정보 시스템 최종 사용자의 피드백 탐색 행위와 합목적적 정보 시스템 활용;중소기업을 대상으로 한 실증적 연구

  • The number of SMEs taking up information systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning has been growing rapidly, and many of those organizations have stepped into the stage of ongoing use at this point. Thus, research which takes into account idiosyncratic nature of SME environment is more important than before. Through an empirical study using survey method, we tried to examine the importance of end user's feedback seeking behavior in SMEs and how environmental factors affecting such behavior reinforce and interact with the feedback seeking behavior itself. The result shows that end user's active role as a voluntary feedback seeker is important in utilizing information systems in accordance with the initial design intention in ongoing use environment. Furthermore, in order to facilitate such feedback seeking behavior in SME environment, it is essential that management's involvement and communicating to its employees the importance of effectively utilizing the information systems as well as the support of peer IT champ.

  • Small-and-medium sized enterprises(SMEs) represent quite a large proportion of the industry as a whole in terms of the number of enterprises or employees. However researches on information system so far have focused on large companies, probably because SMEs were not so active in introducing information systems as larger enterprises. SMEs are now increasingly bringing in information systems such as ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) and some of the companies already entered the stage of ongoing use. Accordingly, researches should deal with the use of information systems by SME s operating under different conditions from large companies. This study examined factors and mechanism inducing faithful appropriation of information systems, in particular integrative systems such as ERP, in view of individuals` active feedback-seeking behavior. There are three factors expected to affect end users` feedback-seeking behavior for faithful appropriation of information systems. They are management support, peer IT champ support, and IT staff support. The main focus of the study is on how these factors affect feedback-seeking behavior and whether the feedback-seeking behavior plays the role of mediator for realizing faithful appropriation of information systems by end users. To examine the research model and the hypotheses, this study employed an empirical method based on a field survey. The survey used measurements mostly employed and verified by previous researches, while some of the measurements had gone through minor modifications for the purpose of the study. The survey respondents are individual employees of SMEs that have been using ERP for one year or longer. To prevent common method bias, Task-Technology Fit items used as the control variable were made to be answered by different respondents. In total, 127 pairs of valid questionnaires were collected and used for the analysis. The PLS(Partial Least Squares) approach to structural equation modeling(PLS-Graph v.3.0) was used as our data analysis strategy because of its ability to model both formative and reflective latent constructs under small-and medium-size samples. The analysis shows Reliability, Construct Validity and Discriminant Validity are appropriate. The path analysis results are as follows; first, the more there is peer IT champ support, the more the end user is likely to show feedback-seeking behavior(path-coefficient=0.230, t=2.28, p<0.05). In other words, if colleagues proficient in information system use recognize the importance of their help, pass on what they have found to be an effective way of using the system or correct others' misuse, ordinary end users will be able to seek feedback on the faithfulness of their appropriation of information system without hesitation, because they know the convenience of getting help. Second, management support encourages ordinary end users to seek more feedback(path-coefficient=0.271, t=3.06, p<0.01) by affecting the end users' perceived value of feedback(path-coefficient=0.401, t=6.01, p<0.01). Management support is far more influential than other factors that when the management of an SME well understands the benefit of ERP, promotes its faithful appropriation and pays attention to employees' satisfaction with the system, employees will make deliberate efforts for faithful appropriation of the system. However, the third factor, IT staff support was found not to be conducive to feedback-seeking behavior from end users(path-coefficient=0.174, t=1.83). This is partly attributable to the fundamental reason that there is little support for end users from IT staff in SMEs. Even when IT staff provides support, end users may find it less important than that from coworkers more familiar with the end users' job. Meanwhile, the more end users seek feedback and attempt to find ways of faithful appropriation of information systems, the more likely the users will be able to deploy the system according to the purpose the system was originally meant for(path-coefficient=0.35, t=2.88, p<0.01). Finally, the mediation effect analysis confirmed the mediation effect of feedback-seeking behavior. By confirming the mediation effect of feedback-seeking behavior, this study draws attention to the importance of feedback-seeking behavior that has long been overlooked in research about information system use. This study also explores the factors that promote feedback-seeking behavior which in result could affect end user`s faithful appropriation of information systems. In addition, this study provides insight about which inducements or resources SMEs should offer to promote individual users' feedback-seeking behavior when formal and sufficient support from IT staff or an outside information system provider is hardly expected. As the study results show, under the business environment of SMEs, help from skilled colleagues and the management plays a critical role. Therefore, SMEs should seriously consider how to utilize skilled peer information system users, while the management should pay keen attention to end users and support them to make the most of information systems.

병원 간호단위관리자의 다면평가($360^{\circ}$ feedback)에 관한 연구 (A Study on $360^{\circ}$ Feedback of Nursing Unit Manager in a Hospital)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop 360 feedback for nursing unit manager based on the current personnel evaluation system and to evaluate the new tool according to evaluation subjects. Total of 277 subjects of nurse unit managers and staff nurses were participated in this study. Method: The study was conducted in three phases each for development, application, and analysis of 360 feedback. SAS program was utilized for data analysis with descriptive statistics, t-test, and analysis of variance. Result: The evaluation criteria of the developed 360 feedback tool consisted of 13 subscales such as professional knowledge, apprehension & judgement, job performance, applicability, creativity, leadership, responsibility, promptness & accuracy, administrative ability & sense of mission, activeness, cooperation, communicability, and general attitude. The internal consistency of the tool was Cronbach's alpha .939. The evaluation score by! peers(M=4.30) was the highest one, followed by self-evaluation(M=4.23), evaluation by supervisor(M=4.17), and evaluation by subordinate(M=4.10). The differences in the total evaluation scores among the subjects supervisor, self, peer, and subordinate were not statistically significant, but significant differences were found in some subscales scores. Conclusion: Further research is required to test the reliability and validity of the $360^{\circ}$ feedback tool, and to test the outcome and the process of $360^{\circ}$ feedback system.

동료평가의 현황과 전망 (The Current State and Prospects of Peer Assessment)

  • 동료평가란 학생들이 다른 학생의 글, 발표, 집단 활동과 같은 평가 대상이 될 수 있는 모든 결과물이나 수행 과정에 대해 점수를 매기거나 의견을 제공하는 활동을 가리킨다. 동료평가는 채점부담으로 인해 잘 활용되지 않는 글쓰기 기회를 늘릴 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 평가를 하는 과정을 통해 학습도 향상시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 개관 논문에서는, 주요 동료평가 시스템과 동료평가를 사용한 경험적 연구 결과를 소개한 다음, 동료평가 확산의 장애 요인을 살펴보고, 앞으로의 연구에서 해결되어야 할 과제가 논의되었다. 이 논의를 통해 동료평가에 대한 후속 연구가 활성화되고 동료평가가 실제 교육 장면에서 활용되어, 우리나라의 평가와 수업 방법에 큰 변화를 가져오기를 기대해본다.

변증(辨證) 기반 진료수행시험(CPX) 시나리오를 이용한 역할극에 대한 학생 자가 평가의 일치도와 개선 방안 (Consistency of Student Self-Assessment of Role Play Using the Syndrome Differentiation-Based Clinical Performance Examination Scenario and Improvement Measures)

  • Objectives : This study analyzed the concordance between student self-assessment and peer-evaluation in a role play using the Clinical Performance Examination (CPX) scenario developed based on Korean medical syndrome differentiation. Methods : The subjects of this study are first-year-students majoring in Korean Medicine. The role play based on clinical case was performed in the class of Korean Medicine Classics. Feedback on clinical skill competency got through student self-assessment and peer-evaluation, and this study was compared and analyzed of result. Results : A simple comparison of the results of self-assessment and peer-evaluation in the evaluation results of clinical skill competency may appear to be consistent. However, it was not statistically significant. It is necessary to enhance the discriminative ability in the evaluation of clinical skill competency. It will be possible to improve a bit by relatively increasing the weight of the scores on the items that students expect to respond differently among the evaluation items. In addition, in order to dramatically improve the systemicity and reliability of the evaluation of clinical skill competency itself, it is necessary to introduce the Introduction to Clinical Traditional Korean Medicine (ICTKM) course. Conclusions : Student's self-assessment and peer-evaluation as feedback on clinical skill competency are suitable for the purpose of education and training. However, the reliability of the evaluation was not statistically significant.

Investigating Learners' Perception on Their Engagement in Rating Procedures

  • This study investigates learners' perception on their engagement in rating activities in the EFL essay-writing context. The current study aims to address the answers to the following research questions: 1) What attitude do students show about their participation in the rating tasks? and 2) which of three aspects (e.g. the degree of rating experience, the exposure to English composition instruction and learning, and proficiency level) significantly influences learners' rating activities? 104 EFL learners participated in the rater training session. After participants finished rater training session, they rated three sample essays and peer essays using the given scoring guide. Based on the analysis of survey responses that students made, students showed positive attitude toward their engagement in rating tasks. For research question 2, only L2 writing proficiency seriously affected students' perception on the rating tasks. Advanced level of subjects did not feel stressed by a grade of peers as low level of subjects did. They were also critical about the benefits of self- and peer-assessment, suggesting that a peer's feedback on their own essay was not so useful and that a self-rating does not fully help learners identify their writing proficiency.

The Influence of SGRs on Self, Peer, and Instructor Evaluation in Higher Education

  • This research has three purposes: The first purpose is to verify whether SGRs(Student-Generated Rubrics) are effective for learner achievement in higher education or not. The second one is to analyze the agreements between an instructor's evaluations and peer group assessments with SGRs in real classroom situation. The final purpose is to propose the possibility of students' more objective self-evaluation with the use of SGRs. It appears that rubrics are effective tools to improve learner achievement in adult education and to promote the agreement between the instructor's and peer's evaluations, even though learners do not develop SGRs. In addition, this research has demonstrated that most students are not very accurate self-assessors, and they often overestimate themselves. This study can be helpful for novice instructors, especially for those who try to assess their students more fairly, to develop the SGRs as an evaluation tool appropriate for their own situation, and to give more reliable feedback to students.

문제 생성 전략과 피드백이 중학생들의 과학 성취도, 자기 효능감 및 수업에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Question Generating Strategy and Feedback on Science Achievement, Self-efficiency and Perception of the Class in Middle School)

  • 본 연구는 문제 생성 전략과 피드백 방법이 중학생들의 과학 성취도, 자기 효능감 및 수업에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 대도시에 소재한 중학교 1학년 3개 반을 대상으로 비교 집단은 전통적인 수업과 교사가 배부한 학습지의 문제를 풀도록 하였고, 실험 집단 1, 2는 전통적인 수업을 받은 후 문제를 생성하고 동료에 의한 피드백과 교사에 의한 피드백을 각각 받도록 하였다. 수업 전 자기 효능감 검사가 실시되었으며 수업 후에는 과학 성취도, 자기 효능감 및 수업에 대한 인식 검사가 이루어졌다. 결과 분석을 위하여 공분산분석, 다변량 공분산분석과 t-검정을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학 성취도에 있어서 비교 집단과 실험 집단들 간에는 큰 차이가 있었으나(p<.01), 실험 집단 간에는 차이가 없었다(p>.05). 둘째, 실험 집단은 비교 집단에 비해 자기 효능감에서 우수한 효과를 나타냈으며(p<.01), 실험 집단 1은 자기 효능감의 하위 영역 중 자기조절 부분에서(p<.01), 실험 집단 2는 과제 난이도 선호 부분에서(p<.01) 통계적으로 유의미한 결과가 나타났다. 셋째, 문제를 생성한 후 교사에 의한 피드백을 받은 실험 집단 2가 동료에 의해 피드백을 받은 실험 집단 1에 비해 수업에 대한 인식은 더 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다.

자율실습에서 형성적 피드백이 간호대학생의 실습만족도, 학습동기 및 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Formative Feedback Practice on Practice satisfaction, Learning motivation and Academic Self efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 자율실습에서 형성적 피드백을 적용한 후 학생의 실습만족도, 학습동기 및 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 효과를 확인한 비동등성 대조군 전후설계의 유사실험연구이다. 본 연구는 경인지역에 소재한 대학의 간호대학생 37명을 실험군으로 하여 교수자에 의한 형성적 피드백을, 전북지역에 소재한 대학의 간호대학생 41명을 대조군으로 하여 동영상 촬영 후 동료피드백을 적용하였다. 중재를 적용하기 전과 후에 자료수집을 하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 실험군이 대조군에 비해 실습만족도(t=-2.79, p=.007) 및 학업적 자기효능감(t=2.30, p=.024)은 유의하게 향상되었으나 학습동기는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이는 기존에 동영상 촬영 후 동료피드백을 제공하는 것보다 교수자에 의한 형성적 피드백을 제공하는 것이 더 효과적임을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 따라서 교수자들은 자율실습에서 간호학생들의 핵심기본간호술기 습득을 위하여 형성적 피드백을 적용하는 것을 고려할 필요가 있다.

영어 수업을 위한 교수 활동: 시범수업에 대한 학생들의 인식과 동료 피드백을 중심으로 (Teaching Practices for English Language: Exploring Students' Perceptions and Peer Feedback about Practicum)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내 한 대학 영어학과에서 실시된 시범수업에 대한 학생들의 인식과 동료피드백을 통해 학생들의 교수 활동을 살펴보는 것이다. 참여자는 영어교수법 수업을 수강한 42명의 학생들이며, 설문지, 12팀의 시범수업, 그리고 시범수업에 관한 15편의 동료피드백이 주된 데이터이다. 동료피드백의 내용 분석을 위해 '단어측정시스템(WCS)'이 사용되었다. 학생들은 시범수업(52.4%)이 강의(42.8%)보다 더 중요하다고 여겼으며, 80%의 학생들은 시범수업에 자신의 교안을 70% 이상 적용한 것으로 자평하였다. 또한 학생들은 시범수업을 통해 교사로서의 경험, 자신감 향상, 부족함 인식, 그리고 가르치는 일의 가치를 깨달았다. 한편, 동료 시범수업에서의 장점으로는 '교수방법과 기술', '멀티미디어 사용', 그리고 '교수자료' 등이 언급된 반면, '상호작용', '교수방법과 기술' 그리고 '칠판사용'등에 관한 부족함이 지적되었다. 전체적으로 칭찬의 내용이 보완되어야 할 요소보다 1.8배 많았다. 이러한 결과는 효과적인 교수활동에 관한 학생들의 안목과 긍정적인 동료피드백의 특성을 보여주는 것이라 할 수 있다.
