knowledge about inspection on quality management(p<.05) whereas the 43.9% of the hospitals held such program and the 54.4% of radiological technologists from those hospitals had related knowledge, which indicated that such programs held by hospitals had not effects on the knowledge level of radiological technologists. This indicates also that the contents, methods, and other conditional factors of educational programs are important for the outcome of them.
