  • To develop smart sportswear capable of measuring biometric data, we created a close-fitting pattern using two- and three-dimensional (2D and 3D, respectively) methods. After 3D virtual fitting, the tightness of each pattern was evaluated using image processing of contact points, mesh deviation, and cross-sectional shapes. In contact-point analysis, the 3D pattern showed high rates of contact with the body (84.6% and 93.1% for shirts and pants, respectively). Compared with the 2D pattern, the 3D pattern demonstrated closer contact at the lower chest, upper arm, and thigh regions, where electrocardiography and electromyography were primarily carried out. The overall average gap was also lower in the 3D pattern (5.27 and 4.66 mm in shirts and pants, respectively). In the underbust, waist, thigh circumference, and mid-thigh circumference, the cross-section distance between clothing and body was showed a statistically significant difference and evenly distributed in the 3D pattern, exhibiting more closeness. The tightness and fit of the 3D smart sportswear sensor pattern were successfully evaluated. We believe that this study is critical, as it facilitates the comparison of different patterns through visualization and digitization through 3D virtual fitting.

  • We plan to make the standardization of the pattern identifications for stroke and differentiate them by tongue diagnosis. We make a case report form which has questionnaires for tongue diagnosis in stroke patients. And we collected cases from the multi center network which consists of twelve university hospitals and one local hospital. The cases confirmed by diagnosis of medical specialists and residents are 321 cases. They are divided into Qi Defficiency 30.84%, Dampness& Phlegm 25.55%, Fire & Heat 22.43%, Eum Defficiency 18.69% and Blood Stasis 2.49%. We analyzed the markers which classified into the color of tongue body, the color of fur, the quality of fur, the dryness of tongue, the shape of tongue. To make a stroke pattern identification standard, we must try variable ways.

  • The human homolog of position specific element of mouse Hoxa-7 was studied using transgene. It contains a 1.1 kb human DNA (HCR)- a homolog to the intergenic region between Hoxa-7 and -9, which directs the position specific expression of Hoxa-7-, tk promoter, LacZ (${\beta}$-galactosidase) gene as a reporter, and polyadenylation signal of SV40 large T antigen. It was injected into the mice embryos, and the resulting transgenic embryos were analysed through PCR as well as genomic Southern blotting with placenta DNA. Out of 20 embryos analysed, two were transgenic. Among them, one transgenic embryo expressed transgene when stained with X-gal. The expression pattern was in analogy to that of the mouse Hoxa-7, showing spatially restricted expression pattern, Since the expression of ${\beta}$-galactosidase is regulated by the upstream human HCR sequence, it implies that the HCR is the plausible position specific regulatory element of human.

  • Computational simulation has been performed to design optimally the filtration system for IGCC pilot plant. It was analyzed how the different inflow pattern influences the flow field and the particle behavior in a filter vessel. The particle loading onto the filter surface lowers significantly and decreases dramatically with particle size when the dusty gas flows into the filter vessel with a shroud tube through a tangential inlet setup tangentially on the vessel outer wall. However, the particle loading is considerably high when the dusty gas enters the filter vessel through a normal inlet setup vertically on the vessel top wall, and the decrease of the particle loading with particle size is not steeper compared with the tangential inflow pattern.

  • The analysis of maritime traffic refers to the processes that are used to analyze the environmental characteristics of the target area and, based on this analysis, predict the traffic pattern of the vessels. In recent years, maritime traffic analysis has become significant with increase maritime traffic volume and expansion of VTS coverage area. In addition, maritime traffic analysis is also applicable in the safety assessment of port facilities and the VTS (Vessel Traffic Service). In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the vessels' traffic pattern by using the heat map and the centroid method. This method is efficient for the analysis of the vessel trajectory data where spatial characteristics change with time. In the experiments, the traffic density and centroid by time have were analyzed. Trajectory data collected at Mokpo harbor was adopted. Finally, we reviewed the experimental results to verify the feasibility of the proposed method as a maritime traffic analysis method.

  • A total of 580 patients, who visited and received an orthodontic diagnosis in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Seoul National University Dental Hospital from 2017 to 2019, were investigated in this study. The aim of this study was to evaluate skeletal patterns of pediatric orthodontic patients determined with lateral cephalometric analysis and to analyze the relationship between skeletal pattern and probable associated clinical features. Also, the modality of orthodontic treatment for each skeletal classification was investigated to aid in therapeutic decisions. Patients aged 7 year accounted for the largest age group; 54.2% of patients showed a skeletal class I pattern, 22.2% showed a skeletal class II pattern, and 23.6% showed a skeletal class III pattern. Bi-maxillary retrusion for skeletal class I, retruded mandible with normal positioning of the maxilla for skeletal class II, and retrusion of the maxilla with protrusion of the mandible for skeletal class III were the largest subgroups by skeletal pattern. Brachyfacial type accounted for 55.0% of patients, followed by 31.9% of mesofacial type and 13.1% of dolichofacial type. The prevalence of anterior crossbite in the study was 43.3%, higher than that in previous studies.

  • The lowest power mode (passive-standby mode) was proposed for reducing the power consumption of set-top boxes in a standby state when not receiving content. However, low-power set-top boxes equipped with the lowest power mode have been rarely commercialized because of their low-quality user experience. In the lowest power mode, they deactivates almost all of operational modules and processes, and thus require dozens of seconds for activation latency (that is, the latency for activating all modules of the set-top boxes in a standby state). They are not even updated in a standby state because they deactivate their network interfaces in a standby state. This paper proposes an adaptive standby mode scheduling method for improving the user experience of such boxes. Set-top boxes using the proposed method can analyze the activation pattern and find the frequently used time period (that is, when the set-top boxes are frequently activated). They prepare for their activation during this frequently used time period, thereby reducing the activation latency and enabling their update in a standby state.

  • Gas chromatogram of standardized samples for 10 different kinds of polyphenol components, which contained universally in common vegetables and fruits, and those of polyphenol extracts from various ginseng products and Acanthopanax, were revealed, respectively. The consequent results are as follows; 1. There were practically no obvious difference in the polyphenol pattern among white ginseng with skin of either Korean, American, Canadian products, or Korean red ginseng. There was, however, no coincidence in $t_R$ as indicated by peaks of polyphenol pattern for these ginseng products with those expressed by the standard samples. 2. A great similarity existed in the polyphenol pattern between white ginseng and red ginseng extracts, but the number of peaks for the ginseng extracts was far less than dried ginseng. 3. The polyphenol patterns of Russian and Korean Acanthopanax showed a similarity. However, the polyphenol pattern as represented by Acanthopanax was considerably different from that of ginseng products, especially chlorogenic acid which was not present in the ginseng products was identified in Acanthopanax.

  • The study is designed to develop a educational basic pants patterns for men, and has been analyzed focusing on the university textbooks published since 2000. We also used CAD programs and virtual fitting programs to analyze the fitness of pants. To do this purpose, after choosing 7 Men's Wear textbooks, selected patterns were drawn and measured using PAD system and were compared and analyzed. Also, the appearance evaluation was examined through virtual fitting and then evaluated 21 male and female university students in their 20s. After supplementing the problems of the patterns in the existing textbooks, a pattern was developed and verified the fitness of the developed pattern. The results of comparing the proposed measurement items of each textbook for the pants pattern indicated a significant differences in terms of hip circumference of each pattern, which were between 96~105cm. A comparison of the drafting methods of each pattern showed the drafting methods for the crotch length, the front crotch extension, the back crotch extension were the difference. The results of appearance evaluation were pattern E presented the slimmest fit and pattern D presented the loosest fit. As a result of analysis of pants pattern, a waist circumference 82cm, a hip circumference 98cm, a crotch length 24cm, a pants length 104cm and a ham line width 46cm were most suitable. The development pattern was evaluated as superior to the existing pattern through the appearance evaluation of the virtual fitting.
