  • Recently, load/unload(L/UL) process is applied to a computer information storage device due to its advantages such as lower power consumption, larger data zone, simpler fabrication of disk for no bumped parking zone, and rarer contact between the slider and media. An analysis of the transient motion for the slider is very important to design an air bearing surface (ABS) of the slider to secure the stable performance of the system. During the L/UL process, however, there are several issues occurred such as contact or collision between slider and media. Sometimes this will cause the system failure. In this study, the dynamics of the slider during the loading process are investigated through a numerical simulation using FEM analysis and experiment.

교통량 배정을 고려한 지구단위설계에 관한 연구 (A sutdy on the District Unit Design by Traffic Assignment)

  • 본 연구에서는 지구단위 설계시 교통부문에서 다양한 도시설계 및 교통정책의 적용에 따른 교통량 패턴 효과를 분석해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 가상네트워크(Toy Network)를 설정하고 토지이용패턴과 교통정책을 접목한 19개의 시나리오를 가정한 후 교통수요 예측 프로그램인 EMME3를 이용하여 교통량 배정량을 산정하고 비교하였다. 그 결과 총 교통량이 가장 많이 감소한 정책은 지구의 중간부를 개발하면서 동시에 내부의 2차로 도로는 차량 통행을 금지시키고 보행자 천국을 만드는 것이었다. 총 통행량이 가장 많이 발생된 정책은 균등개발을 하며 지구의 중간부에 공동 주차장을 만드는 것이었으며 내부 연도 주민에게 가장 불리한 정책은 지구 중심의 한 개 존만을 개발하는 것임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Ramp profile and angular velocity of the swing arm actuator are very important parameters for the design of L/UL system to avoid collision between slider and disk.

능동 안전장치의 한국 운전자 주행 평가 (Active Safety Features Evaluation with Korean Drivers)

  • A study assessing driver acceptance level for various active safety systems against Korean drivers has been conducted. A 2013 Cadillac ATS model vehicle was tested along southern outskirt of Seoul including local roadway and interurban highway. Active safety systems included were FCA(Forward Collision Alert), LDW(Lane Departure Warning), SBZA(Side Blind Zone Alert), FRPA(Front/Rear Park Assist), RCTA(Rear Cross Traffic Alert), ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control), and AEB(Autonomous Emergency Braking). Participants experienced the FRPA, RCTA and AEB features in a controlled parking lot with a dummy vehicle and traffic cones as target obstacles. Remaining features have been tested on the accumulated stretched of 106 km long urban and interurban roadway. Series of questionnaires corresponding to each active safety systems have been conducted. Tentative results revealed that RCTA and SBZA systems received favourable ratings compared to the other ones.

대도시 도심지역의 거주환경과 거주요인에 관한 연구 -광주광역시 도심지역의 아파트 거주자를 중심으로- (A Study on Residential Environment and Factor of Downtown Area in Big Cities - Apartment house residents in Gwangju City -)

  • This study examines and analyzes residential environment and factors with partial region of Chungjang-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju based on land register and questionnaire. Consequently, most of residents are in their forties or over and working at downtown or place near it. It is found that rate of their own house is high and they live in the current house over 10 years. Residential factors at downtown area include its convenience, distance to workplace, convenient transportation and easy use of cultural and commercial facilities, but their consciousness of residence shows a low satisfaction with children education, air pollution, noise, parking facilities, green zone for making community, resting place, sunshine, view and privacy.

도심상업지역의 노상 하역공간 최적배치계획에 대한 연구 (A study on location planning of the on-street loading/unloading bays in the central business district)

  • 도시내부에서 발생하는 화물자동차의 이동에 따라 도심상업지역에서는 노상 하역공간(loading zone)이 반드시 필요하다. 그렇지만, 현재 대도시의 도심상업지역의 경우는 하역공간의 설치미비로 인하여 화물자동차들은 마땅한 조업공간이 없어 노상에서 불법주정차 행위를 하고 있는 실정이다. 이로 인하여 도심교통의 장애를 야기하는 하나의 원이 되었으며, 그로 인한 혼잡은 심각한 수준에 도달해 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 다소나마 해결할 수 있도록 노상하역공간의 정비방안을 살펴보고, 부산의 도심상업지역인 서면지역 일대를 대상으로 하여 노상하역주차 특성을 면밀히 고찰함으로써 그 적용가능성도 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 노상 하역공간의 정비는 규모 즉, 조업을 행할 수 있는 주 정차 베이(bay)의 개수 추계와 함께 이들의 적절한 배치장소를 모색하는 것이다. 규모적 측면에서의 주 정차 베이 수는 조업차량의 도착율 및 서비스율에 기초한 대기행렬의 적용을 통하여 산출 할 수 있었으며, 배치장소의 결정은 화물운반에 대한 저항함수를 정식화함으로써 최소 저항이 되는 위치를 산정할 수 있었다.

어린이공원 주변공간의 환경계획요인에 관한 연구 - 전문가 의식조사를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Environmental Design Factors of Children's Park Access Area - A Survey Focusing on the Perceptions of Professional Groups -)

  • This study seeks to identify elements of spatial planning for areas surrounding children's parks in order to improve child safety. It will identify different aspects of child safety and extract elements of safety planning for the areas surrounding children's parks from a literature review of both domestic and international research. The study classifies the space between one's residence and the children's park as either a "means of access", such as pedestrian walkways and streets, or a "boundary", which consists of the entrance, exit, and fences; then, the derived safety planning elements were categorized in accordance with this classification. In order to ensure the validity of the planning elements, an expert survey was conducted of environment planners who specialize in the palnning and designing of residential area as well as government employees who are in direct charge of managing children's parks. The survey findings were as follow. First, the pedestrian walkway(means of access) near the park is the most crucial factor in regards to the safety of children, followed by the entrance and exit(boundary), fency(boundary), and streets (means of access), in descending order of importance. Thus, improving the safety of the pedestrian walkway should be considered first and foremost, and it should precede improving the surrounding streets. Second, an investigation of the need for safety devices near the children's park showed that securing visibility, through the installation of an illegal parking prevention device, is imperative. Illegal parking near children's parks poses a grave risk to pedestrian safety and demands immediate action. Furthermore, a section of streets within 300m of the park entrance should be designated as a children protection zone, in addition to the designation of school zones near elementary schools.

도로 주행평가를 통한 능동 안전장치 연구 (A Study on the Active Safety Features Assessment through Test Drive)

  • This study examined the drivers' acceptance level of various active safety features with Korean drivers on Seoul urban and city roads. The test vehicle, 2013 Cadillac ATS, was equipped with FCA(Forward Collision Alert), LDW(Lane Departure Warning), SBZA(Side Blind Zone Alert), FRPA(Front/Rear Park Assist), RCTA(Rear Cross Traffic Alert), ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control), and AEB(Autonomous Emergency Braking). Participants had chances to run the tests on those systems in the parking lot accompanied by the 106km long stretch of predetermined route including local road and interurban highway in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do under normal traffic flowing environment. After the test, participants completed a series of questionnaires about the features they experienced. The results revealed that RCTA and SBZA systems received more favourable ratings compared to the other features in avoiding crashes. The respondents preferred sound alerts to haptic ones even though haptic warning methods were better in providing directional information.

대구시 도시풍도에 대한 연구 (A Study on the City Wind Trail in Daegu)

  • The population of Daegu, the third biggest city in Korea, is two point six million. Daegu is known as a basin or a city where it is not only too hot in summer but also too cold in winter. Recently with redevelopment apartment house boom, a 40-story or more apartment complexes are under construction near Shin-cheon and Dondaegu-ro, the south-north axis of Daegu. It is necessary to raise several points about blocking a road of the wind by high-rise apartment buildings and apartment complexes. As a kind of the green policy, Daegu enlarge the distance between apartment building by reconstructing low-rise apartment into high-rise and impose a duty of a green space on the ground by making a parking zone into an underground. Through this process, apartment complexes changed from a '一'shape to a '口'shape. It increases heat island phenomenon of a city by blocking a road of the wind that comes from Shin-cheon and Dondaegu-ro. To circulate the polluted air of Daegu basin, we need local wind. There are four effective measures. 1) Throw three greens into one in the center of the road at the north side in the same way of the south side of Dongdaegu-ro, 2) reflect the information of roads of the wind including heights, spaces and directions of buildings, 3) steer clear of a high-rise buildings and development apartment house constructions, and 4)select a city for benchmarking to be the environmental capital.
