  • Purpose: This descriptive study aimed to explore the performance, nurses' perception, and influencing contexts of intentional rounding (IR), and to identify the factors influencing the performance of IR. Methods: 498 questionnaire responses were collected from clinical nurses with more than six months of work experiences in general wards performing IR in a general hospital. Results: The mean scores of the performance, nurses' perception, and influencing contexts of IR were 3.81(±0.68), 3.46(±0.42), and 3.79(±0.51) out of 5.00, respectively. There were significant differences in performance (F=20.51, p<.001) and nurses' perception (F=4.96, p=.001) based on the work department. There were significant differences in the influencing contexts based on age (F=6.02, p=.003) and the length of clinical experience in the ward (F=3.36, p=.010). Performance and nurses' perception(r=.42, p<.001), performance and influencing contexts (r=.46, p<.001), and nurses' perception and influencing contexts (r=.58, p<.001) showed a statistically positive correlation. Work unit (F=10.45, p<.001), nurses' perception of the benefits to patients (F=-2.46, p=.014) and to nurses (F=4.34, p<.001), and influencing contexts at the individual (F=7.77, p<.001) and department levels (F=2.99, p=.003) were found to be significant factors on the performance of IR. Conclusion: It is necessary to support the education programs and active participation of nurses in their role as leaders to raise their awareness regarding the benefits of IR. Furthermore, there is a need to adapt the IR protocol according to the unique characteristics of each unit and evaluate the effectiveness.

  • As the e-marketplace becomes the core of management activities, researches on motivation, transaction type, strategy, satisfaction, risk management, performance evaluation, etc. have been actively studied, but the factors influencing actual utilization have not been fully. Especially, the factors that affect the intention of the users are limited without consideration of internal environment, external environment, e-marketplace characteristics such as operating rules, characteristics of the company to be used. In order to derive the determinants of B2B e-marketplace use, this study was conducted to examine the relationship between internal environment, external environment, e-marketplace characteristics as independent variables, intention of use as dependent variable, participation qualification, The results were as follows. First, the previous study limited the determinants of intention to use to either internal or external, but this study presented an integrated model that considers both factors. Second, the characteristics of companies participating in e-marketplace were identified by using participation qualification and activity scope as control variables.

  • Purpose: This study examined what characteristics and variables predict participation in support groups for women with breast cancer. Method: 282 women with breast cancer from 4 hospitals located in Busan were included in the study. Data was measured on each participant from September 2006 to February 2007. Data was collected using structured researcher-administered sheets and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. Results: The clients reported medium levels of illness perception, anxiety and depression, stress with coping, social support and self-efficacy. 48.9% of women with breast cancer participated in support groups. Significant influencing factors on the participation in support groups were 'operation time(+)', 'illness perception(+)', 'social support(-)', and 'self-efficacy(+)' Those variables explained 73.4%. • Purpose: We aimed to identify factors influencing physical activity in adolescents with complex congenital heart disease. Methods: We recruited 92 adolescents with complex congenital heart disease from a tertiary medical center in Seoul, measured their levels of physical activity, and identified factors that influenced their physical activity levels using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire, the New York Heart Association classification, congenital heart disease complexity, the Self-Efficacy Scale, and the Parental Bonding Instrument scale. Stepwise multiple linear regression was used to determine factors influencing physical activity. Results: Total physical activity was higher in males than in females (t=4.46, p<.001). Adolescents who participated in school physical education classes engaged in more physical activity than those who did not (t=6.77, p<.001). Higher self-efficacy (${\beta}=.41$, p<.001), male gender (${\beta}=.37$, p<.001) and participation in school physical education classes (${\beta}=.19$, p=.042) were associated with a higher likelihood of engagement in physical activity. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop nursing interventions that enhance self-efficacy in order to promote physical activity in adolescents with complex congenital heart disease. Physical activity should also be promoted in an individualized manner, taking into account gender, disease severity, and parental attitude.

  • Purpose: This study was aimed at identifying the levels of parenting stress among mothers of children with cerebral palsy and factors influencing parenting stress. Method: The research design was cross-sectional survey. Data were collected from 122 mothers of hospitalized children (under 15 years of age) with cerebral palsy at the Y medical center using the questionnaires. The data were analyzed using one way analysis of variance with Scheffe test for post-hoc analysis or t-test, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The mean score of parenting stress was 2.52 (SD=0.79; range: 1~4). The father's participation, mother's parenting hours, self-esteem and social support were significant predictors of parenting stress, significantly accounting for the 33.3% variance (F=16.118, p<.001). Conclusion: It is essential for health professionals to consider the aforementioned four factors when developing interventions to reduce parenting stress for mothers of children with cerebral palsy.

  • This study aims to identify the factors influencing residents' satisfaction for the urban regeneration projects in South Korea. Data were collected from 250 people with self-administrated questionnaires. A factor analysis identified three factors which are positive economic impacts, negative social impact, and positive environment impact. The positive economic impact has the highest variance explained. Results showed that high income and students and unemployed are less like to be satisfied with their community life. And whereas negative social impacts are less likely to have community satisfaction, positive economic impacts are more likely to have community satisfaction. This study suggested that community leaders and policy makers should consider perceived impacts and income when implementing development projects.
