다공튜브 형상변화에 따른 촉매 삽입형 Urea-SCR 머플러 내부유동 해석 (Analysis of an internal flow with multi-perforated tube geometry in an integrated Urea-SCR muffler)

  • SCR 머플러 입구와 촉매사이에 설치되는 다공튜브 형상변화에 따른 촉매 삽입형 urea-SCR 머플러 내부유동특성이 해석적으로 조사되었다. 다공튜브는 요소수 분무와 배기가스 혼합물의 공간분포 향상을 통한 $NO_x$ 저감율 증대 및 암모니아 슬립을 방지하기 위해 사용되는 장치이다. 다공튜브 오리피스 면적비 변화가 챔버 내부 유동 및 촉매 전후단의 속도분포에 끼치는 영향이 조사되었으며, 속도분포에 대한 균일도 지수가 최적설계 관점에서 평가되었다. 해석은 상용 유동해석 프로그램을 이용하여 정상상태에서 수행되었으며 요소수 분무와 배기가스 혼합물 대신 상온의 공기가 작동유체로 사용되었다. 해석결과로부터 다공튜브 형상은 머플러 입구와 촉매 전단 사이에 형성된 챔버 내 벌크 선회유동과 촉매 전후단 속도분포의 균일도지수에 큰 영향을 끼침을 알 수 있었다.

  • An equivalent electroacoustic circuit approach of estimating the sound absorption coefficient for parallel perforated plate system is proposed. The proposed approach is validated by comparing the calculated absorption coefficients of a parallel single layer perforated plate system with the values measured by the two-microphone impedance tube method for various porosity and the number of perforated plate. The sound absorbing performances of parallel and series perforated plate systems are compared and discussed from a standpoint of frequency bandwidth with sound absorption. The proposed approach is further extended to the parallel double layer perforated plate system.

Assessment of Equivalent Elastic Modulus of Perforated Spherical Plates

  • Perforated plates are used for the steam generator tube-sheet and the Reactor Vessel Closure Head in the Nuclear Power Plant. The ASME code, Section III Appendix A-8000, addresses the analysis of perforated plates, however, this analysis is only limited to the flat plate with a triangular perforation pattern. Based on the concept of the effective elastic constants, simulation of flat and spherical perforated plates and their equivalent solid plates were carried out using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The isotropic material properties of the perforated plate were replaced with anisotropic material properties of the equivalent solid plate and subjected to the same loading conditions. The generated curves of effective elastic constants vs ligament efficiency for the flat perforated plate were in agreement with the design curve provided by ASME code. With this result, a plate with spherical curvature having perforations can be conveniently analyzed with equivalent elastic modulus and equivalent Poisson's ratio.

  • 본 논문은 원형 단면 임피던스 튜브내에 고정된 미세천공 탄성판의 흡음을 해석적으로 구하는 방법을 다루었다. 판의 진동과 덕트 내부 음장을 모드 함수의 무한 급수의 합으로 전개하였는데 반경방향으로는 Bessel 함수를 포함한다. 평면파 가정하에서 저주파수 대역의 근사식을 판의 처음 몇 개의 모드만 고려하여 흡음율을 유도하였으며 등가 임피던스를 갖는 단일 표면의 형태로 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 공식과 FEM(Finite Element Method)을 이용한 결과는 잘 일치 하였는데 탄성의 효과는 판의 고유진동수에 해당하는 골 또는 피크의 형태로 나타난다. 천공율이 매우 작으면 진동의 영향이 지배적이나 천공율이 어느 한계이상 되면 박판의 탄성거동은 매우 작게 나타나고 강체 MPP(Micro-Perforated Plate)의 흡음 특성이 지배적이 된다.

CONCEPTUAL FUEL CHANNEL DESIGNS FOR CANDU-SCWR

  • This paper presents two of the fuel channel designs being considered for the CANDU-SCWR, a pressure-tube type supercritical water cooled reactor. The first is an insulated pressure tube design. The pressure tube is thermally insulated from the hot coolant by a porous ceramic insulator. Each pressure tube is in direct contact with the moderator, which operates at an average temperature of about $80^{\circ}C$. The low temperature allows zirconium alloys to be used. A perforated metal liner protects the insulator from being damaged by the fuel bundles and erosion by the coolant. The coolant pressure is transmitted through the perforated metal liner and insulator and applied directly to the pressure tube. The second is a re-entrant design. The fuel channel consists of two concentric tubes, and a calandria tube that separates them from the moderator. The coolant enters between the annulus of the two concentric fuel channel tubes, then exits the fuel channel through the inner tube, where the fuel bundles reside. The outer tube bears the coolant pressure and its temperature will be the same as the coolant inlet temperature, ${\sim}350^{\circ}C$. Advantages and disadvantages of these designs and the material requirements are discussed.

병렬 다공판 시스템의 흡음특성과 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sound Absorptive Characteristics and Performance of Parallel Perforated Plate Systems)

  • The acoustic absorption of a multiple layer perforated plate system is very good near the resonance frequency region, while it has been regarded as a demerit that its frequency bandwidth is considerably narrow. In order to overcome such a demerit, the parallel perforated plates with different porosities are proposed. The sound absorption of such system composed of a parallel perforated plate is calculated by an equivalent electroatoustic circuit approach and validated by comparing the calculated absorption coefficients with those measured by the two-microphone impedance tube method. The sound absorptive characteristics and performance of parallel perforated plate systems are discussed from a standpoint of frequency bandwidth related with sound absorption.

  • A practical method of predicting the sound absorption coefficient for multiple perforated-plate sound absorbing system was developed using transfer matrix method. The proposed method was validated by comparing the calculated absorption coefficients of a single layer perforated plate with the values measured by the two-microphone impedance tube method for various porosity and spacing of the perforated plate. The developed transfer matrix method was further applied to estimate the multiple layer perforated plates and it is shown that the estimated absorption coefficients agree well with the measured values.

  • The acoustic absorption of multiple layer perforated panel systems is largely reduced at the anti-resonance frequency. In order to improve the acoustic absorption at the anti-resonance frequency, the sound absorbing materials are inserted between perforated panels. By the insertion of absorbing materials, it is found that the multiple layer perforated panel system has better acoustic absorption at the anti-resonance frequency and more broadband frequency. Besides, it is shown that the absorption coefficients from the transfer matrix method agree well with the values measured by the two-microphone impedance tube method for various combinations of perforated panels, airspaces or sound absorbing materials.

다공형 소음기의 성능에 관한 연구 (A study on the performance of the perforated-tube muffler)

  • The object of this study is to develop the computer program to predict the transmission loss of a perforated tube muffler with mean flow, and to investigate the influence of porosity and mean flow on the performance of the muffler. The numerical model is made by dividing the muffler into small segments and estimating the transfer matrices for each segment. The computer program is developed for the calculation of the transmission loss of a through-or cross-flow perforated muffler. The experiment is performed for the measurement of the transmission loss and/or the pressure drop for various porosity and flow velocity. From the comparison between computation and experiment, is known that the numerical model agrees well with the experimental result. The effect of porosity and flow velocity on the acoustic performance and the flow resistance of a muffler is presented.

  • The propagation characteristics of the impulse wave discharged from the exit of a perforated pipe is investigated through a simple shock tube facility. The pressure histories and directivities of the impulse wave propagating outside from the exit of pipe with several different configurations are analyzed for the range of the incident weak shock wave Mach number between 1.02 and 1.2. In the shock tube experiments, the impulse wave are visualized by a Schlieren optical system for the purpose of understanding its propagation characteristics. The experimental results show that for the near sound field the impulse noise strongly propagates toward to the pipe axis, but for the far sound field the impulse noise uniformly propagates toward to the omnidirections, indicating that the directivity pattern is almost same regardless of the pipe type. Especially, it is shown that the perforated pipe has a little performance to reduce the impulse noise only for the near sound field
