For the sustainable development, companies are making a lot of efforts such as activities of sales increase and cost reduction. Among these, efforts to use limited resources efficiently and effectively is still being made steadily. And many methods for management innovation are being introduced and used. However there were partial or temporary effects only. So there are not enough to achieve operations performance to cover the entire system. Therefore, in order to maximize performance or to improve sustainability across the companies, it is necessary to rebuild the existing system with process perspective not with existing functional perspective. This study was performed to achieve the objective that is operation performance improvement of certification body. So literature review was researched and analyed about the process innovation and the process approach. And basic model which is compatible with ISO/IEC 17021 requirement for the certification body was established in this study. Based on this model, one of the certification body was selected and operation system for this organization was established, documented and implemented through the process approach method. In the result, operations performance of certification body on the side of efficiency and effectiveness is analyzed and the effect of reconstruction of system on operations performance was figured out

Small- and medium-sized companies obtain ISO 9000 quality management systems as a way of adapting to the changes of business environment and improving their business performance. Certificates of ISO 9000 quality management systems have been granted to companies by either domestic or foreign certification agencies with different requirements and standards. This study empirically examined whether there are differences in business performance among small- and medium-sized companies that have obtained ISO 9000 quality management system from different types (domestic or foreign) of certification agencies. This study found that there are statistically significant differences in both qualitative and quantitative business performance among them. The findings of this study imply that companies considering ISO 9000 quality management systems be prudent in choosing the type of certification agency to maximize the expected benefits of ISO 9000 quality management systems. This study also provides the government agency regulating ISO 9000 quality management certification system with some valuable information that brings up the need for establishing and managing a more effective quality management certification system.

Certification of product means that the process and result in which the verification of required performance of each product was done. For this, advanced countries have established their product certification system. This paper summarize the status of foreign railway product certification system and give out meaningful considerations. Moreover, problems of domestic railway product certification system will be discussed and requirements for the improvement of the system will be proposed.

The National Program for Excellence in SW is underway to innovate the software education system and cultivate software professionals with creative convergence thinking in response to the demand for software manpower. This program was started by selecting 8 universities in 2015, and in September 2022, 44 universities are participating. The Wonkwang University's National Program for Excellence in SW, which was selected for this project in 2018, adopted the SW competency certification system to strengthen SW competency and many students actively participated. In this paper, the SW competency certification system program was examined, and lecture evaluation in related subjects and the performance of the certification system were analyzed in detail. Through the analysis results, the performance of the SW competency certification system was identified.

Purpose:The purpose of the paper is to review the problems of performance enhancement of safety certification standards and to suggest directions for improvement in order to rationalize safety certification standards for future industrial development and environmental changes. Method: The problems and limitations of the safety certification system are summarized through literature review and interview with manager, and the status of safety certification standards is classified into design standards, performance standards, and detailed standards, and the status analysis is performed. In addition, by synthesizing the results of the investigation and analysis, improvements are suggested to improve the performance of the safety certification standards. Result: Through the survey, the problems and limitations of safety certification could be grouped into six categories: government-led certification system operation, standardized certification standards, long time required to improve certification, poor certification standards preparation system, and lack of reflection of industry opinions. And, as a result of analyzing the certification standards by dividing them into performance and design standards, in the case of machinery, equipment, and protection devices, the design standards were high at 69.7% and 64.9%, whereas in the case of protective equipment, the performance standards were high at 61.1%. In order to improve the performance of safety certification standards centered on design standards, it is necessary to determine the possibility of performance enhancement of the certification standards and determine the feasibility of the inspection test method. In order to improve performance, it was reviewed that it was necessary to establish a systemic foundation and infrastructure, such as strengthening the Product Liability Act, systematizing market monitoring, etc., distributing certification test tasks, and participating in the preparation of certification standards by the private sector. Conclusion: Through this study, the problems and limitations of Korea's safety certification system were summarized and the necessity for performance improvement was reviewed. Performance improvement of safety certification standards is a matter that requires preparatory work, such as legislative revision and infrastructure construction, and requires mid-to-long-term promotion. In addition, rather than improving the overall safety certification standards, the performance requirements for each item subject to certification should be reviewed and promoted, and details should be specified through additional research.

ISO 9000 is an efficient quality system for the customer's confidence and satisfaction. Of late years, the revised edition of ISO 9000 quality management system may give lots of positive business values to companies running ISO 9000 system. Despite its tremendous popularity, there is some criticism against the effect and performance of ISO 9000 certification. This research explores the performances and effects of ISO 9000 quality system in small & medium size industrial companies. For this research, 202 companies certified by ISO 9000 standard and 67 companies not certified as contrast group were selected. The related data were collected by web-poll survey. The major analyses are focused on the effect and performance of the ISO 9000 certification, and we established various hypotheses to verify the effect and performance of quality system. Results of statistical analyses show that total performance of quality system is significantly different between certified companies and not certified.

As Internet usage is rapidly spreading, tasks that were only possible offline are now available in cyber space but at the same time, new security threats such as hacking and viruses have also increased. For that reason, Comprehensive and methodical information security systems are therefore required in enterprises and organizations. Consequently, the Information Security Management System certification system has been in effect in Korea since July 2001. As of December 2012, 130 enterprises have been certified, and more than 120 ISO27001 certifications have been issued. As such, since the introduction of the ISMS certification system in Korea, the demand for the certification has been steadily increasing, and it is now recognized as an integral part of maintaining the competitiveness in an enterprise. However, the qualitative aspects of certification regarding the effectiveness of ISMS have been continuously questioned by actual customers. In order to clarify the situation and remove such doubts, this study will substantiate the fact that development and certification of ISMS positively affect the business performance of enterprises so that they will recognize the effect of obtaining ISMS certification and eventually prevent security accidents and improve their business performance by developing ISMS.

Many countries have run their own certification systems in order to reduce the environmental loads from buildings. Domestically, various systems are applied according to building types from Building Energy Efficiency Rating System since 2001 to Green Home Construction Standard and Performance since 2009. However, these systems provide the applicants with confusion and waste by exposing them to several systems simultaneously, some of which are mandatory. Therefore, this study aims to ensure the flexibility among those systems and eliminate the possible waste by suggesting mutual accreditation method of evaluation results. To achieve this purpose, firstly, the thirteen similar evaluation items are identified between Housing Performance Grading Indication System and Green Building Rating System. Then, the mutual accreditation method is developed by comparing detailed evaluation criteria and credits for those thirteen items.

The materials applied to the aircraft fuselage, parts, and components must be verified by relative authorities in accordance with the procedures set by the airworthiness authority to achieve the aircraft type certification. There are no examples of domestic composite materials which were verified in order to be applied to aircraft structure. In this study, the composite material certification system of NCAMP, an American composite material standard certification organization, was reviewed and used as the fundamentals of the first aerospace composite material certification system in ROK(Fig 2,8). Also updated material certification documents were developed and confirmed by material certification engineers and inspectors. This aerospace composite material qualification system is intended to modernize the material certification system for AAM(Advanced Air Mobility) as well as aircraft and to enhance the understanding of related technicians and inspectors.

From the viewpoint of fire-fighting activities, public building have structural and management problems in fire, so evacuation disturbance and risk of expanding combustion are high. As a result of analyzing various fire fragile factors of public building, The evaluation areas were derived from safety systems, fire-fighting facility, structure safety, general safety and the evaluation factors were presented. Also, the characteristics of domestic and foreign certification systems were analyzed by comparing and analyzing the status of fire safety performance certification system for 6 domestic and overseas apartment houses. In conclusion, the 5 convergence directions of certification system and 22 evaluation items by 4 evaluation fields were derived, and based on this, we have established 3 convergence introduction plans of fire safety performance certification system of public building.
