The purpose of this study is to suggest more specific method to express art connected to the factor of fashion design by classifying fashion case combined with contemporary art, which is expressed through visual factor of fashion, analyzing exchange phenomenon, trend and change aspect of art and fashion and researching its expression type under the background of art preference phenomenon of contemporary art. From the result of measuring the frequency of contemporary art type, it was found that various types and artists' works were applied to fashion industry. Therefore, the scope of contemporary art, which is used for fashion, is being enlarged and new type is appearing every year continuously. Especially, its frequency was highest in 2008 S/S. In addition, it was found that it was more frequent in S/S season rather than in F/W season. From the result of analyzing expression method of contemporary art inspiration shown in fashion by classifying it into structure aspect, print aspect and 3D decoration aspect, in most cases, the contemporary art was used as a print or pattern for dress or accessory. The print aspect could be divided into geometric abstraction pattern, expressional abstract pattern, trompe-l'oeil pattern, graffiti pattern, picture image pattern and cartoon pattern in detail.

The influences of Art nouveau and Art Deco are as follow: The first, in the side of silhouette, hourglass style and bell shaped skirt influence on mordern fashion chiefly and S-curve style was mollified. Empire style, hobble style in art deco age are all showed diversely, in these styles especially boyish style give an outstanding trasts to modern fashion. The second, the color of art deco, characterized by pastel in art nouveau's color tone, original color and black and gold was reflected on the textile design and showed diversely in the color fo modern fashion. The third, in the field of textile and pattern, flower and plant which was a motive of art nouveau style, organic curve and geometrical pattern and exotic motive was seperately used with motive in the pattern and design of mordern. Textile of goldish and silver tone, metal stuff, lace embroidery, fur, artifical flower, feather etc. showed up on the many parts of clothing. Like this Art Nouveau and Art style not only had a great effect on the costume but also decorations and formative arts.

This study is to understand how fluidity and natural features of Art Nouveau style are reflected in hair style of Art Nouveau age and Modem age and be a help to the trend analysis of hair style in the future. The study is conducted with the research on Art Nouveau expression in hair style and analysis of hair-show, trend presentation, documents related with hair style, TV drama, theses, journals and internet etc through advance research for Art Nouveau and Hair. The result of the analysis on Art Nouveau pattern in hair design is presented as below. First, it shows rounded, winding, flowing and thick-waved style of Art Nouveau pattern in modem long and short hair style. It also shows the beauty of long, bending and flexible lines, waving liveness and thin and slim lines and this is the Art Nouveau pattern that is also applied to other fields. In terms of decoration, it does not use tree vines, leaves and petals that are expressed in paintings of Art Nouveau age. Second, it shows natural up-style by lifting hair up with waved long hair that is one pattern of Art Nouveau and expresses hair style with feathers of birds, tree vines, leaves and petals etc for more decoration in animal pattern to make cute, romantic and elegant style in hair style.

The vigilance threshold of conventional fuzzy ART algorithm decide whether to permit the mismatch between any input pattern and stored pattern. If the vigilance threshold was large, despite of little difference among input and stored patterns, the input pattern may be classified to new category. On the other hand, if the vigilance threshold was small, the similarity between two patterns may be accepted in spite of lots of difference and the input pattern are classified to category of the stored pattern. Therefore, the vigilance threshold for the image recognition must be experientially set for the good result. Moreover, it may occur in the fuzzy ART algorithm that the information of stored patterns is lost in the weight-adjusting process and the rate of pattern recognition is dropped. In this paper, I proposed the enhanced fuzzy ART algorithm that supports the dynamical setting of the vigilance threshold using the generalized intersection operator of fuzzy logic and the weight value being adaptively set in proportional to the current weight change and the previous weight by reflecting the frequency of the selection of winner node. For the performance evaluation of the proposed method, we applied to the recognition of container identifiers from shipping container images. The experiment showed that the proposed method produced fewer clusters than conventional ART2 and fuzzy ART algorithm. and had tile higher recognition rate.

In this paper, we propose a new learning method using a variable learning to improve pattern recognition in the FCSR(Fast Commit Slow Recode) learning method of the Fuzzy ART. Traditional learning methods have used a fixed learning rate in updating weight vector(representative pattern). In the traditional method, the weight vector will be updated with a fixed learning rate regardless of the degree of similarity of the input pattern and the representative pattern in the category. In this case, the updated weight vector is greatly influenced from the input pattern where it is on the boundary of the category. Thus, in noisy environments, this method has a problem in increasing unnecessary categories and reducing pattern recognition capacity. In the proposed method, the lower similarity between the representative pattern and input pattern is, the lower input pattern contributes for updating weight vector. As a result, this results in suppressing the unnecessary category proliferation and improving pattern recognition capacity of the Fuzzy ART in noisy environments.

The application of neural network for fault dection of cutting force in turning was introduced. This monitoring system consist of a RBF predicton model and a ART-1 pattern classifier. RBF prediction model predict a cutting force signal. Prediction error of predictor is used for a input vector of ART-1 pattern classifier. Prediction error could be successfully performed to fault signal monitoring of ART-1 pattern classifier.

The purpose of this study is to analyze check pattern of nail art from 2011 to 2013. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Check pattern of nail art is total 257 patterns, and there are 84 argyle, 29 tartan, 24 harlequin, 24 over, 23 window-pane, 15 stitcheds, 13 hound tooth, 10 block, 10 madras, 8 gingham, 8 gradation, 7 shepherd, and 2 tattersall check patterns. Through this result, in nail art, the relatively simple patterns such as a vertical pattern, a horizontal pattern, and cross or overlap diagonal line are used more than elaborate and complex check patterns of a fibrous tissue from a weaving process. 2) In check pattern of nail art, N-affiliated color and R-affiliated color are remarkably well-used, because of the effects of argyle, tartan, window-pane, harlequin, stitched, over, and hound tooth check patterns used the most during the past three years. Especially, most tartan, harlequin, over, and hound tooth check patterns use their own special colors such as R-affiliated colors and N-affiliated colors as it is, and argyle, window-pane, stitched, and over check patterns use well by arranging N-affiliated colors and R-affiliated colors. 3) The most used expressive technique is hand painting to express check pattern in nail art, because new products related to UV gel are well launched. These materials can draw fine line that is hard to express by existing polish easily and simply, and not only have set quickly hard, so procedure time is very short, so it is compatible to draw check pattern personally, but also it is well covered, so check pattern is more clearly expressed.

In this paper, we propose a new training algorithm for improving pattern classification performance of ART neural network. The proposed train algorithm restricts unnecessary cluster generation and transition, applies the location extraction algorithm, and operates the reset system based on the agreement between the present learning pattern and the initial pattern. As a result, repetitive input of a pattern does not generate a new cluster and mis-recognition rate decreases.

This paper proposed Ellipsoid Fuzzy-ART (Fuzzy-Adaptive Resonance Theory) for recognition performance improvement to use Mahalanobis distance. The suggested method uses Mahalanobis distance to decide pattern boundary region at vector space. In order to confirm the validity of proposed method, comparison of the performance has made between existing method and the proposed method through simulation.

With the basis of objective truth by the subjective sensibility and the Rock art's history and the molding the Rock arts image motive, the conclusion like this; The first, Rock art express the imagination variety as symbols of abundance, fecundity, stable lift's present mourning and absolute respect and the spirit. The second, the new motives are developed by making formative images with deeply understanding essential side in the Rock arts. With this, the pattern is repeated with making motive's repeat units and the new pattern is developed by 45-angle iteration. These cultural products were used to produce necktie, scarf, and clothing making commonly efficient use in actual life- with 3D simulation. Through developing Rock art pattern, it is great the possibility of development for expressing Korea images with making an excavation. A competitive design as to the international period can be developed with applying to the variety department-cultural products development.
