Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing on patients' participation in their treatment decision making, and influences of patients' experience on their health status. Methods: Data from the 2015 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were used for the analysis. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the factors influencing on patients' participation in their treatment decision making. The influences of patients' experience on their health status were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Of the 4,497 respondents, 3,698 (82.2%) respondents mostly participated in their treatment decision making. Those who experienced enough visit duration, physicians' explanation easy enough to understand, or more opportunities to ask were more likely to participate in their treatment decision making. After controlling for their sociodemographic factors and health status, those who had better experience during the outpatient visits were more likely to have better self-rated health or quality of life. Conclusion: To improve patients' health outcomes and satisfaction of health care uses, it is necessary to provide better experiences and expand the opportunities for participation in treatment decision making during their hospital visits.
This study aimed to examine the mediating effects of career decision-making self-efficacy in the relation between participation behavior and career preparation behavior in adolescents. Using the data of 1,077 adolescents residing in J region, this study used the path analysis to see the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy. According to the results, participation behavior and career decision-making self-efficacy had direct effects on career preparation behavior. And mediated by career decision-making self-efficacy, participation behavior had indirect effect on career preparation behavior. This study examined the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy of adolescents, which can be the significance of this study in terms of overcoming the limit of presenting direct effects of factors on career preparation behavior. On the basis of the results, convergency suggestions to increase the participation behavior, career decision-making self-efficacy and career preparation behavior of adolescents were discussed.
Citizen's involvement in forest decision-making is recently acknowledged as a potential solution to forest management conflicts. Through participation, affected citizens become a part of the decision-making process. This paper focuses on the use of collaborative and participatory model(CPM) for urban forest management. The model, which is exemplified by the Daejisan case in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, utilizes the collaborative decision-making structure and the gradual level of resident participation in urban forest management. As a result, the committee in the model contributed to building partnerships among different interest groups and then to constructing environmentally compatible urban park. Furthermore, an improvement in the levels of resident participation was manifested in the process. These characteristics of CPM can encourage participation and cooperation among stakeholders and ultimately contribute to realizing sustainable urban forest management.
The purpose of this study is to examine how the causal relationships between independent variables, marital communication decision making participation and family life satisfaction of elderly in couple household. The survey was conducted from May 26 to July 21, 2003. Total 394(male: 186, female: 208) samples were used for the analysis. Using SPSS/PC WIN program, data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, Cronbach'a, Pearson's correlation, t-test, and multiple regression. The major findings were as follows: 1) The findings showed that there were high level of the communication between the elderly males and females. In the decision making participation the finding showed that both elderly males and females generally made joint decisions with no gender differences. The elderly males and females reported overall family life satisfaction; and the elderly males were more likely satisfied with their family lives than the elderly females. 2) The path analysis on family life satisfaction presented that several variables had direct/indirect effects on family life satisfaction through communication and decision making participation. Among the moderate variables, communication agreement and communication openness had significant effects on family life satisfaction. Specifically, the elderly men were more likely satisfied when they participated in decision making on leisure: the elderly women were more likely satisfied when they participated in decision making on family life.

This dissertation are studying the conceptual structure of decision making situation in libraries, by analyzing the library function, decision makings of library and then seeking economic and efficient alternative decision making by programming the· decision making situations, and finally, introducing how to apply management information system or decision making support system. For this purpose, in order to analyzing necessary factors for the decision making system, the questionnaire used Lickert method were distributed to 400 librarians of 36 universities in Seoul by means of mail. 193 librarians, $48\%$ of the questionnaire, are returned are studied by using 'SYSTAT' statistical software to figure out the factors of the decision making system. This dissertation was put six hypotheses and tested with the returned questionnaire. The following five result can be asserted. First, to the higher degree of the librarians' participation in the important library decision makings, the quality of formal library services are improved regardless of seniority of the work. Secondly, the t-test results show that all of t-test scores of seniority of the work, educational background, and responsibilities of the work are exceeding significant level and perception of decision making was proved to be different depending on seniority of the work, educational background, and responsibilities of the work in libraries. Thirdly, as the results of factor af factor analysis, the encouragement on participation in the library academic activities, the extent to get useful information about performances of library and the improvements of library works were grouped by similar posibilities of distribution and therfore the academic activities, the collection of information and the improvement of library performances is proved to be interrelational each other. Fourthly, the fifth hypothesis of the close relationship between the decision making situation and types of advisor by it was more or less interrelational, but their relationship was not seen some significancies. Lastly, as the dynamic organization of library management forming a special commitee or a project team with librarian can improve the extent and quality of the librarian's participation in the decision making of library works, and thus library will become to performance more rational and effective library management.
This study examined the relationship between perceived participation in decision making and turnover intention among early childhood teachers and tested whether teachers' organizational commitment was a mediating factor. The subjects were 193 early childhood teachers working in day care centers in the Incheon and Gyeonggi-do areas. All valuables were measured by teacher questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using Manova and Path analysis. The main results of this study were as follows. Firstly, there was a significant difference in perceived participation in decision making, organizational commitment and turnover intention among teachers according to only the type of day care center. Secondly, teachers' participation in decision making was positively related to organizational commitment while both of them were negatively related to turnover intention. Finally, teachers' organizational commitment fully mediated the relationship of participation in decision making to turnover intention. These findings could provide supporting evidence for measures to improve a working environment for early childhood teachers.

This study was designed to examine the effect of joint participation in decision-making on the home management satisfaction of new-generation married women, which will issue basic data for improving the quality of new-generation home life. The sample was composed of 371 married women under 39years old, selected by age and the local distribution. Major findings are as follows. 1) New-generation married women’s joint participation in decision-making showed a significant difference by degree of communication, perception of the adequacy of resources, perception of the level of living. Home management satisfaction shoed a significant difference by state of employment, existence of children, sex role attitudes, degree of communication, perception of the adequacy of resources, perception of the level of living. 2) The more a couple participated in decision-making about eating and children, the higher level a new-generation married women showed in home management satisfaction. 3) The main variables predicating new-generation married women’s home management satisfaction was perception of the adequacy of resources, perception of the level of living, gender role attitudes, existence of children, joint participation in decision-making about eating and children. They accounted for 36% of the variance.
The purpose of this study is to present basic data of clarifying the differences between employed and unemployed wives' family and comparing low classes with other classes for the more reasonable and successful home administration through investigating and analyzing decision-making patterns of the families of working women in the low income group. The questionnaires were distributed in September 1984 to 300 working women in the city of Seoul and Sung-Nam. Statistical methods such as frequency, percentage and the mean value were used for grasping general characteristics of the families and F-test, Pearson's Correlations were used for investigating the interrelation of the related variables. The results of this study were as follows; 1) Wife's participation indecision-making was increased while joint decision-making was decreased compared with those of unemployed wives' family and other classes. 2) Both of the degree of conjugal participation in decision-making and joint decision-making were influenced by wife's educational level, disparity in educations of couple, husbands' occupation, family income, wife's age. But duration of marriage affected only the degree of joint decision-making. Especially family income and husbands; occupations turned to be important variables in low income families. 3) In case of wife's satisfaction with her occupation, joint decision-making was well achieved or not according to certain decision items. Though wife and husband satisfied with their marriage, joint decision-making was not well performed in working wives' family with low income.

In this study, the case of brand IMC communication of LG Hausys' total interior solution brand Z:IN was dealt with. The target consumer of the Z:IN brand is a general end consumer and also shows the character of industrial goods. Accordingly, there should be a unique aspect that brand management and communication methods must be made from more angles. For many companies which are active in the industry, this case study should be significant. This case study was researched in terms of consumer's purchase decision-making process and consumer participation and experience. Brand Zi:in developed a brand communication strategy following the flow of the consumer purchasing decision process. And the brand actively induces consumer experience and participation so that consumers can communicate more closely with the brand. Brand communication from the perspective of consumer purchasing decision-making and consumer experience and participation is a crystal that fully considers LG Hausys' products, markets, and competitors, and will be an effective strategy to continue to preoccupy the market not only in the present but in the future.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between public health nurse's decentralization, participation of decision-making and organizational commitment and to provide basic data for the improvement of public health nurse's organizational effectiveness. Data were collected from Aug. 1 to Aug. 30, 1998 (collection rate-96%) through questionnaires by 163 public health nurses working in Taejon and Chungnam. The instruments were used Van de Ven and Ferry's Job Authority scale, Hage and Aiken's Hierarchy of Authority scale. Participation of Decision-making scale. and Mowday's Organizational Commitment Questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS PC+. The results were as follows 1. There were significant differences of age(P<.05), career, spending time for major study, and experience who called expert(P<.01) to decentralization. 2. There were significant differences of career (P<.05), educational level, and spending time for major study(P<'OOl) to participation of decision-making. 3.
