To evaluate the effect of informational support by hospice team on family caregivers of terminally ill cancer patients, 22 family caregivers of D University Hospital in Daegu city were participated. The research was conducted from Aug. 16th to Oct. 28th 2000 by using self-reported questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were the Weinert's scale of perceived social support, Spielberger's state anxiety inventory, CES-D, and Ellison and Paloutzian's spiritual well-being scale. The intervention was designed to give educational and counselling program up to 7 times within 4 weeks. Educational and counselling booklets which made by the researcher were used step by step by hospice team. The data were analysed frequency, percentage, Wilcoxon Singed Ranks Test Test with SPSS Win 10.0/PC. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 1.The perceived social support of family caregivers was significantly increased after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z=-3.045, p=0.002). 2.The anxiety of family caregivers was significantly reduced after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z=-3.348, p=0.001). 3.The depression of family caregivers was significantly reduced after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z=-3.641, p=0.000). 4.The spiritual well-being score of family caregivers was not significantly improved after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z=-0.422, p=0.673). In conclusion, the results of this study clearly suggests that the informational support provided by hospice team not only increased the family caregivers' who are caring for terminally ill cancer patients. Therefor the informational support program designed by researcher for family caregivers who are caring for terminally ill cancer patients should be utilized and expended.

The purpose of this study was to verify the influence between the variables affecting the Agricultural high school students in career decisions. The results of this study are as follow. First, self-efficacy(${\beta}=.14$, p=.000), perceived usefulness(${\beta}=.52$, p=.000) and social support(${\beta}=.31$, p=.000) were found to be significant according to career decision of agricultural high school student the result of analysis of multiple regression. all regression coefficients were positive. second, perceived usefulness(${\beta}=.52$) was found on the most influential of the three variables. Finally, when students perform studies related to agro-industry can be called self-efficacy are important factors. also The real working environment for the agro-industrial field placement, explore the world of work, ways of understanding reality based on what they learned at school such as university-industry linkage will also be established.

The study aims to identify factors that influence university and college students' entrepreneurial intentions in Vietnam's Mekong Delta region. The study examines entrepreneurship mindset, subjective norm, capital sources, concept development assistance, personality qualities, and perceived behavioral control of university support for a student's entrepreneurial aim. The research was conducted according to the quantitative method. The data was collected through an online survey with a sample size of 611 students from 19 universities and colleges in the Mekong Delta region. The methods that test the scale, including Cronbach Alpha Test, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), are used to consider the correlation between the influence factors. The results of SEM analysis show that there are five main factors affecting students' entrepreneurial intention with decreasing level of influence, including the source of capital, perceived behavioral control, business development support, entrepreneurial attitude, and educational support. Besides, the results indicate that the subjective norm, personality traits, and concept development support have no impact on the intention of students toward entrepreneurship. The research also reveals that the entrepreneurial intention of students at universities and colleges has a positive relationship and is significantly affected by capital source and perceived behavioral control.
In spite of rapid sociocultural changes and an increase in the number of nuclear families in recent years, quite many families in Korea still have taken the extended family form where daughter-in-law provides care for the elderly parents. Even though the nature of the inter-generational relationship in Korea is reciprocal in many regards, most of the studies looked at the burden or costs of coresidence with the elderly parents while relatively little attention has been given to the positive side of the coresidence. This study is an attempt to fill this gap in the area. The purpose of this study is to examine not only the costs but also benefits of the coresidence with the elderly parents. We also explore whether there is a rural-urban differences in costs and benefits of coresidence and related factors. For the purpose, data were gathered from 876 daughters-in-law of three generational family both in rural and urban area, using structured questionnaire. The statistical methods used for data analysis were descriptive statistics, cross tables, and regression analysis with SPSS/PC+ program. The major findings of this study were as follows: Marital and economic status of the elderly parents, age, job status and filial responsibility attitude of caregiver, sibling support, and coresidence duration were the significant variables predicting the level of perceived benefits. Marital status of elderly parents, income, job status, educational level, and filial responsibility altitude of caregiver, residence region affected the level of perceived costs. Rural-urban differences are found in many aspects of coresidence experiences and related factors. Rural caregivers receive higher level of the sibling support, have more traditional final responsibility altitude and perceived less costs and more benefit than urban caregivers. There also are differences in the factors influencing the level of perceived costs and benefits between rural and urban area. Level of sibling support and final responsibility attitude have significant impact on both the perceived costs and benefits. But there are differences in terms of that perceived costs and benefits of urban caregivers are affected by job status of caregivers while those of rural caregivers are affected by educational level of caregivers and marital status of elderly. The results confirm that Korean caregivers experience both positive and negative aspects of coresidence and shows that the nature of the inter-generational relationships differ between rural and urban Korea.
The purpose of this study aimed to investigate the gender differences in the mediating effects of perceived social support and negative comparison in the relation between social networking sites and depression. For this analysis, 483 samples were collected and conducted by multi-group structural equation model. The findings of this study were as follows: (1) Collective identity was observed both in Facebook and in Internet Cafe activities. (2) Collective identity was positively related to perceived social support, but perceived social support was negatively related to depression. Also, negative comparison was positively related to depression. (3) In terms of gender differences, the Facebook activities were negatively related to depression for male while the internet cafe activities were positively related to depression for female. Lastly, (4) The collective identity was positively related to negative comparison for female.

This study examined the mediating effects of perceived organizational support (POS) on the relationship between the person-job fit and job satisfaction of service workers. POS is divided into socioemotional POS and instrumental POS. To achieve the research purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on workers in charge of service jobs in domestic companies through an on-line survey system and finally, the results of 281 respondents were analyzed to verify the hypothesized research model with an 80.3% effective recovery rate. The findings are as follows. First, the person-job fit has positive effects on job satisfaction and POS. Second, among the sub-constructs of POS, socioemotional support has mediating effects, but instrumental support has no mediating effects on the relationship between person-job fit and job satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, this study suggests theoretical and practical implications for the human resource development and management of service workers. Overall, changes in the recruitment system, which can judge the person-job fit of employees who perform emotional labor facing customers, organizational culture and personnel system for establishing socioemotional support system, and compensation and workforce development system, are needed to enhance the job satisfaction of service workers.
This study aims to examine the effects of self-directed learning readiness (SDLR) on academic performance and the perceived usefulness for each elements of flipped learning. Based on their SDLR scores, 69 students were assigned to a high SDLR group and a low SDLR group. Academic performance was measured by the completion rate of a pre-class online learning and the final exam score, and perceived usefulness for each element of flipped learning was measured by a survey designed by the researcher. For academic performance, the high SDLR group showed a significantly higher completion rate than the low SDLR group, but no significant difference was observed in their final exam scores. Students in the high SDLR group perceived in-class student-centered activities as more useful than those in the low SDLR group. Additional qualitative analyses indicated that students needed more support from instructors and well-prepared peers. Finally, this study suggested that more examination on the various learning characteristics that may influence the effectiveness of flipped learning should be done.
It is commonly understood that students' autonomous motivation and individualistic orientations and instructors' autonomy support are important for student-centered learning (SCL). However, few studies have examined this assumption. To help researchers and practitioners design more engaging SCL experiences across diverse cultural contexts, this study examines the associations of these factors with SCL engagement and how these associations compare in different cultures. University students in South Korea and the United States participated in a bold SCL assignment, called Pink Time, in which students decide what and how they learn. Linear, multivariate models were estimated in each context to identify and compare relationships between SCL engagement and student characteristics and perceptions. We found that engagement was high in both contexts. Autonomous motivation, individualism, and perceived instructor support each had significant associations with SCL engagement in South Korea. In the US, which had a smaller sample size, only perceived instructor support was significantly associated. These findings suggest that SCL strategies can be effective across cultures. Also, the narrower classroom context, specifically instructors' support, may be a stronger driver of engagement than the broader societal context. This study contributes to the scholarly discussion regarding SCL in diverse settings and offers several implications for instructors.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to conduct a systematic assessment on the level of health status, and quality of life of the health care beneficiaries registered in health management programs of public health centers. In order to investigate the level of health status and the quality of life and to find factors affecting them, the PRECEDE model, that was developed by Green, et al. for the purpose of a comprehensive diagnostic research, was used. Method: The subjects were 81 residents who resided K-gu, Seoul. Data were collected from September, 1999 to August, 2000 using a self reported questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, Kruskall-Wallis test, Pearson's correlation coefficient. and path analysis. Results: 1. The quality of life and the level of health promoting lifestyle were moderate or more, but were not significantly different by sex, age, marital status, educational level. occupation, and monthly household income. 2. Self-efficacy was significantly correlated to be a perceived benefit, social support and health-promoting lifestyle. Perceived benefit had a significant correlation with social support and health promoting lifestyle. There was also a significant correlation between the level of satisfaction, and the availability of the health promotion program. 3. Social support, health promoting lifestyle, and health status were found to influence the quality of life directly, whereas self efficacy and perceived benefit affected the quality of life indirectly through social support. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the health promotion program should include strategies to strengthen self efficacy and perceived benefit to enhance social support, and to encourage health promoting behaviors in order to improve the quality of life of the health care beneficiary.
The objective of this study is to find out the difference in perceptional fatigue and health promoting behavior between hospital nurses and public health nurses. The subjects of this study were 141 hospital nurses and 73 public health nurses in Daejeon. Data were collected using a self-reporting questionnaire during the period from the 5th to 16th of March 2003. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS program. Real number, percentage, mean and standard deviation were calculated, and $x^2$-test and t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression procedures were carried out. The findings of this study as follows: 1. The mean score of health promoting behavior was 2.71. 2. There were statistically significant differences in health promoting behavior according to age, marital status, family status, residency, educational level, income, the length of work experience and the field of work. (p<0.05) 3. There were statistically significant differences in fatigue according to age, marital status, family status, educational level, income, the length of work experience, perceived health status and the field of work. (p<0.05) 4. The fatigue was found to be in significant negative correlations with health promoting (r=-0.358, p<0.000) and self efficacy (r=-0.314, p<0.000). On the contrary, a significant positive correlation was found between fatigue and perceived barriers (r=0.210, p<00.01). 5. There were five predictors affecting health promoting behavior, which were self-efficacy, income, perceived benefit, fatigue and family support. The most influential factor was self-efficacy that made 31% of prediction, followed by income (6%), perceived benefit (5.2%), fatigue (2.2%) and family support (1.7%) in their order. As a whole, these factors made 46.1% of prediction of health promotion behavior.
