Information integration of heterogeneous digital parts libraries or electronic pars catalogs is one of issues in B2B procurements. We need to provide an integrated view for multiple information sources. Utilization of ontologies as the metadata descriptions of the information sources can provide an integrated view. However, in order to integrate independently developed ontologies, the mismatches among them should be resolved. In this paper, we propose an ontology of meta-concepts, i.e. meta-ontology. The meta-concepts play the role of vocabulary to describe the parts library ontologies and provide well-established ontological semantics that helps the ontology modelers to consistently identify parts library concepts and systematically structure them. Consequently, the meta-ontology reduces the differences in the way the parts knowledge is interpreted and ensures the mismatches are confined to manageable mis matches, so that a software program can merge automatically. Modeling ontologies of mold and die parts libraries for B2B e-commerce is taken as an example to show how to use the meta-ontology. We also discuss how a parts library mediation system can automatically merge the well-structured parts library ontologies.

This Study developed library of parts, applied with 3-dimension character which has width, length and height and a reference plane, for the system development of BIM design on housing unit modular. The current BIM software has not the concept of a reference plane or work tolerance in modular, so the development of parts library applied to unit modular has not moved forward. So, we developed, in this study, parts library applied to windows, built-in-furniture, kitchen systems and knock down bathrooms, with a reference plane and work tolerance based on single roon prototype on urban-life-housings. BIM library can utilize changed size and work tolerance of parts, and fabricating reference plane will be created automatically when an engineer puts work tolerance in the BIM library with supplement of some category related to work reference. Through this BIM library development, we consider the part module can be used for housing complex planning, and architectural designers will be able to utilize the BIM library for housing complex design.

As a new practical model of Korean Library statistics, It suggests 6 parts, fifty-four items for 4 types of libraries. In comparison with last version, 'library use and users', 'electronic services' parts are increased which are occupied as more than hair of the whole statistical items. Budget parts are increased also. The new model which is developed based on the international standards like ISO2789 and NISO/ANSI Z39.7 is advised by professionals in the fields.

Library statistics is used for internal decisions to know and assess library operations or for external justifications to show of how libraries meet users' needs and contribute to the organization. It is included same frameworks with social indicators and cultural indicators in national level. In this basis, national library statistics, they are ANSI/NISO Z39.7, Canada's Core library statistics, LIST of united Kingdom, are examined and Delphi method is used for new scheme of korean library statistics. As the results, it is suggested that new korean framework of library statistics is composed of 7 parts with 31 items. There are 6 parts with 21 items of social indicators or cultural indicators related to library items as well.

In this era of information, the public library takes a important role in the local community. In several years, public libraries have been proliferated in our society. However, there have not been specific planning standards of space size for construction of public library. The situation has lead the local governments to the need of consulting for the construction and management of library in search of appropriate guideline. The research paper focuses on the result of consulting support project for construction and management of public library. It examines total 11 libraries which were consulted from 2009 to 2011. It examines the configurational differences between the first scheme from the local government and the final scheme after the consulting, and the percentages of gross areas of each parts of library, reference and reading area, office area, education and cultural area, and public common use area. The analysis concludes that reference and reading area increased by 6.4% from 34.1% to 40.5%, and public common use area reduced by 6.1% from 30.2% to 24.1%, which represents a certain tendency of the configuration ratio of the each parts. Thus, the paper could be a starting point of establishing planning standard of space size for public library.

ISO 13584 Parts Library (PLIB) standard is making its way into e-business as a norm for classifying products and their characteristics. PLIB is a multi-parts standard, and the Part 42: Methodology for structuring Parts families Provides the information model and design Principles for the data dictionary of parts library or e-catalog. If e-catalog systems are built using a data dictionary that is constructed based on PLIB dictionary data model, many different e-catalog systems can be easily integrated and interoperated. This paper studies the roles and requirements of the data dictionary in e-catalog, and applies the data model and design principles of PLIB Part 42 to construct a data dictionary from the viewpoint of ontology Based on the analysis results, we propose a data dictionary of die and mold parts, and implementat the B2B e-catalog system.

Using standard components of a press die is recognized as a way for a cost reduction and a short lead time. It also provides a way for a quick maintenance of a die under repair. It is expected to contribute to integration of CAD/CAM system for manufacturing dies in the future. This paper presents a 3D CAD library which is constructed using the standard components and is used for designing a press die. This 3D CAD library is generated by a database system made of Microsoft Access for standard components and by CATIA V5 R10 API for geometric features. The library is implemented using Visual Basic 6.0 utility of CATIA API function in the Windows NT environment. It creates a 3D model of the standard components of press die easily when a die designer inputs numerical values of geometric features and the BOM of the completely assembled parts. It also generates automatically the assembly drawing of die set by using variables for standard values of die parts. Therefore users can save the cost of time to design the press die components, and even a beginner can use this program with ease. The test results of the 3D CAD library for designing shearing and bending dies verify its usefulness and feasibility.

This study was conducted to assess the level of satisfaction of undergraduates with the Library and Information Science (LIS) course and some of the factors that influence their choice of the programme. The population of the study was all the 400 level undergraduates in the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Education, University of Port Harcourt. A structured questionnaire, made up of three parts, was utilized for data collection. The first part involved the level of satisfaction of the respondents with the LIS programme while the second and third parts involved the influence of parents and peers on the respondents' choice of LIS programme, respectively. Out of the 21 copies of the questionnaire distributed, 20 were retrieved indicating a 95.2% response rate with 75% (15) male and 25% (5) female. Data were analyzed using percentages and simple regression analysis. Results indicated that the respondents were highly satisfied with the choice of LIS programme and would recommend the programme to others. Parental influence on the respondents' choice of LIS programme was minimal accounting for 7.8% of the changes in the choice of the programme while peer influence on the respondents' choice of the programme was substantial accounting for 78.0% of the changes in the choice of the programme. The fact that the respondents were satisfied with their choice of career in LIS is a strong indication that they would be committed to providing excellent service in librarianship needed to cater for the mutated information requirements of the society.

The library as nonprofit organization is required to have micro-planning for the organization itself and macro-planning for the relationship of the organization and its environment. Both the micro and macro planning are rational and effective means to library objectives. The library planning must be based on clearly formulated objectives that will encourage all parts of the organization to work toward the same goal and mission. The planning to library objectives should make programming. which should make processing. The mission here should precede goal. which should precede objectives and objectives should precede activities in planning. There is an integral relationship among them. Just as the objectives of the library may be thought of in a hierarchy such as the above. so the library planning must be based on such a hierarchy from strategic or long range planning to administrative planning, from administrative planning to operational planning or short range ones.

This study analyses the relationship between learning style and library skills. The components of learning style and library skills were extracted through literature review. The relationship between learning style and library skills was verified by using T-test. The results indicate that there was Sub-variables of library skills such as 'decimal classification', 'using reference sources', and 'recognizing the parts of a book' had a significant relationship with global variables of learning style. Thus, when the user education for each type of learning style will be considered.
