Environmental and Economic Impact of EV and FCEV Penetration into the Automobile Industry: A CGE Approach (전기 및 수소차 보급 확산의 환경적·경제적 영향분석: 계산가능일반균형모형(CGE)의 적용)

  • This paper analyzed the impact of the penetration of EV(electric vehicle) and FCEV(fuel cell electric vehicle) into the automobile industry, using a static CGE approach. There are contrasting view on the economic impact of EV/FCEV penetration: negative economic impact due to shrunken intermediate inputs versus positive impact because of input saving technical progress. Regarding environment, there is no clear consensus whether EV or FCEV will contribute to the reduction of $CO_2$ emissions in Korea. This study attempts to provide an answer to these questions. By giving shocks to the input coefficients of automobile industries and automobile using sectors, as well as to the final demands for energies. we integrated the Bass diffusion model into the CGE framework, The result suggests that the EV penetration has adverse impact on the $CO_2$ emission while the FCEV penetration has positive impact. On the other hand, both EV and FCEV have positive impacts on GDP. When considering automobile manufacturing sectors only, adverse impacts on $CO_2$ are demonstrated both for EV and FCEV. However, since the size of $CO_2$ increase is small, these results does not alter the overall effects.

  • Survey has been made to evaluate technological level and to identify research issues in CAD/CAM area. It is found out that major users of the CAD/CAM system are in mechanical and electronics as well as garment industries. Their experience shows that the impact of the CAD/CAM introduction is not yet noticeable in drafting man power and cost reduction. It is identified that the low penetration rate of CAD/CAM technology in industry is due to the lack of locally developed CAD/CAM softwares.

  • 본 논문에서는 무한 도체판에 존재하는 폭이 좁은 슬롯에 단락도체를 설치하였을 때 슬롯을 통하여 침투하는 침투전자파의 크기를 검토하고 있다. 이론해석으로서는 슬롯 개구면의 전계분포에 관한 적분방정식을 유도하고, 개구면 전계분포를 등가 반경의 개념을 적용한 선자류로 가정하여 구분정현함수를 사용한 Galerkin의 모멘트법으로 침투전자파의 크기를 계산하였다. 슬롯에 평면파가 입사할 때 슬롯 개구에 설치된 단락도체에 의해 개구면 전계분포가 제어되고 침투전자파의 크기가 감소된다는 것을 확인하고 있다.

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of ternary blended cement concrete mixed with slag cement and fly ash on the compressive strength, the resistance to chloride ion penetration and reduction of hydration heat. Each performance of ternary blended cement concrete compared with binary blended cement concrete and ordinary portland cement concrete. As a result, it was concluded that ternary blended cement concrete is suitable to mass concrete under marine environment.

  • Composite sabot can increase the penetration performance of APFSDS projectile by reduction of the sabot weight. However, it has a thick-sectioned lamination and the lamination structure is different from those of the conventional composite parts. In this study, modeling technique for a thick and radially-laminated composite part has been applied in the finite element analysis of composite sabot. Four models of composite lamination for the sabot have been proposed and evaluated for their structural strength.

  • An artificial reef is a human-made underwater structure to improve marine environment and to provide a habitat for fish and other ocean wildlife. An artificial reef is placed on the ocean ground. In soft ground like most of the seabed soil, the ground has been settled due to weight of artificial reef. This study investigated the bearing capacity and settlement reduction effect of geosynthetics which were reinforced on the ground in a large size tank. Penetration tests and large soil tank laboratory tests were performed to investigate settlement reduction effect and bearing capacity on artificial reef with different spreading area of geogrid. Laboratory test results indicate that the spreaded geogrid under artificial reef reduce the settlement of ground and increase bearing capacity of ground.

  • In this study, the fundamental test for drag reduction is carried out by using a plasma generator. Fundamental test setup is constructed of visualization and drag measurement system. The schlieren technique is used to visualize the plasma counterflow in supersonic flow. The penetration of the plasma jet and the change of the flow structure are observed through visualization results. Load cell is used to confirm possibility of drag reduction. Results show that drag was reduced by 6.2% using plasma jet in supersonic flow.

  • This paper presents the reduction methods of penetrated electromagnetic fields through a narrow slot aperture in a planar conducting screen of infinite extent. When a plane wave is excited to the narrow slot, the aperture electric field is controlled by the resistive sheets loaded on the slot. The magnitude of penetrated electromagnetic fields through a narrow slot is controlled by electric field distributions on the slot aperture. The results show that the magnitude of the penetrated electromagnetic field can be effectively reduced by the resistive sheets on the slot aperture.

  • This paper presents a reduction method of penetrated electromagnetic fields through a narrow slot with resistive sheet in a planar conducting screen of infinite extent. The magnitude of penetrated electromagnetic fields through the narrow slot is controlled by the electric field distribution on the slot. A Study on the Permeabilities of Concretes Containing Silica Fume (실리카 흄을 혼입한 콘크리트의 투과특성에 관한 연구)

  • Tests have been carried out on four concrete containing different levels of silica fume to measure their permeability coefficient using water and oxygen, chloride ion. The total cementitious content was 351kg/㎥, and the water/cementitious materials ratio was 0.55. The results show that a dramatic reduction in permeability of concrete containing silica fume occurs due to formation of a discontinuous macro-pore system which inhibits flow. Porosity estimates from mercury-intrusion porosimetry are used to develop an explanations for the water and air permeability reduction. And, results of the rapid permeability test showed that the resistance of concrete to the penetration of chloride ions increases significantly as a contents of silica-fume is increased. The current intensity passing through the concrete containing silica fume is presented from 664C to 2166C.
