제상모드에 대한 실차 내부 환기유동의 정량적 가시화 연구 (Quantitative Visualization of Ventilation Flow for Defrost Mode in a Real Passenger Car)

  • Thermal comfort inside a passenger car has been receiving large attention in automobile industries. Especially, the performance of windshield defroster is important in the design of a car to ensure passenger comport and safety. Thereby, better understanding on the ventilation flow along the vehicle windshield is essential to evaluate the performance of windshield defroster. However, most previous studies dealt with the defrost flow using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) calculations or scale-down model experiments. In this study, a real commercial automobile was used to investigate the flow discharged from the vehicle defroster and the ventilation flow along the windshield using a PIV velocity field measurement technique. The experimental data would be useful to understand the flow characteristics in detail and also can be used to validate numerical predictions.

고속철도 방진침목 개발 (Development of Sleeper for High Speed Railway)

  • In this paper, the process of development of resilient sleepers, which improves the train safety, passenger comport and reduces the noise and vibration, is discussed. To determine the required material properties of elastic pad, static and dynamic simulations are performed and is applied in manufacturing. From the experiment results, it is investigated that the displacement is less for sleeper with elastic pad than that in ordinary PC form. The rate of displacement is also shown In be less for the sleeper with elastic pad. These results indicate that the elastic pad can reduce possibility of rail-corrugations and thus resulting in the reduction of maintenance costs.

불규칙 파랑 중 선체 동요 평가에 관한 연구 (A study on evaluation of ship motion in irregular waves)

  • In this paper, the results of evaluating the passenger comfort due to the standard deviation of acceleration in vertical and lateral direction regarding the ship response in irregular wave by ordinary strip method in regular wave and energy spectrum using linear superposition theory in order to evaluate the motion of experimental ship are as follows. According to the results of ship response, it was possible to find that, in order to reduce the motion of ship, a ship operating in bow sea was more stable than in quartering sea. In the results of analyzing the standard deviation of acceleration in vertical direction according to each component wave pattern, when there was a wave length of 56m and an average wave period of 6 sec, most of cases showed the peak value. And among them, the standard deviation was 0.35 which was the highest in head sea. And in case of lateral direction, the maximum value was shown in a wave length of 100m and an average wave period of 8 sec. And it was 0.16 in beam sea and ${\chi}=150^{\circ}$. In the evaluation of passenger comfort due to standard acceleration in vertical and lateral direction, it was 80% in head and bow sea. On the other hand, it was shown to be 15% in follow sea. Accordingly, when the expected wave height in a sea area where a training ship was intended to operate was known, it was possible to predict the routing of ship. And altering her course could reduce the passenger comfort by approximately 50%.

  • In this paper, the process of development of resilient sleepers, which improves the train safety, passenger comport and reduces the noise and vibration, is presented. Lateral resistance and durability characteristics of the resilient sleepers are experimentally investigated. From the experiment results, it is investigated that the displacement is less for sleeper with elastic pad than that in ordinary PC form. However, the lateral resistance is investigated little less -for sleeper with elastic pad than ordinary PC form. These results indicate that the elastic pad can reduce possibility of rail-corrugations and thus resulting in the reduction of maintenance costs.

2호선 혼잡구간 OD수요 분리유도를 통한 혼잡도 개선 방안 (교통카드 빅데이터 분석을 중심으로) (Load Factor Decrease In The Seoul Metro Circle Line through Analyzing Passenger OD Demand)

  • 본 연구는 교통카드자료를 이용하여 승객 OD를 분석하고 서울시 도시철도 최대 혼잡구간인 2호선 외선구간(사당~삼성)의 혼잡도 개선을 위한 통행 수요관리 정책을 제시하였다. 삼성역 이전 목적지 승객과 삼성역 이후 목적지를 가진 승객의 수요를 분리 유도하기 위한 기존 순환선과 삼성역까지 운행하는 단절운행 열차를 혼합으로 운행하는 대안을 제시하였다. 분석결과 순환선 탑승비율이 70%이며 순환선과 삼성행 단절 열차 투입빈도가 1:3일때 최고 11.3%의 혼잡도 개선효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 2호선 혼잡구간을 통과하는 수요를 분리하는 수요관리 대안은 최소의 비용으로 혼잡도를 개선함과 동시에 승객의 쾌적성 개선을 가져올 것으로 기대된다.
