  • 'Headline Database of Newspaper Articles' is a database which contains about 141,500 newspaper articles from 1949 to March, 2009. They are collected from two perspectives; 'language' and 'language life' by KOKKEN. There were 3312 newspaper articles (about 2.34%) which included the word ONNA at 'Headline Database of Newspaper Articles'. The number of newspaper articles related to ONNA started to increase in 1975 but they decreased afterwards. They increased rapidly in 1980 and maintained the condition. However, they started to decrease rapidly in 1990 and maintained the decreased condition. They increased rapidly again in 2004 and 2007. Those six causes of rapid increase suggested that the perception of gender such as 'Men need to work outside and Women need to do housework and take care of child' which was fixed until then was changing and becoming a stereotype of virtual reality rather than reality. • In Korea, most of the locations of the cemeteries and burial vault are in forest lands. The utilization of forest land for this particular purpose is very inefficent and considered to be a serious problem. National government (Forest Service), local governments (Incheon city), and religious corporation (eunhoe Temple) are creating new burial methods to solve the inefficiency in forest utilization. In this study, awareness of Koreans and Japaneses on tree burial problems were compared. Based from the results of the survey, more than 80% of the respondents are aware of the problems. However, the burial culture in Korea still has many problems. Operation and management of tree burial is not being done by experts and sufficient information regarding to this type of burial still needs to developed. To solve these problems, eco-friendly burial, which is considered as new funeral culture, is now being created. • This study attempts to examine the problem of properties mentioned in Shin Jae hyo's adapted version of Baktaryeong through the property related behavior of the characters, and discuss Shin Jae hyo's view of properties and his contemporary perception problems. As a result, in Baktaryeong, Nolbu takes the shape of a rich farmer in the existing text with grain centered accumulated properties, and of a wealthy man who is skilled in money management and growth as an economically well-informed person. In contrast, Heungbu is a poor peasant isolated from his own farm without enough property to minimally survive, representing the alienated poor who can not adapt to the currency economy led by the Nolbu people. This adaptation could have been a product of Shin Jae hyo's own view of property. Through the detailed description of Baktaryeong, it can be seen that he found it difficult to observe too much, but he thought that interest in property and money seemed basically to be affirmed in human life. In addition, in terms of issues of the poor, he found that the economic efforts of the lower classes and the care of the rich should be needed for the poor. However, he was forced to put the sense of crisis and the self defense consciousness as a wealthy family of middle class in the local society under the rapidly changing circumstances of the time into the text. That is, Baktaryeong included his own diagnosis of the present reality by drawing the issue of wealth and poverty in existing Heungboga(jeon), which is perhaps more appropriate for reality based on Shin Jae hyo's own view of properties.

  • Libraries have recently sought to diversify their roles to meet the changing needs of local residents, while faithfully playing the library's original roles. The creation of a complex cultural space and the provision of services based on it are one of the ways to expand its role. In this study, a surveyed and analyzed the awareness of the complex cultural space of the library and the preference and awareness of the program operated in the complex cultural space by conducting a survey on the users of the library currently operating the complex cultural space. As a result, first, it was found that they preferred information space, education space, and rest space in space preference. On the other hand, community space and experience space showed low preference. Second, they prefer educational programs, exhibition programs, and performance programs that utilize complex cultural spaces, but experience programs and community programs have low preference. Therefore, it is necessary to operate the program by providing exhibitions and performance spaces while providing information and education spaces to users. The librarian should also promote the fact that library can be only the space of information and education, but also the space where culture, healing, experience and communication take place. In addition, libraries should strive to improve user awareness of library space.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the development of information technology brought various benefits, but it also increased social interest in privacy issues. As the possibility of personal privacy violation by big data increases, academic discussion about privacy management has begun to be active. While the traditional view of privacy has been defined at various levels as the basic human rights, most of the recent research trends are mainly concerned only with the information privacy of online privacy protection. This limited discussion can distort the theoretical concept and the actual perception, making the academic and social consensus of the concept of privacy more difficult. In this study, we analyze the privacy concept that is exposed on the internet based on 12,000 news data of the portal site for the past one year and compare the difference between the theoretical concept and the socially accepted concept. This empirical approach is expected to provide an understanding of the changing concept of privacy and a research direction for the conceptualization of privacy for current situations.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate subjective symptoms according to the wearing, purchase and fitting status of soft contact lens wearers, and consumer perception of base curve. Methods : A survey was conducted for those who visited optical shops and lens shops in Seoul from June to August 2018. A total of 98 answer sheets they submitted were used for the analysis. The chi-square test and Fisher's exact test were used to compare subjective symptoms (dryness, glare, uncomfortable fitting, and decreased vision) according to whether fitting condition is screened (case history and push-up test, ect relevant to wearing sensation), and the odds ratio (OR) was obtained by the logistic regression analysis. Results : When the contact lenses were purchased, the rate of which the visual acuity test was performed was 86.6% at optical shop and 64.7% at lens shop. When purchasing contact lens and the contact lens was not tested for fitting, they more experienced dryness (OR 4.41, 95% CI 1.25-15.62) and uncomfortable fitting (OR 2.68, 95% CI 1.08-6.64) than testing for fitting. In addition, it was investigated that 87.8% of contact lens wearers did not know about the term base curve, 92.9% did not listen to an explanation related to the base curve when purchasing contact lenses, and 96.9% did not experience with base curve test. Conclusion : It would be thought that satisfaction of the contact lens fitting of existing consumers should be improved by changing a proper base curve by confirming the fitting condition when prescribing soft contact lens.

  • This study was conducted to understand and describe Korean nurses' perception of person-centered care for elderly patients in long-term care hospitals. Qualitative data were collected through four focus group interviews consisting of 21 nurses working in four long-term care hospitals in Jeolla and Gyeongsang provinces. Participants completed interviews from July 19 to 30, 2018. All interviews were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed by employing the thematic analysis method. Six main themes for the attributes of person-centered care for elderly patients in the long-term care hospitals were conceptualized: respecting individual needs, walking to the end, supporting hidden dreams, becoming a family partner, helping patients live like they are at home, and changing culture. Person-centered care perceived by nurses was conducted to provide individualized nursing according to elderly's preferences and help them discover the value and meaning of life through various activity programs. Nurses also recognized person-centered care to maintain cooperative relationships with their family members and share their decision-making process, as well as to form a physical environment and organizational culture that respects the rights and autonomy of the elderly. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to identify the diverse needs of the elderly and develop nursing intervention programs based on person-centered care.
