영재교사들이 지각하는 관찰-추천 영재판별 시스템의 방향, 중요도, 실행수준 분석: 개념도 연구법을 활용하여 (Exploring the Class Observation and Nomination System for the Identification of Gifted Students Using a Concept Mapping Approach)

  • 이 연구는 개념도 연구법이라는 새로운 연구방법을 소개하고 이를 활용하여 최근 이슈와 논란이 되고 있는 관찰-추천 영재 판별 시스템과 관련하여 현장에서 영재들을 지도하고 있는 영재담당교사들의 인식을 중심으로 관찰-추천 영재판별 시스템의 바람직한 방향 및 그 중요도 그리고 실행수준을 탐색해 보았다. 이를 위해 12명의 영재교사들이 영재판별에서 바람직한 관찰-추천 시스템의 방향에 대해 작성한 진술문을 산출, 종합, 분류하고 이를 기초로 다차원 척도와 위계적 군집분석을 실시하였다. 또한 여기서 산출된 바람직한 관찰-추천 시스템 관련 문항을 가지고 112명의 영재담당교사들을 대상으로 각 문항에 대한 중요도와 실행수준을 평가하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영재판별에서 관찰-추천 시스템의 방향 탐색 인식에 대한 브레인스토밍 결과를 토대로 진술문을 종합한 결과 36개의 진술문이 도출 되었으며 이들 36개의 진술문에 대한 비유사성 평정 자료를 사용하여 다차원 척도분석을 실시한 결과 2차원 개념도 제작에 적합한 stress 값은 .249이었다. 개념도에 나타난 진술문의 좌표 값을 기초로 위계적 군집 분석을 실시한 결과, 영재판별에서 관찰-추천 시스템의 방향 탐색인식은 4개의 범주로 나타났다. 각 범주명은 '전문성 확보', '행정적 지원 확보', '공정성 확보', '관찰-추천제의 원칙'으로 명명되었다. 둘째, '전문성 확보'와 '공정성 확보' 범주가 상대적으로 더 중요하게 인식되고 있는 것으로 드러났으며, 모든 범주에서 관찰-추천 영재판별 시스템의 방향 탐색의 중요도와 실행수준의 점수간에 유의한 차이가 있음이 나타났다. 이 연구는 앞으로 본격화될 관찰-추천에 의한 영재 판별이 바람직한 방향으로 정착하기 위해 무엇이 필요하고 중요하며 현재는 어느 수준으로 이루어지고 있는가를 현장에서 실질적으로 영재교육을 담당하고 있는 영재교사들을 통해 알아보는데 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

서울시 공공자전거 이용환경 만족도 영향요인 분석 (An Analysis of Factors Affecting Satisfaction with Seoul Public Bike)

  • 본 연구는 서울시 공공자전거 이용환경 만족도에 영향을 미치는 물리적 특성을 파악함으로써 서울시 공공자전거 서비스 개선을 위한 정책방향을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울시 공공자전거를 이용한 경험이 있는 이용자를 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였으며, 최종적으로 567명의 설문조사 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 분석방법은 IPA분석과 순서형 로지스틱 분석을 활용하였으며, 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서울시 공공자전거 IPA 분석 결과 모든 항목에서 중요도에 비해 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 특히 자전거 도로설치, 자전거 도로의 연결성 개선, 자전거 도로관리상태 개선, 차도와 자전거 도로 구분, 야간주행 시 안전성 개선, 안전시설물 설치의 경우 중요도는 높은 반면 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타나 가장 시급하게 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 서울시 공공자전거 이용환경 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과 인지된 근린환경특성 변수를 추가함에 따라 모형의 설명력이 0.062에서 0.437로 크게 증가한 것으로 나타나 인지된 근린환경특성이 서울시 공공자전거 이용환경 만족도를 결정하는 중요한 변수임을 확인하였다. 또한 인지된 근린환경특성 중에서는 접근성, 편의성, 관리성, 경제성 변수가 서울시 공공자전거 이용환경 만족도와 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 경제성, 편의성, 관리성, 접근성 순으로 영향력이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

The Management of International Distribution Channels : Focusing on the Perspective Korean Exporting Companies

  • Purpose - The objective of this research is to investigate how selected Korean General Trading Companies, (KGTCs), manage their international distribution channels to sustain the growth of the international marketplace. Specifically, the following questions were answered: What is the profile of the respondents in the position from the company, the experience in channel of distribution operations, the number of distribution channels existing in the international marketplace. Research design, data, methodology -The thirty-nine respondents representing 55 percent have less than 10 years of experience in channel of distribution operations while 34 respondents, equivalent to 45 percent have 10 or more years of experience. All of the respondent KGTCs are using the channel of distribution in their export operations in Asia. Respondent KGTCs' 2015 export sales in Asia were between US$ 100 to 200 million. Results - There are no significant differences in the perceptions of the two groups of respondents with regard to the perceived practices of KGTC in the management of international distribution channels. Exporting companies use common sense when managing conflicts and emphasize the importance of a clear contract which states what obligations and requirements there are of each party in order to prevent conflict. Conclusions - The higher level of details in the contract, the lesser would conflicts arise. The more intense communication, the higher level of information exchange. 간호사가 인식한 환자의 건강문해력 : 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 중심으로 (Health Literacy on Patients, Perceived by Nurses in Hospital : Focusing on Focus Group Interview Approach)

  • 본 연구는 현직 간호사가 인식한 환자의 건강문해력을 탐색하기 위한 질적연구이다. 서울과 부산의 종합병원에서 근무 중인 간호사 총 10명을 2개 그룹으로 나누어 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였고, 인터뷰 내용은 연구참여자 동의 하에 녹음 후 필사하였다. 수집된 자료는 질적내용 분석방법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 간호사들은 환자의 연령, 학력, 소득수준, 기저질환, 정서상태 등에 따라 환자의 건강문해력에 차이가 있다고 인식하였다. 간호사가 건강문해력의 중요성을 더욱 인식하고 환자의 건강문해력 수준을 면밀히 파악하여 의사소통하도록 돕는 교육이 필요하며, 건강문해력이 취약한 환자를 지원하는 보건의료시스템의 변화가 요구된다.

대학생이 지각한 가족건강성과 친구애착이 심리적 안녕에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Perceived Family Strengths and Friend Attachment on Psychological Well-being among College Students)

  • Objectives: The main purpose of this study was to examine how family strengths affect friend attachment and psychological well-being among college students and to analyze the relative influence of these two variables on psychological well-being. Method: Data were collected by self-administered questionnaire method from 362 university students in four different regions. The data were analyzed through various statistical methods such as t and F tests, Pearson's correlation analyses, and multiple regression analyses. Results: First, there were significant differences in the level of psychological well-being according to gender and the monthly family income, showing that males and higher family income group reported greater psychogocal-well-being level. Males also reported lower level of anxious attachment. Second, correlational analyses results indicated that college students' psychological well-being was positively related with family strengths and secure attachment, and was negatively correlated with avoidant and anxious attachment. Finally, the results of hierarchical multiple regression analyses indicated that college student's psychological well-being was influenced by family communication, secure attachment, and anxious attachment, showing that anxious attachment was the most influential variable. Conclusions: This study suggests the importance of providing education and/or counseling services focusing on strengthening the positive relationship with their friends and on increasing the family communication for college students' psychological well-being.

  • Many e-Learning companies are incorporated for the last five years, but most of them are failed or merged by the other company. The main reasons are the absence of competitive strategies and recognition of critical success factors. There are many researches on the critical success factors of Information System (IS) and Electronic Commerce (EC) . We derived e-Learning success factors from the previous IS and EC researches. We classified the success factors into five dimensions, (1) contents management, (2) learner management, (3) business strategy, (4) organizational support and ability, (5) learning management system (LMS), and each dimension has 9 or more success factors measurement items. We surveyed the perceived importance of the success factors from the manager of South Korea e-Learning firms. The paper categorized the items into two or more factors for each dimension by the exploratory factor analysis. Finally, we conducted one-way ANOVA for each success factors by the business model. As a result, there is different importance level for each success factors by the business model. We concluded that each e-Learning company needs different strategies to their business model.

20대와 30대 비혼 청년의 결혼 및 출산 가능성 관련 요인 (Factors Associated with the Possibility of Marriage and Childbearing among Never Married Young Adults in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how sociodemographic status, family-related influences, and perceived future economic prospects were associated with the possibility of getting married and having children in a sample of 607 single young Korean adults. The sample comprised unmarried men and women in their 20s and 30s taken from the 2021 Seoul Family Report survey, and descriptive statistical and multiple regression analyses were conducted on the data. The results indicated that age, non-traditional marriage/childbearing values, parents' marital relationship during childhood, and the prospect of having a stable job and owning a home were significantly related to the possibility of marriage. With regard to the possibility of having children, a significant relationship was found with age, level of education, non-traditional marriage/childbearing values, recognition of the importance of family, parents' marital relationship during childhood, and the prospect of having a stable job and owning a home. The study also examined the importance of policies that make the possibility of marriage and having children more appealing to young unmarried adults in Korea by providing a positive outlook for the economy, a sense of stability, and a supportive approach to the value of having a family.

The Customer Satisfaction Index Model: An Empirical Study of the Private Healthcare Sector in Malaysia

  • The main purpose of this study was to gauge the patient satisfaction index and subsequently discuss the Importance-Performance (IP) matrix analysis of the inpatient services in the context of the private hospital setting. The Malaysian Customer Satisfaction Index Model was employed as the theoretical framework for the above purposes. This study involving 242 patients in Malaysian's private healthcare sector used a Web-based survey as the main method of data collection. Partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was utilized for data analysis. Using Fornell et al. (1996)'s formula, the resulting patient satisfaction index was slightly lower than the "very satisfied" category, the target level required for positioning as one of the world's premier medical tourism players. The IP matrix showed that medical quality is the main competitive advantage of the private hospitals that can propel their growth in the global healthcare marketplace. The results also indicate that outcome quality, patient rights, and privacy, and service quality are the three quality domains that need to be prioritized for further improvement. On the other hand, the servicescape quality domain needs to be strategized as the unique selling proposition as the performance of the private hospitals in this regard is already extremely good.

An Analytical Study on the Importance and Performance of Factors of Online Video Usage: Focusing on the Comparison of Chinese and Korean Platforms

  • Purpose - The field of online videos has seen rapid changes in information and communications technology (ICT) development. Despite active academic research on the use of online platforms, few studies have analyzed the relative importance among the factors determined. In this study, the relative importance of factors found in previous studies was identified for users of online video platforms in China and Korea. Through this, factors that should be considered first in research on online video use were derived. In addition, the quality level of online video platforms currently used in China and Korea was measured and used for analysis. The analysis results can provide information for companies to enter Chinese and Korean markets and also be useful to platform providers aiming to increase usage. Design/methodology - Among the factors of Online Video Usage identified in previous studies, 13 factors to be studied were selected through focus group interviews and hierarchized into 2 layers. For the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), each factor was designed as a pairwise comparison questionnaire. The survey included questions on the quality of online video platform currently in use. Data collection was conducted on 16 platforms in China and 11 platforms in Korea, and the relative importance of factors and user perspectives was compared and analyzed using importance performance analysis (IPA). In the analytical process, platforms were divided into over-the-top (OTT) group and Creator group according to the weight of user-generated content, and data analysis focused on these groups. Findings - As a result of AHP, China and Korea showed both "Fun" and "Interests" factors at the top, while the importance of the Entertainment factor "Vicarious satisfaction" was very different for China and Korea. "Relationship with content creators" was the most important factor in China, but it ranked the lowest in Korea. The IPA showed that the factors with high importance and performance were fun, interests, and easy accessibility for both China and Korea. In contrast, the factors that showed low performance compared to high importance in China were relationship with content creators, relationship with acquaintances/friends, and trustworthiness. As for Korea, vicarious satisfaction was observed; thus, this study has raised the need for academic and industrial interest in vicarious satisfaction. The results show that fun, interests, vicarious satisfaction, and easy accessibility of the platform are factors that must be included in further studies on online videos. Originality/value - Existing studies related to the use of online platforms have derived factors or focused on the influence relationship between factors and performance. However, few studies have analyzed the relative importance among the determined factors. This paper explores factors to be considered in future studies by deriving the relative importance between these factors from the perspective of users in China and Korea.

사전예약을 통한 구매결정이 소비자의 선택에 미치는 영향력의 작동원리에 관한 실증연구 (The Mechanism of the Influence of Advanced Selling on Consumer Choice)

  • Purpose - In recent, a research finds that advanced selling can influence a consumer's choice(Kim et al., 2013). Advanced selling is defined as the new product launching strategy which company allows consumers to preorder new product before its release(Chu & Zhang, 2011). Prior researches have focused on the benefits of advanced selling(e.g., information gathering for demand prediction, an advantage for pricing strategy, and so on) for companies using this strategy(Chen, 2001; Chu & Zhang, 2011; Li & Zhang, 2013; Tang et al., 2004; Xie & Shugan, 2009). However, Kim et al.(2013) find it can also influence a consumer's choice. In detail, they suggest that when consumers use advanced selling, they are likely to prefer high-performance options rather than low-price options based on construal level theory(Trope & Liberman, 2003). In this paper, we tried to expand the prior researches for finding the mechanism of the influence of advanced selling on a consumer's choice. The purpose of this research is to test the mediating effect on the influence of advanced selling. Research design, data, and methodology - To find the mechanism of the influence of advanced selling, we designed an experiment for testing mediation effect. we recruited 93 students from a university. We assigned participants into one of two groups using randomization method. The participants with each group were given a scenario describing the sales strategy. Finally, they made a choice between high-performance option and low-price option. Sequentially, they also responded some questions for testing mediation effect. Results - First, we replicated prior research to test the influence of advanced selling. As a result, we could find that consumers prefer the high-performance option when they preorder it to purchase at the time of consumption. Thus, the replication result is the same as prior research. Second, we tested that advanced selling can influence the perception of temporal distance. The results confirmed that consumers perceived longer temporal distance in advanced selling condition(β = 1.575, SE = 0.272, p < 0.001). Third, we predicted that temporal distance can increase the importance of desirable attributes and decrease the importance of feasible attributes. The results suggested that temporal distance decreased significantly the importance of attributes related to feasibility(β = -0.19, SE = 0.07, p < 0.01), however, it had non-significant effect on increasing the importance of desirable attributes. Finally, we used Sobel-test for testing mediation effect, and it confirmed that the importance of feasible attributes had mediating role of the influence of advanced selling(Sobel test statistic = -2.110, SE = 0.111, p < 0.05). Conclusions - In this paper, we tried to find the mechanism of the influence on advanced selling from a consumer's choice. With an experiment, we confirmed that the importance of feasible attributes could mediate the effect on advanced selling. Therefore, we suggested some theoretical and practical contributions from this research. Finally, we discussed research limitations and suggested future research topics.
