Dynamics Analysis of Concrete Bridges at Expansion Joints Considering Pounding (신축이음부에서 충돌을 고려한 콘크리트 교량의 동적해석)

  • Most bridges have expansion joints to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction without inducing large forces in the bridges. To evaluate the effects of earthquake-induced at expansion joints of concrete bridges, the first part of this paper deals with a collinear impact between concrete segments, which have the same cross section but different lengths. Especially, impact force, momentum, strain energy and kinetic energy are formulated in mathematically. These results are then used in the second part of this paper to simulate a realistic yet simple analysis of seismic pounding in concrete bridges. Analysis of seismic pounding in idealized concrete bridges is carried out by using a simple lumped-mass model and rationally determined values of the coefficient of restitution and the duration of impact.

  • Recently, there are a lot of papers in order to replace the electrolytic capacitor into the film capacitor in output of PFC(Power Factor Correction). However, the film capacitor, which has capacitance of low values, causes a large ripple voltage in output of PFC. The LED drivers are connected series in the output of PFC and affected by the magnitude of voltage ripple. In this paper, we have compared the fixed frequency method with the variable frequency for the constant-current control and propose the control method to avoid the sub-harmonic oscillation in the variable input voltage. An 80W PFC, using film capacitors instead of electrolytic capacitors, and LED driver has been built and compared the fixed frequency control method with the variable frequency control method.

Third Harmonic Injection Circuit to Eliminate Electrolytic Capacitors in Light-Emitting Diode Drivers

  • A new third harmonic injection circuit for light-emitting diode (LED) drivers is proposed to eliminate electrolytic capacitors and thereby extend the lifetime of LED drivers. When a third harmonic current is injected to the input current of the LED driver, the required capacitance of the driver can be reduced. The proposed circuit can control an injection ratio and has simple circuitry. The synchronous third harmonic is generated by a phase locked loop (PLL), a 1/3 counter, and op-amps and applied to a power factor correction circuit. Thus, the storage capacitor can install film capacitors instead of the electrolytic capacitor. The value of storage capacitance can be reduced to 78% compared to an input power factor of 100%. The proposed circuit is applied to the 80W prototype LED driver to experimentally verify the performances.

  • Field emission properties of expanded graphite composite have been studied. Composite has been synthesized via shear mixing expanded graphite in ${\alpha}-terpineol$ and ethyl cellulose. Field emission properties, of screen printed composite has been measured at a static applied electric field. The details of the analysis have been presented.

  • 한국전력공사에서는 전압원 인버터형 FACTS 기기인 UFPC를 전남 강진군 강진변전소에 설치하였다. 강진 UPFC는 한전과 (주)효성이 공동으로 투자하고, 지멘스와의 기술제휴를 통해 개발하였으며, 40MVA 병럴인버터, 40MVA 직렬인버터로 구성되어 총 80MVA 용량이다. 강진 UPFC는 GTO를 이용한 3레벨 인버터 모듈 20MVA 총 4대로 구성되어 있으며, STATCOM, SSSC, UPFC의 3가지 운전모드를 갖는다. 현재 병렬인버터는 강진 모선전압 제어, 직렬인버터는 강진-장흥간의 조류제어에 기여하며, 상용운전 중이다. 본 논문에서는 강진 UPFC의 운전결과 및 효과를 분석하였다.

  • In this study, the heart rate variability(HRV) signal of operating patient was acquired according to anesthesia progress and identified to evaluation possibility of depth of anesthesia in each anesthesia stage. The HRV signal was analyzed time-frequency domain applied to Wigner-Ville distribution method, the characteristic parameters were extracted for evaluation of depth of anesthesia in each anesthesia stage. The progress of general anesthesia was divided into the states of pre-operation, induction of anesthesia, operation, awaking and post-operation.

  • 전기자동차는 내연기관 대신 배터리를 동력으로 하여 전기모터를 구동하는 방식으로, 배터리를 충전하기 위해서는 차량 탑재형 충전기(OBC)가 필요하다. 자동차라는 특성상 OBC는 2단 AC/DC 컨버터로 구성되어 있다. 역률 보정을 위한 PFC 단과 절연과 충전을 위한 DC/DC 컨버터로 구성되어 있다. 손실을 최소화하기 위해 고전압을 이용한 링크 캐패시터가 필수적이고, 그 캐패시터는 전력밀도가 큰 고전압 전해 캐패시터가 사용된다. 하지만, 전해 캐패시터는 그 수명이 온도와 리플 전류에 따른 ESR 발열과 주변온도에 따라 좌우된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 6.6kW 차량용 탑재형 충전기를 위한 링크 캐패시터용 고전압 전해 캐패시터의 최적 설계 방법을 제안한다.

  • In order to investigate antibacterial activities of Zedoariae Rhizoma against Streptococcus mutans ATCC27351, paper disc test, minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) test and pH check were carried out. The 80% ethanol extract of Zedoariae Rhizoma(ZXE) showed significant activity. The MIC of ZXE was 25.0mg/ml.

  • Damping materials encompass a broad range of materials, including, but not limits to, pressure sensitive adhesives, epoxies, rubbers, foams, thermoplastics, enamels and mastics. Their common characteristic is that their modulus is represented by a complex quantity, possessing both a stored and dissipative energy component. Loss factor of damping material analyzed more than 2 times than rubber to 1.5 $\sim$ 2.3, could know that Damping layer has excellent attenuation performance in side of vibration reduction. Measurements of vibration using accelerometers by adhesion of Damping layer, square Plate by Separation of Damping layer is less binding of Damping layer, analyzed low loss factor and Natural Frequency by free Vibration of Square Plate.
