Biologist must have to do 2DGE biological experiment for Protein Search and Analysis. This experiment coming into being 2 dimensional image. 2DGE (2D Gel Electrophoresis : two dimensional gel electrophoresis) image is the most widely used method for isolating of the objective protein by comparative analysis of the protein spot pattern in the gel plane. The process of protein spot analysis, firstly segment protein spots that are spread in 2D gel plane by image processing and can find important protein spots through comparative analysis with protein pattern of contrast group. In the algorithm which detect protein spots, previous 2DGE image analysis is applies gaussian fitting, however recently Watersheds region based segmentation algorithm, which is based on morphological segmentation is applied. Watersheds has the benefit that segment rapidly needed field in big sized image, however has under-segmentation and over-segmentation of spot area when gray level is continuous. The drawback was somewhat solved by marker point institution, but needs the split and merge process. This paper introduces a novel marker search of protein spots by watersheds-based hierarchical threshold, which can resolve the problem of marker-driven watersheds.

Marine algal assemblages on the artificial reefs at three stations (Haengwon, Geumneung, Pyoseon in Jeju-do) and the growth pattern of Ecklonia cava with water depth were studied before and after rocky cleaning. Nine algal species occurred at three artificial reefs before rocky cleaning in July 2012, however, 19 algal species were found at three artificial reefs after rocky cleaning in July 2013. In particular, 13 of 19 species in 2013 were replaced by different species which were not found in July 2012. Algal biomass rapidly increased in July 2013 after rocky cleaning. The nMDS plot based on the presence and absence data of macro-algal assemblages on the artificial reefs showed that the species compositions between artificial reefs were similar to each other before rocky cleaning operations in July of 2012. However, after rocky cleaning, the species composition of macro-algal assemblages in Haengwon region was similar to that in Pyoseon region while that in Geumneung region was different to those in Haengwon and Pyseon regions in July 2013. It is needed to clarify the suitable water depth for transplantation of perennial Phaeophyta E. cava. According to the data on seasonal changes in total length, total weight, blade length, blade width, blade weight of E. cava, it began to grow rapidly from April and reached to the maximum value in June, and then degeneration of the blade occurred in July and continued to early August. Although the total length of E. cava at 10m water depth was larger than those at 5 m and 15 m water depths, there was no significant difference statistically among water depths by ANOVA test. However, in the values of total weight, blade length, blade width, and blade weight, the growth patterns at 5 m water depth were larger than those at 10 m and 15 m. Thus, it is assumed that the most suitable water depth for transplantation and its maximum growth and effective release of zoospores of E. cava will be 7~10 m water depth.

In this paper, we propose the development of MHLA(Modulatory Hippocampus Learning Algorithm) which remodel a principle of brain of hippocampus. Hippocampus takes charge auto-associative memory and controlling functions of long-term or short-term memory strengthening. We organize auto-associative memory based 3 steps system(DG, CA3, CAl) and improve speed of learning by addition of modulator to long-term memory learning. In hippocampal system, according to the 3 steps order, information applies statistical deviation on Dentate Gyrus region and is labelled to responsive pattern by adjustment of a good impression. In CA3 region, pattern is reorganized by auto-associative memory. In CAI region, convergence of connection weight which is used long-term memory is learned fast by neural networks which is applied modulator. To measure performance of MHLA, PCA(Principal Component Analysis) is applied to face images which are classified by pose, expression and picture quality. Next, we calculate feature vectors and learn by MHLA. Finally, we confirm cognitive rate. The results of experiments, we can compare a proposed method of other methods, and we can confirm that the proposed method is superior to the existing method.
This study was carried out as a field survey and a review of articles to investigate a characteristic of the distribution pattern in Korean endemic Corylopsis coreana. Distribution of Corylopsis coreana was found in Boseung-gun, Gwangyang-si, Suncheon-si, Jeumam-myeon Goheung-gun, Ganjeon-myeon Gurye-gun, Mt, Cheongwan Jangheung-gun, Nogodan Mt. Jiri in Jeollanam-do, Mt. Cheonhwang Namwon-si and Beamsagol and Banyabong Mt. Jiri in Jeollabuk-do, Sancheong-gun, hadong-gun and Namhea-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do and Mt. Backun, Pocheon-si in Gyeonggi-do. Total flora in the distribution region of Coryloplsis coreana was recorded as 242 taxa; 70 families, 159 genus, 216 species, 22 varieties, 4 forma. Ratio of taxonomic categories was consisted of Pteridophyte $5.8\%$, Gymnosperm $3.7\%$, Dicotyledon $18.6\%$ and Monocotyledon $71.9\%$. Ratio of Life cycle styles was Annual $1.7\%$ and Perennial $93.3\%$. Ratio of growth habit was appeared to Herb $44.2\%$, Vine $12.4\%$, Shrub $17.8\%$ and Tree $25.6\%$. The distribution region of Corylopsis coreana found to typical type which distribute in N, NE or NW slope. The native Corylopsis coreana of Sinjeonri Sungju-eup in Jellanam-do appeared to have a declining tendency which was caused by influence of tree lager.
Objectives: This study investigated the association between the frequency and pattern of eating alone and the mental health status according to region in Korean adults. Methods: The data of 10,040 Korean adults aged ≥ 19 years from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) 2017 and 2019 were used. Participants were divided into 4 groups based on their frequency of eating alone: none (all meals together), 1, 2, and 3 meals/day alone. The regions were divided into urban and rural areas. Mental health status was assessed by stress recognition, depressive symptoms, and suicidal ideation. Multivariable logistic regressions were conducted to estimate the adjusted odds ratios (AORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) on the association of the frequency and pattern of eating alone with poor mental health after controlling for covariates. Results: Among Korean adults, 74.1% ate more than one meal a day alone. Individuals having 3 meals a day alone tended to be less educated, single, single person households, or living in urban areas (all P < 0.05). In rural areas, those having 3 meals/day alone had higher odds of stress recognition (AOR: 1.55, 95% CI: 1.02-2.35) than those having all meals together. In urban areas, individuals eating alone 3 times/day had higher odds of stress recognition (AOR: 1.60, 95% CI: 1.31-1.96), depressive symptoms (AOR: 1.61, 95% CI: 1.23-2.12), and suicidal ideation (AOR: 2.14, 95% CI: 1.42-3.22) compared to those having all meals together. Urban residents having dinner alone had higher odds of depressive symptoms (AOR: 1.29, 95% CI: 1.05-1.58) and suicidal ideation (AOR: 1.66, 95% CI: 1.19-2.33) than those having dinner with others. Conclusions: Our findings showed that the frequency and patterns of eating alone were differentially associated with increased odds of poor mental health according to region of residence. Nutrition education is needed for those frequently eating alone, particularly those living in urban areas, to highlight the advantages of eating together and to ensure that they have balanced and healthy meals even if they eat alone.
In the East Sea of Korea the vertical structure functions of the temperature field were evaluated and the characteristic thermal zone was classified by the use of the empirical orthogonal function(EOF) method. The East Sea of Korea within the hydrographic lines of 10-107 of the Fisheries Research and Development Agency of Korea(FRDA) can be divided into three thermal regions by the characteristics of the vertical temperature variability. They are the North Korean Cold Current(NKCC) region near the coast which extends parallel to the north-south direction, the Warm-Core(WC) region which dominates almost all the hydrographic stations of the Line 104 of the FRDA and occupies a few stations of the Line-103 and -105 with its axis at the Line 104, and the East Korea Warm Current(EKWC) region which is bisected into the northern and the southern part by the WC region, respectively. Considering the two most important modes, $85.20-98.20\%$ of the total variance of temperature variation are explained in the NKCC region, $85.20-92.90\%$ in the EKWC region, and$85.50-91.70\%$ in the WC region. The first mode has its peak value at the surface with the annual cycle of variation. The spatial pattern of the first mode portrays a coherent vertical variation in the EKWC region and a clear anti-correlation both in the NKCC region and in the WC region where the zero-crossing depths are loom and 200m, respectively. The second mode of the NKCC region is particularly noticeable, haying its peak at loom with coherent vertical variation. To study the time dependency of the vertical structure functions, the extended EOF(EEOF) method was used. The persistence of the first mode is less than 4 months in the study area. The annual variation of the first mode in the NKCC region is different from those in the WC region and in the EKWC region.
This study presents the K-means clustering analysis-based classification of the meteorological patterns affecting the occurrence of high PM10 concentration in the southeastern region of the Korean peninsula for the last five years (2014-2018). Regional differences in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam related to high PM10 episodes, were clarified through the statistical comparison study using synoptic scale meteorological elements using NCEP (National Centers for Environmental Prediction/FNL (Final Operational Global Analysis) re-analysis meteorological data. Meteorological patterns were classified into a total of five categories (C1-C5). The incidence of each cluster was 24.8% (C1), 21.3% (C2), 20.4% (C3), 17.3% (C4), and 16.2% (C5), respectively. The high PM10 concentration in the southeastern region resulted from long and short range transports (C1, C3, C5) from outside of the region, and the emissions (C2, C4) inside the region. In the high PM10 episodes in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions, meteorological characteristics such as different geopotential height and wind speed at 500 hPa in each cluster and the change in the location of high pressure over Korean Peninsula is strongly associated with the dispersion of PM10 around inventories in the region and the tendency of long-range transportation of PM10 emitted from outside of region.
In this study, we tried to define the origin of fine-grained sediments in Southwestern Cheju Island Mud (SWCIM) using principal component analysis. We used relative clay mineral compositions using 138 marine surface sediments, 4 Huanghe sediments and 3 Changjiang river sediments by the semi-quantitative X-ray diffraction analysis. We made bioplot diagram using R program with principal component 1 and component 2 because they might contain more than 90% of all data. Although the distribution pattern of each clay minerals in SWCIM is so intricate, smectite and kaolinite contents are high in the west region, but illite and chlorite contents are rich in the east region. In the biplot, the east region of SWCIM distribute around Changjiang river, whereas west region of SWCIM disperse around Huanghe. Our results might reveal that west region of SWCIM is mainly originated by Huanghe, but east region of SWCIM by Changjiang River.

This study has attempted to analyze the spatial structure of industrial agglomerations with elaborated spatial econometric techniques. First of all, spatial patterns and structures of industrial agglomerations in Korea show a multi-polar spatial pattern of industrial agglomeration, Major industries from industrial agglomerations in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, part of the Chungcheong Area and Dongnam Area. Second, as some industrial agglomerations show an agglomerative pattern beyond a regionally based-administrative jurisdiction, the effects of agglomeration seem to be produced across regionally based-administrative jurisdictions. Finally, it can be considered that industrial agglomerations have generally been produced by spatial divisions of labor in which the functions of conception and execution are separated from each other. According to this results, in designing regional innovation systems, their spatial coverage should draw upon an extended region with a few adjacent provinces, and there is a need to form networked clusters in order to sufficiently capitalize upon the spatial spillovers of agglomerations.
Face detection algorithm of OpenCV recognizes the faces by Haar matching between input image and Haar features which are learned through a set of training images consisting of many front faces. Therefore the face detection method by Haar matching yields a high face detection rate for the front faces but not in the case of the pan and deformed faces. On the assumption that distributional characteristics of color histogram is similar even if deformed or side faces, a face detection method using the histogram pattern matching is proposed in this paper. In the case of the missed detection and false detection caused by Haar matching, the proposed face detection algorithm applies the histogram pattern matching with the correct detected face area of the previous frame so that the face region with the most similar histogram distribution is determined. The experiment for evaluating the face detection performance reveals that the face detection rate was enhanced about 8% than the conventional method.
