Korean firms have been vigorously searching and exploring overseas market opportunities through export and overseas investment. As of end of 2019, there were more than 80,000 Korean overseas subsidiaries all over the world. With Korean overseas direct investment increasing recently, it became one of the important issues for overseas investors to be successful in the global market. There are a lot of studies on factors influencing the performance of overseas subsidiaries such as 'firm' and 'country' factors. This study empirically examines subsidiary performance determinants with 'industry architectures' by using a sample of 292 overseas Korean firm subsidiaries. Industry architectures are the stable but evolving sets of rules and roles through which labor is divided within a sector. This article considers how industry architectures shape success in international expansion. Industry architectures differ between countries, are not necessarily technologically determined, shape firms' capabilities and their competitive environment, and constitute a distinct level of analysis. We extract antecedents of related theory and empirically test its impact with a survey of Korean firms expanding in emerging economies. We would say this is the first study which tries to focus on industry architectures with the performance of Korean overseas subsidiaries. We find that separability and similarity of industry architectures across countries and localization of subsidiaries are robust and important predictors of success in international expansion. Our results suggest that industry architectures should be added to firm and country as an intermediate level of analysis that helps explain success in international expansion. While we established a pattern, much more remains to be done. We focus on the success of foreign operations, but we do not consider the broader benefits of going abroad, such as the learning or network effects that accrue at the level of the entire firm. The next obvious question is whether the results would differ in the developed market context. These we leave for future research to consider.
The study empirically analyzed the differences in industry distribution and innovation activity performance in the metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas of Korea's bio companies, which are highlighted as future growth engines. The main innovation activities of the bio industry, which are focused on science and technology and expressed with high uncertainty, were analyzed, centering on human resources, technology cooperation, and investment promotion. As a result of the analysis, the biomedical industry in the metropolitan area was found to have a high proportion, and bio foods, bio-based chemicals, and energy industries in the non-metropolitan area, respectively. Moreover, the innovation activity performances differed between the two regions. In particular, the notable characteristics included human resources, investment promotion, and technical cooperation with medical institutions in the metropolitan area with a high proportion of biomedical industries, and technology personnel exchange and cooperation with private research institutions in the non-metropolitan area, which has a high proportion of bio foods, bio-based chemicals, and energy industries. This study is significant in that it is the first study to compare and analyze the performance of innovative activities based on the distribution of industries in the bio-industry, focusing on human resources, technology cooperation, and investment promotion. In addition, after investigating the distribution status and competitiveness of the domestic bio-industry by region, it will analyze the status and characteristics of the domestic bio-industry and present policy implications to implement relevant promotion policy more efficiently.
The high-tech industry is the economic lifeline for Taiwan. Its characteristics are short product life cycle, rapid changes in the market, and a high obsolescence rate for new products. Under globalization, the high-tech industry has adopted Information Technology (IT) to shorten the manufacturing process, reduce costs and conduct product research and development (R&D) to increase the core competence of enterprises and achieve the goal of sustainable operations. Enterprises should actively strengthen their integration with internal and external resources and lead in R&D management to increase industrial operating performance. Effectively managing operations and R&D management evaluation in Taiwan's High-tech Industry has become a critical subject. This study adopted 4 major Balanced Scorecard (BSC) perspectives to establish the Total Performance Evaluation Indicators for the R&D management department in Taiwan's High-tech Industry. The Analytic Network Process (ANP) was applied to evaluate the overall performance of the R&D management department. The research framework is divided into 2 phases. The first phase is combined with the 4 major perspectives, Financial, Customer, Internal Business Process and Learning and Growth, as the related indicators for each measurement perspective. The Key Performance Indicators (KPI) were selected using Factor Analysis to identify the key factor from the complicated indicators. The relationship between the characteristics of each BSC's evaluation perspective is dependence and feedback. This study applied ANP to conduct the calculation and adjustment of correlation between each KPI, and determine on their relative weights for the objective KPI. The "Financial Perspective" for R&D management department in Taiwan's High-tech Industry focused on the budget achievement rate of R&D management. The weight indicator value is (0.05863). The "Customer Perspective" focused on problem-solving satisfaction. The weight value of this indicator is (0.17549). The "Internal Business Process Perspective" focused on the quantity and quality of R&D. The weight value of this indicator is (0.13506). The "Learning and Growth Perspective" focused on improving competence in the research personnel's professional techniques. The weight value of this indicator is (0.02789). From the total weighting indicators, the order of the Performance Indicators for the R&D management department in Taiwan's High-tech Industry is: (1) Customer Perspective; (2) Internal Business Process Perspective; (3) Financial Perspective; and (4) Learning and Growth Perspective.

This study researched the relationship of effect of management awareness of corporate members, system buildup and strategic operation on corporate performance through industry-university collaboration networking. The result of the study are as follows. First, as the importance of industry-university collaboration, system buildup networking was proved to provide the greatest influence on the corporate performance. Second, it presents to form the bond of sympathy with members on corporate management which is built through industry-university collabora-tion. Third is the importance of strategic operation. Strategic operation was prove to have high influence on corporate performance. Fourth is to prove the relationship between system buildup and strategic operation of industry-university collaboration networ- king. The system buildup provides an important impact on corporate strategic operation. Fifth is the system buildup through management awareness by through industry-university collaboration. Lastly, the relationship between management awareness and corporate performance was found to be significant. Management awareness of members can be presented as an important variable on corporate performance. This study is to present the fact that it is important to secure competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses, to develop a way for creative improvement and to secure a way for strengthening the competitiveness, and to strengthen the corporate competitiveness through reinforcement of industry- university collaboration networking.

Computer system performance has always had the possibility of affecting business profitability, but with the advent of the World Wide Web where customers interact directly with Web servers, response time can have a direct and dramatic impact on business revenue. This paper is written in the operation environment and system analysis of HTS(Home Trading System) running K Securities. This paper also shows the method for performance improvement through investigation and analysis for the overall systems resources whether HTS has an appropriate performance or not. Performance analysis includes specially CPU analysis, Memory analysis, Disk Input/Output analysis and application analysis. Besides providing more detailed server specification for expansion from now on, system performance can be maintained with effect in the future. Through this study it is possible to manage the performance of HTS more easily and to solve problems such as a bottleneck more quickly.

This study intends to find the empirical relationship between influential factors of CRM realization and performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze effect of managerial support factors on customer orientation, work performance, and customer performance in the banking institutions. First, it is analyzed to find what kind of effects the major factor of CRM system may have on customer orientation. Then, the impacts of the customer orientation on the performance are to be analyzed. Lastly, it is analyzed that the work performance affects the customer performance.

The importance of project performance management as an alternative for solving problems is rising, which are followed by the difficulties of managing construction project in the construction industry. This research classifies and applies the potential improvement made by the construction practitioners. In order to apply influential factors for success on the construction project, the research identifies the relationship between the factors and performance management practices. In addition, in order to predict the results reflecting the project characteristics which are un-improvable by the construction managers in the initial stage of construction, the effect of project characteristics to the identified management practices have been drawn by performance area. Finally, in order to improve the predicted performance, this research provides a framework in setting valid best practices according to the performance areas through a statistical analysis between the best practices and project characteristics through the industry survey.
Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the 6th industrial entrepreneurship and business performances on social capital. The 6th industry based on its social capital can have a significant impact on business performances. Design/Methodology/Approach For this reason, we examined the relationship between entrepreneurship and business performance using the moderator variables of social capital and the Sixth industry certification. As a result, the 6th industrial entrepreneurship affects significant positive business performance. In particular, the authenticity, communication skills, social responsibility, collaborative, risk susceptibility, and challenging mind have a positive effect on business performances. As a result of moderation effect analysis, the 6th industry certification has no interaction effect of entrepreneurship, and only challenging mind and communication skills, the authenticity showed that the positive effect on business performances. Findings Social capital has interaction effects on the 6th industry entrepreneurship. Low level of social capital improves business performance through a strong challenging mind and social responsibility. High level of social capital are more demanding authenticity, collaboration, and risk sensitivity. And the higher level of social capital, the lower the communication ability, electrical conductivity, and social responsibility.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the present status of the work performance of the construction industry health managers and the developmental direction for the construction industry health management. Methods: The subjects of this study were 149 health managers working in the construction industry. Data of a total of 130 participants were analyzed by excluding the missing data among field workers. The contents of the survey were the characteristics of the workplace, the difficulties and requirements of health management, and the level of job performance. Results: The factors affecting measuring work environment task were age, number of workers, number of safety managers, and lack of support from the headquarters. The factors affecting managing work environment and physicochemical harmful factors were age, type of contract and conflicting business opinions. The factors affecting implementing health examination were age, type of contract, and number of safety managers. The factors affecting healthcare were age, type of contract, number of safety manager, presence of healthcare room, and conflicting business opinions. Conclusion: It is necessary to provide practical guidance and practical resources, and education for strengthening capacity. The support for business owners and managers support is needed.
Purpose: This paper addresses issues that concern business-to-business marketing, namely informational justice in the supply chain or organizations. As previously reported by other studies, there is information asymmetry in organizations. The present study explores and addresses this in the medical industry, aiming to investigate how informational justice relates to information quality or logistics performance in the medical industry. This study also suggests a method for development of informational justice in medicine-related fields. Design, methodology, approach: The hypothesis and model were developed through a review of the literature. To this end, we surveyed 293 valid survey samples collected from occupational pharmacists and used structural equation modelling for analysis. Findings: The results of the empirical analysis of the hypotheses showed that symmetric sharing of information between pharmacists and employees of pharmaceutical companies has a positive effect on the perceived quality. Moreover, the results showed that quality information has a positive impact on logistics performance, whereas informational justice does not. Conclusions, implications: If information and explanations are exchanged fairly, information and logistics performance-as well as operational expenses-will be enhanced. Furthermore, our study has immense implications outside of academic applications since it suggests practical solutions to government and medical industry employees.
